in the world of "Harry Potter,"

and you're coming with me.

This is "Harry Potter:
Hogwarts Tournament of Houses"!

Now, why are we
all here tonight?

Because J.K. Rowling's novels

about a young wizard
named Harry

have of course become
a global phenomenon.

years ago this month,

the first film
featuring a certain

bespectacled boy wizard
hit the theaters.

And well, the world
would never be the same again.

You know, we've assembled
some of the world's

biggest "Harry Potter" fans.

And across our epic tournament,

they'll compete house
versus house.

[cheers and applause]

I promise you, the victorious
team will win prizes galore,

but the greatest honor for
the winning team will be this.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts
Tournament of Houses Trophy.

[cheers and applause]

This evening's contest is
a classic battle of courage

and steely nerve versus
hard work and dedication.

It's Team Gryffindor
versus Team Hufflepuff.

[cheers and applause]

For our first order
of business,

we need to select
six contestants from out there

to represent
tonight's two houses.

And we are of course going
to do that, well, how else?

"Harry Potter" style.

Oh, that was fun.

So we begin
with team Gryffindor.

and Brittany.

Representing Hufflepuff,
Adriana,

So given that this is the th
anniversary of the first film,

I'm curious, Trey, what were
you doing years ago?

I was the exact same age
as Harry,

when he got his letter
in the first film.

Since that day, like,
I never looked back.

I breathe "Harry Potter."

I heard a little rumor about

And so we just kind of wanted
to make a safe space

for that diversity.

it's a manifestation

of how incredibly universal
the "Harry Potter" stories are.

in New York with my husband

and our two cats,
Bradley Cooper and Donatella.

I'm very much driven by
the relationships in my life.
