Newscaster (over TV): This is Kiesa Marks, reporting live from West Englewood, where nine people were k*lled tonight in what investigators are calling a mass homicide.

Local police here are being extra quiet, and there are few details beyond a body count.

But what I can tell you is that the victims did not die from g*nf*re.

These were all brutal stabbings.

I did talk briefly to Superintendent Jaffe, who said this is clearly g*ng-related.

It's a familiar night in Englewood.

People are afraid and very angry.
