(WHISTLING)

(HORN HONKS)

(TIRES SCREECH)

(GRUNTS)

Whoa!

Get clear! It's gonna collapse!

(METAL CREAKING)

Oh!

What...

I got this!

(METAL CREAKING)

(GRUNTS)

(YELLS)

Okay, maybe not.

(GRUNTS)

Hold it steady.

The Hulk?

(GRUNTS)

(GROANS)

And Thor?

Young one, your quick thinking saved many lives today.

Tell us, what is your...

Hey, it's not every day you get praise from the Avengers.

What's your name? What are you so afraid of?

Huh?

I'm Iso. And I know you're working with them, the National Security Council, making all us new Inhumans register.

I came to study in the U.S. because I thought I'd have freedom here.

Turns out I was wrong.

Iron Man: So, what do we tell her, Cap, that Truman Marsh has ordered us to bring in every new Inhuman we find, that that's her reward for saving all these people?

We have our orders...

But we also have our integrity.

Maybe we can help you.

She isn't the first new Inhuman we've met who just wants to be free.

Marsh's regulations only create more problems.

Marsh: This is unacceptable.

You were given a job.

You wouldn't want people to ask whose side you're on, would you, Iron Man?

We're on the side of what's right, Marsh, or we aren't Avengers at all.

Let me make this very simple for you.

Follow your orders, or there won't be any more Avengers.

What you're asking us to do isn't justice.

It's your dirty work.

We're done being your pawns.

Captain America: Black Widow's right. As of today, consider the Avengers disassembled.

Man: (OVER SPEAKER): The world is on high alert. and the Avengers are nowhere to be found.

The Vector 5 Space Station has fallen out of orbit, its three astronauts trapped on board.

It's headed straight for New York City and could crash into Times Square just minutes from now.

Everyone in the area should get as far away as possible.

Without the Avengers, can anyone save New York?

What do we have here?

(GRUNTS)

Seat backs and tray tables up, ladies and gentlemen.

I'm gonna take care of you from here.

I do not think they can hear you, Captain Marvel.

Vision!

Captain Marvel! You're here, too?

Huh! Well, it's good to have backup.

Huh! You think I'm your backup, Ant-Man?

I'll get the door.

(ELECTRICITY CRACKLES)

Black Panther!

Please. Step aboard quickly.

Hey! Whoops! Oh, sorry about that!

Songbird, right?

Ms. Marvel, help me get these people out of the way.

Crowd control coming up.

Everybody move!

(CROWD CLAMORING)

Red Hulk: Look out. Coming through. Easy!

Good to see you, Red Hulk! Just in time!

Marsh said something about destroying a space station.

Sounds like fun.

Can't hold it much longer!

(LAUGHING)

(CHEERING)

Oh, boy.

(w*apon CHARGING)

(CROWD CHEERING)

OMG! Captain Marvel! It's you!

Yeah, Ms. Marvel. I've heard good things.

I like the name.

Uh...

(SQUEALS)

Marsh: Well done, team.

I trust you'll continue to exceed my expectations.

Wait. "Continue"?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! You just called and said to show up here.

I didn't think this was, like, an ongoing thing.

Working together, you saved a lot of lives today.

I think you're the perfect heroes to be the new Avengers.

The new what now?

Yeah, I don't know about that.

Have you checked with Tony?

The Avengers are more than Tony Stark.

And there's never been a bigger need for heroes in an uncertain and dangerous world.

Are you saying you're not interested in serving the citizens of Earth?

I already do that on my own.

A world without Avengers is a problem, but I'm not sure this is the solution.

I have a headquarters prepared for you.

Just take a look.

Marsh: Mighty Avengers, welcome to your new home.

Whoa-ho! Jackpot!

Avengers Tower? I don't know. This doesn't feel right.

Yeah, this isn't just the Avengers HQ. It's their home.

Kind of feels like we're intruding.

Really? Well, I'm all for it.

Those other guys left their jobs and abandoned this place.

Finders keepers, I say.

Since the Terrigen Mist created all the new Inhumans, the world needs Avengers.

The world needs you.

Which means working for you, registering new Inhumans and fitting them with a tracking disk?

Just making sure everyone is playing by the rules.

We cannot allow those with powers to run wild and endanger ordinary citizens.

Since the Inhuman city of Attilan was destroyed, everyone's just scared.

But if Black Bolt thinks registration is necessary to keep everyone safe, I guess it's okay.

What if someone doesn't want to be registered?

That's already happening.

People won't go down without a fight, which is what I am now ready to have.

Are you ever not ready for a fight?

(ALARM BLARING)

Hydra's attacking our NSC facility downtown.

They must be after our prototype exo-suit.

Time to take action.

First, we take care of this thr*at.

And then we continue this conversation.

(g*ns BLASTING)

Over to you, officers.

You will now find this area Hydra-free.

Team One has secured the entrance.

Team Two, you're up.

(GASPS)

(CHUCKLES)

(GUARDS GRUNT)

(PUNCHING AND GROANING)

Can't believe I'm an Avenger!

We work great together.

Team Two has secured the captives.

Team Three, you're up!

(PUNCHING)

(RED HULK GRUNTING)

What is this?

I knew the Avengers quit.

I hadn't heard they'd found such pathetic replacements.

What's pathetic is you showing up here after your last smack-down, Baron Strucker.

Yeah. Heard you tried to re-start the Black Widow program and your own protege took you out. (LAUGHS)

She was a fool, as are you for thinking you can stop my Hydra soldiers.

Hope you thought of some good last words.

In fact, I have.

(g*ns COCKING)

Destroy them!

Hail, Hydra! (GRUNTS)

Ant-Man, come with me.

(BLACK PANTHER GRUNTING)

ANT-MAN: Show-off! Let me teach you the subtle approach.

(SCREAMS)

(GRUNTS)

Strucker: Not impressed by what I've seen of you replacement Avengers so far.

Yeah?

Then how about a real close-up look?

(GROWLS)

Oh, whoa!

I'll take you all apart, starting with the biggest first!

(GROANIN Mighty Avengers Assemble! Help Red Hulk!

Keep the big tomato from getting crushed!

Hands off my teammate!

Whoa!

Ah!

(GRUNTING)

Black Widow: Long time no see, Baron!

But not nearly long enough.

Heard someone's taking credit for my exo-suit design.

The Avengers! I mean, the old Aven... I mean, yay!

Surprised to see them here.

Unless they've changed the design, that uni-beam blast bought us a few seconds.

Take him down.

(STRAINING)

First, I'm gonna take care of you, and then I'm getting you for that tomato cr*ck!

Finish him!

Finish him!

You will never defeat Hydra!

And yet we keep proving you wrong.

(GRUNTING)

Gotcha!

Or not.

(GRUNTS)

So, if we're the Mighty Avengers, are you, like, the Renegade Avengers?

Where'd you hear that?

Somewhere. Nowhere.

Okay, I made it up.

Ms. Marvel: Tony Stark!

What do you think you're doing?

We got a lead that Baron Strucker would be here.

You quit, remember?

You've been replaced by us.

At least we know that the world needs Avengers right now, not renegade vigilantes.

You mean to track down children and play government stooge?

Society needs order. That is clearer than ever.

How long before one of the new Inhumans destroys another town?

Hey, wait a minute! Not all of us new Inhumans are dangerous.

You sound like Marsh, Black Panther.

You've never known what it's like to have to fight for your freedom.

(GROWLS)

We should leave before this gets ugly... Er.

(GROWLS)
Nice to see you guys.

Stark: "Renegade Avengers."

That's what the kids are calling us.

Steve: As long as Marsh and his National Security Council are in charge, we're on the enemies list.

Fine by me.

I'd rather run with the heroes than stand with the villains.

We aren't running.

It's just that sometimes you can't see the answer without getting some distance from the problem.

You know, it's time to stop this.

Cap, how about we pay a visit to Marsh's bosses?

Who do you think you are to summon us in the middle of the night?

Especially after you refused to follow government orders.

You mean Marsh's orders.

Look, we're hoping to find some common ground.

You can't rely on force alone to keep the peace.

Your Inhuman registration campaign is causing fear and resentment.

Now we even have heroes on opposite sides.

Maybe it's time to rethink this.

You do not understand the big picture.

So fill us in!

You know what you need to know.

Trying to deal with bureaucrats is always a waste of time.

Wait a minute.

Look, there are those of us who agree with you.

These new Inhumans need your help.

And how do we do that?

There's a raid planned on some Inhumans who are resisting registration.

Tomorrow night.

Marsh is sending the Mighty Avengers.

I'll send you a secure message with the location.

(SIGHS) Do we trust him?

It matches the coordinates I was sent.

I'll scout ahead alone.

If they see the whole team, they'll think we're here to round 'em up.

I can warn them about the raid before...

(RUMBLING)

Earthquake?

It's too localized.

I have no idea what it is! Whoa!

(YELLS)

It's me!

Huh?

Huh?

(SNARLING)

Hulk, you got this?

No problem!

(ROARING)

Stop!

Haechi, they're not the enemy.

I heard they gave up.

But now they've come for us!

Flint! No!

(GRUNTS)

That look like giving up?

(GROWLS)

Hey, hold on, kid! We're on your side!

(ROARS)

Someone's gonna get hurt or worse.

These kids need a time out.

Iso: And you need to back off.

(GROWLS)

Oh! The air...

Is fighting back!

I control the air. Is this what you meant to do?

Thor: Enough!

They know you're here.

They're coming for you.

Wait! Why would they warn us?

Maybe we should hear them out.

Could have turned you in before, but we didn't.

(AIRCRAFT WHIRRING)

Just go.

We'll hold them off as long as we...

Ms. Marvel: Inhumans, we've come to register you.

You will not be harmed, as long as you and the ex-Avengers do not resist!

Danvers. Stand down!

It doesn't have to go like this.

Seriously, are we all working together again?

(GIGGLES) This is great!

They're not here to help.

We are here to help, just not you.

It appears that you've located fugitive Inhumans.

Our orders are to report them for registration.

Huh? What?

(GAS HISSING)

I don't see any Inhumans. Do you?

Come on. Let's go!

Ms. Marvel: This isn't some simplistic fight between good and evil.

There are real stakes here.

Whatever you think you're doing, Captain Rogers, stand down.

I know exactly what we're doing.

And until today, I would have sworn on my life you'd be on the same side.

You cannot disobey the law just because you have super-powers.

You don't know what it's like to be different.

To be hunted.

You know what they call a guy with powers that breaks the law?

(g*n COCKING)

A super-villain.

Whoever's on my side better get behind me right now.

If that's the way you want it...

Wait, why do I get Hulk?

Don't do this. Don't make us do this.

Let's do this!

No!

Thor: I do not wish to hurt you.

But if it is a fight you want, you shall have one to remember!

(GRUNTS)

(WHIRRING)

Whoa! Anyone else want to take Thor?

Anyone? (SCREAMS)

(GRUNTS)

Look, kid, we don't have to fight.

We could work this out.

Owie.

(GRUNTS)

This is a waste of our talents, Stark.

We are leaders of men, not petty combatants.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

Where'd he go? Friday, take a memo.

Stealth Mode.

I have got...

(GRUNTS)

My wings!

Get out of there, you bug!

You're not seeing the big picture, Falcon.

(GASPS)

(GROWLS)

Wait! You were right.

We don't have to fight.

Um...

Sucker punch!

(CHUCKLES)

(LAUGHING)

You got nothin', bow-man.

Oh, I got a little something.

(GROANING)

When I agreed to be a hero, I didn't think it'd be like this.

You don't always get to pick your battles. It's just that...

I get what we're doing here, but I don't like fighting my friends.

It just doesn't feel right.

Kind of the same feeling you had when you were part of the Masters of Evil?

You don't have to follow their rules.

You can decide for yourself.

I can.

And I do.

(ROARING) No!

What are you doing?

What's right... Finally.

(GRUNTING)

(GRUNTING)

(BOTH GRUNTING)

Even if we win, we've hurt the people we care about.

We just need a better plan.

If I buy you some time, you think you can get away?

Run away in the middle of a fight?

You're not running away.

You're getting some distance to come up with a solution.

I think it's all we've got.

Okay, but I'll be back.

(SONIC PULSE BLARES)

(SCREAMING)

That's one.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

That's two.

(GRUNTS)

And three. Go, Natasha.

We're all counting on you.

(GRUNTS)

This ends now!

By Odin's beard!

(GROANS)

Cap's down!

Cap! Cap! Get up!

Get up, Captain Rogers.

That's an order!

Black Panther: Enough! This battle is over.

Come on, Steve. Just hang in there.

How can you act like you care about Cap now? This is all your fault!

No. The fault is my own.

I called this man a friend, and now I have struck him down in battle.

Marsh gave us orders, and they're still in effect.

Take them into custody, and get Cap to a medic.

Pronto!

(GROWLING)

Let 'em do what they gotta do, Hulk, as long as it gets Cap to a doctor.

This is, like, totally embarrassing, but I'm really still a big fan.

Where is Romanoff?

Where is Black Widow?

Natasha? (CHUCKLES) Good luck.

You don't find her unless she wants to be found.

And by then, it'll be too late for you.

It doesn't matter.

What can one person do that the entire Avengers can't?

Let's find out.
