My wife, Lois, has breast cancer.

She's been coming here,
to Hob's Bay, for chemo,

and, uh,

thanks for having me.

Who'd like to start?

Avi, how's Raj?

Oh, still a big baby.

Surgery went well,
but the recovery is long.

So now, I'm doing everything.

The burden on a spouse is real,

and it's healthy to be honest about it.

Have you told Raj how you feel?

Oh, how I feel is I
never should've let him

move his big dumb TV into the bedroom.

Victor, how are things at home?

I guess I'm just trying
to count my blessings.

Nancy's last scan was
better than expected,

but her doc keeps warning me

someday soon that won't be the case.

I'll be able to face it.

I haven't shared this in a while, but

six years ago, my husband was
diagnosed with colon cancer.

Dan was a runner...

a.m., six days a week.

Through chemo and all the surgeries,

he kept getting back out there.

He was my miracle...

Until he wasn't.

He was told the end was inevitable,

but Dan had no quit in him.

Even as the chemo

took his body

and the pain became a constant,

he pressed on.

And one day, I realized

he was only doing it...

hanging on...

for me.

[SIGHS] So...

I sat beside him,

took his hand...

And I told Dan that it's okay

to let go.

that I could be one of them.

I've been in this a long time.

My husband's still

How do you handle it?

I remember he's doing his
best and try to be patient,

and other times, I yell.
