Last night, I was on a high
after the Usyk fight.

Had a great party.
Me and Paris were dancing.

It was an excellent night.

This morning, in bed, I got a phone call

telling me that my cousin, Rico,
has been k*lled.

[Superintendent Ewart]
This is a senseless att*ck.

Both victims should've
returned home this morning.

Rico Burton was described as funny

with a passion for boxing
inspired by his famous cousin.

It was like someone
had took the plug out of me

and me life had come out of me.

Rico had a whole lot of life to live.

And now it's finished.

Shocking news. Shocking.

[Paris] We got a bit of
a devastating phone call

this morning at : a.m.

Um... Tyson's first cousin,
who he was really close to as a kid,

um... has been stabbed
and m*rder*d in Manchester.

Tyson's been in an upset mood.

A state of shock, I think.

I knew the boy all me life,
since I was a teenager.

And it's a horrible thing.

Um, Tyson doesn't handle death very well.

He doesn't really know
the normal sort of procedures of life,

and he just handles it in his own way,
so his own way today,

is he's locked himself in the room,
hasn't spoken to us

since he got the phone call.

I think he'd like to be at home right now.

And he can't go anywhere,

'cause he's got something like
, people to go to a show tonight

and to be the cheery, upbeat Tyson Fury
that they've all paid to come and see.

Um, so he will more than likely do it.
I don't know how he does it.

He'll just dig deep and find his space

'cause he is a showman and that is
what they do, rain, sun or shine,

he'll put on a show
and he'll do what he needs to do.

Me dad has always said
all our lives, like,

one phone call
can turn your world upside down.

When I was getting the phone call,
I knew it was bad news.

It was : in the morning, phone call
of me cousin, Justin, which,

he doesn't get out of bed till :
usually on a weekend.

I knew it was gonna be bad news.
I just knew it.

[Tyson] Me and Rico were really close,

we trained at the same
boxing club together.

We used to play up and down
when we were small kids,

hide and seek, building dens.

All that sort of stuff as kids,
we were really close.

Precious... Precious moments.

All I know is he's been
stabbed in the neck and he's dead.

There's a lot of cowards out there.

Shithouse cowards who have to use a Kn*fe.

Anyone who uses a Kn*fe as a w*apon
should be castrated.

Or a red hot poker shoved up their arse.
As punishment.

'Cause it's cowardly tricks.

If they'd have went outside
and had a scrap,

someone would have had a busted nose.

This morning, he'd have been
healing a cut up, a scratch.

But now, one fella's in a morgue,

and one fella's getting years
in prison, so what has that solved?

Life is very, very, very fragile.

You go out for a beer,
watch your boxing, wind up dead.

Crappy though that you're just stuck here.

You've got to go and do this show tonight.

And you can't just
do what you wanna do, do you?

There's not much I can do about it.

So this might be a turning point
in my life, for sure,

with that bit of bad news.

It made me wake up and realize

there's a very short time on Earth.

It's shook me up, to be honest with you.
It's just hell on Earth.

It's terrible, and it's knocked Tyson,
it's knocked me about,

'cause every time I put me head,
I'm thinking about that child.

Tyson doesn't deal with death very well,
but none of us do.

So what he tends to do
is think to himself,

"Life ain't worth living.
What am I doing all this for?"

"Why have I done what I've done in me life

when it can be taken away
in the blink of an eye?"

We're putting brave faces on,
but tomorrow will be a different matter

when we touch down back in the UK.

[Tyson] "Two arrests for m*rder of
Tyson Fury's cousin, Rico Burton,

stabbed to death
outside a bar in Altrincham."

"The -year-old was knifed
outside a bar in Altrincham

that someone so close to you

has been stabbed and k*lled.

And it made me question my own existence.

And who I am, what I'm doing

and why, sometimes, I get down about sh*t.

emotional man in the world.

A cr*ck on the head with a piece of wood,
a lump of iron at your head,

I can take all that.

But when you're messing
with emotional pain,

I'd rather face an army

than face one feeling what death brings.

That was a real eye-opener for me.

I've had me blood turn cold

you never know when your time's up

away from disaster.

And so it's been a real,
real awakening day that I've had.

I've had that many emotions today.

I'm not really too sure how to handle it.
I'm shocked, to be fair.

But it's not everyone's fault in here.

You people came here to see the show,

but I've had a f*cking day from hell,
to be honest with youse.

But you know what,
it's made me realize one thing,

-that life and time is very precious...

from anybody at any time.

And I'm glad that I can actually

And that I actually

and I've not got brain damage,
not getting pushed around in a wheelchair.

I can see people getting photos of him

he's in a real pleasant mood about that.

especially in the mood he's in.

He's there trying to sit, have peace

and people coming over
taking photos of him.

We're in it, ride or die.
We've been through some tough times.

We've had some serious tough situations,

whether it's been the kids being ill
or me being in hospital,

or Tyson having his depression times.

We've went through some tough stuff,
we can make it through anything.
