[children] ♪ They'’re two, they'’re four, they'’re six, they'’re eight ♪

♪Shunting trucks and hauling freight ♪

♪Red and green and brown and blue ♪

♪ They'’re the really useful crew ♪

♪ All with different roles to play ♪

♪Round Tidmouth Sheds or far away ♪

♪ Down the hills and round the bends ♪

♪ Thomas and his friends ♪

[steam hisses]



[Narrator] "Timothy and the Rainbow Car"

[Narrator] Bill and Ben are two cheeky engines.

They love praying tricks on Marion.

Bill?Where areyou, Bill?

Over here, Marion.

-Oi! Marion!-[Marion] Ooh!

That'’s not Bill!That'’s Ben! [laughs]

I'’mBill.

No, I'’mBill.He'’s Ben.

-No, I'’mBill.-No, I'’mBill.

-[sighs]-[both laughing]

[Narrator] But Marion'’s not the only one

they play tricks on.

-[toot toot]-Hey! Salty!

Race you to the shed!

Ha-ha-harrr!

[laughs]

Ha-harr!I'’m the winner!

-b*at you!-What?!

-Oh.-[both laughing]

Ahhh. You twoand your pranks.Ha-ha.

[Narrator] But the engine they liked to play tricks on

-most of all is...-[both] Timothy.

the little oil-burning engine

that works at the clay pits.

Hey, Timothy!

We'’re lookingfor a car.

Yes. A lostcar.

It'’s very important.

Then I'’ll help you find it.

Wait a minute.

Is this one of your tricks?

-No. No.-Not at all. No.

-Not a trick. Definitely not.-No way!

Oh. Okay, then.

So, what does it look like,

this lost car?

-It'’s orange.-It'’s red.

It'’s red andorange.

And yellow. And green.

And blue. And indigo.

Andviolet.

Well, that'’sa very colorful car.

And that'’s whyit'’s so important.

We reallyneed it.

We really need itto do...something.

Something important.

So, if you could find it,

then you'’d bevery clever indeed.

It'’s a surprise.So don'’t say anything

if you seeSir Topham Hatt.

You can count on me.

[toot toot]

[Narrator] Timothy set off in search of the car,

quite certain he was helping his two friends.

[toot toot]

Hello there, Timothy.Where are youoff to?

Oi, I'’m looking for a car,Thomas. It'’s very special.

It'’s red and orange--ooh!--and yellow.

And green.

Really?

That does sound unusual.

And blue and indigoand violet.

[laughing]That'’s all the colorsof the rainbow!

I don'’t think that there'’sa car like that on Sodor.

Oh, no, Thomas.There is.

And it'’s very important.

[Narrator] At Brendam Docks,

there were lots and lots of cars

in lots and lots of different colors.

But Timothy couldn'’t see a car like the one

Bill and Ben had told him about.

-[kids laughing]-[parrot squawking]

[Narrator] Timothy chugged past Sodor Animal Park

with its colorful parrots.

He spotted the Duchess of Boxford in a multicolored dress.

[toot toot]

And he saw a group of children flying colorful kites.

But no multicolored rainbow car.

[laughing]

Timothy traveled all the way to the shunting yard

in search of the rainbow-colored car.

Then there was trouble.

Timothy! What are youdoing here?

You'’re meant to beworking at the clay pits!

Uhh, yes, sir.I mean, no, sir.

I wasn'’t lookingfor a special car.Goodbye, sir.

-[toot toot]-[Timothy whimpers]

[Narrator] Timothy was disappointed

not to have been able to find the car.

[kids laughing]

Nothing could cheer him up.

Nothing at all.

Timothy decided to take one last look

-at Brendam Docks.-Hi, Cranky.

Can you help me?I'’m looking for a car.

There are a lot of carsat Brendam Docks, Timothy.

I know, but I'’m looking fora very specialone.

I thought you might be ableto spot it from up there.

All right, then.What does it look like?

Bill and Ben saidthat it'’s red and orange and--

well, allthe colorsof the rainbow.

I'’ve seen a lot of cars,Timothy,

but I'’ve never even heardof a car like that.

Ha-ha-ha-harr!I have!

You have?

Aye, matey. Arrr.

Ta-da! What did I tell ya?

All the colors of the rainbow!

But that'’s justan old waste car

full of smelly old garbage.

Do you think Bill and Ben haveplayed a trick on me, Salty?

Aye, Timothy. I'’d say so.

But I'’ve been running aroundall over the island, and...

this car doeslookjust like the onethey were asking for.

Arrr. And so that'’s the carthey'’re going to get!

Whether they likes itor not!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

[toot toot]

[Salty] Arrr!You show '’em, Timothy!

Ohhh!What'’s that stinky smell?

I don'’t know.It smells like...rotten fish.

Or worse than that,it smells like...

[toot toot]

[both]Dockyard waste?!

Timothy!

Hey, Bill. Hi, Ben.

[Timothy] I found that caryou were looking for.

That'’s not the car.

There isno such car!

[Timothy]But it'’s red and orange,yellow and green,

blue and indigo and violet.

Just like you said.

We made it up!It was a joke!

Shhh. Ben, look who'’s coming.

So, it'’s true!

Salty told me you sent Timothy

steaming around the island

on a fool'’s errand.

Oh.Yes.

Sorry, sir.

You have caused confusionand delay.

And for that,I'’m putting youon waste collection duty.

[sniffing] Ohhhh...

And you can startby taking this carof dockyard waste

to the dumpwhere it belongs.

[both] Oh, no!

[laughing]

[laughing]

Come on, Bill! Hurry up!

It'’s all right for you!

I'’ve got to pull thiswhiffy car... andyou!

Well, it'’s all right for you.

I'’m getting coveredin stinky garbage!

Ooh! Fwahh!It'’s a bit pongy!

-You mean youare.-Did you just call me pongy?

-Yes, I did, you'’re pongy!-No, youare.

-No, you are. You are...-You are. You are...

[steam hisses]

[whistle blowing]
