It's raining leaves, father bear!

I thought you were going to help me.

[Laughs]

Whoo!

[Both laugh]

[Laughing]

What are you doing

Father bear?

Shh... I'm listening.

[Wind blowing and whistling...]

What are you listening to?

I'm listening to the wind.

What is the wind saying?

He's saying...

[Wind gusts]

"Frost is coming to visit."

Frost?

[Wind blowing and whistling...]

When will frost be here?

Soon.

And after he visits

We'll get our first snowfall.

And then will the pond freeze over

So we can go skating?

[Laughs]

Yes, little bear.

Where are you, frost?

He must be hiding.

Old frost wiggles his toes.

Where is he hiding?

Nobody knows.

[Laughs]

Old frost

Wiggles his toes.

Where is he hiding?

Hmm...

[Laughs]

Whereishe hiding?

Nobody knows! Grr...

[Laughing]

[Both laughing]

You're getting bigger, little bear.

I am?

Where are you going?

I'm going to find frost.

[Humming...]

Mother bear?

I'm looking for frost.

Have you seen him?

No...

[Wind gusts]

Brr... But I can feel him.

You can?

Yes... There's a chill in the air.

My, your fur is getting thicker.

[Laughs]

Father bear says I'm getting bigger, too.

You're growing, all right.

Where are you, frost?

Do you think frost is hiding in our garden?

I don't know.

Old frost wiggles his toes.

Where is he hiding?

Nobody knows.

Well, if old frost is going to

Wiggle his toes in my garden

I'd better get busy

Covering up the rosebushes.

Can I help?

Mm-hmm.

We need to cover them with straw

So they don't catch a cold.

There.

No feet!

Hello, little bear.

Where are you taking my bed?

I'm sorry, no feet.

We have to cover up the roses

Because frost is coming.

Where is he?

He's hiding.

I don't see him, little bear.

Me, neither.

Old frost wiggles his toes.

Where is he hiding?

Nobody knows!

[Laughs]

[Both laughing]

Goodness.

[Sighs]

Well, good luck finding frost, little bear.

[Yawning]: it's time for me to take a nice, long winter's nap.

Good-bye, little bear.

Good-bye, no feet.

Sweet dreams.

Are the roses ready for their winter's nap?

Mm-hmm.

In the spring, they'll grow bigger

With green leaves and beautiful flowers.

I'll grow bigger in the spring, too.

Yes, you will.

Speaking of naps...

Uh...

I'm too big to take a nap.

I'm going to help father bear with the firewood.

Did you find frost?

No.

He's still hiding.

Do you need some help?

Thank you, little bear.

We'll make a woodpile by the house.

With frost coming, we'll need a fire tonight.

[Grunting]

Let me help you, little bear.

No, thank you, father bear.

I'm big enough to do it myself.

Oh.

[Grunting...]

[Rustling]

[Little bear laughs]

I wonder if little bear is hiding with frost.

[Giggles]

Mother bear: who wants to come in

And have hot cocoa by the fire?

I do!

I guess little bear

Is too busy hiding with frost

To have any hot cocoa.

I'll drink his.

Wait! Here I am!

[Laughs]

[Both laugh]

I want hot cocoa, too!

[Crackling]

[Father bear snoring and whistling...]

Am I taller?

Yes, you are, little bear!

And next spring, I'll be even taller.

But no matter how tall you grow

You'll still be my little bear.

[Snoring...]

[Humming "my bonnie lies over the ocean"]

Warm enough?

[Laughs]

[Yawns]

[Kisses]

Old frost wiggles his toes.

[Yawns]

[Yawning]: where is he hiding?

[Wind blowing...]

[Crackling]

Nobody knows.

Oh, there you are.

Mother bear, I'm going to build a snowman today.

You are?

Yes, and I'm going to make snow angels.

I see.

And I'm going to throw snowballs and taste a snowflake.

But there isn't any snow.

It's going to snow.

[Laughs]

Well, I don't know, little bear.

No one can make it snow.

You just have to wait.

Not today, mother bear.

I'm going to make it snow.

Mmm...

Bye, mother bear.

Come back soon.

I'm making nice hot soup for lunch.

Are you sure there's snow up there?

Of course there is.

But it has to fall a long, long way.

We'll just have to wait.

Not too long, I hope.

I was in the middle of a very good book.

And I was in the middle of a very nice nap.

I wasn't in the middle of anything.

Do you think the snow knows we're waiting?

Maybe the snow is sleeping.

[Yawns]

Wish I was sleeping.

Little bear: we could make a lot of noise.

Then the snow would wake up.

Duck: good idea!

I'm going to make it snow!

Yoo-hoo!

Hello, snow!

Wake up! Wake up!

Do you think the snow heard us?

I certainly did!

Then why isn't it snowing?

Perhaps we made toomuchnoise.

Oops! Sorry.

Maybe the snow doesn't like noise.

Maybe it likes singing instead.

We could sing it a song.

A song!

Oh, yes, I like songs!

And I like snow!

And I like songs about snow!
