Looks like princess pea needs our help.

How's it going up there?

Hi, princess pea, hi, queen pea.

What's going on?

See that beautiful rainbow?

Whoa, that's awesome!

I want to play on it,

But my mom says I can't.

Oh, sweetie.

I know it looks like fun

To play on the rainbow,

But it's just not possible.

Yes, it is!

Look.

[ Grunting ]

Whoa! [ Sigh ]

Oh, split pea!

It's not working.

Oh sweet pea, a rainbow

Is an arc of coloured light.

It happens when the sun shines after it rains.

It is beautiful,

But you can't play with a rainbow, darling.

Oh, whyatt.

I'm so upset!

I really want to play on the rainbow.

But I can't!

This sounds like a super big problem.

And a super big problem needs us...

The super readers!

We need to call the rest of the super readers.

I want to reach the stars, but I can't!

Hey, that's just like my problem.

I want to play with the rainbow,

But I can't.

And that, super readers,

Is why we are in this book!

Princess pea and ella

Both want to play with something, but can't!

We need to find ella

And see how she plays with the stars.

To ella!

Let's roll.

[ ♪♪ ]

Can you help me try and reach the stars?

I just want to reach out and grab them!

[ Grunting ]

Sure, ella!

I'm a great jumper.

Let me try to reach the stars.

[ ♪♪ ]

[ Grunting ]

[ Giggling ]

Jumping didn't work.

How will I ever get high enough

To reach the stars?

[ ♪♪ ]

Alpha pig to the rescue!

With my amazing alphabet tools,

I can help us climb this rocky hill.

And then we'll be high enough

To reach the stars!

I'll use my fabulous flashlight!

Okay, say the alphabet with me.

Ready, set, alphabet!

Where's the "g"?

Children: there!

Alpha pig: "g"! Great!

Let's climb onto the "g"!

[ Grunt ]

Huh. Whew!

This is quite a climb.

Uh-oh!

Okay, um...

Now we need the letter "p".

Hmm, which one's the letter "p"?

Children: that one!

Alpha pig: "p"! All right!

Stepping onto the "p"!

[ Grunt ]

Ugh.

[ Sigh ] hmm.

"V" comes after "u".

Where's the "v"?

Children: there!

Alpha pig: "v"!

Very good.

Almost there!

[ Grunt ]

[ Grunt/pant ]

Lickety letters!

We climbed up the rocky hill

And made it to the top!

Let's give ourselves a big thumbs up!

Be sure to look out for super letters.

[ ♪♪ ]

Which ones?

Children: "i"! "I"! "N"!

"I", "i", "n".

Now we need to put them in...

Our super duper computer!

Four more super letters

And then we'll get our super story answer!

Right on, readers!

We're really high up.

Maybe now I can reach the stars!

[ Effort grunt ] come here, you silly stars!

We'll help you, ella!

[ Straining ]

Whew...

Even up on this hill,

I still can't reach them.

Me neither.

I'm not even getting close!

[ Gasp ]

There are stars right here on the water!

I'm going to get that big shiny one

Right there.

[ Splashing ]

Huh?

These aren't stars!

They're just reflections of the stars.

Yeah! Like in a mirror.

Look.

The real stars are still wa-a-ay up there.

Still pretty far away.

That means just one thing:

We have to go even higher!

And I know just where to go.

Look over there!

Wow!

It's a huge mountain!

We can climb the mountain

And get even higher!

Super duper!

And then I can reach the stars!

To the mountain!

[ ♪♪ ]

Oh my peas!

We'll never be able to climb up

This tall, tall mountain!

How will we ever get to the top?

[ ♪♪ ]

Cue the sparkles!

Cue the music!

Princess presto to the rescue!

With my magic spelling wand,

I can spell the word "balloon"

To lift us up to the top of the mountain!

[ Giggle ]

Wands up!

Spell with me!

What letter makes the sound "buh-buh-buh?"

Children: "b"!

"B"!

Write a lowercase "b" with me!

Now, we need the letter "a".

Write a lowercase "a" with me!

Now, what letter makes the sound "l-l-l"?

Children: "l"!

"L". In "balloon", there are two "l"s.

Let's write two lowercase "l"s.

Now, we need an "oo-ooh" sound.

In this word, the "oo-ooh" sound is made

By two "o"s together.

Let's write two lowercase "o"s.

Make two little circles like this.

And finally,

What letter makes the "n-n-n" sound?

Children: "n"!

"N". Let's write a lowercase "n".

Presto!

[ Gasp ]

Spectacular spelling!

We spelled "balloon"

And now we can float to the top of the mountain.

Let's take a bow.

[ Grunting ]

[ Sigh ]

I still didn't get any stars.

[ Gasp ] wait!

[ Laughing ]

I don't know if these are stars.

They seem a little... Fast.

Hey, these aren't stars.

They're fireflies.

But I don't want to play with fireflies.

I want to play with the stars!

I don't think I realized

How high the stars really are.

I don't think I can reach them.

[ Sigh ]

And that means I'll play with nothing.

It even says so in my story.

See?

I'll never play with the stars!

[ ♪♪ ]

Super why to the rescue!

With the power to read,

I can change this story and save the day!

Let's change the word "nothing"
