We live in a big, beautiful world.

I'm Leo.

I'm Andy.

And I'm Carmen.

Our parents work in a circus that travels

all around the world and we travel with them.

So we never know where in the world we will end up next.

(train whistling)

But wherever we go, we know that

Luna the Moon will be there with us.

Andy: Where's Luna?

Leo: What's that thing sticking out of Andy's trailer?

(creaking)

Hm...

Okay.

Uh-huh...

What's that, Andy?

This is my brand new telescope!

I named her Jessi.

What's it for?

You mean what's SHE for?

I'm using Jessi to look at the stars

and planets in the night sky!

Can you tell where the Circo is on our planet

by looking at the stars?

Hmm...

Well, maybe, I mean, somebody probably can.

Magic Globe: I can!

All: Hi, Magic Globe!

Magic Globe: Ah, just as I thought!

Looks like we're in Delhi, India today.

An old city and home to many amazing thinkers

plus unique buildings and temples!

You can really tell where we are by looking at the stars?

Magic Globe: Sure!

I love astronomy!

Astronomy?

What's that?

Magic Globe: Astronomy is when people learn about

the stars, planets, sun, and moon!

Here in Delhi, India, there are famous

astronomical buildings from years ago

called Jantar Mantar.

Instead of a telescope like Jessi,

people used buildings like these

to study the day and night sky.

All: Thank you, Magic Globe!

Since looking at the moon is part of astronomy,

could you use Jessi to find Luna in the sky?

Hey, yeah, Luna always spends the night in the sky!

Let's say good night to her before we go to bed!

Good call, my astrono-pals, let's take a look!

Hmm...

I can't see Luna anywhere.

Maybe you're telescope isn't working?

Aww, Jessi.

Wait a minute, I can't see Luna either!

Oh no, where is she?

We always say good night to Luna!

I don't know if I can sleep

without our friend Luna in the sky!

I miss her already.

She's never gone missing before,

but I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

Hey, Magic Globe told us about

those buildings for studying astronomy

and looking at the moon is part of astronomy,

maybe we can use the buildings to find Luna?

Oh yeah, Jantar Mantar!

Good idea, Andy!

Yeah, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

Let's get some sleep and look for Luna

in the morning at Jantar Mantar.

Yeah, okay.

Good night.

Good night, Luna, wherever you are.

(peaceful music)

(wind whistling)

Oh, get back here, hat!

Children!

Hey, you children!

I am in desperate need of assistance!

Do you know where Luna was last night?

I always read my book of funny hats by her moonlight!

See the funny hats!

Yeah, uh, hilarious.

Yes, yes, well, I read about the funny hats

and then I say good night to Luna,

and then I fall right asleep!

But last night, she wasn't there!

We know, we couldn't find her either!

That's why we are going to Jantar Mantar to look for her.

Ah, yes, I happen to be an expert on, uh, Jantar Mantar,

maybe I could come along?

Sure, I'll see if I can find Jantar Mantar

looking through my telescope (chuckling), I mean Jessi.

(energetic music)

Hmm, nope!

(booming) Not here either.

Huh?

What's that?

Hmm, it's a hat?

Hmm, wait, yes, yes, hmm.

A Chinese silk ribbon, a fine Italian weave,

slightly amusing and quirky.

Yep, that is definitely Luna's hat!

It is now my duty to carefully care for

this magnificent hat until we have found our friend Luna.

But Luna always has her hat.

I sure hope she's okay.

Not to worry, children!

We will set off to find her at once.

Follow me to Jantar Mantar!

There it is! (Fabuloso screaming)

Ah, of course.

Follow Jessi to Jantar Mantar!

Huh?

Aw, now where did my hat go?

Awesome!

Jantar Mantar!

This place is the coolest!

Jantar Mantar seems really old,

I think it's older than my great-grandad,

Howard E. Hopper!

(chuckling) And he's old!

Focus, we're going to use Jantar Mantar to find Luna.

If we can understand how.

Check it out!

Maybe we can use this building to find her.

Ooh!

I wonder what it's for?

Hmm!

Yes!

I believe this building was a model for Swiss cheese

and it's been used, let's see,

for a billion years!

No one knows for sure.

Actually, I don't think you're right, Senor Fabuloso.

It says right here on this sign, see?

"This building is the Rama Yantra.

It is used to measure and study objects in space,

like planets and stars."

Rama What-tra?

Oh, that can't be right!

It's an astronomy tool just like my telescope, only huge!

But it's only years old, not a billion.

It could tell us things about Luna, if she wasn't missing.

I miss Luna!

Uh, guys, what about that one?

All: Oooh!

I must admit, I do not know what that one is.

Let's check it out!

Wow, it's ginormous!

But what is it?

It's Samrat Yantra, Andy!

Another astronomy tool, a giant sundial!

What's a sundial?

A sundial tells you the time of day using the sun.

As the sun moves above the triangle,

the sundial's shadow moves and shows you what time it is.

See Andy? The shadow moves!

Kinda like a big clock!

Yeah!

Hello?

Who needs a clock?

We already know what time it is without Luna.

(sniffing) The worst time!

Don't be so sure, Leo.

Sumrat Yantra is so tall,

Luna can probably see it from wherever she is!

Yeah, maybe we could put

something up there for Luna to see?

Ah but children, you are missing something very important!

We do not have anything to put at the top of the sundial!

We would need something Luna can recognize from far away,

something she has a strong connection to,

something she is never without!

I'm afraid all is lost friends,

we have no such object.

Hm? What?

What are you looking at?

(gasping) Oh, no, no, no, no, no, oh, oh, oh.

Perfect!

I have to admit, I've grown quite fond of that hat.

Now Jessi and I will keep a lookout

Carmen: Two Brothers.

Hi, this is Carmen with a tale from India.

Once there were two brothers on two neighboring farms

who had a disagreement.

Sadly, they went on fighting

until they stopped talking to each other at all!

One morning, a worker came to the older brother's farm

looking for jobs to do.

The older brother said, "See that farm across the creek?

"My younger brother lives there.

"We don't talk anymore.

"I want you to build me something

"so I won't have to suffer seeing his farm everyday."

The worker said "I understand.

"I will do a job that pleases you."

The older brother went to town

while the worker began sawing and hammering.

At sunset, the older brother returned,

shocked to find the worker had finished

a fine bridge

stretching from one side of the creek to the other!

And who was coming across but his younger brother,

smiling with wide-open arms!

"My brother," he said,

"you built a bridge to welcome me!

After all that has happened, you show such kindness!

I am sorry we ever fought.

Can we please be friends again?"

They hugged and made up,

but then saw the worker leaving.

"Wait," they said, "we have other projects for you!"

"I'd love to stay," said the worker,

"but I have more bridges to build!"
