Hi, cute little cricket guy, it's me, Hal!

And did I mention dark?

Some animals wake up when other animals go to sleep, I guess.

But why?

Let's see what they're doing...

Hey, look! The raccoon's looking for food.

SQUEEKS: Whoa! The bat's finding food too!

Eww! It's trying to eat a moth!

Moth? What's a moth?

Is that even a word?

Moth? Sounds weird.

A moth is an insect that's sort of like a butterfly.

But some moths only come out at night.

Right, just like bats.

Hey, maybe the bat hunts at night,

'cause that's the best time for it to catch its food,

like that moth!

Why anyone would want to eat a moth is beyond me.

Exactly!

So, you see, Nature Cat?

Night time isn't anything to be scared of.

There's an explanation for everything going on out here.

Yes, yes, I can see that now.

Some animals are out and about, looking for food.

Ha ha, there's nothing to be scared of--

Except for that!

How do you explain that?!

I... have no clue!

Oh, it's just an owl.

Hi owl, it's me, Hal!

(Hooting)

Whoa!

Looks like the owl is hunting too!

She's using her hearing to help find food.

Wait a minute! Since we can't see as well in the dark,

we can use our hearing like the owl does to find the hat!

Well, that's a really great idea Squeeks,

but my hat doesn't make a noise, it's just a hat.

But I think it did make a noise.

I kinda remember it sounding like this...

(Growling)

Ha ha! Oh, Daisy, that's a good impression of the hat!

It did make that noise! I heard it!

Then lets listen for the growling sound!

It's our only sh*t!

Ha ha! The mystery of the runaway hat is solved!

Oh, man, Nature Cat,

you can't catch a break with this hat stuff.

I thought that hat was something to eat.

My bad.

You ate my hat?!

No. I did not eat it.

I merely dropped it by some moonflowers.

Goodbye.

Everyone! To the moonflowers!

Quick question, what's a moonflower?

Hmm, well, since it's called a moonflower,

maybe it's a flower that blooms at night.

Makes sense to me!

Let's go find the moonflowers!

Onward and yonward!

So, how do we find the moonflowers
