[moody music plays]

[Bin] "Tang."

"I don't think I can go with you."

I'm sorry I couldn't
tell you the truth in the end.

You'll be fine without me.

You're the one with the skill.

Just do whatever your gut tells you to.

If you do that,
everything will work out just fine.

[Tang] I had no choice to begin with.

Life isn't an essay question.

It's multiple-choice.

But then again...

maybe everything so far was my choice.

Maybe there is no right answer.

And now

I'm about to make another choice.

A k*ller PARADOX

[somber music plays]

[sighs]

- [Kim] Your mother...
- [Jang] Hmm?

[Kim] She's okay.

Thankfully.

She'll regain consciousness soon.

[Jang] Hmm.

Hey...

We will make sure to

take care of, uh... your father's funeral.

[Kim sighs]

- [whispers] Okay.
- So you should go home... and rest.

Okay.

See you.

Yes, sir. Detective Kim!

Did you see Detective Jang?

Why? He just left here.

The boss has been on my ass to find him.

This really isn't the right time.

It's just... he hasn't gone back
to return his firearm yet.

So I think...
something could get out of hand.

[dramatic music plays]

- Where's Song Chon?
- [starts engine]

[tires screech]

Stay low.

[sighs] Detective Jang.

I don't know what I could possibly say.

I'd be lying if I said
I knew how you feel.

Hey, take it easy.

I promise,
I'm going to get this Song Chon.

So don't worry.

Go home and get some rest, okay?

I'll finish up here
and go to the funeral home.

Yes, sir. Thanks.

- [Myeong-jun] Are you okay?
- [Jang] Yes, I'll be fine.

- You want water? I have some in the car.
- [Jang] No thanks, sir.

[tires screech]

Hey! Detective Jang!
Detective Jang! Detective...

[intense, dramatic music playing]

- [music fades]
- What are you gonna do with Song Chon?

[phone buzzes]

DETECTIVE KIM

[Bin] And what are you gonna do
about Tang?

Hey, you keep your mouth closed,
or I'll have to k*ll you first, okay?

[phone buzzes]

HEROES

You know how I told you
that Tang is different?

[phone buzzes]

DETECTIVE KIM

I told you to shut up.

Tang is special.
You know it, too, Detective.

Tang leaves no evidence behind.

After I k*ll Song Chon,
you and Tang are next.

So that's not gonna change anything.

- I'll help you catch Song Chon.
- [scoffs]

I don't care what happens to me, but Tang...

Could you just leave Tang alone?

[poignant music plays]

[group chatting]

[man 1] Hey.

- [man 2] What's he doing?
- [man 1] Hey, that's mine!

Stop! Stop!

[engine stuttering]

[clunking and spluttering]

Ah sh*t.

[groans]

Oh sh*t.

[panting echoing]

[Bin] All of this happened because of me.

So I have to take responsibility.

[poignant music continues]

EUNSUNG CHICKEN

You know that the people Tang k*lled
all deserved to die.

- [woman screams]
- [Ji] Hey.

- [screaming]
- I was there when he k*lled Prosecutor Ji.

This video was found
on the prosecutor's phone.

[woman crying]

And you know
the high school girl from Daejeon?

It was Prosecutor Ji's doing.

[woman sobbing] Please let me go.

[scoffs]

[tires squealing]

Are you saying
you two abducted and k*lled him?

- [music stops]
- Huh?

- Because you weren't catching him...
- f*cking crazy m*therf*cker!

- [whimpers]
- [Jang] You think you're God?

Who are you to choose?

Do you have the right to decide
who deserves to die? Hmm?

And what about you?

You're not going after Song Chon as an
officer of the law. You've got a vendetta.

[sighs]

[Bin] Am I wrong?

My father was...

I have a good enough reason for it, huh?

[breathing shakily]

[gasps and sniffles]

[Bin] Just listen to me.

Song Chon has nothing left to lose.

And after this whole case is over with,
I'll take my punishment.

I have everything
planned out, from A to Z.

- So just...
- [sighs]

Just, please,
won't you hear me out for once?

[suspenseful music plays]

ROH BIN - ME
OSAN

[power humming and crackling]

Don't tell me. [coughs]

[music fades]

[Chon] You came alone.

That's no fun.

[Bin] You should stop now.

I'll do anything you want me to do.

[Chon sighs] I don't want
anything from you.

[Bin] I know that I'm the only one
who can help you right now.

You know that too.

[Chon] If I k*ll you right here,

I'll have just enough time
to go and k*ll Lee Tang too.

[Chon] Hmm?

What's that noise?

I can hear the gears turning in your head.

[chuckles] It's a lot of fun.

Trying to guess what you've got cooking
up there in that, uh... in that noggin.

[laughs]

You're just too predictable.
You know that?

Aah.

[scoffs]

I was planning to k*ll Lee Tang
to start with.

Screwed up my order. Hmm.

By the way,

are you two working together?

I knew you would come. [coughs]

This is earlier than I thought.

Goodness. [sighs]

Right, okay.

When you ratted me out last time,
he's the one you told. Am I right?

Yeesh, you little...

Dirty little rat.

He's using you, you know? Huh?

All his life, he's been out to catch me.

- For cracking his dad's skull...
- You mean to k*ll, not to catch.

[Chon] Hah.

[mysterious music plays]

[crow cawing]

[heavy breathing echoing]

[loud buzzing]

[Chon] Nan-gam.

Are you really here for revenge
against your ol' ajeossi?

[power surges]

You should be thanking me!

He wasn't exactly living the life.

Besides, I put him out of his misery.

You were thinking about
when to put him down, anyway.

You're right.

Thank you.

So what?

You gonna pull the trigger this time?

You just don't have
the eyes of a k*ller, kiddo. Huh?

[power humming]

[laughs happily]

Lee! Lee Tang! Now this is exciting!

Hey, this time, you didn't run away!

The balls on you!

Points for you, champ!

[Bin] Tang, why are you here?

[sighs] To end it all.

So let's have
a real grand finale, shall we?

[click]

[Chon] Hey, hey, hey, wait.

Hey! Hey, hey, hey!

Hey, punk...

[grunts]

Hey, don't sh**t! Don't sh**t!

Nan-gam, just wait. Hey!

Hey, shouldn't you be
sh**ting at him, not me?

You're supposed to be a cop!

Cut it out!

You little... Gah!

Oh, jeez, I can't believe he sh*t at me.

- [squelch]
- [Chon grunts]

- [sounds slow]
- [yelling echoes]

[g*n fires]

[splashing]

[echoing thud]

[sounds return]

[Chon gasping]

[Chon groans]

- [squelching]
- [Tang gasps]

[Chon grunts]

[Chon] Farewell... kid.

[sobbing] Oh... oh no...

Didn't you know... it ends like this?

Hyung.

Ah. [sighs]

- [breathing heavily]
- [Tang] Why?

Why? Why did you have to come here?

We could've just...

lived our separate lives.

[Chon grunts]

Because I was needed.

[emotional music plays]

This world,

well, it could really use

people like us.

[Chon] You see...

BLIND VICTIM TURNS OUT
TO BE m*rder*r OF HER PARENTS

...I had to know...

[siren blaring]

...if you were like me.

I INSULTED MY ELDERS

How...

I m*rder*d CHOI IN-SEON

How could you distinguish them?

And were you ever certain...

And could such power...

IDENTIFICATION CERTIFICATE
LEE TANG

...really exist?

Are you different?

Are you different

from me?

Do you think that you are? Huh?

Are you certain?

Just shut the hell up.

[Chon sighs]

[Chon] Nan-gam.

[chuckling]

- What do you...
- [shuffling]

...think you know that justifies
doing this to me?

What does your mom say?

Your mom...

[laughs softly]

Your mom... wasn't any better.

You wanna tell that disgusting story now?

[mom] Right. The station food
can't be good. [laughs]

Oh!

Oh, um, I'll call you back later.

OFFICER att*cked AND PARALYZED

BY SUBORDINATE
INVOLVED IN DRUG CORRUPTION?

You have no idea how little I care
about who you slept with.

- So just cut the bullshit.
- [Chon groaning]

[Jang] It's pathetic.

[yelping]

[gasps]

Park Gwang-su, it was him!

Your dad's friend!

He's the one she cheated with.

- No.
- You bastard.

Do you... think I'm just
some filthy homewrecker?

You're clueless, aren't you?
You little punk.

So go ahead.

sh**t.

Only,

if I die,

you'll wonder

why your dad was in there.

You'll wonder for the rest of your life.

Are you okay with that?

- So what do you say?
- [power buzzes]

Should I tell you?

[music fades]

[man panting]

Oh, good evening, sir.

Have some of this. [chuckles]

[cop 1] Thanks.

- [Chon] Captain.
- [captain] Hey.

- [Chon] How are you?
- [captain] Good.

[Chon] You must be tired.

Detective Jang. Detective Jang.

You must be tired.

[Gap-su] You.

Why are you here?
Shouldn't you be working?

Uh, the shift starts in two hours.
And the captain said I could join.

Stop being a nuisance
and go to work. This isn't a game.

What, you got nothin' else to do?

Well, I... just wanted to help out.

Well, you aren't.

Cut it out. Get lost. Go.

Jeez.

[captain] Come on, man.
Can't you be nicer to him?

This stays between us,
but he didn't make it again.

[chuckles] It's like...

it's like
his dead father is holding him back.

[Gap-su] Still, you can't call him here.
He's not Violent Crimes.

[captain] I mean,
the more the merrier, right?

[wheezing]

[man] Put your hips in it!

Take it easy. You're not a pro.

[Chon] I did boxing, judo.

DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO TODAY
OR FAIL TO DO IT WHEN YOU NEED

I tried everything I could.

[under breath] What's the address?

And learned everything I could.

[Gap-su] Thanks for the meal.

- [woman] Thanks.
- You're welcome. [chuckles]

Ah, Jesus. What's with that idiot?

[chuckles]

- Ma'am.
- Yes?

- I heard you're going back to Yanbian.
- That's right, next week.

That's great.
You'll finally see your kids.

It's all thanks to Detective Jang.
[laughs]

- [sighs]
- [Chon] Ah.

Yeah, and they kept talking
about that stuff.

[Chon] Uh, Detective Jang?

Hold on.

What is it now?

Uh... I'm sorry. Go ahead, sir.

What? What is it? Just tell me.

Uh, you heard, right?

Ms. Hwang from the cafeteria
is going back to Yanbian.

Huh? So?

I thought we'd pool a little cash.

I don't have time for this. Get lost.

Ah. Sir.

[Gap-su] Hey!

Come here.

[Chon] Yes, sir?

Here, give her this. Tell her I'm sorry
I can't give it to her in person.

Wow. Yes, sir!

[gentle music plays]

[Chon] Everyone at the station pitched in.

Aww! You really didn't have to.

Oh, and this. Detective Jang told me
to give this to you.

Aah. This must be
what he was talking about.

What is it? Is it not for you?

Ah, no, it's not mine.

He... he asked me to... to go to
China and deliver it to someone.

- [chuckles]
- Ah, I see.

[woman on TV] ...number of victims
is expected to increase exponentially

as these gift card frauds are run
as part of a pyramid scheme.

Our next story.
Hwang, a Korean-Chinese woman

who attempted
to smuggle methamphetamine into China,

has been apprehended by the local police
and is currently under investigation.

It is said she has been smuggling
methamphetamine

by diluting it in herbal medicine.

APPREHENDED SMUGGLING METHAMPHETAMINE

The Chinese police found

[Chon] Your father, Jang Gap-su,

he had...

He had been pushing massive
amounts of dr*gs for five years.

Detective Jang.

- Yes? Oh, hello.
- Hello.

I know that you had wanted me
to help you and bring this to Mr. Baek,

but I couldn't find the time
to meet him, and...

[Gap-su] Ah.

[Chon] He took advantage of that poor,

naive lady and was using her
as a drug mule for the Korean-Chinese.

[breathing shakily]

[sighs]

[sighs]

[door closes]

Who are you to tell me to come and go?

Detective Jang.

Yeah? What?

[gentle music continues]

Ms. Hwang is okay, right?
She'll be released soon, right?

What? What about her?

Th... there's no way you'd do
something like that, would you?

Uh, all she did
was work at the cafeteria...

What are you even talking about right now?

Th... this must be a cover, right?

Some big plan to take down a drug ring?

She's in on it, and I'm the only one
who wasn't told what's going on, aren't I?

You bastard.

Hey. Have you been drinking?

Huh?

Why would I have been drinking?

[sighs] For f*ck's sake. Come on.

No, no, hang on. Wait.

- You gave me the box to give to Ms. Hwang.
- What box?

- Move, assh*le!
- You told me to.

- It was the box on the news!
- What? I never did that.

Sir, why are you lying to me?

- What's going on?
- You bastard! Seriously!

[thumping]

[Gap-su panting]

Listen.

Hey.

[sighs] Everyone's got their reasons.

Did your father k*ll people
because he wanted to?

Do you want people to point fingers at you
for being the child of a m*rder*r?

I saved you
when you were just a starving kid.

And you do this? Huh?

I knew the whole time.

I knew I kept failing my promotion

because you made sure I didn't get it.

But I wanted to think that you...

you maybe had a reason.

- I guess I was wrong.
- Oh.

This again?

You little... [laughs]

Song Chon, just think about it.

How could the son of a k*ller, huh,

ever be a Violent Crimes detective, huh?

It's okay for a dirty cop to be one?

You little shithead.
I'm gonna k*ll you, I swear.

- f*ck's sake!
- [Chon grunting]

Get down. Stop it. Down, you little sh*t!

Please, sir, just tell me why. Why?

Aah.

Look at you.

How did you hide this all along?

Just look at those bloodthirsty eyes.

Son of a k*ller.

To Jang Gap-su,

I was nothing but the son of a k*ller.

Stop. Let go.

- Damn it, let go.
- Stop it, sir.

[Gap-su] Let go!

- [Chon] Don't do this.
- I told you, let go. Let go!

- [Chon] Please stop.
- [grunts]

I see the apple doesn't fall far.

You want to be a k*ller like your dad?

[Chon sobs]

[sounds echoing]

[Chon] When I gave him the first blow,

his face said, "What was that?"

The second blow,

he looked at me

like I was the bad guy.

[music intensifies]

The third blow,

that's when he started screaming.

After the fourth blow,

he seemed to finally realize
that he was in trouble.

That disgusted me.

So I gave him

the fifth blow.

And then the sixth.

- [squelching]
- [Chon] And finally, the seventh.

[breathing shakily]

OFFICER att*cked AND PARALYZED

METHAMPHETAMINE SMUGGLER
TAKES OWN LIFE

[Chon] And now, here we are.

[music fades]

Don't you get it yet?

So why would you take revenge?

If anyone, I'm the one who should have it.

- [trembling]
- [Chon panting]

[Chon laughs]

Oh, Nan-gam, I pity you, kid.

Ah. Ugh...

Your father was...

a corrupt cop.

Your mother...

was obscene, a depraved cheater.

[laughing]

[groans]

[Tang] Let me finish him.

[Chon whimpering]

So you think you're God?

[Tang] You've...

never k*lled someone.

- Ah. One last thing...
- Aren't you just as bad as he is?

- If you aren't certain either, then...
- But you should be different.

[sobs]

...you should die too.

[menacing music plays]

[slowed squelching]

- [sh*t echoing]
- [music stops]

[dramatic, melancholy music plays]

[scoffs]

[power humming]

- [sighs]
- [music fades]

It's not...

easy to k*ll.

- Until you get used to it.
- [Jang trembling]

It's all over now.

I won't run away again.

[gentle, somber music plays]

[power buzzes]

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

[gentle music continues]

[man] Captain Jang Gap-su, you were
a proud member of the police force.

INSPECTOR JANG GAP-SU'S FUNERAL CEREMONY

Ever since you joined us,
you have worked hard and diligently,

making an example for others to follow.

You were a loyal friend
to your fellow officers

and always put others first.

You were a true police officer

who carried out his duty without fail,

and who put people's lives
and safety first,

even when your own was in danger.

Today, we mourn the loss
of a great and competent officer.

However, we will not forget you.

You will always be in our hearts.

We will continue to honor your spirit,

in our work as police officers ourselves.

I was unconscious for three days
after the brain surgery.

I'm still unable to move my head.

This is a subarachnoid hemorrhage, okay?

I have recovered a lot in just ten days
in here. Not everyone does.

I'm just saying that some people can take
several years to ever fully recover.

According to my doctor,
I have my fitness regimen to, uh... thank...

[glass clinking]

[footsteps]

[sighs]

So why are you here?

- Me?
- Yeah.

You're here for a reason, aren't you?

Hey, I'm just here to visit, all right?

That's nice.

By the way,

the nurse is super cute, right?

[sighs]

Just saying,

she's been especially kind to me.

That's why I'm gonna
ask her out when I get out.

[Jang] What are you gonna say
when you ask her out?

[Yong-jae] "I'm actually a detective."

"A Violent Crimes detective."

"I was injured
while going after a criminal,

and I'll catch the guy
when I get discharged."

So, yeah.

- Be sure to give us the full report, okay?
- Sure. So, How do you think it'll go?

I think she'll say yes.

You didn't file an appeal
for your suspension in the end.

I did something wrong.
I should be punished for it.

[woman laughs]

I don't understand.

- You could've said it was self-defense...
- Just...

Please just cut to the chase.

Okay, then.

Hmm. I'll try to make it brief for you.

Did he seem like
the sort of person who'd do that?

[tuts] I thought it was the profiler's job
to figure out that sort of thing?

I'm only following standard protocol.

We have the evidence.
Your statement has to line up.

If you have evidence in front of you,
maybe you should trust that.

So what's the conclusion, then?

- [emotional music plays]
- [profiler] This is our conclusion.

[Myeong-jun on TV] Song Chon has been
on the run after k*lling 30 people

and two police officers
over the past five years.

POLICE BRIEFING ON THE APPREHENSION
OF SERIAL k*ller SONG CHON

After a long pursuit,
we found him and eliminated him.

His accomplice and co-conspirator,
Roh Bin,

who helped Song Chon

and m*rder*d five victims,

including Prosecutor Ji,
Professor No and Gyeong-bae,

was also eliminated at the scene.

Ron Bin's incriminating evidence,
the alibi, and circumstances.

They all fit perfectly.

We found evidence that he researched
his victims for a long time.

All of the murders were planned
by Roh Bin.

To be able to close a case like this,
you must have a culprit.

[profiler] We found a large number
of what we suspect to be m*rder weapons

in Roh Bin's storage room.

[Bin] And... I'm the one
who knows about all the cases.

So,

let me be the one to finish it.

[profiler] He's much more meticulous
than he seems.

How did he leave no prints?

Spotless crime scenes. It's striking.

But... we did find one decisive clue.

No matter how careful you are,
you're bound to make a mistake.

Fortunately, or...

Really, it's a bit unfortunate.

There was a heavy rain on that day,

so we couldn't find any DNA evidence.

But ironically, he left his teeth marks.

On the day Song Chon d*ed,

I couldn't find much, with the suspect's
body completely burnt up.

But there was something
that could be recovered.

Roh Bin's molars.

[dentist] Uh...
I don't know if this'll work.

Uh, I've never done this.

Only you can make this happen.

[drill whirring]

[profiler] Roh Bin's teeth alignment is
very similar to Professor No's m*rder*r.

Let's say everything goes as you plan.
What do you get in return?

Justice.

[scoffs]

I'm probably gonna die.

I'm a little afraid.

But I guess
that having a reliable sidekick like me

is part of Tang's powers.

[Jang] Why do you think Roh Bin did this?

What made him so confident in what he did?

Hmm.

From a profiler's perspective,

he's the type who can't differentiate
between reality and fantasy.

A megalomaniac who wanted to be a god.

It's plausible that he was
stunted in his emotional development

as a child and young man.

This was most likely due to abuse.

Emotional abuse, that is,

at the hands of those around him
after his parents' tragic death.

Great, thank you.

We need to make some adjustments.

- We'll start again in a minute.
- Thank you, miss.

Hey, listen, sir, regarding the questions
in the interview we did earlier...

[profiler] I actually have
a question for you.

What is it?

It's about your statement.

Do you think that Roh Bin was
remotely capable of doing this on his own?

And the one
that you were attempting to get, Lee Tang.

He was indeed at the club
and also in Busan.

It's just, we never could find
anything to incriminate him, so...

[laughs]

Well, do you think
this is also a coincidence?

When Song Chon and Roh Bin d*ed,

was Lee Tang there?

[Jang] You.

Why did you have to come back here?

I thought it would never end.

If I, um...

didn't finish what I started...

and do it with my own hands,

I thought that this would never end.

[poignant music plays]

- [Tang trembling]
- [power humming]

This is the choice I'm making.

No one will acknowledge you
for doing this, you know?

[Tang breathing shakily]

[swallows] You're right.

Justice that no one acknowledges...

isn't justice.

[sighs shakily]

I'm done running away.

[breathing heavily]

[click]

[whimpers]

[sobbing]

Was this your luck again?

- [sobbing]
- Lee Tang.

Do you really think that you're different

because of your dumb luck?

[Tang continues crying]

Do whatever you want.

Just like that bastard planned,

you can run away or turn yourself in.

It's really up to you now.

But...

you'll get caught at some point.

Even if it's not by me.

[Tang continues sobbing]

[emotional music continues]

[Tang grunting]

[whimpering]

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

[coughing]

[emotional music continues]

[sirens blaring]

- [man 1] You're in charge of this place?
- [man 2] Yes.

Okay.
Well, how do you think the fire started?

Oh, well, we haven't used
this factory in years, so...

[cop] Right.

[man] If it had been raining and humid,

and maybe someone had turned the power on,

then there could've been an arc
that could've led to a short.

[cop] Sir, when was the last time
you did an inspection on this place?

[man] Right, so...

[emotional music continues]

[sighs] Okay.

Goodness, it's cold.

Ah, he should've come to church
instead of shoveling.

Hey, you're home.

Listen, if you were going
to shovel the snow,

you could've come to church instead.

- Oh, did it snow?
- [gasps] You...

Uh...

[sighs]

[sobbing]

[Chung-jin] All actions have consequences.

Justice above the law?

[music fades]

No matter how just the action is,

you must face the consequences
within the boundaries of the law,

one way or another.

Nan-gam is an idiot.

He quit being a detective
to avenge his father.

He'd be better off
if he stayed put like I did.

That again, huh? I don't wanna hear it.

Talk about something else.

- I don't have anything else to talk about.
- Dong-u, you need to eat.

- Sit properly. Closer, okay?
- [Chung-jin] Absolutely nothin'.

Scooch in.

This is why you always spill food.

Eat up. Aah!

- Here, try some of this.
- This place is boring.

It's so peaceful around here.

- [Chung-jin] Is it expensive to ride them?
- [wife] Probably.

- [Chung-jin] You're right. Must be.
- Dong-u. Stop running! Come here.

Here.

Why are you running off alone?
You startled me.

[wife] Hmm?

[ship's horn blares]

[wife] Honey, what's wrong?

What is it?

Nothing.

What's with you, huh?

[Tang] I'm doing really well.

[quirky music plays]

[Tang] But I don't think
I can come back right now.

[dog barking]

[Tang] I don't think I can handle...

the things that I've done

or the things that'll happen.

[seabirds calling]

[man 1] That's it. That's it.

Okay, that's fine.

[men speaking Tagalog]

[music stops]

[in English] Hi, sir. Excuse me.
Where are you from?

[ominous music plays]

[man] Can I see your passport?

[cockerel crows]

[siren blaring]

[keys jingling]

[lock turning]

[door opens]

[man 1] Hey, Chinese.

Hey! Come here!

Come here!

[grunts]

[music stops]

An illegal stay, a fake passport.

You here to gamble?

That's not it.

Then why are you here?
It doesn't look like you're here to work.

People don't often come here illegally,
you know.

You haven't committed any crimes.

Your records are clean.

So why go through the trouble
of stowing away?

Huh?

[Myeong-jun] All right. See ya.

Ah.

Lieutenant Lee.

Yes, sir?

Did you find anything out of the ordinary
or significant in there?

[sighs] Not sure.

I just don't want to drag this thing out.

The news and YouTubers are
all whipping up these stories

like this is some kind of movie.

[Lee coughs]

It'd be best for us if we wrapped
this one up neatly and quickly, hmm?

- You hear what I'm saying?
- Yeah, well, it won't take too long.

- You sure?
- Yeah.

Of course. Mm.

[Lee] I couldn't find any trace
of Lee Tang anywhere.

Which is why
your statement is so important.

Depending on what you say,
Lee Tang becomes our lead suspect.

Do you suppose, then,

that he might have something to do,
then, with this case in any way?

[siren wailing]

[sighs]

PROSECUTOR AN SE-SEUNG

CASE RECORDS AND NON-INDICTMENT DECISION

SUSPECT: LEE TANG
CHARGE: m*rder

DECISION: DISMISSED [LACK OF EVIDENCE]

[quirky music playing]

SOUTH KOREA

[bus pulling up]

How much?

- Two packs of gum.
- [TV] Breaking news.

- Give me a second.
- Kim was found dead last month.

- Let's see. For two, it's 3,000 won.
- He was the prime suspect in a m*rder.

It occurred three years ago
in Danyang, Chungbuk.

When identifying Kim, the police
found irregularities in his records,

and after a subsequent investigation,

Kim's DNA was studied and found
to match the genetic material

of the prime suspect
in the abduction and m*rder case

in Danyang, Chungbuk, three years ago.

It's beginning to look like
a string of subsequent murders

may also be linked...

[dynamic rock music playing]

- Hey, it's been so long.
- Hey, long time no see, man.

Yeah, how you doin'?

Oh. I'm sorry.

[dynamic rock music continues]

[music fades]
