[Lyla] " Piece of cake"

Hey Stu, pass me the popsicle sticks, please!

[trills]

[Excited] [trills]

[Splash]

[trills]

Perfect! Stu, please pass me the ketchup.

[trills]

[trills]

Stop! Please gently pass me the ketchup.

[trills]

Luke, could I borrow your cereal?

I'll give it back. With marshmallows on top!

Deal.

Thanks! Dad, can I have a cup please?

My waffles!

[Louis] Now here you go, Lyla.

Thanks!

Hey, hey, try not to make too big of a mess.

The catapult's almost done!

Stu, pour the marshmallows, Please!

[trills]

Mom! Liana! Louisa! Check this out--

Wait, is this another catapult?

Do we need helmets this time?

Just watch.

I wish I had some more marshmallows for my cereal--

Psst, Stu! Jump one time right here.

[trills]

[trills]

That... was awesome!

Wow, you caught some this time!

That's my little engineer.

Thank you. Thank you.

Hey girls, it's almost time for your...

Birthday Party!!!

Oh! and there's more...

Luke and I have a super special birthday surprise for you!

[gasp] It's not my cereal, is it?

No! Remember the things we talked about?

With the thing.

Oh, the thing with the thing!

I have no idea what you're talking about.

It's way better than cereal.

Okay birthday girls,

let's go practice your piccolo and trombone duet

And then,

Party time!!

I say birthday. You say party!

-Birthday... -Party!

-Birthday! -Party!

Hey honey.

Dad! Dad!

Did you bake the cupcakes for Liana and Louisa's party?

Sure did.

We want to make them...

Extra special!

Yeah. With cereal on top!

NO!

Not cereal! We'll decorate the cupcakes with frosting on top.

Ooooh, Yum!

C'mon Luke, let's go -

Whoa, hang on a sec, First you need to clean up all those marshmallows, Lil' Loops.

No prob. We'll be super quick!

Ugh, This is taking FOREVER.

You're right, it is a lot of marshmallows...

[gasp] I've got an idea - Stu can help us! He's fast!

[affirmative] [[trills

We just need to give him some directions.

Stu, please pick up a marshmallow.

[affirmative] [trills]

Now, throw it in the bag.

Stu, please pick up a marshmallow.

Now throw it in the bag.

Stu, please pick up a...

Ugh, this is still taking forever.

But that's how Stu knows what to do.

We have to tell him,

each direction,

and not forget anything.

But, you just keep saying the same directions,

Over and over and over and over...

You're right!

It <span tts:fontStyle="italic">is</span>the same thing over and over.

It's like--a loop!

Luke, you can stop doing that now.

Okay.

Hey Stu, please pick up a marshmallow, then throw it in the bag.

And do that over and over again, like a loop.

[affirmative] [trills]

And stop when there are no more marshmallows on the floor.

Go Stu Go!

[trills]

[trills]

And... done.

[Louis] Hey you two and Stu-

--Fifty fabulous cupcakes.

Wow, these look delicious!

Glad you like 'em. I've got to get back to the kitchen.

Happy frosting!

Thanks, Dad. We've got this! Right, Luke?

[nervous laughter]

We do not got this.

You can do it Luke! Watch.

Two dots for eyes.

Then a curvy line.

Then two puffs.

Ta da!

That looks like Liana!

Exactly! And Louisa's is the same, but with one puff.

I did one!

Are we done yet?

We finished three and a half.

So... just

forty-six-and-a-half to go.

Oof-fa-loof! That sounds like a lot.

It is.

[gasp] I've got an idea - Hey, Stu!

[trills]

First, please draw face with the frosting, just like this one.

Then draw another face like that one.

And keep doing those two steps over and over again-

in a loop!

[trills]

Go, Stu, go!

[trills]

Ahh loops - So useful!

Now, let's make two of these cupcake a little different--

[trills]

[sigh]

-Huh? -What?

[gasp] My waffles!

Look, it's me with sunglasses--

AHHHH!

[trills]

[gasp]

Stu, stop!!!

[trills]

Whoa! What happened?

I asked Stu to help with the cupcakes,

but then he made a huge mess,

and--I don't know why.

Huh? That is strange.

Stu always follows directions exactly right?

Uh huh.

So, what exactly did you tell Stu to do?

I said to draw the face with frosting, over and over again,

and then...

Ohhh.

I might not have told Stu when to stop.

I'm so sorry Dad!

That's okay. But we'd better clean this up.

Our customers are looking a little -

[Louis] a little purple...

I know just the thing to clean this up.

Okay if I go to Everett's store,

for a minute

to borrow something?

Yep, just be quick!

Your sisters' party, is starting soon.

[♪♪]

Ev, I need to borrow the biggest, most powerful--

Let me guess.

Stu got purple frosting all over the diner and now you need something to clean it up.

Whoa. How'd you know that?

Just followed the trail.

[awkward laugh]

Follow Me.

Here you go.

Huh?

Are you joking? That's tiny.

I never joke about vacuums.

Remember last week when that tanker truck sprung a leak

and flooded our street with grape jelly?

No...?

Exactly. Thanks to this baby.

Hmm. I'll take it. Thanks Ev.

And this is for you. Bye!

Sweet.

I'm back Dad! Customers, remain calm,

everything is under control!

Uh, Lyla, does Stu know what to do with that?

No.

But vacuuming is just the same thing over and over again -

another loop!

And this time, I'll be sure to tell Stu when to stop.

Hey Stu!

[trills]

If you see purple frosting, then vacuum it up.

And do that over and over in a loop,

Until all the purple frosting is gone.

[trills]

Go, Stu, go!

[trills]

[Baby giggles]

[giggle]

My waffles...

My waffles!

See Luke? Totally fine.

[camera snap]

[gasp]

Stu STOP!!

[trills]

Hey, Mom and the birthday girls are coming down for the party.

What!? No! Not ready not ready!

We need more frosting! [[igh] ]

Whoa! What's up, Lil' Loops?

I told Stu to vacuum up all the frosting--

and he did.

Even the frosting on the cupcakes!!

I didn't even think to tell Stu not to do that.

[groan]

Now our special surprise for Liana and Louisa, is ruined.

Hmm,

That does seem frustrating.

But maybe Stu can still help? He's quick!

But Dad, I already tried to give Stu directions.

It's just not working.

Let's try one more time.

Hey, Stu.

[trills]

Lyla, what's the first step?

Stu,

please decorate all these cupcakes, with the faces

like I showed you...

[trills]

Nice. Luke, what's next?

Uh, do it over and over in a loop?

Sounds good! And then how do we get Stu to stop

after all forty-nine cupcakes are done?

[gasp] Dad, that's it!

We just need to tell Stu, exactly how many to make.

Stu... after you make forty-nine cupcakes. <span tts:fontStyle="italic">Stop</span>!

Go, Stu, go!

[trills]

[laugh]

Woohoo!

Order up!

With time to spare!

Just a few more things to setup.

Wait, what now?

[trills]

Whoa!

Happy Birthday!

So.

Many.

Cupcakes!

Stu, jump one time right here, please!

Looks just like us.

Cupcake twins!

Best--

Surprise--

Ever!

And don't forget Stu!

We couldn't have done it without him.

Aww, thanks, Stu.

[trills]

This one's for you--

Hey, Stu! Eat up!

The trick to tying your shoes

is to do it step-by-step

and in the right order.

So, watch what I do, okay?

Okay, Lyla!

[trills]

Step one--

--hold a shoelace in each hand.

Like this.

Uh-huh.

Step two--

--cross one lace over the other,

and then pull it under that same lace.

Step three--

--you make a small bunny ear

with each lace.

Mmhmm!

Step four--

[trills]

--twist both bunny ears together

and put one of them through the hole.

Ooooo.

Step five--

[trills]

--pull tight and boom!

You just tied your shoe.

[trills]

Wow! It's like magic!

Thanks!

Who wants to try first?

Uhhh,

Maybe Stu should have the first try.

[trills]

Stu, please tie my shoes.

[trills]

[gasp]

[Stu] Ta-dah!

Umm, Stu...

Whoa-aah!

Oof!

Oof-fa-loof!

I meant tie my shoes,

not tie my shoes together.

[Lyla laugh]

Yeah... leeets try this again.

[trills]

[Lyla] "Kibbles and Coins"

[♪♪]

I keep my coin collection in this treasure chest because--

--It's a treasure.

Exxxx-actly!

Whoaaa.

Each coin is from a different country.

I'm saving this spot for a Krone. That's coming in the mail today.

What's a krone?

It's a coin from far away in the country of Norway.

It's silver and it has a hole in the middle.

My mom's taking me to the dentist,

And I don't want my krone to get lost in the pile of packages in the lobby.

Will you pick it up for me?

Yeah, don't worry, your krone is safe with me!

I'm not worried. You're the most responsible friend I have!

[meow]

Hi Kibbles.

[trills]

Kibbles, back inside.

[meow]

See ya when I get back from the dentist. Don't forget my coin!

Don't worry Ev, I won't forget.

[bicycle ring]

[distant dog barks]

Are you still on the lookout for Everett's coin, Lil' Loops?

Yep. He trusts me to get it for him, cause I'm responsible.

Okay, I've got your favorite lunch,

spaghetti and pickle balls.

[trills]

Can't...stop...watching.

[trills]

uh, You'll be here all day if you eat like that.

[laughs]

[gasp]

It's here! It's here!

Hey Stu, Help yourself.

[trills]

[Satisfied] [trills]

[Chuckle] Everybody loves spaghetti and pickle balls.

Hmmm...

No..

No...

No.

Everett Phan, this one!

[trills]

Hmm...

The box is too big to fit through the mail slot...

So I'll just wait here for Everett.

[clock ticking]

I sure would like to see what a Krone looks like.

Don't you wanna see a coin with a hole in the middle?

Like a donut.

[trills]

I really shouldn't open it,

but... Everett won't mind if I take a little peek.

[gasp] Ooooh

It looks like a teeny-tiny donut.

Hey!

Gah! Whoa Whoa!

Hey, Stu, catch that coin!

[Sadly] [trills]

What was that?

It's Everett coin!

He trusted me to be responsible and I lost it.

It's not really lost.

There it is. I can see it!

Maybe I can reach it.

My hand won't fit.

Your hand is smaller. See if you can reach it.

Can you touch it? Can you feel it?

Huh? AAAH!

What happened?

Something touched me!

[meow]

That's just Kibbles.

Oh, hi Kibbles.

[meow]

We have to get the coin back before Kibbles takes it.

Or eats it!

Oh, no! Don't say that!

I take it back!

Good. Now, we can figure this out.

It's just a problem we can solve. Right?

Right!

[Right!]

We need something that's long enough to reach the coin

And sweep it back under the door.

Like a broom? Brooms sweep!

Great idea! Be right back.

Bubble gum, Stu?

[trills]

[Chewing]

[laughs]

Take the wrapper off before you put it in your mouth.

[trills]

Uhhh...

Thanks.

[trills]

[Luke] Now you chew it.

[Chewing]

Hmm.

[door opens]

Okay, if the broom can reach the coin and sweep it out, then problem solved!

[meow]

[purrs]

Kibbles, no.

[meow]

Kibbles stop!

[meow]

[purrs]

It won't reach!

The handle is long, try that!

Hmm.

No, it's too big to fit under the door.

What am I gonna do?!

We need something that's small enough to fit under the door

and long enough to reach the coin..

How 'bout my shoelace rope?

Uhhh..

Why do you even have this?

Let's test it out and see if it works.

[meow]

[growls]

[meow]

[meow]

No, Kibbles!

[meow]

Mmm! Ugh!

[meow]

Urgh, Whoa!

My rope!

I love you.

The shoelaces were long enough to reach the coin.

But... Too floppy to sweep it out.

And Kibbles keeps playing with it.

I've got to find something that's small enough to fit under the door,

long enough to reach the coin,

and strong enough to pull it back to me.

There must be something in my room that I can use..

Be right back!

[trills]

[in awe] [trills]

Careful, Stu. Stop before it--

--Pops..

Oof-fa-loof! Pull it off before it sticks to you, Stu!

[trills]

[trills]

[trills]

No, nothing there.

Not long enough.

Hmm,

[gasp]

A wire hanger!

Maybe this could hook onto the coin and pull it back.

I hope it's cat proof!

[Hm?]

[purrs]

[meow!]

[purrs]

Arghh!

What's wrong?

The hangar won't reach!

[gasp] But maybe I can unbend it so it's longer!

[efforts]

Yeah! This should do it.

Got it!

[meow!]

Oh no!

C'mon, Kibbles!

[purrs]

But the coin is way closer now.

Maybe you can get another hanger?

Yeah... on it!

[splat]

Hey,

something's on my shoe!

Uh-oh. It's probably the bubblegum Stu was chewing.

Ugh!

Everett will be back any minute, and this super sticky gum,

won't let go of my shoe!

Whoa!

[gasp] Hey I have an idea.

[Lyla] Luke, let me have your rope again.

It's time to try

fishing for krone!

Okay. I put the gum on the end of the string.

Now, I'll lower the string down through the mail slot

to the coin.

If the coin sticks to the gum,

then we can pull it up and save the day.

[deep breath]

Okay, here goes.

[purring]

[meow]

[meow]

Kibbles won't let me get to the coin.

What am I gonna do?

I have to think of a way to distract Kibbles and--

Wait... Give me the wrapper.

Got anymore?

'Course, I'm not a litter bug.

Here Kibbles.

[meow]

Go and get it!

[meow]

She's gone! Quick! Now's my chance.

A little to the left. Good. More left...left-er...

You got it!

[meow]

Kibbles is coming back!

[meow]

Hurry, pull up!

[meow]

Yeah, We did it! We did it!

[giggle] You did what?

[sigh]

I should've never opened the package in the first place.

I guess I'm not your most responsible friend after all.

Well, you shouldn't have opened it,

but you kept on trying different things,

And finally figured out a way to get my krone back.

That's pretty responsible.

Yeah! You're right!

I'm gonna put it with the rest of my collection.

But first I'll have to wash the sticky stuff off.

[trills]

Hey Luke, do you have any more bubble gum?

Just one more piece.

[chewing]

Guess my piece of gum isn't big enough to blow a bubble.

Same here.

Stu stop, it's gonna--

[pop]

[Luke] Oof-fa-loof!
