The theater tree!
It's on fire!

It's spreading!

-Look!
-Fire! Fire!

Somebody
get some buckets!

The children!

We must
save the children!

-Oh, gosh!
-How do we get out?

Students, I want everyone
to get down on the floor.

Now.

Hey, it's easier
to breathe down here.

Don't panic.

We'll make sure
that we get out safely.

The door isn't hot, Wooly.

I think it's safe
to open it.

Uh-oh. We can't get out
this way, Miss Leota.

Then we'll have
to use the window.

Follow me, Wooly.

Everybody,
to the window.

Woodsprites first.

Wooly and I will help
the Elf students.

You fly for some help.

Okay.

You can count on me.

Oh, Daddy, it's terrible.

The Elf kids are trapped
in the theater tree.

My baby! Let me through.

You can't go in there.

It's too dangerous!

My baby!
I've got to do something!

We'll get them out.
I promise you.

[Wooly jabbers]

Just a little bit closer,
fellers.

I got him.

Oh, it's getting worse.

Ask them to hurry,
Wooly.

They're going
as fast as they can,
Miss Leota.

Bugs, halt!

Calm down, Katie.

Tell me again slowly.

Look! Smoke at 12:00.

Come on, bugs!

Scramble.

Just two more
children to go.

There you go, fellers.

What about you, Wooly?

How do we get you out?

You're still too big for
a Woodsprite to carry.

Gee, Miss Leota,
I've been so busy,

I never thought about that.

Don't worry, Wooly.

I'll think
of something.

-Quick!
-Over here!

-It's still spreading!
-Hurry!

You're safe.

Oh, thank you,
Woodsprites!

Squadron one, squadron one,

cover the houses.

Uh, roger, uh, bug leader.

Gosh, I've never been
this scared before.

I'm a little scared
myself, Wooly,

but I'm not going
to let anything happen

to my star pupil.

All right?
Is everybody ready?

We're ready, Leota.

-Go ahead.
-It's okay.

Take my hand, Wooly.

When I say so,

I want you to jump as far out
from the tree as you can.

Are you ready?

I-- I guess so.

Don't worry, Wooly.

I won't let go
no matter what.

One, two, three, now!

[jabbering]

Ouch!

Dreadfully sorry,
old chap.

-This way.
-Oops.

-No, over here.
-We got him now.

Keep it up, everyone.
Don't give up now.

They're all right.

Hey, everybody,
they're all right!

-[all cheer]
-We did it. Shoo.

You are all right,
aren't you, Wooly?

Sure, I am, Miss Leota.

My tail hurts a little,
but I'm just fine.

Thank you, everybody.

Well, come on,
everyone.

We still have a fire
to fight.

This time, it's my turn
to help you fellers.

I used to be able to carry
that barrel all by myself.

I could have had
this fire out in no time.

Why did I ever ask Gimmick
to make me little?

Ah, L.B., days like today

make my blood run faster.

Yeah, it gives your cheeks
such a healthy, green glow.

L.B.,
I've been thinking.

Twice in one day?

You must be exhausted.

Don't you realize
what I've done?

Tell me.

The suspense is k*lling me.

I singlehandedly
started a fight

between perfectly
good friends. [laughs]

I gotta admit, Tweez,

for once, you didn't
bungle it completely.

What's that, L.B.?

I don't know.
Fireflies?

In the middle
of the day?

Gimmick:
Well, I'm sure that that
is positively, uh, it.

Teddy:
Is the reducing machine
fixed now, Gimmick?

Gimmick:
Unquestionably.
Absolutely.

But, Gimmick,
that's what you said
the last eight times.

Did I? Hmm.

I suppose I did.
[laughs]

Maybe we should test it
one more time.

Katie.

Oh, my. She looks
like she could use
a thimble full of water.

Katie, what is it?

A fire?
In the village.

Gee, Katie.
How bad is it?

Gimmick:
The whole village...
is burning.

This is serious.
We'd better go right away.

Yeah!

Grubby:
To the airship.
Let's go!

Tweeg:
I can see it now, L.B.

I'll go down
in M.A.V.O. history

as the villain who destroyed
the warm friendly relationship

between Elves
and Woodsprites. Ha!

They'll write books about me!
Ha ha!

And then burn 'em.

Egad! My house,
it's on fire!

[laughs]
Don't you just love
a good fire?

Yeah, especially
on a cold winter night.

Or even on
a warm summer day.

I ain't choosy.

I wish we had
some marshmallows.

-Aah!
-Don't just stand there,
you idiots.

Do something!

We are
doing something.

Yeah.
We're watching the fire.

Well, don't just watch it.

Put it out!

You're their leader, L.B.

Order them to put it out.

Gee, I don't know, Twiz.

I must remind you
that our wages

are still forthcoming
for last pay period.

I keep telling you
the check is in the mail.

Please!

Just save my home!

Well, okay.

Let's go, boys.

[laughs]
What are we
supposed to do?

Stamp it out?

Forget it. I just had
my toenails done.

We should be
at the village soon.

I wish we could get
this contraption to go
a little faster.

There it is.
Over there.

Wooly, come with me.
You're our only chance.

I sure hope
this works.

Okay, Wooly.

[laughter]

Hey, everyone,
let's not forget Katie.

[cheering]

But look.

Gosh, Teddy.
What a mess.

Huh?

Look out below!

That fire
did a lot of damage.

Forest fires always do,
Grubby.

It's lucky no one was hurt.

Hmm. I'm afraid
this one's dead.

Whatcha got there?

It appears
to be Elf's clothing.

It is.
I mean, it isn't.

Huh?

It looks like
Elf clothing,

but it's not.

Let me show you.

This stitching
is all wrong.

It's sloppy
and far too big.

No Elf made this.

Although the shoes
are nice.

Wait a minute.
These are my shoes.

That's the shoe
that kicked me.

I'd recognize it anywhere.

So you're the culprit.

I didn't kick you.
I wouldn't kick anybody.

Some very strange things
have been going on here today.

You can say that again.

You stole my hat!

But I didn't.
I thought it was a gift.

A green guy
wrecked my washing.

A green guy was the one
who kicked me.

Oh, yeah? I got pied
by a green guy.

Where is that
green guy anyway?

A green Elf?

That is most peculiar.

About the only green guy
around here is...

All:
Tweeg.

Tweeg, he's always
causing trouble,

and he's green.

It's all
Tweeg's fault.

Let's get him.

Where's my
pea sh**t?

Please, everybody,
please listen.

[jabbering]

Will everybody be quiet?!

[silence]

Now I know
you're all angry,

but revenge
isn't the answer.

Please look around you.

Anger caused this damage.
Tweeg didn't start the fire.

You started it
with your fighting.

Teddy's right.

This would never
have happened

if we really trusted
one another.

We have so much to do,

and the only way
to get it all done
is by working together.

After all, we are
perfectly good friends.

Yep, she's right.

Tweeg's schemes always seem
to backfire on him.

I wonder what will happen
to him this time.

I don't know, Gimmick.

We'll just have
to wait and see.

Tweeg:
And I was having such
a wonderful day

filled with wonderful evil.

All my copies of "Better
Monsters and Villains"
magazine up in smoke.

My collection
of pickled parasites--
poof.

Along with my only
pair of socks.

Mummy never did
go in for knitting.

On the bright side,

her picture did get
buried in the rubble.

And another lucky thing.

At least it's not raining.

Star glum, star gloomy,

why do these things
happen to me?

Rats.

Just let me know when
you need more supplies.

Thanks, guys.

Oh, Miss Leota,
everything's ruined.

We'll never be ready
for tonight's show.

Leota:
Oh, perhaps we should
postpone it.

No show?

-Aw, jeez!
-Nuts!

I'm depressed.

Wooly:
Ah, come on, fellers.
Don't be like that.

We got a whole day
to fix everything,

and now that I'm big again,

we can do it lots faster.

We'll help too.

All you need
is a little organization.

Don't forget us.
We'll help.

Why, thank you, Teddy.

Thank you, everyone.

-Well, students?
-All right!

-Let's go.
-Hurray!

The show must go on!

Very well.

Amanda perhaps you could
help clear away this mess.

No problem.
We'll have it done
in a jiffy.

Heck,
even faster than that!

Teddy:
It's hard to believe
that everything's ready.

Yes. It doesn't seem
scientifically possible.

You sure can get a lot done
when you work together.

I think the show's
about to start.

Okay, Wooly.
We need the set
for the air ballet.

[jabbers]

Here it is!

Stand by for
the air ballet please.

We're ready.

Okay. Curtain, Wooly!

[all cheer]

Everybody on stage
for the big finale.

Everything's ready!

Okay, Wooly, go!
