Meet mike ruggles, a developmental therapist

From the windy city. Well, we're kickin' you guys out right now.

[Girl shrieks] mike's been helping troubled families for almost years...

Aah! Just like that.

[Shrieks] too late. Too late.

And tonight he meets the marko family.

[Crying] I'm sorry. I'm gonna have to put you in your room.

You gave it to yourself. I'm sorry. Knock it off.

Daily battles between this angry father and daughter

Are threatening to tear the whole family apart. It upsets me.

At this point, you're grabbin' her. [Man] totally uncalled for.

Mike's gonna need every trick in his playbook

To bring this family back together.

So the spanking... I hate it.

But will it be enough to save them?

Hello?

I'm mike ruggles, and I've been a teacher

And developmental therapist for almost years.

It's hard to be a parent. It's--there's no days off.

My parents divorced when I was ,

And I rarely saw my dad, and at this point...

Yay! I have no relationship with the man

That should have been my role model. Cheers.

[Mike] cheers! But that experience helps me in my calling...

Oh! Oh! Get it! Ohh! I thought you were gonna get that.

To help parents relate to their kids.

Better make sure you're always praising her.

"Good. That was a great job." My philosophy is simple.

Yee-hee!

I believe in having fun and understanding kids,

And I'll do whatever it takes to get a family back on track.

[Boy] hi!

About their parents' behaviors.
