Whoo-hoo!
[engine chugging slows]
The construction trucks,
Max and Monty,
don't always follow the rules
or listen to instructions,
but one time,
not listening got them
into very deep trouble.
[whistle toots]
All aboard for a big adventure.
[Thomas]
"Deep Trouble."One morning I was takingJack and Alfieto the old lead minesalong my branch line.
What work are you going
to do there?
Miss Jenny says that the area
is being made
into a visitor's park.
[whistle toots]
Why'd you stop here, Thomas?
Can't you go any closer?
Sorry, but I can't.
The last time I was here,
I feel into a mineshaft.
I'm still not sure
if the ground is strong enough.
Okay, Thomas,
thanks for the lift.
Ah, there you two are.
Jack and Alfie, I want you
working on the park's entrance.
Darcy, you will need to dig
a tunnel through the rock face
for the new road leading in.
[snorts] That's all
she can do is dig tunnels.
Yeah, like a little mole.
[laughs]
Max and Monty,
pay attention, please.
I need you to dump rubble
at the front of the main shafts
and stay within
the safety flags.
That goes for everyone.
[all] Yes, Miss Jenny.
And remember
the number one rule.
[all] Safety first.
Right, everyone.
To work.
[drill whirring]
Wait your turn, Monty.
One at a time.
This is ridiculous.
How are we supposed
to get the job done
when we have to go
through such small spaces?
I know, it makes
the work much slower.
We'd be better going
the other way around
where it's more spacious.
But that's where
the old mine shafts are, Monty.
The ground isn't safe.
You might be too heavy.
Hmm, and how would you know?
- I'm a tunnel boring machine.
- Exactly.

was so worried about.

the danger flags,
but we'd never leave
even a naughty truck behind.
It'll take a long time
to dig him out, though.
Even with myself,
Jack and Oliver
all working together.
- What about Darcy?
- [gasps] Yes.
Darcy can dig
a tunnel to Monty.
She's a very fast digger.
The fastest on the team.
- Darcy?
- Oh, great idea, Jack.
Go and get her, please.
Right on it, Miss Jenny.
Darcy, we need your help.
