[upbeat music]

- Not long ago,

from the windy city of Chicago,

teams embarked on a journey of a lifetime,

a race around the world for $ million.

Go.

So far teams have traveled nearly , miles.

First to Iceland, onto Norway, Sweden,

Senegal, Africa, Germany,

and their current location, Hungry.

Tonight in a special episode of "The Amazing Race",

we'll look back at the first six legs through highlights

and never before seen footage.

- We can't go anywhere if we don't have the clue.

Wait, stop, stop.

Just wait one second.

- You are losing it.

- I've never lost a clue before.

I'm having nervous breakdown.

- You need to calm down, stop, stop.

Stop it, stop.

- Is it in your pocket?

- No Rebecca.

- I think I might have left it in the liquor store.

Did you see any paper here?

- More exciting moments on "The Amazing Race".

[Rebecca screaming]

["The Amazing Race" theme music]

- Do you know where the train station is?

- The race started in Chicago and chaos began immediately.

- Pace yourself.

- What you didn't see.

- You have the clue?

- I got our money.

- You have the clue?

- I think so.

- Engaged models, Freddie and Kendra

losing their very first clue.

- Someone lost their clue already.

- I got it.

I got their clue.

- Honey, where is it?

- No, I don't.

I didn't get a clue.

I never had it.

- There's the clue right there.

There's the clue.

- We're at the very first leg

and we can't find our clue.

So I guess we should check the arrival times

of all these flights and yeah.

- Is that yours?

Wait, you don't have one.

You lost yours?

- I got it. - You got it?

- I got it.

- Oh my God, thank you.

- Its I got it only because it's you.

Only because it's you.

- Meanwhile, father daughter team Gus and Hera

weren't as easily impressed by Jonathan.

- The first team we gotta be gunning for is yellow shirt.

He has a pain in the ass.

Gus proposed an early Alliance with dating actors,

Hayden and Aaron, and best friends, Avi and Joe.

- If we can stay tight through the race,

we may be able to bump 'em off one at a time.

- Yeah.

- Teams landed neck and neck and Reykjavik, Iceland.

- Stay over there.

- What you didn't see was Bolos special ploy

to clear customs faster.

- Hey guys, my brother he's little bit slower

than the rest of them in the race

and we're trying to get ahead of everybody.

Can you go ahead?

Would that be okay?

- OK.

- Our technique was to him to act like a special person,

to try to get someone to feel sorry for us

and let us ahead of customs.

- I know three or four people that are friends of mine

that have cerebral palsy.

And they're one of the strongest people on this Earth.

- Thank you.

You get around the corner and stop.

- This is for a million dollars.

- Bolo, pretending he was mentally challenged

and cutting in front of us.

I just believe in karma.

It's gonna come back and bite you in the butt.

- Teams started the mile drive

to Europe's largest glacier.

♪ New York Jews and Iceland.

- But getting out of town was difficult for some.

- Do you know the horn.

Horn, horn, horn exit is?

- Something horn. - Thank you.

- It was very helpful.

- Pardon me?

One is which way? - Schwensinsauce.

- A big waterfall. - Which waterfall?

- No, we will show you. - We'll show you.

Okay, yeah, I think we got it.

Thank you very much.

I think they're all ripped.

- Yeah, I do too.

Highway one.

Is this guy, they're all ripped.

Highway one is this way? - Yes, yes.

- Thank you.

- The whole town is blitzed.

- Former lovers, Adam and Rebecca clashed over sunglasses.

- k*lling me with those stupid things.

- Rebecca, you know what they're called, sunglasses.

- Is it sunny?

I don't think so.

It's extremely foggy.

- Rebecca.

- Sunglasses are not conducive for fog.

- Rebecca, I'm gonna put you in your bag

and I'm gonna just close the trunk.

- While Jonathan and Victoria simply clashed.

- There's no team here.

There's nothing.

- Shut up, John.

I can't take your whining.

- My whining is your incompetency.

- That's where that little road was.

- Come on.

- See, see, see this right now.

- I don't know.

I'm not reading the map.

- Lori and Bolo, Hayden and Aaron,

and Lena and Kristy took an early lead at the glacier.

- Let's go baby.

- At the campsite, teams picked tents for the night.

- So what are we doing?

- We're camping.

- We're staying here tonight.

That's what they got the tents for.

- Yeah, no we're not.

Yeah, no we're not.

- But I keep telling her we're camping.

She doesn't believe me.

- I mean, I can't believe that the weather conditions

get that bad.

Dude, we're up in the middle of nowhere,

but I heard a rumor once

that if you get in your sleeping bag with no clothes on,

it keeps you warm.

- Okay, so I guess sleeping naked together.

- What are you gonna do?

Come on.

- Married professional wrestlers, Lori and Bolo

entertained the group.

- The pro wrestlers are the alpha team of this race.

She is stronger than any man.

They scare me.

- Lori gave Rebecca a personal lesson in wrestling .

- Adam, you paying attention?

- I better stop yelling at her so much.

Or else I'm going to have a broken arm when I go home.

- You're down, stay there.

- Good morning.

- By dawn some teams adjusted to the rigors of the race.

- That'll wake you up.

- Others, not so much.

- And we were too cold to even get naked and cuddle.

- I was so cold my implants are frozen, God.

- Teams faced their first detour of the race,

their choice climb imposing wall of ice.

- Go girl, come on, come on.

- Or find a buoy hidden among hundreds of icebergs.

- I need you looking for ice buoys

so just look for some orange buoys.

- Okay.

- Meredith and Maria hit the skids on the ice wall.

- You're doing great.

Pick at degrees.

- While Avi and Joe hit bad luck on the boats.

- Where the hell is this thing.

- Man, this bites.

- Hayden and Aaron checked into the pit stop first.

You're team number one.

- Yeah. All right, baby.

You wanna pause?

- I don't, I want to go in.

Maybe there's something we're missing.

- Go try it.

We tried it.

Come on. - It may be there.

- It ain't.

- Avi and Joe question their Alliance with Gus and Hera.

- I don't trust this guy a hundred percent.

Let's go take a look around.

- And were shocked to find out

they were the last to arrive.

Sorry to tell you,

you've both being eliminated from the race.

- I really didn't think we were gonna come in last.

I have to admit that.

The saddest part about today is that our alliance

fell apart because we lost somebody.

- The amazing race is an experience

that everybody, at least on some level

needs to have in life.

You need to step back and take perspective

on what's important and cherish each second

that's given to you.

- In leg two teams flew

more than miles to Oslo, Norway.

- Looks good, baby.

- Freaking stick shift.

- Do you want me to do this? No.

- No, I know how.

- Mary, I can't freaking drive this car.

I just stalled it again.

- Honey, can you do it?

Can you try to do this please?

Thank you.

- Meredith and Maria held the rest of the teams up,

but what you didn't see

is the help they got

from long distance daters Kris and John.

- Okay, what's going on up there.

- I stalled again.

- What the is going on?

- Okay, I got it, I got it.

Stay John, stay in in the car.

- I'm so sorry. - It's okay.

It's okay. It's okay.

I'm just gonna get you outta the parking lot

so everybody else can get out okay.

- I'm blocking everybody in.

- You're fine, you're fine.

I'm gonna pull you up over here though.

- No, now they're going.

- There we go all right.

At least we're moving now.

- All right, which way baby?

- Straight, just go, keep going straight.

- We haven't spent a lot of time with Kris and Don

on this race.

- But they're very nice people.

- And the fact that they just did that

and they like tried to help us.

And that was like really nice of them.

- At the roadblock, Adam faced his fears.

- We need to decide. - I understand that.

- By zipping down feet in the dark.

- Mom, I love you!

- You did so good baby.

I'm so proud of you.

- Teams ventured onto a traditional Viking village,

Jonathan arrived with a bang.

- Ow!

- And lectured Victoria on their teamwork.

- I knew that the teams were not smart enough

to find this.

She had no confidence in me, but I knew.

- I'm so proud of you guys.

- And this game teaches you about yourself.

I cannot believe, you owe me an apology.

I am sorry.

- You owe me a big apology.

- I'm really sorry.

- You need to look inside yourself

and, and, - I'm sorry!

- and you need to look inside yourself

and do something different.

- We actually like Victoria,

but John is pretty mean to her.

So we don't really like him.

He's just really aggressive and harsh and very,

I don't know, just out there.

- Yeah, I've never seen anything like it.

- The way to play this game is to really slow down,

into slow motion and just be the game.

I am so proud of myself.

To challenge down to the core

of what you don't like about yourself.

I'm just amazed.

I keep getting proud of myself.

I came on this race to test myself,

to test how good I think I am

versus how good I am.

It's just the best feeling in the world.

You know what?

Why come on?

Don't doubt yourself.

- All right, can you wash your shirt?

You really stink.

- Sunrise at the Viking village

found Lena and Kristy bugged by their sleeping arrangements.

- Oh my God, there's a bug.

- There were bugs.

There was a bug issue.

- There was a huge spider.

And there were spiders.

I didn't tell Kristy,

because I didn't want her to get flipped out.

- There were spiders in the bed?

- Yeah.

Oh my gosh. - Oh my gosh.

- That's why I didn't wanna sleep by the wall.

- You cheater.

There were spiders?

- Just a few on like towards the wall.

So I sprayed the bed with bug repellent.

- I didn't know that.

- So yeah.

- As teams prepared to race traditional Viking boats,

once again, sunglasses became an issue

for Adam and Rebecca.

- Take off your glasses so you can see better.

- Shut up.

Guess what I lost?

- Your sunglasses?

- I took 'em off, because you told me

to take them off. - Breathe.

- And you know what?

They fell in the boat.

If you ever tell me to take glasses off again,

I'm never gonna talk to you for the rest of my life.

Do you understand me?

- Our relationship is so bad

and it's gonna be so over very soon I think,

because I can't do this.

I don't know which one I'm supposed to play with you.

Do I play mother?

Do I play girlfriend?

Do I play friend?

Do I play?

What do I play?

I don't know.

I don't know who am I with you?

- All of it.

All of them.

- I'm sort getting, I'm sort of getting tired of it though.

And I'm really, I really am.

I want a relationship with somebody

that takes care of me and makes me feel good.

And doesn't make me cry and yell at me, scream at me.

And because I tell him to take his sunglasses off.

- You're making me look like biggest in the country.

- No, you did a good job of that by yourself.

Yeah.

- Start throwing.

- At the detour, some teams chose to play

a series of Viking games.

- Damn it.

- Honey, calm down.

- Take your time, you're doing great.

- Leave me alone please. - Okay.

- I'm really pissed.

I'm really pissed.

- While others took a crash course in roller skiing.

- Oh God, this is a big hill.

- Keep your balance.

- Oh, oh.

- Oh my gosh.

- Listen.

- This sucks.

- I look like an idiot.

- Whoa!

- Oh God.

- This is ridiculous.

- Honey, I'm so sorry.

Please find the humor in this.

Sweetie, I'm sorry.

- Adam and Rebecca headed for the pit stop.

- This isn't ours.

This is not your car.

- But realize their car wasn't there.

- Where's the car? - Where's the car?

- This is not our car.

- You've gotta be kidding me.

- This is ours.

No, this isn't ours either.

- Let's go.

- This one? - Yes.

- This is not your car.

- We've gotta go back.

- No we don't.

- Yes, we have to.

We can't pick up their stuff, it's stealing.

- There's our car.

You took my car.

- Okay, go, go, go, quickly.

- Go, go.

- In leg two in Norway, Lena and Kristy

couldn't wait to get to the pit stop.

- First and foremost, we need to get our makeup.

- Why?

- I'm not gonna have nude lips when I see Phil.

- We're putting li beyond because Phil

is a true, true Charlie and a class act.

- Kris and John were the first to arrive.

You are team number one.

And Meredith and Maria checked in last.

- Hi. - Hi.

- I'm sorry to tell you.

You're both being eliminated from the race.

- Thank you Phil. - Thanks Phil.

- That's okay.

- The third leg of the race

had the nine remaining teams

travel miles to Stockholm, Sweden.

What you didn't see is a starving Rebecca flirting for food.

- I was wondering if you wouldn't mind buying me a sandwich.

- Are you so hungry? - I am so hungry.

- All right, come on.

- Thank you so much.

- Rebecca, Rebecca.

- Can I get him a piece of pizza?

- Pizza?

- Is that okay?

- For who?

- I'm not gonna pay for him.

- Just for me.

Okay, nevermind, nevermind.

I got a sandwich.

- You didn't get me a sandwich.

- I tried to get it.

- I heard you, but you haven't.

- He just wanted to buy me, because I was so nice.

- Because you're so pretty.

- Would you like a bite? - No.

- You don't want any?

You want some bread?

- No. - Just half of that bread?

- No, I don't.

I'm happy that you're hot

and everybody wants to buy you something.

- Once in Stockholm teams found the ice bar

where they had to slide a sh*t glass along the bar

to hit a target.

- Yes.

- Jonathan decided to take the frozen bull by its horns.

- All right. - Sorry, I felt so bad.

Oh my God.

The horns broke off.

The tail broke off.

Everything broke off.

I thought that I'd at least

be able to get the climb up there,

but I made an idiot outta myself.

- As teams waited for the next route marker to open,

money became an issue for Freddy and Kendra.

- We'll be sleeping in the grass.

- And I just think he's being cheap.

- Yes, I am being cheap.

- We have have plenty of money to get a hotel room.

- No we don't. - Yes we do.

- No we don't.

- You're electing to sleep in the grass.

- We don't have enough money.

- Yeah, we do have enough money.

- Yeah?

- Were are you gonna get it?

It's gonna rain money?

- We have the money in your bag

- And you and I are gonna go sit in a hotel room,

order room service?

- Order room service?

Why do you have to act that way?

- I'm just, I'm just. - Just stop.

- I'm showing you how absurd the idea is.

- Once the world's largest Ikea opened

teams had the detour choice to count more than items.

- This is gonna take forever.

- One, two.

- , .

- , , .

- Or build a desk from scratch.

- These are what you screw in.

- Where's all the pegs?

- That's it. That's it.

That's all you need.

- No, John! - Victoria, you look.

- Why don't you put this in?

- I am, it's already done.

I'm waiting for you to finish that.

- Don't yell.

- I taunted Jonathan a little bit.

Well, actually a lot.

I don't get this part.

The stuff that he was saying to Victoria, his partner

was just, he shouldn't have been saying.

- My God, you're an invalid today.

- I don't build furniture for a living, John.

- Kris and John sped through the building task.

- Pretty nice, huh?

Thank you very much.

All right, baby.

- And let's go up these stairs.

- While Jonathan and Victoria stunned the Swedish staff.

- Ah, you're gotta hurt me.

- Slow down, come here.

- Little pegs. - Come here.

- Little pegs.

- I'm trying to show you something.

- Little pegs, little pegs.

It's little pegs.

- Stop saying that. - It's little pegs.

- Stop with the pegs.

- I think our marriage is gonna be

much more compatible after this.

- Despite having difficulty with the task,

Don and Mary Jean built on their marital bond.

- You getting it in?

- Yeah.

- That's why I married you, because you're strong.

- I think this frigging thing is done.

- Yeah, we're all done.

- I love you. - Love you.

I love you too.

- Go on, Daddy, rip it, k*ll it.

- This is a rough one.

- At the roadblock most teams rolled through quickly.

- Yeah. - Hallelujah!

- Yes.

- Hayden and Aaron and Kris and John

were the first two teams at the pit stop.

You're team number one.

- All right.

- Kris and John, you are team number two.

- I got you.

- Pay dirt.

- As other teams found clues,

Lena and Kristy worked well into the night.

- It's okay, keep with it.

Stay strong.

- Without success.

Lena, you've been out here for eight hours plus.

Pushed over more than a hundred hay bales we figure.

Unfortunately this is an elimination leg

and you've both been eliminated from the race.

What made you carry on?

- I knew this was a big deal for her

and I didn't wanna be the one

to, you know, ruin it.

- The eight remaining teams prepared to leave Stockholm.

Once again, Freddie and Kendra argued over money.

- You're gonna make me sleep on the dirty floor,

but you're gonna pay for a cab ride?

It's ridiculous.

$ is ridiculous.

- It's over.

- Honey, you just don't make any sense.

You don't care about cleanliness and hygiene.

- This game is not about cleanliness and hygiene.

- Oh, but I can sleep outside or on some dirty floor.

That's disgusting filled with bugs and mites.

I'm sorry, you're not in charge of the money, period.

- Teams traveled , miles to Decar Senegal in Africa.

- I see it, I see it.

- Find out who wrote the enclosed poem "Fen Noir"

- And make your way to the author's final resting place.

- To retrieve your next clue.

- We gotta go a cemetery.

- Oh man, this is a gilopi.

- Some teams faced culture shock.

- This is kind of sketchy.

This is stressful.

I don't know where we're going.

He can be taking us off into the depths of the earth.

As far as I know.

- Adam and Rebecca had fun in their new surroundings.

- You know French?

[speaking in a foreign language]

- Yes.

- How many cemeteries are nearby near here?

- Yes.

- Oh God.

- How many?

- You know when he says yes to a question

that isn't a yes.

You're in trouble.

- Very important.

- What?

- We don't have time for gas.

- We're in a big hurry.

- Yeah. Yeah, no problem.

- What is he doing?

- Honey, I don't know.

Air in the tire or something.

This jelopi is getting ready to bust.

- You gotta be kidding me.

- We're so removed from our culture.

It's enlightening I think.

Most Americans have this idea that their culture

is the only one out there that is the elite.

- I need somebody that speaks to me in English.

- And that everyone else is just unfortunate.

- Oh, this is so gross.

- If I see ugly American behavior on the race,

it's really gonna bug me.

- $.

- $. - No negotiation.

- No, my friend. - I feel very unsafe.

I feel we're in the middle of ghetto Africa.

- The next day Jonathan embrace the locals.

- You're from Africa and me from America.

- Power.

Okay, who wants candy?

Oh yeah.

I started handing out candy to all the children.

They just have a great heart and they're innocent.

John wants children so bad

and I think he would be a great father.

- I would love to have a baby.

We've already picked out the names.

- The detour gave teams the choice

of stacking hundreds of fish or going fishing.

- Is it super heavy? - Yep.

- That's a smell that'll wake you up in the morning.

- Don's seasick.

- I never wanna go fishing again in my entire life.

- Go all the way out baby.

- At the roadblock one team member

had to harvest enough salt to fill a gallon basket.

Throw it, now snatch it up on your head, damn it.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

- The women excelled.

- You got it, babe. - That's really heavy.

- While Adam floundered.

- Come on, Adam.

You're a man, you got girls doing this.

You're stronger than that.

- Rebecca, I can't see, shut up.

I can't see. - I should have done this one.

- Sweetheart, it's k*lling me to watch you out there.

- This is the heaviest one.

- God, I knew it.

- I remember the day I fell in love with her

on the campus at Stanford University.

And it's the first time I think in my life

that I was ever really, truly, truly in love.

I didn't think I could love anybody anymore.

And I sure do now after this.

- Leaving the roadblock proved difficult for some.

- How many?

[speaking in a foreign language]

- What? - I don't understand him.

- Well, you're not getting the same amount

we got when we got here.

- Come all the way.

- There you go, sir.

- That's it, goodbye.

- That's all we got.

- That's it.

No, no, no, that's enough.

No get your hands off me.

Get your hands off me.

I was getting a little hot.

Do not give them no more money.

Get in the cab and leave.

I'll take it back, if you don't get away.

Keep your freaking hands off me.

And then you know, don't touch me.

You've got , that's all you're getting.

Get outta my face.

- Hayden and Aaron partied with their cab driver.

[singing in a foreign language]

- While Jonathan's stressed over the traffic.

- No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

The president on Senegal.

- He come here.

- You are kidding me? - No.

- The president of Senegal has blocked the road.

The president of Senegal is now in town.

- What's going on?

- President of Senegal is here today.

- In the middle of leg four of Decar Senegal,

a presidential motorcade slowed down the teams.

- The president of Senegal has blocked the road.

- Let's go, let's go.

- Let's go, he's good.

Let's go, Joe.

Get in, get in.

Teams had to take a ferry ride to the pit stop.

- This it? - Yes.

- It's literally seconds to make this ferry, .

Oh no, no. - Please.

- It's full. - Please.

- Let's go babe, now. - They're here.

I told you they're here.

- They're here already?

- Jonathan tried to thwart the competition.

- He really screwed me over.

We were here first and we tried to get on that boat

and then you wouldn't let us all by two people.

We would've won the game.

- Two? - Two.

- Them that's it.

You don't let them go.

They're stronger.

So they going run faster.

You can't have them be detained?

Say, come with me?

Say these are the wrong tickets

and take them out outside.

Make them miss the boat.

Can you do that for me?

- I can.

- Just make them miss the boat.

That's all I ask.

Okay.

- Adam confronted Rebecca about being a better teammate.

- When you're screaming at me

you're completely unsupportive of me.

It makes me feel like an idiot.

- Sorry, I know I should handle you

a little bit more like a child.

- I'm sick and tired of someone telling me

they're gonna whip my ass every minute.

Well, if you stop being wussy boy,

then maybe no one would say that.

- You think I'm faking it?

Do you think I'm faking it?

- I don't want to babysit my girlfriend anymore.

- Ultimately it was Don and Mary Jean

who checked into the pit stop last.

You're the last team to arrive,

but they were given a reprieve.

I'm happy to tell you, this is the first of several

non elimination legs.

And you are still in "The Amazing Race".

- Ah.

- The next morning teams faced an emotional route marker.

- For more than three centuries,

African men, women, and children

- Were imprisoned here at this house

before for being sent to the new world of slaves.

- Before they boarded the ships

that would take them from their homes forever.

- Slaves passed through an Archway known as

the door of no return.

- Before leaving this island you must honor them.

- The memory of those whose lies were uprooted

and sold into sl*very.

- You okay?

- Wait a minute, I can't.

[crying]

- I've been thinking this whole trip

about what it means to carry an American passport

and coming here and be having a reminder

of where part of my heritage came from

and what people had to go through

for me to be able to have that American passport.

I come from everything that America is

and part of America is the ugliness of sl*very.

- Okay, yes.

Okay.

- Again, Jonathan befriended a local for help.

- Okay, travel agent.

Do you know what that means?

Big, then we go there.

- Okay.

- In return, the local asked for a favor.

- This is my book for my movie.

- Oh, good, we read it over.

- My product.

- And what is your movie about?

- My movie talking about common value we have in us.

About, you know, this little girl here.

- Yes.

- It was to say, go and never come back.

- So it's about a dog, a dog?

- Kendra couldn't wait to leave Africa.

This city is wretched and disgusting

and they just keep breeding and breeding in this poverty.

I can't take it.

- And Kris and Jon couldn't get enough.

- Is it cold?

- We have a bunch of time to k*ll.

So we decided to come down the beach

and swim in the water for a little bit.

It's beautiful out here.

- This is cool. - Yeah, this is crazy.

- Wow.

- A lot of my studies have centered around Africa.

And so Africa holds a very special place in my heart.

I loved being able to see the children.

You know, there's a lot of spirit in their eyes.

- I'm learning so much more about Kris

spending all this time with her,

that we have been able to spend up to this point together.

She's amazing.

- At the airport Hayden caused a stir.

- We need four tickets for Freddy and Kendra

and Aaron and I.

- They shouldn't be allowed to do that.

We were in line next.

- You don't need to make a scene right here.

- Well, you shouldn't be cutting in line.

We we're waiting too.

- I'm not cutting.

- They're cutting in line.

- Passport, honey, passport, passport.

- Don't need to keep my mouth shut.

- Don't talk to me that way.

- I don't care.

- He's always going to be that way, get used to it.

- Just be quite mouth.

- Bolo shut your mouth.

- What are you gonna do about it?

- You're not fighting.

- What are you gonna do?

- You're not fighting.

- What are you gonna do?

- You're fighting. - Get your hands just.

- Lower the testosterone just a bit.

- Just because you're ' " and on steroids.

- I'm not on steroids.

- Goodbye Africa.

- Teams flew more than miles to Berlin, Germany.

Once there, they had to find the east side

of the Berlin wall for their next clue.

- Stay on they're ass.

- Damn, I hate them.

- You guys following us?

- Johnathan, you're just so smart.

We wanna do everything you do.

- You need to stop.

- We're doing all the work and you're following us.

- No, no, no.

You need to stop.

- We're doing work to Jonathan.

- Stop following me.

Then I'll go over there.

Go where you want and I will follow you.

- What?

- I'll follow you.

- What? - I'm gonna follow you.

- Okay. - Go.

- Okay. - Go, go, go.

Let's see. - Let's go.

- Let's see.

Hopefully we got rid of them.

- Don't even look at him.

- He's vomitous.

- I'm gonna go sit next to him

Do you understand?

Watch this.

- Adam, please don't start anything.

- I'm not starting.

- Sit, just sit down and behave.

- I'm not starting.

I'm going to sit next to him.

- No, you're not.

No, you're not,

Please Adam, I beg you not to do that.

You don't need to irritate people

anymore than they're already irritated.

- Their fault.

You let me enjoy myself with Jonathan

and deal with him. - Okay?

You deal with him.

Just your people skills.

- Yeah, don't. - Right.

- He hates you.

- Right? - Right, I don't give a.

- I know you don't care.

- Look at that.

The Berlin Wall.

We went from the depths of human degradation in Africa

to the same thing in Europe.

We, as humans, we are capable of so much horror.

- You know, I'd never, excuse me.

Seen a picture of the Berlin Wall.

I mean, no I have, but so long ago.

I think I was picturing something a little more magnificent

because really it's just a wall

with a bunch of graffiti on it.

Some huge, you know,

like the Great Wall of China or something.

I don't know how great that wall is.

- It's pretty remarkable. - It's big piece of history.

- At the detour teams chose between beer or brats.

In beer, teams searched a crowded bar

to find coasters with their names on them

and then traded two steins of beer for each coaster.

- Start searching the table, Hayden.

Aaron and Hayden. - Hayden.

- Aaron Hayden.

- Yeah, yeah.

Are you done?

- In brats, teams made one continuous rope

of five brat worst links.

Each seven inches in length.

- Say, I've gotta get this thing full.

- I'm pushing as hard as I can.

- Hey, we're doing pretty good with this.

- Okay, let's measure it.

- Okay, it's good.

- I'm going seven inches, seven inches.

And I thought, oh my God, seven inches is really big.

We're ready.

- I gotta get more beer.

Okay, hold on.

I don't think you're allowed to drink it, Daddy.

- It was pretty good beer.

All right, go, go.

- Geez, you're looking like a freaking lush.

Come on. - Good beer.

Give it here.

Can I have one? - No, no, let's go.

- I'm getting my pack.

Go ahead, I'm getting my pack.

- Go ahead. - No, no, come on.

- All right, I'm coming.

I'm coming, just one more.

- No. - Oh!

- Daddy, come on.

- Okay. - Frigging ridiculous.

- It was really good.

It was low alcohol beer.

So it wasn't much.

And I was thirsty and it was really good.

- How do you know it was low alcohol?

- Because I could taste it.

They named a beer after me in Gaithersburg.

- Oh, so you're constantly.

- I went through six months of doing the taste test for it.

And I could taste, it was three point beer.

It was % beer, which wasn't very much.

It was very flavorful though.

- The roadblock put teams into a soapbox Derby.

- Oh, neck and neck.

Go Hera, go Hera, go.

- Mary Jane couldn't catch a break.

- Let's go, let's go.

Thank you so much for your help.

I appreciate it.

Come on Victoria.

- It was a foot race to the finish

for the first and second place teams.

- We can outrun those two.

- All right, baby.

- But Victoria stopped to pick up Jonathan's backpack.

- Leave it here.

- No, you gotta take it!

Jon!

- Come on honey, run.

[Victoria crying]

Jon! Jon!

- Give me your pack.

Outrun her.

[Victoria screaming]

- Fred and Kendra, you're team number one.

- Yes!

- Why would you pick it up you idiot?

[Victoria crying]

- How could stop and pick up my bag?

How could you do it?

How could you do that!

- John, stop it. [Victoria crying]

- Jonathan and Victoria, you're team number two.

- Thank you.

- Why couldn't you just carry yourself?

- I threw it for a reason.

You didn't have to stop and pick it up.

- It wasn't gonna be there when you got back.

You know what, that's my bag

and I should have been able to do that.

- Victoria.

Jonathan, I think you probably should go into to Victoria.

- Why did you pick up my bag, Victoria?

- I don't have anything to say to you.

- This is a race.

This isn't about compassion.

- I was tired.

I was exhausted and my partner was not on my side.

- At the end of the fifth leg in Berlin,

it was Don and Mary Jean who arrived last.

I'm sorry to tell you,

you've both being eliminated from the race.

- Thank you for having us.

If I could wish for any man

to have the kind of relationship

I've got with her, you'd be blessed.

She is absolutely amazing.

- The remaining seven teams made their way

to the Olympic stadium, home of the summer games.

- Right here. Stop.

Six o'clock, so we have two and a half hours.

- Yeah, we should do some research.

Wanna go somewhere where I can actually be productive,

instead of sitting here on the cold cement.

- Do you not understand that there is nothing open?

- You don't know.

- You're acting foolish.

Now, stop it now.

- No, you're acting foolish.

- Lower your voice and calm down.

There is no need to act this way.

- You need to calm down, Fred.

I'm not gonna take this.

You're not being productive.

You're giving up.

- At daybreak teams perform the roadblock.

- I'm ready. - Woo.

- I'm ready, ready. - Me.

- It's an all girl thing. - Girl Power.

- Where one person sh*t more than feet in the air.

- You're a super hero.

- Wow.

- I'm afraid of heights.

I wouldn't even go on a roller coaster.

- Do it, release.

She looked like a fish

when a fish gets caught, flinging around.

- Yeah. - Oh my gosh.

I'm so proud of myself right now.

I knew all girls were doing it

and I'm never gonna back down with another girl.

- Wonder twin powers activate.

- Feel like a science experiment.

- Did you wimp out on this Bolo?

- I wimped out on this.

I just don't wanna do anything.

This is scary.

- Rebecca, if anything should happen,

can I have the rest of your power bars in your bag?

- Hey do you have a living will Rebecca?

- Everyone, suck it.

That was awesome.

- Fly to Budapest, Hungry.

- The race continued miles to Budapest, Hungry.

- Look for a flag.

- There's Gus and Hera right there.

- Oh damn, these are small.

- Once there, teams had to drive notoriously unreliable,

local cars known as Travants.

- This is gonna be a lot of breakdowns on this one.

- This is like a clown car.

- Holy cow.

This is hilarious.

- Good Lord.

This ain't a lot of car.

Here we go.

We're cooking now.

- Do you see anywhere to put gas in it?

- I don't know, I just popped the hood.

- What you didn't see is teams attempting

to fill their gas tanks?

- I smell like gas now.

Pull up on it, baby.

- Sweet. - That sucks.

- Just give me my board shorts.

- Okay, in the front pouch.

- It's the front.

- Baby.

- Oh great.

You sure we got it?

- Babe, come on. - Sorry, I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

- Watch what you're doing.

- Did you get your cap out from underneath?

- I didn't touch the cap.

I never had it.

- It's underneath the car.

You got a bad freaking mouth.

- You need to calm down.

You're yelling at me.

You need to chill out.

- Shut up.

You got a mouth on you that won't quit.

- You kept saying and asking me where the top was.

- Shut up, shut your mouth.

- My God, you need to freaking take

a stress pill or something.

- Stop.

- Basically, what's gonna happen

is the smart winds are gonna get there

and the dumb ones are gonna blow up on the side of the road.

The hobbits, Rebecca and Adam

they're in deep, deep, deep trouble.

- Ask him, I wanna check tires.

- Dude, are you freaking high?

- They didn't put any gas in their car.

- They didn't put anything together.

- Tires okay, I don't know.

- The tires, why don't we get a full car inspection?

Maybe check the oil in the water while we're at it.

- You know what?

- And the windshield wipers look like

they're having a little bit of trouble.

- You know what?

- Somebody can help us maybe, thanks.

- They're a mess.

And they don't know how to drive.

- I've never driven one.

What do you want from me?

- I know, it's cool.

And I have a feeling we're gonna be eliminated,

but it was very fun and I love you.

- How can I find first gear?

- I don't know.

The brakes on the floor, baby.

- Maybe worse.

Everybody out of my way.

♪ Meet the Flinstone's.

- I did the Flintstones thing to figure it out.

Is this the right way.

- Yeah.

- Honey, he doesn't speak English.

We can't explain to him the type of gas we need.

- This isn't going.

[speaking in a foreign language]

- Where, where are we meeting him?

Aaron? - Up at the exit.

- Sweetie, where are you gonna meet him?

He doesn't understand that.

- Please I swear to God.

- No. - I swear to God.

Please just leave me alone.

- Honey.

Where are we gonna meet him?

I have a right to be frustrated with you.

I'm sorry that I handled it the way that I did earlier.

You know what, if something goes wrong

and it's automat my fault.

- I can't hear you Aaron, what?

Aaron, you have not done anything right today.

I know back there we should wait.

Why are you moving?

Aaron, stop the car.

Do I have to get in it and try to stop it.

Stop.

Will you stop?

Will you stop?

Aaron? - What are you doing?

Stop the car, please.

Stop it.

Aaron.

Aaron.

What's it called?

Oh, that's a car.

- Thank you.

[speaking in a foreign language]

- I'm sorry. - I'm sorry, too.

- At the detour teams could catapult the watermelon

feet to smash a wooden target.

- Oh no, we're doing the other one.

- Or push a cannon and cannon balls up a hill.

- I'll pick it up.

You push, all right?

Are you pushing it all?

- I'm pushing.

Do not speak to me that way.

- Oh my God.

Stop John, I can't do this.

You gotta be the man right now and do the front.

- You be the woman and be quiet then.

- Next, teams took a train

back to the center of Budapest to find an internet cafe.

- Here we go, yes.

I didn't see anybody else on the train.

- Freddy and Kendra took the lead.

- There we go.

- And Lori and Bolo fell behind.

- Transmission slipping.

Oh God.

- Did it die on you?

Try and start it. - It ain't doing nothing.

It's gone, why would it quit?

- I dunno. - We're last now.

- There it is. - There it is.

Come on guys.

Hurry up. - Keep on trucking.

- Ready?

It's catch up time

- Teams entered the internet cafe for their next clue.

Lori and Bolo were nowhere in sight.

- Lori and Bolo are not gonna get here.

- Who could that be?

- Is there a train this evening to Budapest?

- No, tomorrow.

- Oh my God, this can't be happening.

I don't see how we're gonna catch up.

We're just gonna try our best

and do what we can do.

It's just a luck thing I guess today.

I have no idea.

- Will Lori and Bolo catch up?

The season continues on "The Amazing Race".

On the next episode of "The Amazing Race",

Rebecca rebuffs Adams advances.

- Go away.

I'm so over being romantic with you.

- While Victoria has had enough of Jonathan.

- Please go away.

You're making it worse.

- And Freddy has a tantrum.

When I find out, one of you, I'm gonna break in half.
