♪ Step by step yes, clue by clue ♪

♪ Let's think it through, ♪

♪ it's, it's Blue's Clues and you! ♪

Oh, hi! Hey, come on in.

We were just about to go outside and play.

Wait a minute...

Have you grown since the last time I saw you?

Wait, hold on,

uh huh, uh huh,

just as I thought.

You do, you look a little bit taller.

[Blue barks]

Coming, Blue!

What's up, Blue?

[barks]

Wait, a minute, have you grown too?

[barks]

Let's see. I've got my handy dandy measuring tape, a-ha.

Uh huh, just as I thought,

you have grown this much.

[barks]

Oh, right.

We were going to go outside and play.

Well, do you want to play ball?

[barks]

No?

Okay, what do you want to play?

♪ [musical barks] ♪

Oh, ok!

We'll play Blue's Clues

to figure out what Blue wants to play outside!

I love Blue's Clues.

♪ We are going to play Blue's Clues! ♪

Cause it's a really great game.

Ok, so we'll play Blue's Clues to figure out

what Blue wants to play outside today.

And remember, Blue's pawprint

will be on the clues.

Blue's Clues!

Oh, right.

We should probably take care of this pawprint.

Hmm, oh, I know,

how about a little bit of water.

This should do the trick.

[whistles and hums]

There!

Whoa!

Oh, you know what we need for Blue's Clues?

Our handy, dandy...

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook! Right.

Come on.

Blue's Clues! I'm so excited.

Side Table Drawer, have you grown?

I think I'm taller.

Well let's find out.

Wow!

You have grown!

You are this much taller!

I knew it!

Awesome!

Oh! Thanks.

You know, I'm really going to need your help today

figuring out what Blue wants to play outside.

Will you help me?

Great!

To play Blue's Clues, we got to find a...

[kids] Paw print!

Right a paw print.

Cause that's our first...

[kids] Clue!

Yeah, a clue!

Then we put it in our?

[kids] Notebook!

♪ Put it on our Notebook cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues! ♪

♪ We got to find another paw print, ♪

♪ that's the second clue. ♪

♪ Put it in our notebook ♪

♪ cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues! ♪

♪ We got to find the last paw print. ♪

♪ That's the third clue, ♪

♪ put it in our notebook cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues. ♪

You know what to do.

♪ Sit down in our Thinking Chair ♪

♪ And think, think, think ♪

♪ Cause when you use your mind, ♪

♪ And take a step at a time, ♪

♪ You can do anything ♪

♪ that you want to do! ♪

Ok, we are all ready to grow, I mean, to go.

Hm, which way did Blue grow?

I mean go!

[barks]

[kids] That way!

Oh, that way?

Okay thanks.

♪ We are looking for Blue's Clues! ♪

[kids] It's a clue!

Did you see a clue?

Yes!

Where?

Where's the clue?

[kids] There!

[gasps]

Hey!

I walked right by it!

The clue!

We just found our first clue.

And it is, dirt.

Oh!

Like soil for gardening.

Ah, full of nutrients!

Interesting.

So, our first clue is dirt!

Hey, now we need

our handy, dandy...

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook! Right.

Ok, so, dirt.

A big clump of dirt has some curvy lines at the top,

a straight line at the bottom,

some little specks,

and we have dirt!

So what could Blue want to play outside today with dirt?

You know, I think we need to find more clues.

[Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper] Squeeze or grow?

Grow?

Let's go see what's growing on?

Going on.

Silly.

Hey, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper.

Oh hi, Josh!

What's growing on?

We are trying to make orange juice!

Will you help us?

Of course!

You will help too right?

Great!

We were wondering, where does orange juice come from?

Well, oh,

where does orange juice come from?

Well it comes from oranges,

and oranges grow on...

[kids] Trees!

Trees!

Right and orange trees grow from?

[kids] Seeds!

Oh, seeds right!

Voila!

Orange trees grow from seeds!

Oh!

A seed is planted

and then an orange tree grows!

Look at that!

Hey but, how do we get orange juice?

[kids] Pick the orange!

Oh!

Pick the orange from the tree!

So, where does the juice come from?

[kids] Squeeze the orange!

[Josh] Squeeze the orange.

Right an orange is squeezed,

and the juice is poured in the cup!

Mmm...

Wow.

So that is where orange juice comes from.

But of course!

Ok so, let me get this straight,

orange juice comes from an orange seed,

and the seed is planted in the ground

and then the seed grows into a full-grown tree

with oranges growing on it,

and then an orange is picked

from the tree and the juice

is squeezed into a cup.

That's it!

Nice work Josh!

Hey! Good job!

And you know where we get our orange juice?

From the fridge!

[all laugh]

[barks]

Oh, that's Blue!

Bye Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper

Come on.

♪ We are looking for Blue's Clues! ♪

[kids] A clue!

Hmm? Oh! A clue!

Where's the clue?

[kids] There! Right there!

[kids laugh]

Hmm?

Where?

[kids] Right there!

Where?

[kids] Behind you.

I don't see anything.

Whoa!

You got me!

This watering can is our second clue,

and that means

we need our handy, dandy...

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook! Right.

Ok, so, a watering can,

a rectangle here,

then the spout,

and the sprinkler on the top

that has some holes,

and a handle here,

and here.

There, a watering can.

So we're trying to figure out

what Blue wants to play outside today,

and our first clue was?

Was uh...

[kids] Dirt!

Dirt, right.

How could I forget?

And now our second clue is a watering can.

So what could Blue want to do with dirt,

and a watering can.

Oh, maybe, maybe?

We should find one more clue.

Yeah.

♪ Mail time. Mail time, Mail time, Mail time ♪

♪ Mail time! ♪

The mail's here!

Let's grow!

I mean go.

♪ Here's the mail it never fails, ♪

♪ it makes me want to wag my tail, ♪

♪ when it comes, I want to wail, ♪

♪ Mail! ♪

Hi, Mailbox!

Have you grown since yesterday?

Maybe a little bit!

Bam, let's see.

Look at that!

And that's not all, I've got a letter for you!

That's pretty exciting don't you think?

Whoa, we still have to figure out

what Blue wants to play today.

Better find our last clue.

[Blue barks]

We're trying to figure out

where our fruits and vegetables grow.

Oh, okay well,

we are here to help.

So show us what you got!

[barks]

Can you show us?

Of course I can.

One second,

do you know where oranges grow?

[kids] Trees!

Ah ha.

[barks]

We were just talking about that with Mr. Salt

and Mrs. Pepper, remember?

Yeah!

Oranges grow on trees!

Okay, how about potatoes?

Yeah, where do potatoes grow?

Where do potatoes grow?

[kids] Underground!

Hello gopher.

[barks]

Potatoes grow underground.

And that's why they always have soil on them!

Underground?

Wow!

Okay, how about these?

Yeah, where do grapes grow?

Where do grapes grow?

[kids] On a vine!

Ah!

[barks]

On a vine. Good job!

Grapes grow on vines.

Yeah!

[barks]

♪ Potatoes grow down down in the ground, ♪

Where's the clue?

[kids] Behind you.

[laughs]

You know what we need?

Our handy, dandy...

[kids] Notebook!

Okay, seeds.

A curve on top and a curve below

with a line in the middle,

and another,

and a third.

There. Seeds.

Our third clue.

Whoa!

We have all three clues.

You know what it's time for?

Our?

[kids] Thinking chair!

Thinking chair! Come on!

[barks]

Okay, Blue. Now that we're in our thinking chair,

let's think.

So we're trying to figure out what Blue wants to play

outside today, and our clues are,

dirt,

a watering can,

and seeds.

Ooh, okay maybe Blue

wants to put the seeds and the dirt

in the watering can?

[kids] No!

Yep, maybe not.

Hm,

what can Blue do

with dirt, a watering can

and seeds?

Hm.

Oh, well maybe she could

put the seeds in the dirt

and water them.

And then she can?

[kids] Plant a garden!

Plant a garden!

Yes!

That's it!

Blue wants to plant the seeds in the dirt,

and water them with the watering can.

That will make her garden grow.

We just figured out Blue's clues!

Hey, Blue!

I'm going to take our seeds and our watering can

and we'll go outside and plant a garden!

[barks]

Come on.

♪ now that I've got my watering can! ♪

[barks]

Oh, Blue dug a hole in the dirt.

Nice job, Blue!

And here's a seed.

And your watering can.

Now, if we give our little seed plenty of water

and sunshine,

it will grow up to be a big

beautiful sunflower.

But that's not till later.

[barks]

Oh. Okay, Blue. Let's plant some more!

Both: Any orange trees growing?

- Hi! Look it's Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper.

Aww and the twins, how they've grown,

and our Felt Friends are here!

Fred and Felicia!

Oh look!

Sunflowers grow in the ground!

Right.

Wow, what a day!

Hold on,

did you grow too?

Let me see here...

Just as I thought. You did grow!
