I'm Hubba Hubba.

Talking to you from Hoobland.

And I'm about to send four

of my favorite

Hoobs down to Earth

to find out all about you

for my great Hoobepedia.

Here they come!

(whimsical music)

♪ Iver Groove and Tula ♪

♪ We're Hoobs ♪

♪ And they're ready to go ♪

♪ Now the wheels are turning ♪

♪ We can all get learning all

the things we want to know ♪

- Yay!

♪ And Roma's

somewhere far away ♪

♪ The Motorettes are singing ♪

♪ We keep the engine spinning ♪

♪ Hoob Hoob hooray ♪

(upbeat music)

♪ The Hoobmobile is

coming your way ♪

- Oh, here we come!

(Groove laughs)

- Way!

- Oh!

♪ The Hoobs are here

so what do you say ♪

♪ Hoobs ♪

(upbeat whistling)

(Iver and Tula laugh)

- My go.

Did it.

- My go, my go, my go.

- Oh yes, there you are.

(Tula laughs)

- Ready?

(Tula and Iver laugh)

- Oh, hoobygalooby.

I don't like the look of

those big black clouds Tula.

- No, big black clouds

usually mean one thing.

Rain.

- Rain.

Oh, it's started

to spit already.

- I'm getting inside.

Quickly!

- Oh yeah!

(raindrops falling)

- Ah, hoobygroovy.

This round shiny

thing is so shiny

I can see my face in it.

Hello, you handsome Hoob you.

- Hooble doop Groove.

- Hooble doop Groove.

- Hooble doop you two.

I finished polishing

my collection

of round shiny things now so

I'm ready to play Hoobarama.

- Okay pass us the

Hoobarama Iver.

- I haven't got it.

You had it last.

- Did I?

No, sure I didn't.

- Where is it then?

- It must still be

on the roof garden.

- Well go and get it then Iver.

- No, you go and get it.

- No, you.

- Oh, look I'll get it.

Oh,

oh hang on a minute.

It's pouring with rain.

I'm not going out in

the rain for anything.

- It'll stop in a minute Groove.

It's that sort of on

and off kind of rain.

- Hooblygroobly,

these are beautiful.

What are they?

- My round shiny things.

- Put it round my neck.

- Oh, right it's stopped.

I'm off to get the Hoobarama.

- There.

You know I've seen

one of those before.

I am sure I have.

- Oh wait a minute.

What happens if it starts again

when I'm halfway across

the Hooby roof garden?

No, I'm not risking it.

- Here it is.

- Oh, a soldier.

I'm a Hooby soldier.

Left, right, left, right,

left, right, left, right--

- Now it says here that this

soldier is wearing a medal.

That's what they're

called, medals.

- Left, right,

left, right, left--

- The soldier got his medal

for doing a brave thing.

- Okay right, I'll

be brave then.

I'll do a brave thing.

I'll--

How can a Hoob feel brave?

♪ Hubba Hubba ♪

- There won't be any time

to play Hoobarama now.

- Hoob news, I nearly forgot.

- How can a Hoob feel brave?

What a hoobledoobledoop a

question for today's Hoob news.

Hoobs all over the

universe will want

to know what feeling brave

is all about I'm sure.

(Hubba Hubba laughs)

Oh Iver, nice medal.

What a brave little

Hoob you are.

- Oh thank you very

much Hubba Hubba.

- But you haven't done

a brave thing yet Iver.

Take it off please.

- Oh, oh all right.

- I'll email Roma straight away

and see what see can find

out about being brave.

- What should we do

first Hubba Hubba?

- Well I bet the tiddlypeeps

are often brave Iver.

Why not march

yourself off to them?

- Hoobatious idea, I'll go!

Tula, you can drive.

Watch this.

Left, right, left,

- And I'll go and

get the Hoobarama.

(raindrops falling)

No I won't.

- Hooble doop Iver.

- What's your name?

- I'm Hedy.

- Hedy.

- [Groove] Hedy.

- Would you like to

do a Hooby hello?

- Yes please.

Hooble doop hooble doop

- Hooble doop hooble doop

Woop woop woop!

- Woop woop woop!

- Oh Hedy what

happened to your knee?

- I was playing

in my back garden

and I fell over on the path.

- No, did it hurt?

- Well I did get a nasty cut

so it did hurt quite a lot.

Yes.

- Poor you.

I bet you were upset.

- Well it was very sore

but my mom said I've

been very brave.

- Brave?

- [Iver] Brave?

- [Tula] Brave!

- We've been trying to

find out all about that.

- Yeah

- Why did your mom

say you'd been brave?

- Well I suppose I

didn't get too upset.

- So you're brave when

you don't get upset?

- Kind of, but even though

it hurt a lot I didn't cry.

- Hoobygalooby,

this bravery thing

doesn't sound too difficult.

Thanks very much Hedy.

I think I understand now.

I'm going to go back

to the Hoobmobile

and see if I can earn my medal.

Hooble toodle doo!

- Hooble toodle doo!

(Iver laughs)

(upbeat music)

- Looks like Iver's

got the answer already.

- Yeah.

- So we can play

Hoobarama Groove.

- Yeah!

- Well off you go and get it.

The rain stopped.

- Yeah.

(melancholy guitar music)

But you know it

might start again.

Ah!

Iver you're back, good.

- What?

It's all sorted.

All we have to do is fall over

and then we'll get a

really brave feeling.

Everyone find a space.

- Oh, I suppose.

- Come on.

On the count of three

Hoobaboobas everyone fall.

Ready?

- One Hoobabooba, two

Hoobaboobas, three Hoobaboobas--

- Hang on if we fall over aren't

we going to hurt ourselves?

I mean, falling over is

something you do by accident.

- Yeah, I'm not gonna

hurt myself on purpose

however brave it makes me feel.

- Oh,

Hooby bother, you're right.

We can't test it out.

- Oh, there must be another

way a Hoob can feel brave.

- But how?

♪ How how how ♪

♪ How how how how how ♪

♪ How how ♪

- I don't know how.

I'm not getting

any ideas at all.

- Well why don't you go

and get the Hoobarama Iver?

And that'll give you

time to have an idea.

- Oh, oh okay Groove.

Yes, that's a very good idea.

Oh, it's raining again.

Groove I think I'm

much more likely

to have a good idea

if I stay in here.

♪ Hubba Hubba ♪

- Hubba

- Yeah.

- Showers with sunny

intervals is it today Hoobs?

- Oh, yes Hubba Hubba.

And we haven't found the

answer to the question yet.

- Well luckily I've

discovered a story

on Hoobnet all

about being brave.

See if it gives you any ideas.

(lasers powering up)

- [Woman] Edwin

the baby elephant

was looking forward to his

first day at elephant school.

- Yippee!

- Don't forget to

eat your apple.

- [Woman] Said his grandma.

- Make sure you raise your

trunk when you want to speak.

And if anyone bullies

you, tell the teacher.

- [Woman] Edwin nodded.

And hurried along to school.

When he got there he met a

g*ng of older bigger elephants.

- Look!

Here comes titch!

- [Woman] The biggest elephant

scooped Edwin's apple up.

And ate it with a loud crunch.

(Edwin wimpers)

In class the older

bigger elephants

sat behind him and

pulled his tail.

(Professor clears throat)

He couldn't remember a

thing in his memory test.

And when it was his

turn to peel a banana

his trunk twisted

itself into a knot.

(classmates laugh)

At playtime they bumped

into him on purpose

and stamped on his toes.

- [Iver] No!

- [Woman] Edwin wanted

to cry and run home.

Then he remembered what

his grandma had told him.

- If anyone bullies

you tell the teacher.

- [Woman] So that's what he did.

The teacher, Mrs. Gray,

listened to his story.

Then she said, "What a

brave baby elephant you are

"to come and tell me

about these bullies.

"I shall make sure

they stop being mean

"to you straight away!"

- [Iver] Yes.

- [Groove] Yeah.

- [Woman] The next morning

when Edwin went to school

the older bigger elephants

walked straight up to him.

- Hello Edwin.

Do you want to come and play?

- [Woman] And brave little

Edwin was never bullied again.

(lighthearted guitar music)

- There you go,

that's the answer.

- What do you mean Groove?

- Well now we know

how to be brave

we can take it in turns.

You can be mean to me.

Then I can be mean to Tula.

And she can be mean to you.

Then you can be mean to--

- Just a minute Groove.

Are you saying you want to

us to be mean to each other?

- Yeah that's right.

Then all we have to do is

tell someone about it and zap!

We feel brave.

Just like the baby

elephant in the story.

- But I don't like being mean.

- Nor do I, after

all we're friends.

- Oh, look come on.

Give it a try.

I'll go first.

I'll call you a rude name.

(Groove clears his throat)

Hello Tula,

you pink furry Hooby pink,

oh Hooby blow I can't

think of any rude names.

- Of course you can't.

Hoobs don't do

that sort of thing.

- Oh, I know.

I'll pull Iver's twizzle tuft.

- Hey, that'll hurt!

- Look I'll just pretend.

And then you can tell

Tula I've done it.

- Hmmm.

- Go on tell Tula.

- Oh,

Tula, Groove is pretending

to pull my twizzle tuft.

(Groove laughs)

- Well done Iver.

Are you feeling brave now?

- Not in the least.

- Oh.

- It'll never work Groove.

You see, being mean is

just not a Hooby thing.

(lighthearted accordion)

♪ We can't pretend

to be hurtful ♪

♪ Or pretend to be unkind ♪

♪ The chances are not

for a spiteful thought ♪

♪ To enter a Hooby mind ♪

♪ Hoobs like to think kindly ♪

♪ Of all things

great and small ♪

♪ We're eager and keen ♪

♪ But just cannot be mean ♪

♪ Because it's

not Hooby at all ♪

♪ Hoobs all love to play games ♪

♪ Every Hoob is

another Hoobs friend ♪

♪ And you're never

too rough with your

friend's twizzle tuft ♪

♪ Even when we're

playing pretend ♪

♪ From our first day

as a little Hooblet ♪

♪ We learn to love

kindness and grace ♪

♪ And spend all the

while promoting a smile ♪

♪ On every Hooby face ♪

(Hubba Hubba laughs)

♪ We can't pretend

to be hurtful ♪

♪ Or pretend to be unkind

the chances are not ♪

♪ For a spiteful thought

to enter a Hooby mind ♪

♪ Hoobs like to think kindly ♪

♪ Of all things

great and small ♪

♪ We're eager and keen

but just cannot be mean ♪

♪ Because it's

not Hooby at all ♪

♪ A Hoob must always

be searching ♪

♪ Solving the problems we set ♪

♪ And when we are stuck ♪

♪ We are always in luck ♪

♪ Cause Hubba can

look on Hoobnet ♪

♪ We really don't

have any choice ♪

♪ We'll never be nasty ♪

♪ The idea's too ghastly ♪

♪ We answer as if

we've one voice ♪

♪ We can't pretend

to be hurtful ♪

♪ Or pretend to be unkind ♪

- How are you doing Hoobs?

Feeling brave yet?

- No Hubba Hubba.

Not at all.

- Well not to worry.

I found these pictures

of peeps on Hoobnet.

Peeps being very brave indeed.

(lasers power up)

This is something that makes

the peeps feel

very brave indeed.

It's called mountain climbing.

You see, they walk

as far as they can

and then they climb

the rest of the way.

Hoobygalooby, look at that peep!

Goodness me, they're

climbing on ice.

That must be very brave indeed.

(Hubba Hubba laughs)

Look at that peep,

how terribly brave!

(Groove laughs)

- Right, all we

have to do is find

the nearest mountain and

climb to the very top.

- Yeah, hoobygroovy!

I've got some climbing stuff

in my clutter cupboard.

- Now where are the

nearest mountains?

(lighthearted guitar music)

Aha!

There it is,

hmmm!

- Ready!

- Hoobygalooby, the

nearest mountains

are two days drive away.

- Two days?

That's no good we wouldn't

make it in time for Hoob news.

- Which means we can't

test that idea out either.

- Oh, all dressed up

and nowhere to go.

- [Roma] Roma Roma Roma Roma

- It's Roma.

- Hooble doop Hoobs!

- Hooble doop Roma!

- Now, I hear you're trying

to find out about being brave.

- Oh yes, that's right Roma.

- Well Iver, I've been told

that peeps who climb mountains

are incredibly brave.

So I'm going to climb

this mountain behind me

to see if Hoobs get

the same feeling.

- Oh, I wanted to do that.

- And when I get back,

as I'll have been so brave

perhaps you could find me

a nice round shiny medal.

(Iver laughs)

- Of course we will Roma!

Good luck!

- Thank you Iver.

Now, off I go.

Roma Hoob the bravest

Hoob in the universe.

Boldly going where no Hoob has--

Ah!

- What is it Roma?

- A mouse!

I just saw a mouse!

I can't climb that mountain if

there are mice living there!

- What's wrong with mice Roma?

- Oh, sorry Hoobs but I've

got to get out of here.

- But what about

the moutain Roma?

- Oh I can't worry

about that now Groove!

This is Roma Hoob not feeling

in the slightest

bit brave at all.

Making a run for it.

Hooble toodle doo!

Ah!

Whoa!

- What was all that about?

I think mice are

nice, don't you?

- They don't scare me.

- Nor me, but it seems

that being scared

has something to do

with being brave.

- Yes.

But what?

♪ What what what ♪

♪ What ♪

- I don't know what.

But I gonna fetch that Hoobarama

once I've got the chance.

(raindrops falling)

Oh, on second thought maybe not.

- Look Groove, just forget

about the Hoobarama for today.

The question has absolutely

nothing to do with

the Hoobarama.

♪ Hubba Hubba ♪

- Well why don't you go back

and ask the tiddlypeeps again.

They must know some other

ways of feeling brave.

- Of course, I'll go.

Groove you can drive.

- Okay.

We're trying to find

out how to feel brave.

- Well I think my

friend is brave.

- Why's that?

- She's going to try to ride

her bike without stabilizers.

- Stabilizers!

Oh, what are they?

- They stop your bike

from falling over.

- Oh!

- Oh!

- I see!

- Stabilizers.

- Yeah.

- Oh that's

very clever isn't it?

Oh, you haven't got

any stabilizers.

- No, I've learned

to ride without them.

It was very scary.

- Oh now I am really confused.

I thought riding a bike made

you feel brave not scared.

- That's how you

feel brave Tula.

You've got to do something

that's a little bit scary.

- Oh right.

We thought it had something

to do with being scared.

But that doesn't mean you should

do dangerous things does it?

- No, just things that your

mom and dad say you can do.

- My mom said I was ready

to ride my bike

without stabilizers.

- And are you

feeling a bit scared?

- Yes, a bit.

- But you're still

going to have a go?

- I'm going to try.

Yes!

- Well you better

change bikes then.

- Good luck.

- Yeah.

- I'm sure you'll

be able to do it.

Good luck, that's

it, off you go!

(light hearted guitar music)

Yes!

You're doing it!

Hoob Hoob hooray!

You are so brave!

- Yeah well done!

- Yeah!

Oh, do you feel brave now?

- Yes, it was

scary but I did it.

(Tula laughs)

- Hoobygalooby, now I

know how we can be brave.

All we have to do is something

that we're a bit scared of.

I'm going to get back to the

Hoobmobile now and try it out.

Hooble toodle doo!

- Hooble toodle doo!

- Hooble toodle doo!

(upbeat piano music)

- Well hey, who

said this question

had nothing to do

with the Hoobarama?

- I did.

- Hmmm, well Iver

you were wrong.

It has everything to do with it.

In order to feel brave,

you have to do something

that you find scary.

- Ah, but the Hoobarama

isn't scary Groove.

- No but going up to fetch it

when it might rain on you

and make you wet is scary.

Well for a Hoob anyway.

Go on admit it.

You kept trying to send me up

there because you were scared.

- Well yes but you were

scared too, weren't you?

- Well a bit, maybe.

- We were all scared.

But now we're all

going to be brave.

- Yeah, come on.

- Oh.

- Oh yes, yes, yes.

- Oh,

oh,

ah!

Got it!

- Hoob Hoob Hooray!

- Quick let's get back

in before it rains again!

- Well it is time for Hoob news.

Come on!

- Hooray!

(lighthearted whistling)

- Hooble doop whoop to

all you Hoobs out there!

Welcome to Hoob news!

The news show for

Hoobs everywhere.

I'm Iver.

- I'm Tula.

- And I'm Groove.

- And today we have been

asking the question.

- How can a Hoob feel brave?

- [Groove] First we

asked some tiddlypeeps

what made them feel brave.

- [Iver] They said they feel

brave when they fall over.

- But we couldn't test that out

because we didn't want to

hurt ourselves on purpose.

Then we heard a story about

a brave baby elephant.

Who told a teacher

about the elephants

who were bullying him.

- But we couldn't

test that out either

because we didn't want

to be mean to each other.

- [Groove] Then we

saw some pictures

of brave peeps

climbing mountains.

- But we were a long

way from any mountains

so we couldn't test

that idea at all.

- [Tula] And Roma

couldn't test it

because she was too

scared of the mouse.

- And that's when we realized

that being brave had something

to do with first feeling scared.

So we went back to

the tiddlypeeps.

- [Groove] They

showed us that the way

to feel brave is to do

something difficult.

Even if it makes you

feel a little bit scared.

- [Tula] We were

all a bit scared of

going up onto the roof garden

to fetch the Hoobarama.

In case it rained on us.

- But we plucked up our courage

and went together

risking getting wet.

- So now we can wear

our medals with pride.

- You can indeed.

So it's thanks again

to Iver,

Tula, Groove and Roma

for giving Hoobs everywhere

a little peep into

the world of peeps.

And remember wherever you are,

have a nice day.
