- Hoobledoop Tiddlypeeps.

I'm Hubba-Hubba, talking

to you from Hoobland

and I'm about to send four

of my favorite Hoobs down

to Earth to find out all about

you for my great Hoobapedia.

Here they come!

(space-like beeping)

(ascending whistle)

(air whooshes)

♪ You know who the Hoobs are ♪

- Ivor!

- Groove!

- And Toola!

- [All] We're Hoobs!

♪ And they're ready to go ♪

♪ Now the wheels are turning ♪

♪ We can all get learning ♪

♪ All the things

we want to know ♪

♪ Hubba-Hubba's in Hoobland ♪

somewhere far away ♪

♪ The Motorettes are signing ♪

♪ We keep the engine spinning ♪

(upbeat electric guitar music)

♪ The Hoobmobile is

coming your way ♪

- Oh, here we come!

- (laughs) Woohay!

- Ah!

♪ The Hoobs are here

so what do you say ♪

♪ Hoobs ♪

(gentle guitar music)

- [Toola] (laughs) Hooby

dooby do it like, this.

- [Ivor] Like, oh

yes, this, yes.

- Hooby dooby do it like, that.

- [Ivor] Like, like that, yeah

- Hooby dooby do it like, this!

- Like what?

Like uh,

(laughing)

am I doing this right?

- Yes Ivor, you know

the rules of copyhoob.

- Hmm, remind me.

- If I say hooby dooby

do it, then you do it.

But if I leave out the hooby

dooby and just say, do it!

Then you don't do it.

It is so easy.

(indignant laugh)

So, hooby dooby

do it like, this!

- Oh (laughs).

- Now do it like this.

- Like, oh, there.

(squeals)

What, what, what?

- You did it, I caught you

out, I didn't say hobby dooby

but you still did it!

- Your turn.

- No, thank you Toola, no, no.

I think I'd better

start thinking up

a question for Hoob News.

- (sighs) And I was

just getting into it.

(hums)

(huffs) Groove!

Groove!

(bored groan)

- (laughs) Oh that is

perfect and that is perfect

and that is perfect,

(laughs) yeah.

- Groove, Groove, do you want

to play hooby dooby do it

with me?

- Hey?

- Hooby dooby do it like this.

(paws banging table)

- Dah excuse me, careful Toola!

That's part of my

new collection.

- Oh, sorry Groove.

- That's all right.

It's my collection of things

that are exactly the same.

So far, I've got ping pong

balls, exactly the same see?

I've got three mugs,

exactly the same.

And bananas--

- Not exactly the same.

- What?

- Well, the bananas are not

all exactly the same, are they?

- Yes they are, they're all

yellow, they're all bendy.

- No, no, no, look

closely Groove.

They all look quite different.

Look, see, that one's

got a long brown line.

Oh, and the one in

the middle's longer!

It's not the same,

quite, quite different.

- Oh, that is so annoying.

- Hmm, what's annoying?

- Bananas.

- (laughs) How can

bananas be annoying?

- Well I thought they

were exactly the same

but apparently they're not.

- Oh.

- The problem is this, Ivor.

How can bananas be part

of Groove's collection

of things that exactly the same?

- [Echoing Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!

- Toola, you've hit

the question, come on!

- (sighs) Ah, bananas.

- How can bananas be part

That's a really hooble

dooble dooper question

for today's Hoob News!

I must say, I'd love

to try a banana.

- We'll bring you a bunch

when we next come

home Hubba-Hubba.

- Ah, thank you Toola.

Now then, things that

are exactly the same.

(triumphant laugh)

Here are some pictures for

you to look at on Hoobnet,

and while you do,

I'll email Roma.

- Thanks Hubba-Hubba.

- Hmm, all that talk of bananas

has made me feel quite peckish.

(laughs)

(space-like beeping)

(Hawaiian music)

All these things are exactly

the same Hoobs, do you see?

Yes, all those

boats are the same.

Those trains.

All exactly the same.

(space-like beeping)

- Not a banana in sight.

- In fact, there

was no fruit at all.

- (pleasurable sigh) Bananas

smell so (chuckles) bananarey.

- Those things we saw were

exactly the same as each other.

But bananas aren't.

- Why?

- (chews) I don't know

why, but I do know

that this tastes really

bananarey (laughs).

- What makes things that

are exactly the same,

exactly the same.

(chews)

Groove?

(chews)

- What?

Oh, (laughs) no idea (swallows).

All I know is bananas are

the hooby grooviest fruit

that grows on the Peep planet.

- (gasps) That's it, the reason

why you can't get bananas

that are exactly the same,

is because they grow!

And things that grow,

are all different!

- Oh, right!

Like trees and plants and

vegetables and flowers.

Of course!

- [Echoing Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!

- How are you getting on, Hoobs?

We've answered the question

already Hubba-Hubba.

- Have we?

- Yes, bananas can't be

part of Groove's collection

of things that are

exactly the same.

- No, no, no, no, no, I'm

not giving up this easily.

- That's the spirit Groove!

- Yeah.

- Why don't you ask

- [All] Yes!

- Whoop, whoop, whoop.

(laughs)

- Oh Tiddlypeeps,

do you know how

to play copyhoob?

It's ever so easy.

If I say hooby dooby

do it like this,

then you have to

copy what I'm doing.

But, if I don't say hooby do

first, then you mustn't do it.

- I know, it's just

like Simon Says.

- Really?

Would you like to play?

- Yes!

- Yes!

(laughs)

- Okay, here goes.

Hooby dooby do it

like, this (laughs).

Hooby dooby do it like, this.

Now do it like this.

(squeals) caught you out, I

didn't say hooby dooby did I?

- Ah, but Toola, what

about the banana question?

- Yeah.

- What?

(gasps) Oh, I forgot!

(laughs) I'm meant to be

asking you if you know

how we can make some bananas

that are all exactly the same.

It's for one of

Groove's collections.

- We could copy one.

- (gasps) That's a

hoobily groobily idea!

But, how do you copy a banana?

- You just draw a

picture of it, like this.

(cheerful music)

- [Groove] Pom, pom,

pom (laughs) dancing.

- [Young Girl]

There three bananas.

- Groove will be so pleased!

- [Groove] Hooby groovy.

- Hooble toodle doo!

- [Tiddlypeeps]

Hooble toodle doo!

(merry orchestral music)

- They might look

exactly the same,

but do they taste

exactly the same?

- Here they are!

- Hmm, oh, well done Toola.

- There's only really

one way to find out.

(upbeat guitar music)

- Tada!

All exactly the same.

Now we can play copyhoob.

- No, they're not.

- Yes, they are!

- No they're not Toola,

this one's much smaller

than the others, you see, and

look there's a bigger one.

It's even fatter at one

end and, well that one,

look it's got darker

markings on it.

(chuckles) Well.

(sighs) Oh hoobybother.

- [Echoing Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!

(space-like beeping)

(chews)

- Ooh, hoobledoop Hoobs, the

sight of Groove and his banana

made me run for a

hoobnip (laughs).

- Not another banana Groove!

- (hums) It's

hoobalicious (laughs).

- So is this Groove (laughs).

- Now then, I found a hobble

dooble dooper story on Hoobnet

about another kind of copying.

See what you make of this.

(space-like beeping)

(regal accordion music)

- [Narrator] Tracy the

troll was the best artist

in Trollsylvania.

The walls of her cave were

covered in fantastic pictures.

(melodic humming)

Hundreds of trolls came every

day to see her drawings.

- Marvelous!

- Amazing!

- What talent!

- [Narrator] They cried as they

trooped through her bedroom

and through her sitting

room and into her kitchen.

- How I wish I had a

picture exactly like that

on the wall of my cave.

- [Narrator] But it's not

easy having a hundred trolls

wandering through

your home every day.

It made it impossible to work.

(trolls chattering)

"I've had enough of living

in an art gallery!",

said Tracy one morning.

(surprised mumbling)

So, she shut the cave door

and refused to let anyone in.

- [Ivor] Oh.

- [Narrator] "Let us in Tracy!",

shouted the crowds outside.

"No!", replied Tracy.

- Go away!

- [Narrator] But the

trolls wouldn't leave.

They started to chant.

- [All] We want to

see the drawings,

we want to see the drawings!

- [Narrator] Then

Tracy had an idea!

She got out a piece

of tracing paper,

she laid the paper over

one of her best drawings

and traced it with a pencil.

It came out exactly the same.

"Take this!", said Tracy to

the first troll in the queue.

- It's a copy of my drawing

for the wall of your own cave.

- [Narrator] Of

course, everyone wanted

one of Tracy's tracings and

she was very busy for a while.

But once everyone had

got what they wanted,

she closed the door

again and got on

with making the most

fantastic cave drawings

in Trollsylvania.

(space-like beeping)

- I've got some tracing

paper in my hoobybits box.

- I've got a pen in my hoobtube.

- And I've got a

banana to taste.

- (gasp) Don't you dare Groove!

We need that banana to trace.

Oh, all right.

(comical trumpet music)

(paper rustles)

- You do the tracing Toola and

Groove, you hold the banana.

- Hmm, okay.

(comical trumpet music)

(paper rustles)

- (exasperated huff) You are

not holding it still Groove!

- I am, it's just

too bumpy to trace.

- No it's not,

you're wobbling it.

- I'm not wobbling it,

I'm holding it like it,

(exasperated huff).

- Actually um, Toola,

I think groove's right,

you need a flat

surface for tracing.

- Oh, dear, now I've upset him.

- Oh, banana, you look so perf--

- Groove!

Hold that banana

right where it is!

(paper rustles)

(whimsical string music)

(gasp) Hold it for

me, please Ivor.

(paper rustles)

This is how we can

trace a banana!

Keep it still Groove!

- Yeah.

(whimsical string music)

- There!

(whimsical string music)

(paper rustles)

- Toola, you are a genius.

- Well, yes it was rather a

hoobily groobily idea wasn't it?

- (laughs) Now, all we have

to do, is lots more tracings

and well have hoobloads

of banana pictures

that all look exactly the same.

- Ah, yes, but it doesn't

look like a banana, does it?

I mean it's gray for

a start, and flat!

Bananas are never

flat, are they?

- Well I know, but if it's--

- No, no, no, no,

this is no good,

there's gotta be a better

way of copying a banana.

But what?

♪ What what whaaat ♪

♪ What ♪

- Well I've no idea what.

I've tried my best, someone

else will have to have a go!

- Roma, Roma, Roma!

- Oh, but Toola!

- Oh, look here's Roma.

Let's hope she's

found the answer.

- Hoobledoop Hoobs!

- [All] Hoobledoop Roma!

- Now, Hubba-Hubba said

you were trying to find out

about things that

are all the same.

- That's right!

- Well then, I've come

to the right place.

This is a factory

where Peeps make things

and everything they make

here, is exactly the same!

- Hooby galooby,

how do they do that?

- That's an excellent

question Groove.

- Oh, thanks.

- Luckily, I have the answer.

- [Groove] Good.

- Factories are full

of special machines,

which make these things.

- Machines?

- That's right Toola, you

press buttons and pull levels

and whoosh!

They all come out, one after

another, day after day,

year after year, and they

all look exactly the same.

- Do they have a banana-making

machine in that factory Roma?

- A banana-making machine?

(cackles)

What an idea!

Maybe it would look

like a giant banana,

all yellow and bendy.

- So, no banana-making machine?

- Lots of little bananas

sh**ting out of it (cackles),

marvelous!

- I'll take that as a no then.

- Oh, you do make me

laugh sometimes Groove.

(cackles)

What a sense of humor.

A banana-making machine.

(cackles)

This is Roma Hoob, imagining

a banana-making machine!

(cackles)

Hooble toodle doo!

(cackles)

- [All] Hooble toodle doo!

- It wasn't a joke,

I was serious.

(sigh) For once.

- Oh, come on now Groove,

Roma's obviously never seen

a banana-making

machine, that's all.

- (hums) Maybe we

could make one.

- Make one?

Ah, that would be

so hooby groovy.

We could have hoobloads of

bananas whenever we wanted them.

(Hawaiian music)

♪ We could eat

bananas all the time ♪

♪ If you like bananas

come with me ♪

♪ To the amazing

banana factory ♪

♪ I'll check the size ♪

♪ I'll check the bend ♪

♪ Which rather cleverly

protects the fruit ♪

♪ I might feel

are quite correct ♪

and were not in luck.

I don't think the

Peeps have such a thing

as a banana-making machine.

- Oh hoobybother!

That's it then, I'll never

be able to have bananas

in my collection of things

that are exactly the same.

Oh, I give up.

- Oh, never give up Groove!

I think a visit to the

Tiddlypeeps is in order.

Don't you?

- Absohoobalutely, I'll go!

- No Toola, I'll go.

(laughs)

- What's your name?

- I'm Tom.

- Well I hope you

You see I'm trying to find a

machine that can make bananas.

- I don't think

there's such a thing

as a banana-making

machine, Ivor.

- Then how can you make things

that are all exactly the same?

- I've made some things that

all look exactly the same.

Look!

- Oh they are all

exactly the same.

- How did you make these?

- I used a mold.

- What's that?

- One of these!

- Oh I see.

It's the same shape as

the things you're making.

So whatever you put into

it goes into that shape.

- And comes out exactly

the same, every time.

(cheerful guitar strumming)

- Hooby galooby!

Toola, Groove,

that's what we need,

some hoobydough and a mold.

- A mold.

- Yeah.

- Thank you so much Tom,

I better be getting back

to the Hoobmobile now

and start making bananas.

Hooble toodle doo!

- Hooble toodle doo.

(merry orchestral music)

- Do you know

bananas don't taste

exactly the same as each other?

- This one was nowhere near

as sweet as the other two.

- Oh, Groove!

- Oh, you've got some

squishy hoobydough!

Well done, Toola.

- Now all we need

is a banana mold.

If we haven't got a mold,

they won't all be

exactly the same!

- Wait a minute, wait a minute!

Why don't we use this as a mold?

We could fill it with

hoobydough, couldn't we?

- Um, how?

♪ Hooow how how how ♪

♪ How how how how how how ♪

♪ How how how how hooow ♪

(gentle flute music)

- Here's how.

Now all we have to do,

is peel back the flap,

and we've got a banana!

- (laughs) Groove,

you are so clever!

- I know, how hooby

groovy is that, hey?

- Now, we have to do

it over and over again.

- Then we'll get

hoobloads of bananas,

that are exactly the same.

- Right, but we'll

have to hurry,

it's nearly time for Hoob News.

(upbeat music)

♪ Copycat copycat

sitting on the doormat ♪

♪ Miaow miaow miaow ♪

♪ Do this do this ♪

♪ Do that do that ♪

♪ Jump up jump up ♪

♪ Lie flat lie flat ♪

- [Echoing Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!

- Oh I say Hoobs, bananas,

bananas everywhere.

- And not a banana

to eat Hubba-Hubba.

(laughs)

- Are you ready to

give me your news

for my great Hoobapedia?

- Yes, Hubba-Hubba.

- Then take it away!

(steady drum beats)

- Hoobledoop whoop to

all you Hoobs out there,

welcome to Hoob News, the news

show for Hoobs everywhere.

I'm Ivor.

- I'm Toola.

- And I'm Groove.

- And today we've been

asking the question,

how can bananas be part of

Groove's collection of things

that are exactly the same?

- [Groove] First, we saw

pictures of hoobloads of things

that were exactly the same.

- [Toola] But there

were no bananas.

- [Ivor] You see, bananas grow

and no two things that grow

are ever exactly the same.

- [Toola] Then some

Tiddlypeeps showed me

how I could make

copies of a banana

by drawing it lots of times.

- [Ivor] But all the drawings

looked slightly different.

- [Groove] But a story about

a troll gave us the idea

of tracing a banana.

They all look the same,

but they weren't yellow

and they were just too flat.

- [Ivor] Then Roma told

us all about factories.

Where they have

machines to make things

that all look exactly the same.

- [Groove] And we

imagined having

a banana-making

machine of our own.

♪ We could eat

bananas all the time ♪

♪ If you like bananas

come with me ♪

♪ To the amazing

banana factory ♪

- We asked the

Tiddlypeeps if they knew

where we could find a

banana-making machine.

- [Toola] They said

there was no such thing,

but they did show us how

we could make model bananas

out of hoobydough

by using a mold.

- And here they are!

Aren't the hooby groovy?

- And they're all

exactly the same.

Well done Hoobs.

- Thanks Hubba-Hubba.

- So it's thanks once again,

to Ivor, Toola, groove and Roma

for giving Hoobs

everywhere a peep

into the fascinating

world of Peeps.
