[upbeat pop music]
[children] ♪ They'’re two, they'’re four, they'’re six, they'’re eight ♪
♪ Shunting trucks and hauling freight ♪
♪ Red and green and brown and blue ♪
♪ They'’re the really useful crew ♪
♪ All with different roles to play ♪
♪ Round Tidmouth Sheds or far away ♪
♪ Down the hills and round the bends ♪
♪ Thomas and his friends
[steam hisses]
[birds chirping]
[Narrator] "Emily Saves the World"
It was a bright, sunny day
on the island of Sodor.
Duncan and Rheneas were boasting about
some of their great deliveries
when Emily arrived, pulling sand to Brendam Docks.
[Duncan]Hmm. Yes, well,
I have had somepretty exciting deliveries
in my day, but the most exciting
was probablya big elephant statue.
Really?Well, once Ihad to deliver
a great, big dinosaurskeleton!
Wow! An elephant anda dinosaur.
[toot toot toot]
And I'’m just delivering sand.
[Narrator] Gordon was picking up passengers at Maron Station
when Emily came by.
-[toot toot]-Hello, Gordon.
Have you ever hadany really exciting deliveries?
Well, um, I'’ve carried
an opera singeron my express,
and some actors,
and even the Queen!
Oh, my! The Queen?
That wouldbe exciting!
[toot toot toot]
[Narrator] At last, Emily arrived at Brendam Docks.
But she was starting to feel a little sorry for herself.
What'’s wrong, Emily?
Thomas, have you everdelivered anything exciting?
Oh, yes! Lots of times!
Once I delivered a jet engine.
It started up,and I went flying across Sodor
at supersonic speed!
Oh! I'’ve neverdeliveredanything exciting.
I bet you have, Emily.Think really hard.
[gasps] Well, there wasthat time I took Sodor United'’sfootball kit to the laundry!
[trains laughing]
Stinky laundryisn'’t exciting, Emily.
Not likea jet engine.
Stinky laundry! Stinky laundry!
[trains laughing]
[Narrator] Poor Emily.
She wished that she had something
really exciting to deliver,
instead of just sand.
The very next day,
Sir Topham Hatt sent Emily off
to collect a special.
Ohh. It'’s boundto be more sand.
[toot toot]
But it wasn'’t more sand.
Bust my buffers! Wow!
Emily had to take a giant model of the world
to the animal park!
This is the mostexciting deliveryI'’ve ever had!
I can'’t wait to showthe other engines!
[toot toot toot]
[Narrator] Emily chuffed up to the steamworks.
But she didn'’t see any other engines
to show the giant globe to.
Hello? Anyone here?
Victor? Kevin?
Where are allthe other engines?
[Narrator] Then Emily saw Gordon up ahead.
[toot toot]
But by the time she reached the station,
he'’d gone again.
Oh, no!
Emily wanted someone to see her exciting delivery,
so instead of going straight to the animal park...
-[toot toot] -she decided to keep looking
for other engines.
And then there was trouble.
[clank]
It'’s Thomas!
Ah, at last! [laughs]
[toot toot toot]
Hello, Thomas.
If you reallywant to seean exciting load,
look at this!
What do you think?
It'’s great, isn'’t it?
Um...what'’s great, Emily?
Can'’t you see a giant globeon my flatbed?
No....
there'’s nothing very excitingon your flatbed.
Oh, no! I must have lost it!
But how could it have come off?

I better find it again
or I'’ll never getanother exciting delivery!
[Narrator] Meanwhile, the giant globe
was going on its own little journey.
[gasps]
Huh? Hmm.
[Narrator] Emily was searching everywhere.
A great, big, giant globelike that can'’t just disappear!
[gasps] Oh, no!
[gulps]
[clang]
I can'’t believe Emilymade up that story
about having a giant globeto deliver.
Ha ha! I know, Eddie!
That was verysilly.
[Eddie]Excuse me, you two,
we might want tohurry it along a bit.
-Why?-Because there'’s a giant globe
heading right for us!
-[toot toot]-[Emily] Come back!
I can'’t imaginewhat'’s keeping Emily.
She should have been herewith that globe by now.
Where could she be?
[Narrator] The giant globe rolled
all the way to Brendam docks.
Clattering Columbus!
The world'’s headedstraight for us!
I'’ll stop it!
-I got it!-Come here, you!
[gasps] Oh, no!
[Narrator] The giant globe had rolled
right off the end of the docks!
Even Cranky couldn'’t reach it now.
How am I going to tellSir Topham Hatt?
-[foghorn blows]-Did somebody lose their ball?
[chuckles]
Captain'’s rescuedthe runaway globe!
[Narrator] Cranky fished the giant globe out of the sea
and put it back onto Emily'’s flatbed.

I'’m really sorry, sir.
I just wanted everyoneto see my exciting delivery.
