My bey!

Protect our bey!

-After him, alps, quick!

-Come on!

Bell ringer!

I'm fine, my bey.

I'm fine.

The holy book! I always carry it

on my chest...

and it saved me.

Thank God nothing happened to you.

Well...

I owe you my life, bell ringer.

Is my life even important...

next to yours?

What are you doing here?

Sir, Commander Uranos sent me.

Emir Bahattin's aide is here to

cooperate.

The Mongols are after a very

important chest

which contains Seljuk state secrets.

They suspect that Ertuğrul has that chest.

Understood.

So be it.

I must get that chest to protect

ourselves from the Mongols.

I must go all the way to Ertuğrul's tent.

You survive today to suffer every day,

Ertuğrul!

You survive today!

Abdur Rahman, hold on!

Hold on! We'll save you.

Put pressure on it!

Hold on, brother.

My bey!

My bey!

We've dealt with the infidel.

Should we tell Artuk Bey?

No time, Dumrul.

I'll patch him up.

Find out who those scum are.

As you order, my bey.

As you order. Come on, alps. For Allah!

Come on, in the name of Allah!

Come, quickly!

My father is still not here.

He was never this late.

We last saw him at the inn.

I would know if he was to visit

the traders or the people.

I thought he would come to the tribe.

But if there wasn't something important,

he'd be back in time.

Didn't he say anything to you?

He didn't, sister.

I too saw him last at the inn.

We'd know if something was up.

Hold on, brother!

Hold on!

Hold on! Let's just take this out...

and you'll be fine.

My bey,

we live for you.

I'm proud of you.

I need you alive, brother.

Come on now!

You've been through worse.

Allah willing, you'll be fine.

Oh, Healer!

Oh, Healer!

It's out.

Thank Allah.

In the name of Allah.

My brother...

my brave brother.

I won't be at peace...

until you're back on your feet.

Let's patch him up, Dumrul.

As you wish.

We checked the dead archer.

Obviously Dragos's man.

Thank you.

May I come in, Mother Hayme?

Come in, son.

Mother Hayme,

Ertuğrul Bey was att*cked in Söğüt.

What are you saying?

What?

Ertuğrul Bey is fine.

But Abdur Rahman Alp...

Spit it out!

What happened to Abdur Rahman Alp?

His condition is critical.

İlbilge, Sırma...

stay here. We can't rest now.

I need to be with our bey.

I'll come as well.

Ertuğrul Bey ordered you to stay and

head the tribe.

I'll go then.

Since these monsters att*cked our bey

in Söğüt,

they must be desperate.

Stay here so we won't worry about

home.

Protect my sisters.

Mother!

You're very lucky, Ertuğrul.

Very lucky.

The Mongols are after a very important

chest

containing Seljuk state secrets.

They suspect that Ertuğrul has it.

Without this news,

you would already be dead.

But from now on,

you'll curse every day you spend alive.

I'll be your most trusted man, Ertuğrul.

The pain you'll go through will be

unimaginable...

compared to what you did to me.

Lots of blood will be shed, Ertuğrul.

Lots of blood.

May I come in?

Come, Beybolat Bey.

Ertuğrul Bey, I came as soon as I heard.

Are you okay?

Thankfully, I'm fine.

How did this happen?

They ambushed us.

A sudden rain of arrows.

An arrow was just about to hit me...

but the bell ringer saved me.

Dragos's men.

Those scum!

Yesterday our father and today our bey.

Ertuğrul Bey, command me...

and let's destroy their world.

Thank you, Beybolat Bey.

Keep your rage alive.

But calm down for now.

Once Abdur Rahman is back up,

the rest is easy.

Only an angry wolf can k*ll...

a crazy jackal.

How did all this happen?

We were to talk about the wedding.

Everyone has their own troubles.

I say it for our unity, Selcan Hatun.

Do you know what you're saying?

The frontier bey was ambushed.

His closest alp is fighting death.

Is this the time for a wedding?

Don't t*rture yourself, Mother Hayme.

Easy to say.

What if Abdur Rahman dies?

Ertuğrul Bey is taking care of him

personally.

Don't you know?

He loves him like a brother.

I do. Of course, I know.

I remember how Abdur Rahman went

to the mountains to be an alp...

when he was just a child.

All this time.

Before this tent,

he stood against enemy's sword.

He fought the Mongols...

he was imprisoned, tortured...

He put his life on the line.

He k*lled enemies.

But...

he never complained once.

He never showed regret.

He never asked for praise.

Whatever we asked,

he did with all his heart.

He is a gift...

from the tribe of Suleyman Shah.

May Allah protect him.

May Allah save him.

Amen.

I'll go to Söğüt at dawn.

I'll see my son and Abdur Rahman.

Mother Hayme, I'd like to come

if you allow me.

Are you fine, brother?

You're okay, my bey...

I want nothing else.

I'm so proud of you, brother.

Abdur Rahman Alp.

How did they do this to you?

Thank you, bell ringer.

You took arrows to save us.

Why did you do this?

What else could I do?

If those traitors harmed you,

what would have happened to us?

You're the hope of us all.

If something happens to you,

what will happen to the people?

The priest is dead too.

What will I do now?

I'm all alone.

You're under our protection just like

everyone else, bell ringer.

Don't you worry.

What are we here for?

You do your job at the church

and the inn.

God bless you, my bey.

I can't thank you enough.

God bless you.

Bell ringer!

Bell ringer!

I owe you my life, bell ringer.

Dumrul.

I want maximum security at Söğüt

from now on.

Follow everyone.

Especially the bell ringer.

What he does for us is way too much

for a bell ringer.

He might be hiding something.

Tell Mergen to follow him too.

Don't let him see you.

As you order, my bey.

In the name of Allah.

Thank you.

Come, let's eat together.

Thank you, my bey.

As you thought, my bey.

Ertuğrul organized stealing the gold

with Dragos.

But Ertuğrul has the gold.

Ertuğrul is a smart man.

But there's always one smarter.

In the name of Allah.

Should we let the Mongols know?

No! Nobody must know of this.

Both the Mongols and the Sultan must think

that Dragos has the gold.

We'll take the gold from Ertuğrul.

We'll use it to become stronger.

Understood?

What is it, Yinal?

Did something happen to you?

My bey,

Subutay is here.

Subutay?

At this hour of the morning?

Let's hope for good news.

If Subutay came here...

You found another forest to

call home here.

Subutay, what are you doing here?

Why are you here?

Breakfast is ready.

Let's go to the tent.

We're under att*ck!

We're under att*ck!

We're under att*ck!

There's an att*ck.

Osman!

-Let's get swords.

-Run! To the tent.

We're under att*ck!

Mongols!

-Grandma, there's an att*ck!

-Mongols.

Time to fight. Get your swords!

Osman.

Mother!

What are you doing, you scum?

Alıncak.

You won't get away with this.

He who enters this tent forcefully...

will pay the price.

What do you want?

Your words carry authority.

You must be Ertuğrul's mother,

Hayme Hatun.

First, give your swords to my men.

I want to speak to all of you one by one.

I don't want to punish you for Ertuğrul's

doings.

How did you find us here you scum?

Long-tongued, short-minded woman.

We att*cked all your tribes.

Surrender. Otherwise I shall burn you

and this tent.

Take them!

Osman!

Grandmother!

-Mother!

-Mother!

All Turkish tribes were att*cked.

Except for yours.

The Kayi Tribe?

It was the first.

Alıncak will destroy everything.

He's here to k*ll everyone.

Are you mad?

My sisters are there.

If they are harmed...

They will be fine. Don't worry.

We remember loyalty,

just like we remember treachery.

Albastı!

You were to await news from me.

You were to let me know of the att*ck.

Everything changed after

the last developments.

And we heard nothing from you...

so Hülagü Khan himself

appointed Alıncak.

We're not here to wait...

we're here to make them pay with blood.

Well, it was a bad idea.

A very bad idea.

Everything was going so well.

It will all be ruined if Alıncak

doesn't stop.

Yinal, prepare the horses.

We'll go to the Kayi Tribe.

I'll go to the village.

If Mergen sends word, let me now.

Don't leave Abdur Rahman alone.

As you order.

May I come in, my bey?

Come, Bamsı.

My bey.

Where is Turgut?

It's done, my bey.

We brought the messenger too.

Turgut waits for us with the messenger.

Good.

Let's go there at once.

All right, my bey.

Traitors!

Tyrants! Traitors! Leave our village!

Mother!

Let me go!

Kids! Stop!

Mother!

Let our mother go, you scum!

Don't be scared, they can't do

anything to her.

They won't get away with this!

Let Mother Hayme go!

Let her go!

Now!

Everyone, listen to me.

I'm Commander Alıncak!

The Great Khan Hülagü sent me here.

If...

I see any movement...

or a head raised,

I'll crush it with my sword.

I'll k*ll you all,

fill your bodies with hay,

and have my soldiers crush you!

Commander Alıncak!

I'm Artuk Bey, Ertuğrul Bey's courtier.

Take me too if you're taking them.

Take that one too.

I have questions for you.

My bey!

What happened, Melikşah?

The alps on patrol sent word.

The Mongols att*cked the villages.

They have too many men.

Their commander is headed to our village.

You mean our village?

How is that possible?

Hafsa! My kids!

Those scum!

They act like rabid dogs.

I'll make them pay for this.

Let's go there at once, my bey.

Now is not the time, Bamsı.

They're after the chest.

My bey! What will we do then?

As soon as I have that chest,

nobody will be harmed, Bamsı.

If we go, we'll be trapped.

We'll stay out and fight from outside.

My bey! They're holding children.

Our very cause is at stake, Bamsı!

We can't think about children now.

I raised my children to die

for this cause.

They'll die there if need be!

We won't budge, no matter what...

to protect our cause!

Even a volcano won't burn us!

Even an avalanche won't bury us!

We'll do our duty!

You will all go to the village, Alps.

You won't let them shed blood.

And you, my bey?

Do what I tell you.

Once this storm is over,

I'll come like a storm myself,

and I know when to do that.

Tell that Mongol commander.

If he harms anyone,

he won't get what he wants.

Take Abdur Rahman too.

Tell my mother and Artuk Bey to

gather the beys and discuss.

Don't let the people be harmed.

-Go.

-As you order, my bey.

Why have you and your

dogs att*cked our tribe?

Don't you know that a tiger which

wears a bell will starve, woman?

I haven't brought music or laughter...

I have brought blood

and tears to your tribe.

That's what you deserve.

You got what you deserved.

What do you want from us?

I want to slaughter each

and every one of you...

I want to burn your tents

and destroy your village,

I want to watch as the smoke rising from

your burning bodies meets the sky spirits,

and I want to look on

as your blood seeps through

the earth to the spirits underground.

Is not that enough?

Now...

I am not a patient man, Hayme Hatun.

Where is Ertuğrul?

We don't know where Ertuğrul Bey is.

And if you want to k*ll us,

we'll die with our dignity intact.

You're brave enough

to want to die with dignity.

I can only promise

to give you that much.

I'll ask you again.

Where is Ertuğrul?

I don't know why you want my son...

but I know that you'll never get him.

We'd never tell you even if we did know.

It's only a matter of time before

my father, Gündoğdu, crushes your skull.

You'll get what you deserve soon enough.

-Don't do it.

-So, you're Gündoğdu's son, are you?

-Leave my brother alone!

-Süleyman!

Süleyman!

Bastard! You bastard!

Daughter! Daughter!

Daughter!

Enough!

Daughter!

Selcan Hatun...

There you are.

Your husband Gündoğdu,

will soon be in my hands.

My husband will take your eyes...

before you have

a chance to look on his face.

Enough! Enough!

You promised us our dignity.

I won't let you torment us.

If you're going to k*ll us, do it now!

k*ll us now!

Daughter!

-Daughter!

-I'm all right, Mother.

First of all...

I want to talk to you.

Sir, our messengers have brought

news from Söğüt, but...

The Mongols have att*cked

the Turkish tribes.

Damn it! Where did that come from?

It was sudden. It's chaos everywhere.

They swooped down like locusts.

Ertuğrul invited this trouble on himself.

Now he will suffer the consequences, sir.

Only Ertuğrul?

Do you think they won't come here?

The Mongols are unpredictable.

Tell the soldiers to be ready for battle.

Tighten security across the castle,

strengthen the walls.

Damn it, do whatever it takes!

-At once, sir.

-Wait.

Putting ourselves on a w*r footing won't

be enough. Things are no longer balanced.

-We need to come up with another plan.

-What kind of plan, sir?

If required, we can always

befriend our enemies, Uranos.

Even our enemies.

Artuk Bey,

given you sacrificed your eyes for him,

your loyalty to Ertuğrul is obvious.

If you don't answer my questions,

I'll cut out your tongue.

It's the only way you'll keep it.

Thankfully, the tongue which

forever says Allah's name,

will not shame me now.

Commander Alıncak, know this.

Ertuğrul Bey is already so close, you'll

soon feel his breath upon your neck.

Is that so? We'll see.

We'll see.

Commander Alıncak.

With your permission,

I would like to say something.

Speak, sky-eyed woman.

Who are you,

and what do you want to tell me?

I am Sırma.

İlbilge Hatun is my sister.

We are the sisters of Umurid Beybolat Bey.

My sister is to marry Ertuğrul Bey.

My, my, my!

So, Beybolat sends his sister

to Ertuğrul's bed

in order to conquer the tent from within!

There is a special place reserved

for the sisters of Beybolat the Loyal.

Jackals play with their

prey until it drops dead.

I warned you not to trust the Umurids!

Let go! Let go!

-Osman!

-Osman!

No!

Osman!

Osman!

Leave my brother alone!

No, release him!

Let him go!

Osman!

Osman, no!

-Don't!

-Osman!

Let him go! I said, let him go!

Release my grandson!

No!

-Osman! Osman.

-Don't!

My Osman.

Osman.

Osman!

Osman. Osman.

Osman. Osman!

Osman.

-Greetings.

-Greetings, Ertuğrul Bey.

What's going on?

I heard what happened.

Mongol scum burning everywhere.

The Holy Allah commands us to

take up arms against oppressors

and be merciful towards

those who are oppressed.

We cannot stand by and do nothing.

We are on our way to Söğüt.

We are at your service.

Our banner flying from Söğüt's minarets

and our call to prayers

are the symbols of our freedom.

Do whatever it takes to protect them.

Use your good judgement

to keep the people strong,

and your wisdom to maintain their spirits.

This land exists to test us, Ertuğrul Bey.

Allah has littered the road

to victory with many trials.

As you overcome these ordeals, you will

become stronger and more tolerant.

You are the protector of Allah's

oppressed servants.

Allah will not abandon you,

nor forsake you.

Allah willing.

Our hand is but flesh and bone.

When we trust in our own power

and squeeze that hand,

that hand becomes a fist.

Someone stronger can nevertheless b*at us.

If we trust in Allah's might and power...

when we squeeze our hand into a fist,

no army on earth would be

strong enough to stop us.

The events which took place immediately

before the Battle of the Trench

teach believers an important lesson.

The mounted warriors of the Meccan

pagan army screamed at the Muslims,

asking for a man to fight their champion.

Their champion was Amr ibn Abd al-Wud.

He was a famous horseman,

good with his sword.

Of course, nobody wanted to face him.

But Ali said, "Oh, messenger of Allah,

I will fight him."

But as it was Amr ibn Abd al-Wud

who he'd have to fight,

our Prophet told him to sit back down.

Amr challenged the Muslims again.

"Is no man among

you prepared to fight?

Where's the heaven you promise your dead?"

Ali wanted again to fight him.

Our Prophet reminded him once again

that it was Amr ibn Abd al-Wud.

Amr, seeing that nobody would face him,

became over-confident.

He started to insult

and swear at the Muslims.

Ali once again bravely stood up.

He said, "I'll fight him,

oh, Allah's Messenger!"

Our Prophet said "Oh, Ali,

he is Amr ibn Abd al-Wud."

Ali said he understood what he was about

to do and would fight him anyway.

Thus, our Prophet let

the Lion of Allah fight.

He helped him into his armor himself.

And he prayed as he put the sword

called Zulfiqar around his waist.

He removed his own turban

and wrapped it around Ali's head,

then raised his hands in prayer.

"Oh, Allah! Ubayde, my uncle's son,

was martyred in Badr.

my Uncle Hamza was martyred in Uhud.

I have only my cousin Ali left.

Protect him, help him.

Do not leave me here alone."

So, the fight began on the b*ttlefield

and everyone awaited the result.

Amr, being a seasoned warrior,

destroyed Ali's shield with a single blow.

His sword pierced the shield

and brushed Ali's forehead.

Ali jumped to the side as fast

as lightning. It was his turn.

He landed a heavy blow

on Amr's neck with Zulfiqar.

Suddenly screams broke out,

everything was in confusion.

Amr ibn Abd al-Wud, the famous pagan

warrior, lay in the dirt covered in blood,

with his head cut off.

Ali, Lion of God, screamed

"Allah is great!" so loudly

that it echoed around the b*ttlefield.

That scream was the reason

behind their victory that day.

Ertuğrul Bey...

Muslims are once more under att*ck.

The innocent and the oppressed

pray to Allah for you.

They pray for your safety and that

you will not yield before the cruel.

Ertuğrul Bey, vengeance

burns in your eyes.

When you seek to protect the innocent,

your sword is Allah's sword.

And this w*r is between God

and superstition.

The seeds of this cause of yours...

were planted during

the era of Muhammad.

May your advance ensure

no innocent is left unsaved...

and no enemy undefeated.

God willing.

We'll never give up,

I swear that on my sword.

It is my belief that this w*r will be won

by those brave Oghuz men...

who take the Qur'an as their guide,

and that the tyrants who have

att*cked us will be utterly defeated.

Allah willing, Ertuğrul Bey.

-Allah willing.

-Allah willing.

Thank you.

-My Osman! My son!

-Osman!

My Osman.

My Osman, my son!

-Mother!

-My Osman!

My lamb!

Osman. My Osman!

Let me see how Osman is!

With your blind eyes?

Don't bother yourself, Artuk Bey.

I'll take care of Osman

when the time comes.

Get him out of my sight.

I'll deal with him separately.

Don't take him. No, leave him!

-Leave him alone!

-Osman!

Don't take him!

Osman!

Enough! He is but a child!

-How can you be so cruel?

-Sister, that's enough.

I'll make you pay for what you've done!

Osman! My brother will be avenged!

He'll be avenged!

-Gündüz.

-Gündüz!

We'll send your head

to that brute, Hulagu.

I'm going to make you pay!

How dare you even speak the name

Hulagu Khan, the khan of khans?

-Leave my brother alone!

-No!

Hold him! Give me the bow!

The son of a bey deserves such a death.

No!

Hayme Hatun, Artuk Bey,

if your son is so brave...

let him come out of hiding so that

we might see his courage for ourselves.

No! Don't do it!

-Stop!

-Let my brother go!

Otherwise, I k*ll this one!

-No, stop!

-Gündüz!

-Stop!

-Brother!

My Gündüz!

Ertuğrul will have to

come to me eventually,

and when he does I'll k*ll him!

Brother!

Me, the man who brought the Persians

and the Chinese to their knees,

do you think I would be defeated by a man

who runs away with a couple of his alps?

-Don't! Don't!

-Brother!

Tell me!

Enough, stop!

I'm begging you!

I don't know where Ertuğrul is.

He'll hunt you down, he'll find you!

His wrath will be your nightmare!

Is that so?

Show us your honor if you have any!

Dog! You Mongol dog! Let my son go!

Is that so?

It's useless trying to talk to you!

I shall k*ll Ertuğrul's pup.

-Don't!

-Brother!

I'll put your tribe to the sword,

no one will be spared,

not even the women and children,

nothing will be left standing.

Let my brother go!

Commander Alıncak!

Beybolat. Welcome.

Your master is here, dog.

Why not lick his hand, Beybolat?

Stop and listen to what

I have to say first.

There's something

important I must tell you.

-Gündüz!

-My son!

My child!

If any one of you forgets their place...

I'll forget my promise to

Hayme Hatun...

and give you a most dishonorable death.

Come with me, Beybolat.

Don't touch him! Don't take him away!

Don't take him away!

Let him go! Don't take him!

We'll move down to this

area with our army.

That way we'll pull half of Hulagu Khan's

army to the north of Tabriz.

After that, it's up to you.

We'll focus on this area

and the Turkish tribes which populate it.

We'll trap any remaining

Mongols still in Anatolia.

Hulagu Khan's army will be divided in two.

No reinforcements will be

forthcoming from the north,

and those in Anatolia

will be unable to go north.

I wish you every success in defeating

the Mongols which have been attacking you.

Thank you.

I will gladly tell Berke Khan that

the deal is done. Excuse me.

Please.

Thank God our task is done.

Now for the other.

What are we going to do about

the Mongolians attacking the tribes?

They want the chest and the vitally

important information within.

Everything rests on that chest, Turgut.

What are you going to do, my Bey?

Stop where you are!

Turgut!

Bamsı! Stop.

Mother.

My Osman.

Where have they taken him?

They b*rned everything.

Those monsters will k*ll my grandson.

Mother Hayme, don't upset yourself so.

My brother is here, he'll do something.

You think your Mongol dog of a brother

will do something, İlbilge Hatun?

I always knew what you were,

now everyone else knows it too.

You'll come to regret

saying that, Selcan Hatun.

My brother is in there

talking on our behalf.

Gündüz Alp would be dead now

if it wasn't for him.

-Sure.

-Enough! Enough!

Enough!

Our tribe is under att*ck, my grandsons

are gone, and still you fight!

Did your brother know

the Mongols were going to att*ck?

What do you mean,

Mother Hayme?

If he'd known,

he'd never have left us here.

My brother came back here for all of us.

Tell me, İlbilge Hatun,

did your brother intend

to conquer us from within,

like that Mongol dog said?

Is that why he insisted on the marriage?

You insult our honor, Selcan Hatun.

You forget your place.

You're trying to divide us

when it's crucial we stay united.

Hold your tongue.

-My dear!

-Mother.

Oh, Lord!

Oh, my dear son.

Oh, God.

Where are you, Ertuğrul?

Oh, Allah, protect my children!

Where is my grandson, oh, Allah?

Oh, Mother.

Your task was to find the stolen

chest for Hulagu Khan.

I know.

But Ertuğrul isn't the kind of man to give

you something because you've att*cked him.

You need to be smart.

Ertuğrul wouldn't tell you where it is,

even if it meant his death.

Is that why you sent your sister

to climb into his bed?

None of this would have happened

if you'd done your duty.

Who can save these tribes from me now?

No one can save them now,

of course, they can't.

But think about my position for a moment.

You're strong enough to destroy

the Kayıs and all the other tribes.

But... it won't change anything.

What happens when you're gone?

What do you mean?

Who will you rule if

the tribes are obliterated?

Who will be here to take care of Dragos

and deal with the Byzantines schemes?

We are on the frontier here,

Commander Alıncak.

How do you expect me to

protect these lands

with only a handful of alps?

And what about tax?

What about the taxes which come

from the tribes and the infidels?

If you destroy life here, how will you

gather taxes for Hulagu Khan?

That's why I wanted the frontier tribes,

especially the Kayıs,

to trust me.

That's why I pretended to obey Ertuğrul.

Taxes? What good did they do you?

You lost it all!

-I know who took it.

-Who?

I'll bring the stolen gold to

Hulagu Khan myself.

Tell me who it was!

Dragos!

That scum again?

I'll destroy his castle.

Think about it.

The Kayıs are the strongest tribe here.

Instead of destroying them...

-you should make them obey you.

-Commander Alıncak.

Ertuğrul's alps have surrendered,

Commander Alıncak.

Our Bey does not want bloodshed,

Commander.

So, he asked us to surrender.

Why does he send his pups

instead of coming himself?

He said he'll come to you

when the time is right.

He doesn't want w*r. If he did...

What if he did want w*r?

Would he att*ck me?

Commander Alıncak.

If Ertuğrul said he'll come, he'll come.

Take them away.

So, you know where the gold is, do you?

Gather all the Turkish tribes together

under your command, Kayıs included.

You can trust me, Commander Alıncak.

I won't disappoint you.

I came here in the name of the seven

White Beards, Ertuğrul Bey.

My word is their word.

Recent events demanded that

the holy council be gathered.

It was the right time.

The Mongol commander,

Alıncak, has att*cked Söğüt.

We know.

These new circumstances

require new decisions.

That's why we have called you

to the holy council.

First, you must know that...

Alıncak is Hulagu Khan's vilest k*ller.

He breathes fire and spits death.

There's no cruelty he would not

stoop to in order to achieve his goals.

A terrible w*r awaits these lands.

We're ready for every kind of w*r.

While he believed us to be helpless,

we made a deal with

Berke Khan's messenger.

Such a deal is very timely.

When Sultan Baybars accepts,

we'll have the Mongols

trapped between two fires.

This army of devils has

tormented the Islamic lands for too long.

They have destroyed

all the mosques and minarets.

This w*r isn't just

a w*r to save Anatolia...

it will avenge and resurrect Islam.

I'll use the gold we took from the Mongols

to help the Turkish tribes during the w*r.

Appropriate.

As soon as the w*r begins

the Mongols will close the roads.

They'll try to disrupt the transport

of gold, horses, weapons,

and even food.

Your gold will become more

precious still at such a time.

Keep it safe.

When the Turkish tribes rise up...

they will understand fully

the extent of our reach and our might.

While there is the earth and the sky

the Turkish state must

exist between the two.

We have held on to that belief

since the days of Oghuz himself.

Therefore, as long as we are not broken,

they'll only have destroyed

a throne and a crown.

And from the sovereign state

they thought dead,

a far greater state will emerge.

That's why this order was established

right from the very beginning.

And as you know, Söğüt

is the center of it all, Ertuğrul Bey.

If the fire has reached Söğüt,

others will be uneasy.

Start with Castle Lefke.

A thousand friends aren’t enough.

But one enemy is too much, Ertuğrul Bey.

Now is the time to use diplomacy

to rid ourselves of our enemies.

Since each of our enemies fears the other,

we must get them at each other’s throats.

That is how I would like

to set out the game.

They know that, as we aren't there,

no one else is capable

of extinguishing that fire.

But...

you know why

the Mongols are actually here.

They are after the chest

which contains our state secrets.

They're prepared to inflict every

kind of cruelty to get hold of it. line:%

So now I'm going to tell you exactly

what you must do about that.

This ointment will help you heal, brother.

That bastard will be brought

to account for this.

Osman is nowhere to be found.

We need to find out where they took him.

Calm down, Brother.

Beybolat Bey's talking with that bastard.

Didn't you see, Savcı?

He's one of their men. He's loyal to them.

I told you we couldn't trust

the Umuroğulları.

They would even att*ck us if it meant

winning the Mongols' favor.

We allowed that snake to get close to us.

I suspected something was off about him

the moment I saw him.

Let's just see what happens next.

This is not the time, Süleyman!

We need to find out where Osman is.

We need to think of a way

to get rid of them!

It won't be that easy, Gündüz.

What do you mean?

Alıncak...

he's not like the other Mongols

you've seen.

He looms over everything like a nightmare.

If we can't stop him,

he will dry up the rivers,

destroy the mountains

and k*ll every family .

-All right?

-Yes, sir.

It's an impressive castle.

It overlooks the road.

It's on the trade route.

Having it would prove

very lucrative for us.

What does that mean?

It means,

if you don't give us our stolen gold,

we will att*ck the castle

and take it from you.

Firstly...

you can't expect to take this castle

the way you took the Turkish tribes.

Secondly...

we don't have your gold.

If you came here for the gold,

you were wrong to do so.

Ertuğrul has the gold.

You admitted that you stole the gold.

But now you're saying Ertuğrul has it.

You are either very stupid,

or you think we are very stupid.

Haven't you taken their camps?

Search them.

You might discover where

Ertuğrul has hidden the gold.

That gold must be returned to us,

Commander!

You wouldn't want to...

gaze upon the beautiful

architecture of this castle...

hanging by your neck

from the castle walls.

By the way,

since you have chosen

to collaborate with Ertuğrul,

you can deliver this message to him.

Everyone in his camp

has been taken hostage.

His son Osman has been

taken by our soldiers.

If he doesn't give us what we want,

his son will die.

Great castle!

We've told everyone

that Ertuğrul has the gold,

but not even the Mongols believe it.

It's all part of Beybolat's plan.

Beybolat?

How would he be able to play such a trick?

He's discovered who has the gold,

and now he's going to take it.

But I'm not going to let him!

Ertuğrul Bey doesn't want

anybody to get hurt.

Mother Hayme,

you did the right thing by surrendering.

That's also why the Bey sent us here.

Ertuğrul Bey knows what he's doing.

Ertuğrul has betrayed both

his state and Hülagü Khan.

The decision is final.

Nothing can save him from death.

His alps have surrendered.

And if you also obey us...

I will spare your lives.

We will do as Ertuğrul Bey commands.

There will be no bloodshed.

Commander Alıncak!

In that case, henceforth, Artuk Bey

will be the bey of this tribe.

Artuk Bey will follow my orders.

We have brought the captured beys

of the Oghuz tribes, Commander Alıncak.

Let them come in.

Wait here.

Ertuğrul...

the last time you came here,

we made a pact of cooperation with you.

But you broke that agreement.

Why are you here now?

Forget the past.

I am here to talk to you

about a much more serious matter.

We heard the Mongols invaded your lands.

Is that why you're here?

This problem is bigger

than you think it is.

I came to form an alliance.

Such an alliance will protect us,

but it will also protect you.

The Mongols didn't inv*de our lands.

They invaded yours.

Do you really think the blood flowing

today will not reach you one day?

Do you really think

the Mongols will not

turn the sharp point of their swords

towards you one day?

If you are a wise man,

you already know it is likely

that the Mongols will att*ck here too.

You are in trouble, too.

If we do not form an alliance,

these men will destroy us all.

With whom will we form an alliance?

Your tribes have been overrun.

The Turks are desperate.

We have this castle and an army.

What do you have?

Your Ertuğrul Bey turned tail and ran.

No more. When I find him,

I will skin him alive,

and use him as a mat in my tent.

I will destroy the tribes

of those who helped him.

From this point on,

your margrave is Beybolat Bey!

Does anyone here object?

We fought for these lands. We won't

be bullied into surrendering them!

It was Ertuğrul Bey who conquered them.

And you...

You slaughtered my tribe, k*lled my sons.

You can go to hell, Alıncak!

Ertuğrul Bey will trample you all

into the ground!

I will show you what it is to trample.

You saw the force of my wrath

against rebels.

Are there any other rebels here?

In that case,

take the beys back to their tribes.

Tonight...

in Ertuğrul's tent,

we will celebrate our victory.

And the tribe's women...

will prepare delicious food

for my soldiers and I.

As for you, Selcan Hatun.

Tonight, you will serve me

and my guests...

in this tent.

I'd rather die than serve you!

Then I will k*ll your son

right before your eyes.

My son is the son of a bey.

He would die of shame

if he saw me serving you!

Sometimes...

Tengri surprises me!

You know the traditions well.

How did a fool like Gündoğdu manage

to hold on to a woman like you?

It surprises me.

My bey is a true man!

My fever has abated.

I will not k*ll you now.

But when the time comes,

I will keep my promise to Hayme Hatun,

and will give you an honorable death.

To all of you.

Don't underestimate us.

We will be joined by

many more of our men shortly.

Who?

My brother Gündoğdu and his alps.

Did you really think I would give Söğüt

to the Mongols so easily?

I had every detail of this campaign

planned from the very beginning.

It's going to be a punishing w*r.

I have as many men as you.

And you only have your castle to hide.

But I have the mountains.

I have the steppes.

I have all the tribes loyal to me.

Think about it.

Do you believe you can survive

the Mongolian scourge alone,

or would it be wiser to form an alliance?

Think about it.

How can I be sure it would

be any more successful

than our collaboration over the gold?

You reap what you sow.

Loyalty for loyalty...

and punishment for betrayal.

What are you going to do now?

Don't move from your castle.

I will send word to you soon.

I will know if you contact the Mongols.

And if that happens,

your problem will be with me.

Ertuğrul...

a Mongol came here.

He wanted me to deliver a message to you.

What is the message?

They have Osman, your son.

If you don't give them what they want,

they will k*ll him.

Aren't you going to do anything

to stop Alıncak?

I will do what I can.

But this is the Mongols' way.

They strike like lightning,

and they burn like fire.

How long will this barbarity go on?

Barbarity?

They haven't done anything yet, sister.

If I hadn't stopped them...

you wouldn't believe what

they would have done to you.

I warned Ertuğrul about the Mongol thr*at.

But he didn't listen to me.

He thought he could fight them

with a couple of alps.

So, he deserves what he's got.

What do you mean?

We will soon be related to the Kayı Tribe.

We call each other brother and sister.

Do you want them to get hurt?

If I had wanted them to get hurt,

Alıncak would have slaughtered them

and then b*rned their bodies

with the rest of their tribe.

And forget about us becoming family.

Don't dwell on it.

What about Osman?

If you know how he is, tell me.

Mother Hayme is desperate.

He's fine. Don't worry.

When Ertuğrul gives the Mongols

what they want,

they will hand back the boy.

And Ertuğrul Bey?

İlbilge... you must forget about him.

Ertuğrul is a dead man now.

I thought you might be thirsty.

You thought right.

So, your sister is to marry Ertuğrul.

And you?

Has your brother also

given you to someone?

No.

Good.

Good.

And your sister?

It seems that she loves Ertuğrul.

The marriage was to unite our tribes.

But our respect for our khan

remains undiminished.

My sister will learn

to live with her pain.

If you will excuse me.

Tell Hayme Hatun and Artuk Bey...

that I want them to be present at dinner.

As they obeyed me...

I want them beside me at my table.

After dinner...

I want to get to know you better,

Sırma Hatun.

Come once more with sherbet in your hand,

as gentle as a dove.

My brother and I would be honored

to join you at dinner.

I am going to ask you a lot of questions.

You will tell me everything you know

in that sweet voice of yours.

As you wish, Commander Alıncak.

Are you concerned about

the deal we made with Ertuğrul, sir?

No.

It was the right thing to do,

for both of us.

So, why are you so preoccupied?

I was getting so close to Ertuğrul...

and then the Mongols att*cked!

I planned every detail.

I risked my own life.

If that arrow...

You saved my life, bell-ringer.

had been a fraction higher,

I could have d*ed.

Do you understand, Uranos?

I was prepared to risk my own life.

I was going to find that chest.

But then the Mongols came and

turned everything upside-down.

Look on the bright side, sir.

Ertuğrul needs us now.

What you see as a good thing...

is actually the worst that could happen.

We now need Ertuğrul, too.

All this v*olence

for this chest, right, Bey?

But this chest will also put an end

to the v*olence and save our tribes,

and enable us to continue

our walk upon our holy road.

What is it, Mergen?

I followed the bell-ringer

like you ordered, Bey.

He went to Lefke Castle today.

He stayed there for a while.

Why would the bell-ringer go there?

Maybe he fled the Mongol invasion,

and went there to hide, Bey?

There might be another reason.

Do you think the bell-ringer

is in contact with Dragos, Bey?

Not just in contact.

I think he's doing a lot more than that.

Bastard!

But what good is he with that hunchback?

Bey, let's give him what he deserves.

Don't do anything to him, Bamsı.

He might prove useful to us.

We won't do anything before

we know exactly what's going on.

Keep following him

without revealing yourself, Mergen.

Bey, that chest contains

many of our state secrets.

It has the names of all the men who

are ready to revolt against the Mongols.

Can you really just give it away, Bey?

Can't we end the v*olence

and save our tribes...

without handing over the chest, Bey?

I think of you as my mother, Grandmother.

You are the only mother I've known.

When I was sick or sleeping,

when I woke up at night,

it was always you I saw by my side.

My poor boy.

I rocked your cradle, Osman.

I cared for you when you were sick

and comforted you when you cried, Osman.

I doted on you, my dearest Osman.

Those savages came and took you from me.

They cut my rosebud

with their blunt swords.

My dear Osman!

My dearest Osman!

May I come in, Mother Hayme?

Come in, my dear.

I came to ask if you needed anything.

I know...

you no longer trust me.

But I can assure you that

I have nothing to do with this.

I have loved Ertuğrul Bey

from the moment I first laid eyes on him.

I'd rather die than betray him.

I think of Osman as my own son.

I've talked to my brother.

Osman is fine.

You don't need to worry about him.

My brother said they're expecting

something from Ertuğrul Bey.

I don't know what.

When he gives it to them,

they will release Osman.

I have loved you all

as if you were my own family.

I regard you as my mother, Mother Hayme.

I could never hurt any of you.

You must know that.

If you will excuse me.

Do you love us

despite your brother, my dear?

I love you...

despite everything and everybody, Mother.

I have confessed my love.

There is no turning back from that.

May I come in?

Come in!

Commander Alıncak has invited you

to dinner, Hayme Hatun.

Our margrave, Beybolat Bey,

will also be there.

You are also invited.

Let's see what Kayi women are capable of.

They're great fighters,

but are they good cooks as well?

Hayme Hatun,

the Holy Mother of Kayi Tribe.

I know

you don't like to see me in this seat

where you have seen

your husband and son before.

Don't ever think

you can damage that sacred seat.

You can't pollute an ocean

with just a drop of filthy water.

Come, sit with us.

We have a lot to discuss.

Hayme Hatun, why are you standing?

We don't sit and eat with barbarians.

We respected you as a mother.

But, from now on, we will rule this tribe!

Including the women.

You are not the leading Hatun anymore.

Sırma Hatun will lead the women.

I will do my duty, Commander Alıncak.

We already have order here.

We don't need anyone

to tell us what to do.

The Holy Mother of the Kayi Tribe.

All the weapons of the Kayi Alps

will be confiscated tomorrow.

Look, I have Ertuğrul's camp.

I have his tent. I have his family.

You don't run this place anymore.

We will see if Ertuğrul is as brave

as they say.

I once knew a Mongol like you.

Noyan.

He talked too much, like you.

However, Ertuğrul has vanquished him

over and over again.

He will vanquish you, too.

Then we will see

who's a coward, and who's brave.

Enough!

Then he can come here

and try to save you!

Commander Alıncak.

Ertuğrul is here.

My precious.

My only hope.

You are just as majestic

as the mountains, Son.

Don't worry, Mother.

Although we have fallen into contempt,

we will stand tall again.

You're as brave as they say, Ertuğrul.

Let's see if you are also smart.

Did you bring what I requested?

I didn't.

k*ll him!

You have tortured my people,

and taken my son.

But the enemies I've defeated

know this very well:

no one can take anything from me,

if I don't choose to give it.

I can take whatever I want with my power.

Including your life.

Here I am.

And I didn't come stealthily, unlike you.

I came like a roaring lion.
