[Berlin, echoing] It's so terrible.
Just when you were about to be parents.

[faintly] Just when you were
about to be parents.

Just when you were about to be parents.

[louder] Just when you
were about to be parents.

[Camille gasps]

Do you think that someone

planning to have a child
would think of stealing 44 million euros?

And why steal jewels
that only he knows about?

And steal from a vault only he can access?

Does that make any sense to you?

You'd have to be stupid
to pull a job like that.

Right, very stupid. Makes no sense.

But you know, sometimes life...

I mean, what about all the evidence
that you said the police had found so far?

What if someone broke in?

That's it.
We never put the alarm on at night.

Someone broke in, took his keys,
his coat, his car, all of it.

They took everything.

Camille, I don't deny
that some thieves are pretty crazy.

Some are complete psychopaths.

But still, I find it hard to believe
that there would be someone so unique

as to steal 44 million from him
and then break into his home.

I mean, usually thieves steal stuff,
and then they run away.

No.

No, my husband
would never have left his phone on.

And he would never have brought
the jewels back to our country house.

François, he loves heist movies,
and that's rule number one.

Actually, I'm a big fan
of heist movies myself.

Eight years, I've known him.

And I know that François is a good person.

The police may have their doubts,
but I don't have any.

I had decided to leave my husband
and live with you, once in Paris.

But now, with everything
that has happened,

I cannot leave François alone in jail
for a crime that he didn't commit.

I'm aware my mistake is unforgivable.

Yes, it is unforgivable.

And typical of a brainless moron
who doesn't understand the game.

Why did you do it, Roi?

I was mad.

I was angry about how you treated me.

It really hurt
when you treated me like a dog.

I wanted to be my old self again.

You know, I would say
that there are two good things

that've come from this mess
you've gotten us into.

The first is that the necklace

is in the hands
of some illegal street racers.

Not the kind of people
who would simply take the jewels

to the police
to help in their investigation.

And second, and most important,
Roi, is that you have shown pride.

And dignity. And balls.

You had the courage to stand up
against the man who humiliated you.

I'm sorry too, Roi.

Forgive me.

You see, I was... confused.

I was hurt, and that's
why I insulted Damián and I insulted you.

- Who hurt you?
- Camille.

She had decided that she would be with me.

And just when she was going
to tell that fool Polignac, well,

he wasn't there.

Because we had him arrested.

We were too eager to have him framed.

You're right.

And now I can't even k*ll him.

Can't make him disappear
from the face of the earth.

He's under lock and key, the bastard.

And what's worse now is that Camille says
she can no longer leave him

and run away with me.

She believes he's innocent?

She thinks that he's a good person.
That he's so wonderful.

We've put him on a pedestal, Roi.

Can you believe it?

What'll you do?

New strategy. Camille likes good people.

So be it.

Now that her bank accounts
have been frozen,

I'm gonna throw
a load of cash in front of her

so that she can hire
the best criminal lawyer in Paris.

I'll be like the Gandhi of France.

And once he's released,
she'll leave him, and...

And then she'll choose me. [laughs]

That's a lot of money.

To help you pay the best lawyer in Paris.

I know your accounts are frozen,
so you'll need cash.

Any other man would be happy
to see my husband in jail.

Like having your opponent
taken out of the game, I suppose.

But you want to help.

Simón, are you an angel sent from heaven?

Don't get me wrong.
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

[energetic music playing]

I have a code of honor.

And I would never consider
kicking a man when he's down.

I'd like you to come
with me to visit François.

I don't know anything about any jewels.
I never saw that necklace before.

Then what was it doing in your car?

[siren wailing]

- It's not my car. I told you.
- [Lavelle] I know that.

The owner reported
the car stolen last night.

Just when someone pulled a score

and made off with
a priceless set of jewels.

So you see, what I really wanna know is,
how did this necklace end up in this car?

I didn't even know the car was stolen.
I won it from some guy at a race.

Okay. Let's assume
that what you said is true.

Imagine that you just pulled the score
of the century.

Would you then go drag racing
