- Ready for a Reeftown Rangers adventure today?

- Splash, I was still sleeping.

- Sorry. [chuckles] I always forget

you mandarin dragonets need a lot more sleep

than us yellowback fusiliers. - Yeah, yeah.

How about you just come back a little later, huh?

- Will do. [chuckles]

Okay.

Good morning, Bubbles! - Ahh!

- Ready for a great day? Huh? Huh? Huh?

- Oh, boy, Splash. It's only been a few seconds.

- Oh, I'm sorry, but to be fair, you didn't say how long.

- Well, I'm up now. What's the adventure for today?

- So I was thinking something big and epic.

- Ah, it sounds like fun.

What's a big and epic adventure we could have?

- I have no idea. - Hmm?

- But I'll know it when I see it.

Come on, let's go! - Okay.

- I can't wait!

- [laughs]

- Oh, that looks so beautiful.

- [humming]

- Psst, psst, psst. Guys, guys, guys, guys.

- Oh, oh, hi, Maury. - Come here, come here.

Hi. So have you guys heard the news about Splash?

- News? What news?

- Well, you didn't hear it from me, Maury,

but word on the reef is our friend Splash

is looking to leave Reeftown.

- What? Are you sure?

- Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

He said he wants to do something big and epic.

He's probably already planning out his next home

far across the ocean.

- Well, did he say that?

- Think about it. He's a migratory fish.

And he's looking for adventure.

That can only add up to one thing--he's out of here!

Well, I got to go. Bye!

- I had no idea that Splash was thinking

of leaving Reeftown.

He seemed so happy here.

- I guess you never can tell with migratory fish.

- Hiya, guys!

Hey, why so, uh, frowny-finned?

- Uh, well, we heard that Splash wants to go

on an epic adventure.

- He sure does. That's why I came to get you.

So what's so bad about that?

- Well, it's just that Splash lived in a lot of places

before he came to Reeftown.

- So?

- So...Reeftown is great

but what if while we're out having our epic adventure,

Splash discovers some other place to call home?

- [gasps] You know what? We just won't let that happen.

- How will we stop him?

- We'll keep him right here in Reeftown.

If he never goes out there,

he'll never find another place to live.

- Now, that's the best plan I've heard all day!

Let's show Splash that we can have

an epic adventure right here in Reeftown,

just hanging with friends.

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

- Whoo! - There he is now!

- Oh, come on! [laughs]

- So about that epic adventure

we were talking about-- - Uh, got one!

Um, today we're gonna have an epic Reeftown adventure.

- Ooh! - Well, Reeftown? Uh...

- Yeah, sure. Follow me. - Okay, but--

- It'll be fun. - Come on.

- Well-- - Come on!

- Reeftown Rangers part one.

Dorsal park slide. - Whoo!

- Whoo! [laughter]

- Look out below!

Whoa! Look, I'm doing it! I'm doing it!

Yeah!

Whoa! Whoa! [laughter]

Whoa! Whoo-hoo!

- Oh, that was amazing! - Ta-da!

- Whoo-ha! [laughs]

Oh! Whoa!

Yeah! - [laughs]

- Guess who's here? Splash the fusilier!

Whoo-hoo-hoo!

Whoa!

Oh! [laughs]

- Ah, adventurous, right? [laughter]

- Yeah, that was fun.

But I'm thinking we should look for a really big adventure.

- You want a really big adventure?

- Mm-hmm. - Come on! [laughs]

Try helping my dad take care of wild seahorse boys.

- Ripple, have you seen your brothers?

Specifically and ?

They're always wandering off. - Well, I'll get them.

Hermanos! Es la hora de la merienda!

Uh, guys, you'd better get out of the way.

- Why? What does "la hora de la merienda" mean?

- Come on, . - Come on!

[all talking, yelling excitedly]

- It means "snack time." [laughter]

- Got ya.

- What a great adventure that was, huh, Splash?

- Well, yeah, but don't you guys

want to do something huge and epic?

- Oh, yeah! Uh, I got just the thing.

[laughs]

Um, as soon as I figure out what it is.

- So, uh, Bubbles, uh, what's the big adventure?

Is it--is there something new here?

- Well, um, something's bound to come along.

Hey, what is that?

- Nice try, Bubbles. Nothing was there a minute ago.

- No, really.

There's some sort of strange-looking

mysterious jellyfish over there.

- Oh, well, that is weird.

- Oh, there is something different about that jellyfish.

- Well, everyone's mysterious until you get to know them.

Hey, let's introduce ourselves.

Uh, hello. What's your name?

Uh... - Maybe it didn't hear you.

- Yeah, um, yeah.

Hello, Mysterious Jellyfish.

My name is Splash.

What's your name?

- Its name is Plastic Bag.

- Plastic Bag? That's a funny name for a jellyfish.

- This is not a jellyfish at all.

It's not even part of the ocean.

It's something from up there.

- [gasps] Up there? Past the ocean's surface?

- Now, you know I go to the surface to breathe air.

Up there, I've seen these before,

but they certainly do not belong down here in the ocean.

- Are you sure it doesn't belong?

It kind of looks like a jellyfish.

- And that's exactly what makes it so dangerous.

Sea turtles, like me, who eat jellyfish, can get confused.

And if they get one of these in their tummies,

well, they can get very sick.

- Oh, no. Why would those things be in our ocean?

- Oh, it's a mystery, my dear Ripple.

In fact, about % of what's above the surface

is still unexplored.

But we're hoping they know that we're down here

and keep bags like this out of our ocean.

- Can we get rid of this?

- Well, once it's in the ocean,

it's very hard to get rid of.

Right now, I'm off to another journey,

but I'll take it out of Reeftown on my way.

- Where are you going, Flo?

- I'm going across the sea

to find the beach where I was born.

- Wow. That sounds really far away.

Why are you going all the way back there?

- Because that's my first home.

Now it's time for me to go back there and lay my eggs

so that new baby sea turtles can be born there.

Now, I'm off on my journey.

I'll see you when I get back.

all: Bye, Flo!

- [gasps] I've got it!

Our epic adventure!

We can go catch up to Flo

and--and find out where her home is!

- But we don't even know what ocean her home is in.

- It doesn't really matter.

I mean, they're all connected in one big ocean!

In fact, if we go far enough,

we can travel around the whole world!

Wouldn't that be amazing?

- Yeah. - Uh...

- Yeah. - Yeah, I'll go ask Wave

for some directions about which current to start with.

Oh, boy! This is so great!

- Oh, I'm worried.

Remember what Maury said?

What if we go see the whole ocean

and Splash doesn't want to come back to Reeftown?

- That would be awful. We can't go.

- Ah, but Splash loves Reeftown.

- That's a relief. Okay, let's go.

- But, of course, he hasn't seen the whole world.

- That's true. We can't go!

- Ah, but we're Reeftown Rangers!

We are supposed to explore.

- Guys, make up your mind. I'm getting exhausted!

- Come on, Reeftown Rangers.

Who's ready for our big ocean adventure?

- I am! - Whoo-hoo!

- To the currents!

[laughs]

Yeah.

all: Let's go!

- ♪ We're ready to take the ride of our lives ♪

- ♪ We're gonna catch a current ♪

- Yeah! ♪ The whole ocean's waiting ♪

♪ Right before our eyes ♪

- ♪ What an adventure ♪

- ♪ We'll see what we've never seen before ♪

♪ This is our chance to really explore ♪

all: ♪ Whoa, we'll catch a current ♪

- ♪ On the ultimate water ride ♪

♪ There's so many currents and so much to discover ♪

♪ We're starting on one, and we can jump to another ♪

♪ They go ♪ all: ♪ Up and down ♪

♪ Circle round, we'll be racing ♪

♪ It's all so amazing, come on ♪

♪ We'll go anywhere and everywhere ♪

- ♪ The real fun is traveling there ♪

all: ♪ Whoa, we'll catch a current ♪

♪ We'll take the ride of our lives ♪

Okay, um, let's see.

Uh, I spy with my fishy eye

something purple.

- Uh-- - Um...

- You'll never find it.

- Hmm. [gasps]

Is it those purple urchins?

- Oh, it is. [laughs]

Okay, your turn, Bubbles.

- Ah, okay, I got one.

I spy with my fishy eye

something yellow and blue.

- Ooh! Is it me?

- Ah, nope. - Oh.

- Oh! Is it that school of blue tang?

- Wha--it is! Okay, you go, Dunk.

- All right, all right. It's gonna be a good one.

Let's see. Uh, I spy with my fishy eye

something--Flo?

- Something Flo? What does that mean?

- Yeah. - No, there's Flo!

I think we found her up there on the current.

- Well, it's definitely a turtle.

- Yeah. - Yeah, but...

it doesn't look like Flo.

- Hmm. - Uh, hello?

- Oh, hey. I'm Scoot. What's your name?

- Oh, hi, my name's Du--

- Ooh, nice stripe. That reminds me of a blue coral I once saw.

Do you guys like coral? Ooh, you know what I love?

- I like coral! - Be right back!

[all talking excitedly]

- Wha--he--is he gone?

- Better question-- is he out here all alone?

- Oh, well, maybe he lives around here.

- Uh, I'm back! Sorry, had to go breathe.

Do you know what I love? Jellyfish!

Don't you just love jellyfish?

- Uh, yeah, I like jellyfish.

Uh, are there a lot of jellyfish out here where you live?

- Yeah, I guess so. I mean, my home is the ocean,

and there's a lot of jellyfish in the ocean.

- Right, we all live in the ocean.

But where do you live?

You know, like, we live in a place called Reeftown.

- Oh, I've swum past reefs.

They look nice. I just kind of live wherever.

- You don't have a home? But you're just a little guy.

- No, I'm a big boy now. I'm almost four years old!

- Scoot, uh, there's a bunch... - But really, it's fine.

- Of fish that are about... - I've been on my own since

- To come up here-- - I first crawled out

of the sand. - Scoot, buddy, seriously,

you need to turn around. - And ever since then,

I've just kind of been riding the currents...

- Whoa! - And seeing where

they take me, and--and that's just how I like it.

- Yeah. See, guys?

That's just the sense of adventure I was talking about.

- We're on a bit of adventure ourselves.

We're going around the whole big ocean looking for our friend.

She's a sea turtle, just like you.

- [gasps] Oh, that sounds like so much fun!

It's been a while since I went all the way around the world.

I tend to stick more to the warmer parts if I can.

When I get too chilly, my shell starts...

shaking!

- I just don't know how you do this, Scoot.

I've only been gone from Reeftown a little while,

and I'm already homesick.

- Well, that's no big deal.

It's just what we baby sea turtles do--

travel and grow and learn to survive for two,

up to ten years.

- But after that, you'll have a home?

- Maybe, but I already have a home, remember?

The whole ocean is my home.

I don't have to call one place my home,

when I can call every place my home!

- Wow. That sounds amazing.

Oh, I love seeing different places and meeting new friends,

just like you. [laughs]

- Guys, it seems like Splash is having a lot of fun so far.

- Yeah, maybe too much fun.

He may want to keep traveling this whole big ocean with Scoot.

- Well, it's not doing us any good to worry right now.

Let's just have fun with Splash on this adventure.

- Yeah. I guess you're right.

You know, he is our friend,

and if traveling around this big ocean makes him happy,

then we should all support that.

both: Yeah. - And then this one time,

I swam right near this whirlpool,

and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa!

[laughter] Then I was okay.

Just a little dizzy. - [laughs] Scoot, I thought

I had seen a lot of stuff, but you're only three--

- Uh-uh. Almost four. - Okay.

And you've already seen so much more than I have.

Oh, you're so lucky! - Well, thanks.

But you're really lucky, too. - Wha--what do you mean?

- Well, you have all these really nice friends

with you all the time.

I love traveling, but I also love--

- [screams] And there he goes again.

- So should we wait, or-- - I love travelling.

[all exclaim] But I also love to talk

and play games and there are only so many times

you can play chase your tail before that gets old.

Where are you, tail?

Oh, I know you're back there somewhere!

See what I mean?

- Here's a thought. - Huh?

- We're all looking for Flo, right?

- Mm-hmm. - And Scoot is looking

for some new friends to play with, huh?

- So he can come with us on our adventure.

- Yeah. - Hey, great idea, Bubbles.

- Great idea, Bubba.

- Uh, Bubbles.

- Yeah, we're best friends. - Whoa.

[laughs]

Aww.

- Well, if you love having friends,

you're gonna love our friend Flo, the sea turtle.

- She's been around for a long time,

so she can teach you the best ways to stay safe

and out of trouble!

- Whoa! - Why would I need

help with that? [all sigh]

- Uh, no reason.

- Let's do this, Reeftown Rangers.

And, uh, honorary Reeftown Ranger. [laughs]

all: Ocean friends forever!

- Yeah! - And ever and ever and ever

and ever and--oh, sorry, it's my first club.

- [laughs] - It's okay.

So, uh, what do you want to do first?

- Do you guys like to play games?

all: Uh, yeah!

- What don't we like to play?

Uh, there's hide-and-seek, finball,

ooh, exploring tunnels.

- Ooh! Let's explore tunnels!

[gasps] I see one now! - Uh...

[all exclaim]

That's not a tunnel!

- Save that turtle! Oh!

- We're coming, Scoot!

- Oh, I'm not gonna make it.

[stammering]

I guess he really did find a tunnel.

- Bet you can't catch me!

- [gasps] Whoa!

This kid's a ball of energy.

- Oh, don't worry. He'll get tired soon enough.

Come on. This tunnel's gonna be fun.

- Uh... - Ooh-wee!

- Like I was saying, he'll tire himself out

any minute. - Whee!

- I hope. - Whoa!

Okay, now what, best friends?

- Uh, I don't know, Scoot. How about, um...

- [gasps] Lunch! - Huh?

- Now, that is a good idea.

- No, that is my lunch.

A jellyfish. Yum! [all exclaim]

- It's another one of those plastic bags!

- Yeah. - Scoot, don't eat that!

- Oh, this is the strangest jellyfish I've ever seen.

- That's because it's not a jellyfish.

- That's right. This doesn't belong here.

Now go away, plastic bag.

Fine, be that way. Hmm.

- Come on, come on, pal. Let's go.

- Hey, what about my lunch?

- Uh, well, eating that would hurt your belly, okay?

Besides, wouldn't you rather-- - But I'm hungry!

No, no, I'm tired.

Wait! No, you're right. I want to play.

Let's play! - All right, all right.

How about we play in that ooey, gooey algae puddle, huh?

- Do you really want to do that?

- Ah, sure, if you want to.

- I know it might be a little weird,

but I like to splish and sploosh in muddy puddles.

- Whoo-hoo!

That's not weird at all.

- Really, Bubbles? You like to do it, too?

- Like it? I love it!

- ♪ Hey, yeah, yeah, hey ♪ - ♪ I like it yucky ♪

♪ And all the ucky ♪

♪ So if it's yucky and it's ucky ♪

♪ Well, then I should be so lucky ♪

♪ If it's slimy ♪ - ♪ Ooh ♪

- ♪ And if it's grimy ♪ - ♪ Ooh ♪

- [laughs] ♪ Well, let the party begin ♪

- ♪ Ooh, ooh, ooh ♪ - ♪ Oh, I like yucky stuff ♪

- ♪ Ooh ♪ - ♪ Really, I can't get enough ♪

- ♪ Ooh ♪ - ♪ Now you know how I feel ♪

♪ You'll find me ♪

♪ Where it's muddy ♪ - ♪ Uh-huh ♪

- ♪ And really cruddy ♪ - ♪ Uh-huh ♪

- ♪ 'Cause where it's cruddy and it's muddy ♪

♪ I might find a brand-new buddy ♪

♪ If it's greasy ♪ - ♪ Yow ♪

- ♪ I don't get queasy ♪ - ♪ No ♪

- ♪ Uh-uh, give me goopy, and you know I'm all-in ♪

♪ When something's ♪ all: ♪ Oozing ♪

- ♪ You'll see me ♪ all: ♪ Cruising ♪

- ♪ You know I'm choosing to take a good look ♪

♪ And if it's gooey ♪ - ♪ Gooey ♪

- ♪ Give me extra ooey ♪ - ♪ Ooey ♪

all: ♪ I like the yucky, ucky, slimy, grimy ♪

♪ Muddy, cruddy, gloppy, sloppy ♪

♪ All the yucky stuff is treating me right ♪

♪ And that's the stuff that I like ♪

♪ Hmm ♪

[laughs]

[laughs] Hey, Scoot.

Uh, Scoot?

- Where'd he go? - Shells away!

[splashing] - [laughs]

So what do you think?

- I love it!

[laughs] I could do this all day!

[laughs] Oh! Ooh!

- Eh?

[laughter]

- Whee! [splashing]

Oh, whoa!

Oh.

Yahoo! - Boy, he was not kidding.

- Muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy.

- He really could do this all day.

But we need to get going and catch up to Flo,

right, guys? Guys? - I love mud!

I love it so much! I love it more than--

- [laughs]

- [gasps] It's back--

the big, white bubble.

It's back. all: Oh.

- Wow. It's so beautiful.

- When I first crawled out of the sand,

the first thing I saw

was the big, white bubble in the sky.

It's almost like my oldest friend.

But that's not as good as my best friends. [laughs]

- Aw. - Aw!

Thanks, Scoot.

- Huh. You know, I've always wondered...

what do you think it is?

- Hmm, um, I think that it's a light

so that we can see at night.

'Cause otherwise, it'd be so dark.

- Maybe, but I think it's even more than that.

It's something we can all share together.

Like how I can see it and so can my papa back home.

- Hmm, makes you wonder about all the places in the ocean

you can look up and all see the same light

up there at night. - Yeah.

- That's because we all live in one big ocean.

Right, Splash? - Yeah.

You got it, buddy. [laughs]

[yawns] Ah.

You know, normally, yellowback fusiliers like me

don't need much sleep, but I am b*at.

I feel like we've been traveling all day.

Oh, wait. We have.

[all laugh]

- But you know what? - What?

- Even though we've traveled far from Reeftown,

having you all around makes it feel like home.

[giggles] Don't you think?

Uh--Aw. [laughs]

- Aw. - Good night, little guy.

[laughs] And, uh, good night, bright bubble.

- Good night, guys. [snoring, yawning]

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

- Thanks for traveling with me, guys.

It's been so much fun

having friends along while I ride the currents.

- We know you like to be independent, Scoot,

but we just want you to meet our friend Flo.

She knows everything about the ocean,

and she's a sea turtle, like you!

- Flo. I like that name.

Flo. Flo! [laughter]

I can't wait to meet her. - Yeah!

Well, if we just keep riding the currents,

it shouldn't be too much longer.

[all groaning] - It's been all day.

[sighs] - Maybe we should find

a place to stop and rest for a while.

- I'm not tired.

Besides, I love this part of the ocean.

It's my favorite!

- Uh, hey, Scoot,

are you sure you're not getting tired?

- Tired? No!

Watch how deep I can go.

♪ Ta-da ♪ - Oh, boy.

- Wow! - See? I'm not tired at all.

- How is that possible? I got tired just watching that.

- Well, we came out here to find Flo,

and that's what we have to do.

She'll know what to do with him.

- Exactly where did Flo

say she was going to lay her eggs?

- Just that it's the place where she was born.

- And I remember she said it was near a colorful reef.

- Oh, yeah, so the baby turtles could go there

when they hatch out of their eggs and run into the ocean.

- Ooh, and one more thing-- Flo said the place she was born

reminded her of Reeftown.

- [gasps] Splash! That's it!

It's just like Reeftown! All we have to do is--

- Whee! - Uh-oh.

- All we have to do is-- - Whee!

- All we have to do is--

- Find another reef that looks just like Reeftown!

- Yeah, but there's only one Reeftown,

with only one group of Reeftown Rangers.

- All right, you guys, come on, we should get going.

- Uh, hey, guys, where's Scoot?

- Huh? Oh, uh, Scoot? Scoot?

- Huh, isn't it funny?

The one time you're looking for him,

he's nowhere to be found.

- Hello. [all exclaim]

Just back from the surface.

Breathing, you know?

Did you miss me? - Uh, yeah.

So, Scoot, listen, uh, we're off to find the coral reef

near where Flo could have laid her eggs.

She might still be there. - Oh, that would be so amazing!

Are we there yet? - Uh, well, not yet, Scoot.

But we'll find the reef eventually

if we just keep following this current.

- Got ya. Um, are we there yet?

- Uh, not yet.

- Are we there now? - No.

- Hey, are we there yet? - Aah! We are not there yet.

No. We are looking for a reef in the middle of nowhere.

And it could take days. It could take weeks.

It could take-- - Hey, it's a reef.

- Ah. Oh. Or not.

- Whoa. This can't be the colorful reef

that Flo was talking about, right, Scoot?

- I don't think so. It doesn't look like a reef.

I'll go check it from the surface.

I'll be right back. - Okay.

- Eh, let's check this out. - Yeah.

Well, it's shaped like a reef.

And it almost looks like it could be a reef,

but it doesn't have any color.

It's--it's completely white.

- Hello? Is anyone here?

- Wow. It's quiet. Huh.

I wonder if anyone even lives here?

- Hey. - Huh?

- Let's keep looking around.

- Yeah, okay.

There doesn't seem to be anything alive on this reef,

not even coral.

- So I guess nobody's here.

- Except for me! [all exclaim]

- Uh, me?

Uh, who's me?

- Me! Over here!

My name's Dusty. [laughs]

- I'm Dunk. Say, Dusty, you're a parrot fish, aren't you?

- I am, how did you know?

- We live on a reef, too.

You kind of remind us of somebody

we know back home, right, guys?

- That's exactly right.

- Oh, they left a long time ago.

There's nothing left here of this reef.

- But why didn't you leave

when everyone else left the reef?

- Oh, just doing my job, I guess.

It's my instinct to keep making sand.

Ooh, that looks good.

Even if I don't know why I'm doing it sometimes.

- Great that you make all this sand, Dusty.

- You do? - Sure.

Lucky for me it's your instinct to make the sand

and it's my instinct to make patterns in the sand.

- Patterns? What do you mean, Dunk?

- Well, I'm a puffer fish. It's what I do back home!

- Oh, it's hard to believe this is even a reef at all.

- Yeah, this place has become a bleached reef.

It used to be colorful and full of life,

but then, suddenly, it changed.

- This place used to look like Reeftown?

- What happened?

- Over time, the ocean water got warmer.

One day it got to be too warm for the teeny, tiny organisms

that live in the coral and feed it.

Without these organisms to keep the coral healthy,

you have, well, this.

- Wow. If that can happen to this reef,

maybe it can happen to other reefs.

- Maybe even our reef. - [gasps]

- That's true.

- [breathing erratically]

- Oh, no, no, no.

Dunk, breathe with me.

[both breathe deeply]

Good job, Dunk. - Thanks.

- Is there anything we can do to help

make your reef beautiful again?

- Oh, that's very kind of you to offer,

but I just don't know if a few fish

can restore a whole reef.

It's such a big job.

- Yeah, but every big job has to start with one small step.

- Well, I guess that's true, but what makes you so sure?

- Well, that's our Ripple.

She may be little, but she has big dreams.

- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!

- [gasps] I found some!

- Thanks, Bubbles. - Uh-huh.

- Hey. - Ah.

- Hey, hey, there's more right there.

[laughs]

- Algae time. - Got it!

[munching]

- Whoa.

- Who won? Who found the most algae?

- The real winner is the reef!

Everything you're doing is helping the coral

get healthy again!

[all cheering]

I must have eaten a whole reef worth of algae.

- Well, the coral does look a lot cleaner.

- Oh, thanks, but I guess it's not gonna

come back to its old color anytime soon.

- [gasps] Look at this.

It's not the whole reef, but it's a good start!

[all gasp] - Good? It's great!

Oh, this spot used to be white and dying,

and now it's colorful and alive again.

It gives me hope for the rest of the reef.

- Hey, I know!

We could call this spot our "hope spot."

- Yeah, as in, we hope the rest of the reef

can be healthy like this again.

- Hope spot-- I like that.

- Oh, thanks for all your help, everyone.

And I hope that the next time you come back to this reef,

I'll have a lot more hope spots to show you.

- And we're always glad to help, when we're in the neighborhood.

- But for now, we're off to find our friend Flo

where she went to lay her eggs.

- Yeah, we're helping our little turtle friend cross the ocean.

When she went off to lay her eggs,

she never told us which beach she was going to.

- Wait. What if Flo is laying her eggs

at the same beach where Scoot was born?

- But how would he remember how to get back there

after swimming the currents for so long?

- Yeah, that's impossible.

- Wait! [all yell]

Whoops. Sorry about that. - We're getting used to it.

- So you guys want to go to the beach where I was born?

- Yeah. We know that that's a crazy--

- Let's do it. [all exclaiming]

- I told you it was possible.

- It's not far from here.

All we got to do is follow this current,

and, boom, we're there!

- Follow Scoot.

- Follow me. [all cheering]

- This is it. Right up there is where I was born.

- Wow. What a cool place. Watch this.

- Oh, I bet it'd be fun to live here!

- Did you hear what Splash said?

- Don't say it.

- He said it would be fun to live here.

- Instead of Reeftown?

- [laughs] You guys have to see this place.

It is amazing!

- Scoot, how in the world did you remember

how to get back here?

- It's called instinct. - Oh.

- Hi, kids.

Instinct is a feeling

you get inside that tells you what to do,

even when no one taught you how to do it.

- Flo, I can't believe we found you.

Um, this is Scoot.

- Well, hello, young turtle.

- Hi.

- This is the beach where Scoot was born.

- It also happens to be the beach where I was born.

[laughs]

And I just finished laying my eggs

on the beach above the surface.

- See, I told you it was possible.

- But how did you and Scoot know how to find this place?

- Oh, very simple.

Magnetic receptors in our brains.

- Magnetic receptors? - Mm-hmm.

- They are a special sense of direction

that keep turtles like me and, uh, Scoot...

[chuckles] On track through the ocean.

They pick up a magnetic field

at the exact beach where we came from.

- That's amazing.

- So how long until your eggs hatch?

- Oh, a few weeks.

Then those little newborn sea turtles will hatch

on the beach and run their little flippers off

before joining the citizens of the sea.

- And they'll use their magnetic receptors and instincts

to go where they need to go, too?

- Yep! They'll be swimming the currents in no time.

- Just like me. - [laughs]

Oh, I love this little guy. I like his energy.

- I got more energy than you. [laughs]

- What? No way. Come back here.

- Hey, why do you three look so down in the dorsals?

- We're a little worried about Splash.

- He keeps saying how much he likes

all the different places we've been visiting

and how he could live in all those places.

- And, well, what if he doesn't want to live

in Reeftown anymore?

- I think Splash knows where his home is.

Every creature in the ocean has a different idea

of what home is.

Some stay in one place all their lives.

all: Like us!

- Yep. And others travel the whole ocean...

[chuckles] Like, uh, Scoot.

- But no matter where you call home,

we all live in one big ocean!

- [laughs] That's right, Splash!

- [laughs] We sure do.

- Migrating. - Migrating?

- Traveling from one place to another.

I'm headed to a colder climate

where I can find lots of food.

- What a shame to have to do it all on your own.

- On my own? - Well, yeah.

Aren't you all by yourself, Melody--

Uh, oh!

all: Wow!

- I guess you're not all alone.

- Nope. I've been migrating with my pod

throughout the ocean.

- Yeah.

Just like little Scoot here and I have been migrating as well.

- That's right.

As a pod, we travel together and look out for each other,

like a family.

- Hey! That's what we do!

Bubbles and Dunk and Ripple and Flo--

well, they're my Reeftown family.

Huh. Well, I don't know about you guys,

but I really miss home.

Hey, you want to head back to Reeftown?

- Really? - Well, yeah.

This has been the best Reeftown Rangers adventure ever!

And I loved exploring all over the ocean with you guys,

but I miss home.

- That's the nicest thing you could say, Splash.

- But, Scoot, where will you go? What about your home?

- Like I told you, my home is the open ocean--

riding the currents

and seeing the amazing places they take me to.

I love it!

- And maybe someday the currents will bring you

to a special place like Reeftown,

and you'll decide to live there, like I did.

- That would be the best!

Aw, I'm gonna miss you guys.

- Well, look at it this way-- it's never really a good-bye
