where all our fairy tale

Oh no! Pig looks sad. Let's go
see what's wrong.

Ruff! Ruff-Ruff!

C'mon!

Whuff! Whufff!

Hi Pig! What are you doing?

Hi Whyatt.

Hi YOU.

My brothers said I could help
them build a brick house.

Good idea. Brick
houses are strong.

Uh-huh.

So strong that the wolf won't
be able

to HUFF and PUFF and blow it
down!

But Pig... you LOVE building!

So... why are you sad?

[sniffing]

Great. We're all here.

Together we will solve Pig's
problem!

OK, Pig, state your problem!

My brothers and I are building
a brick house.

Good idea.

Sounds strong!

Ruff!

But I don't feel like I'm
helping and it makes me sad.

That is a big problem!

When we have a problem we

Which book should we look in?

[SFX: Musical sparkle sounds]

Let's read the title of this
book.

We need to jump into this
book...

and find the answer to Pig's
problem!

First, we look for Super
Letters.

And then, put them in -

our Super Duper Computer.

[SFX: blinking]

In this story, we need 9 Super

And then, we will get our
Super Story Answer!

Today is the Alphabet Parade
in Alphabet City.

The Alphabet didn't want to be
in the parade.

We like being letters.

But... letters don't do that
much.

No, we don't.

All we do is - make sounds.

The alphabet was having a sad
day.

We're so sad...

[sighs, mutterings]

Oh no, the alphabet feels sad.

And that, Super Readers,

is why we are in this book.

Pig and the Alphabet letters
are all sad!

We need to talk to the
Alphabet.

But, where are they?

C'mon - let's go find that
alphabet!

Ruff! Ruff!

Hel-lo! Letters!

Ruff!

Hmmm. Over here?

Letters...where are you?

No. Not over here.

Where could it be?

Ruff! Ruff!

Oh! Hi, YOU. You're not a
letter!

[sniffing]

Wrowr!

Do you see the Alphabet?

KIDS: There!

[gasp!] Oh my peas!

They're LEAVING in that boat!

Oh, my.

No, no, NO!

The Alphabet can't leave
Alphabet City!

No alphabet, no parade!

We need to get across that
lake

to get to the Alphabet, but
how?

I know!

Alpha Pig... to the rescue!

With my amazing alphabet
tools,

I can make a bridge to get
across the lake!

Will you help me?

You will? Alphabetastic! ABC,
sing with me!

♪ Abcdefg.

♪ Hijklmnop.

♪ Qrs. And tuv.

♪ Wxy and zee.

♪ Sing with me.

Amazing alphabet singing!

Now we need to find all the
letters in the word, BRIDGE.

First we need the letter B.

Where's the letter B?

KIDS: Over there!

PIG:
B!

Next we need the letter R.
Where's the R?

KIDS: There!

R!

Now I need the I.
Where's the letter I?

KIDS: There!

I!

Now I need the letter D. Do
you see the D?

KIDS: There!

Oh yeah, right there!

D!

Ok, now the G.
Where's the letter G?

KIDS: There!

G!

And the last letter is...
E!

Where's the E?

KIDS:

There!

Now, read with me:
B-R-I-D-G-E.

BRIDGE!

Lickety Letters!

We found the letters and built
a bridge!

Now we can get the Alphabet!

Let's give ourselves a big
thumbs up!

Over the bridge and to the
Alphabet we go!

Don't forget to look for Super
Letters.

[giggles]

You see Super Letters?
Which ones?

KIDS: P! R! T!

P, R, T.

KIDS: More super letters!

Wait, what? What did you say?

More Super Letters?
Which ones?

KIDS: I! N! M!

I, N, M! Wow!

Let's fish those Super
Letters out of the water...

and put them into our
Super Duper...

KIDS: Computer!

Three more Super Letters

and then we'll get our
Super Story Answer!

Nice work, Super Readers!

Ruff! Ruff!

Look, there they are! [gasp!]

Alphabet! Please come back!

We can't have the Alphabet
Parade without you!

Fiddlesticks.

We may be the Alphabet, but us
letters,

we just don't do that much.

Yeah! We're not, you
know - important.

[gasp!]

You think the Alphabet's
not important?!

Uh, what does
'important' mean again?

Rruff!

Woofster... to the rescue!

With my doggie dictionary

I can tell you what
any word means!

'Important'.

'Important' means... Needed.

Special. Cannot be without.

Like a doctor.

Doctors are important

because they keep
us healthy and safe.

'Important'!

Now we know what it means.

Woof-de-doo! Give your tail

[pants]
a wag!

Ohhhh, the Alphabet is
SOOO important!

But we don't, y'know...

feel important.

All we do is make sounds.

/T/ /T/ /T/.

Hmmm.

What is so special about
that!?

It makes me so sad.

[cries]

So very, very sad...
[sniffles]

[crying]

[sniffs]

Oh it makes me sad too!

But, guys, don't you see?

I made the word BRIDGE with
alphabet letters!

And that's what helped us get
across the lake!

Huh. That does seem... kind of
important.

It is very important!

So, if letters made the word
'bridge'...

does that mean we can make
other words too?

Yes! Yes! You totally can!
Right guys?

YES!

- That's right!
- You totally can!

Really??

We want to make words!
We want to make words!

[happy cheering]

But... we can't make words!
Look at our story!

The Alphabet makes sounds.

Only sounds!

[crying]

With the power to read,

I can change this story and
save the day!

this sentence.

Words! We need to
find the word "words".

"Words" starts

KIDS: There!

There it is. Zzzzap!

Zzzzap! Let's read.

The Alphabet makes

we made the word cat!

The alphabet makes

We're happy being
the Alphabet now!

Now I'll zap you words
into my sentence!

Let's read!
The cat chased the dog.

Ruff! Ruff! Bow Wow! Meow!

[giggles]

That was fun, bow-wow-wow!!

Meow! So fun!

The Alphabet makes

and silly sentences, too.

BONUS! We are important!

[giggles]

We changed the story
and saved the day!

And now the Alphabet
isn't sad anymore!
