- [Rider] Hiya, Butterfly.

- Hey kiddo.

- I'm looking for a snack.

- Another snack?

- I'm growing big and tall.

- You're definitely getting bigger everyday.

Here you go. Think you could eat those while

you bring these straws to Grammy?

- Sure I can.

I mean, sure I can.

[dog barks]

Hiya, butterfly.

Flutter, flutter, flutter.

Hey, whoa! Where'd that butterfly go?

Oh, there it is.

[panting]

A caterpillar. It's eating the leaf.

Look at all the holes he made. He must be hungry.

Wolfie, when that caterpillar grows up

he'll become a butterfly. I learned that from a book.

Butterflies love to eat, ugh, I don't know

what butterflies eat.

[birds chirping]

No holes. Hmm. I guess he's not eating the flowers.

[laughter]

Flitter, flitter, flitter.

Flitter, flitter, flitter.

[giggling]

[sniffing]

[bark]

Whoa! The butterfly drank something from the flower.

Some kind of flower water maybe.

- Well hello, Rider.

- Shh, Grammy, watch.

What is that skinny, pointy thing?

- [Grammy] It is called a proboscis. It's a long tube

the butterfly has to help it drink nectar.

- Nectar. That is like flower water and they drink it

with their probusees.

- Proboscis

- Probusess?

- Proboscis.

- Proboscis.

- Exactly right.

- That butterfly drank a lot of nectar with its proboscis.

He must have been really thirsty!

- How about you? Would you like some lemonade?

- Yes, please.

[ice clinking]

Oh, and Mom wanted me to give you these.

Can I open them, Grammy?

- Sure.

- Check out my proboscis.

- Check out mine.
