(Horse whinnying)

Gee, that voice sounds familiar.

(Horse giggling)

Can we help you?

Lulabelle Rose! I don't believe it.

(In Southern accent) Hello, Marvin.

My. How long has it been, sugar?

Sugar?

What's all the shouting about?

Ooh. Well, hello there.

I'd like everyone to meet Lulabelle Rose,

an old friend from my Broadway days.

(In Southern accent) Miss Lulabelle and I starred together

in Gone with the Whinny.

Oh, my. How do you do?

Welcome to our carnival.

Charmed, I'm sure. You're all too kind.

Hi, I'm Eddy, and I'm Marvin's best--

So, uh, how have you been?

Friend.

What, uh, brings you to town?

How long are you staying? Are you hungry?

Thirsty? Would you like something to--

(Clearing throat)

Maybe if you let Lulabelle answer--

Uh, oops. Sorry.

We'll all get to learn more about

this charming lady.

(Chuckling)

I'm just passing through.

We certainly have some catching up to do, Marvin.

Hey, doesn't anybody work around here anymore?

Lulabelle Rose? Wow!

Gone With the Whinny is my favourite show.

Would you two show us a bit of your act?

Yeah.

(Hooves clicking in sync)

BOTHTa-da!

ELIZABETHOh, nice!

JACKYay!

You know, Marvin is teaching me to dance, and--

Hey, why don't you two perform the whole number

here tomorrow night?

(Gasping)

What do you say, Lulabelle?

I say it's show time, Marvin.

Oh, how exciting!

Isn't that great?

Yeah, great.

How about setting up Lulabelle's tent near my cage,

so I can, uh, keep an eye out for her?

(Eddy grunting)

(Sighing)

Sheesh. Even Lulabelle's tent is cute.

Oops. It's past lunch time.

Stripes is going to be starving.

(Sniffing)

Mmm! Oh, boy.

What are you eating, Stripes?

Southern fried chicken and pecan pie.

Where'd you get all that stuff?

Mmm. Lulabelle made it for me.

She sure is something, huh, Eddy?

She sure is. She dances, she cooks.

Best chicken I've ever had.

Maybe she'll give you the recipe.


(Sighing)

STRIPESWhy, that girl is just a peach, I tell you.

DIAMONDSEddy, can you come in here and give us an opinion?

Coming, Diamonds.

(Gasping)

How do we look?

Uh, did you know you have flowers stuck behind your ears?

Of course.

Lulabelle says everyone down south wears them like this.

Don't you like them?

Lulabelle gave them to us. Eddy?

(Laughing coming from inside)

Sweep, sugar.

MARVINOh, I can't b*at that.

Oh, wow! Aw.

Terrific. Oh!

(Owl hooting)

(Birds chirping)

EDDYMarvin?

Marvin!

Marvin? I'm ready for my dance lesson.

(Snapping fingers)

Feet, do your stuff.

(Shoes clicking)

Okay, Marvin.

I think I'm going to get it right this--

LULABELLE'Morning, sunshine.

It's just about show time.

What show?

We get to see slides of Lulabelle and Marvin

in Gone with the Whinny.

But Marvin and I have to practise, if I can find him.

Over here, Eddy.

I'm just plugging in the record player for Lulabelle.

Sit down and enjoy the show. It's really great.

What about my tap lesson?

Um, let's do it later today.

We need the record player for this.

But Marvin, we have to rehearse our routine later.

Right.

Well, we'll just have to skip today's lesson, Eddy, okay?

It's no big deal.

(Projector clicking)

ELIZABETHOh, it looks so romantic.

Ooh. Aah!

LULABELLEOh, Marvin.

Huh?

How about a lemon ice break, Eddy?

Maybe it needs a little sugar?

Well, those lights are awfully bright, but I don't think--

I'll have them out of your eyes in a jiffy.

But we need 'em.

Got to see where we're dancing, Eddy.

Do you remember the night the lights went out?

Oh, and I fell off the stage into that tuba?

(Laughing, imitating tuba)

And it took them forever to get it off of your head.

Oh, that was one flat note.

(Laughing)

I'll just leave you two alone, then.

(Laughing)

Oh, we had some really good times back then, didn't we?

We sure did, Marvin.

Will you excuse me? I've got to powder my nose.

(Bird singing)

LULABELLEI think I owe someone an apology.

You do?

I've been a frightful hog with Marvin's time lately.

I guess I'm just used to spending a lot of time with him.

He's really great, isn't he?

MARVINI don't feel so great.

Marvin, what are you doing here?

When Lulabelle didn't come back,

I wanted to make sure she was okay.

But it looks like I was worrying about the wrong friend.

than performing on Broadway itself.

(Everyone laughing)

I get to relax, read the morning paper and...

Yikes, Marvin! Bad hair day?

Yeah. Eddy promised he'd brush my mane. But I can't find him.

Where's Eddy?

He's got to fix my TV antenna before my soap opera comes on!

And he hasn't made the orange juice.

I need my juice!

It's not like Eddy to neglect his chores.

JACK; Eddy just called in sick. He's home with a sore throat.

Oh. Oh.

Poor Eddy, sick in bed!

And here we are,

bellyaching about newspapers and orange juice!

I feel awful!

Let's go visit him!

Hey, great idea! Let's go!

Yeah. Yeah.

Uh, one small detail, folks:

Who's going to do Eddy's chores today?

Elizabeth!

Stripes!

Marvin! Diamonds!

Oh, come on, Eddy's job can't be that hard!

Eddy's the only one who knows how to do everything!

Well, someone has to cover for him!

Jack's doing my chores? All by himself?

He volunteered, said he could cover for you, no problem!

You know, I'm feeling a lot better.

Maybe I should go to work.

(Door opening)

(Gasping)

Edward, back into bed!

Don't worry, Eddy. Jack will manage just fine.

Today, your job is to get well!

Mrs. Larue, is there anything we can do to help out?

As a matter of fact, there is.

(Birds chirping)

I'll just pick up some groceries and be back in an hour.

while I go and make you some nice warm soup!

(Grunting)

(Machine powering down)

I'm really tired. Maybe I should have a nap.

STRIPESA-ha!

There's nothing like a game of checkers

when you're sick in bed!

(Groaning)

You mean "Go fish". You play cards when you're sick.

(Sighing)

But Eddy loves checkers!

He loves cards more!

Actually--

But checkers is more relaxing!

Oop! Oh!

Sorry about that, Champ!

Let me get those for you!

Oh! Hey! Watch it! No, stop!

(Whistling)

(Birds chirping)

(Whistling)

(Gasping)

(Laughing)

(Groaning)

Here we are! Diamonds made some soup.

And after you finish your soup,

I'll put on the mustard plaster I made.

(Trumpeting)

I'm just going to sleep a little.

Open up! It's soup time!

(Groaning)

(Coughing)

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, Eddy!

(Coughing)

(Groaning)

(Whirring)

(Gasping)

(Cheering on TV)

We're really worried about Eddy.

He's not getting any better!

And we've tried everything.

Hot soup, games, TV, music.

I've seen this before. And it can be very serious.

Oh my goodness! What is it?

Chronic over nursing.

What do you mean?

I know you all want to help Eddy.

But he needs peace and quiet, not constant attention.

Oh! Oh!

Fortunately, there is a very simple cure for over nursing.
