♫ Bottle Top Bill

♫ And his best friend Corky

♫ Up on the hill

♫ Let's watch them as they play

♫ Playing all day

♫ Hooray

- [Bill] The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill.

- [Corky] And his best friend Corky.

♫ Bottle Top Bill

- [Corky] Are we having an adventure today, Bill?

- [Bill] Too right, Corky.

- [Corky] What's it going to be about?

- [Bill] It's all about Walking the Dog.

- Great!

What a lovely, lazy day, Bill.

- Just right for doing nothing, Corky.

- And it's just right for sitting outside in the sunshine.

- Great idea, Corky.

- What's wrong, Bill?

- My legs are stiff, Corky.

- What you need is exercise.

- What sort of exercise?

- Watch me, Bill.

Here goes!

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

(breathing heavily)

- That exercise looks like hard work, Corky.

- That's the idea, Bill.

(horn honks)

- Hello, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Hello Bill.

Hello Corky.

Can you help me out?

- Sure, Mrs. Whistlehead, what is it?

- Timmy needs his walk but I have to go into town.

Could you take him?

- It'll be a pleasure, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Just leave him with us.

- Wonderful.

Right, out you hop, Timmy.

(grunts)

He really needs his walk.

He's been eating too much food lately.

(barks)

I won't be long.

See you soon!

(horn honks)

- My exercise will have to wait, Corky.

- Taking Timmy for a walk is exercise, Bill.

- You're right, Corky.

We can do the two things together.

Let's go, boy!

Whoa!

(Timmy moans)

- I don't think Timmy wants to go anywhere, Bill.

- How can we take him for a walk if he doesn't want to walk?

- We need an idea.

- What sort of an idea, Corky?

- Watch.

- [Bill] A toy car?

How will that make Timmy walk?

- You'll see.

We just add a bowl of dog food.

Timmy loves food.

If we make the food move, then Timmy will move too.

(robotic noises)

Timmy, come on, boy!

Right, Bill, stand by for some exercise.

Okay, Bill, ready to go walking?

- Ready, Corky. - Then let's go.

(engine whirring) (Bill yells)

Oops, I didn't mean to make it go that fast!

(engine whirring)

- Do something, Corky!

Make it slow down!

- Will do, Bill!

(whimsical music)

Oh no!

(Bill grunting) (Timmy barking)

- [Corky] Timmy, stop! Timmy!

- Corky, help! (Timmy barking)

- Let go of the leash, Bill.

- Good idea, Corky.

(screaming) - Good work, Bill.

Watch out for the big slide. - I can't stop!

- Oh, dear.

Bill's heading straight for the pond in our garden.

(whimsical music) (screaming)

- Oof! (splashing)

- Bill, are you all right?

- I'm all right, Corky, just soaked good and proper.

- I'm sorry, Bill.

- No worries, Corky.

At least we got Timmy to do some exercise.

- Where is Timmy?

He's not at the slide.

- Or the bus stop. - Or the bush.

- Uh-oh.

He hasn't run away has he?

- I think he might be getting too much exercise.

- We better find him, Corky,

or Mrs. Whistlehead will blow her top.

(whimsical music)

We'll head for Watermelon Mountain.

- [Corky] Good idea, Bill.

(whimsical music)

- There goes Timmy, Corky.

I think he's too fast for us.

- Let's take the shortcut, Bill.

- Good thinking, Corky. - Jump on.

- [Corky] We'll catch him in no time.

(whimsical music)

- [Bill] There he is, Corky.

- Grab hold of the leash, Bill.

- [Bill] Will do. (grunting)

Missed. - Now, where's he going?

- We'll just have to follow and find out.

(Timmy barking) (whimsical music)

- [Corky] What's this place, Bill?

- [Bill] It looks like a big road.

- [Corky] And there's a building, too.

- [Bill] Lots and lots of buildings, Corky.

- [Corky] That means he's going into town.

(barking) (whimsical music)

- [Bill] I hope Timmy doesn't upset any people.

- [Corky] How could he do that?

- [Bill] There's all sorts of people in town,

and they've all got business to do,

very important business.

- [Corky] Right.

- [Bill] Can you see Timmy yet?

- [Corky] Not yet.

- [Bill] There he is.

He's heading straight past the fruit man.

- [Corky] What fruit man?

I can't see a fruit man. - Ooh.

- Corky, watch out!

(whimsical music)

- Hang on, Bill.

(screaming)

- Whoa! - Whoa!

I can't see Timmy anywhere, Corky.

- You're facing the wrong way, Bill.

- Okay.

Now, where's that Timmy?

(whimsical music)

There are so many buildings around here.

He could go into any of them.

- [Corky] Up ahead, Bill.

He's going into the museum.

- [Bill] Well spotted, Corky.

Let's get after him. (barking)

(whimsical music)

We'll have to be careful in here, Corky.

A museum is a very special and precious place.

- [Corky] I've never been in a museum before, Bill.

What's it like?

- [Bill] It's fantastic, Corky.

You can see all kinds of things in a museum.

(whimsical music)

- What are all these bones?

- That's a skeleton, Corky.

It's a dinosaur skeleton.

- Wow!

This dinosaur's missing a leg bone.

- And I think I know who took it.

Timmy. - Timmy.

- We've got to find him, Corky.

- And the missing leg bone.

(whimsical music)

What's this room, Bill?

- [Bill] I'm not sure, Corky.

We'll have to find out. - Look.

There's a pyramid.

- [Bill] And a statue of a very special king.

- [Corky] Wow!

What are these things, Bill?

- [Bill] They look like

they're all from Ancient Egypt, Corky.

- [Corky] Do you think we'll find Timmy in here?

- [Bill] Let's hope so.

- [Corky] Bill, look, there's another statue.

- [Bill] It's a cat.

The Egyptians loved cats.

(whimsical music)

(growling)

(barking)

- [Corky] Timmy!

Timmy, where are you?

(whimsical music)

- Look, Corky, over there.

- The dinosaur bone. - But where's Timmy?

We better put this bone back.

- But Timmy's getting away.

- It's okay, Corky.

You watch.

(dramatic music) (bone whistling)

- [Corky] Perfect, Bill.

- I knew my Frisbee practice would come in handy one day.

But where do we find Timmy?

(barking)

- That way, Bill.

(whimsical music)

- [Bill] What's out there, Corky?

- [Corky] It looks like a courtyard of some sort.

- [Bill] Why is Timmy going there?

There's only a few plants.

- [Corky] There's more than plants, Bill.

I can see a cat,

a really big one, too.

And he's not alone.

- [Bill] Look at all these cats.

- [Corky] What are they doing here?

- [Bill] I don't know, Corky.

- I think I know why they're here.

- Why, Corky?

It's a cat show.

- A cat show?

I think you're right.

I see lots of cats, Corky,

but I don't see Timmy.

- Bill, and Corky.

- Mrs. Whistlehead.

What are you doing here?

- I'm a judge at the cat show.

But what are you doing here?

- Uh, just looking at the cats Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Then where, may I ask, is my Timmy?

(barking)

(meowing)

Timmy?

What are you doing?

(barking)

- It's all right, Mrs. Whistlehead.

It's all under control.

(whimsical music)

I've got it, Corky. (whimsical music)

(screaming) - Hang on, Bill.

(Bill grunting)

I've got you, Bill.

- What are you doing to my Timmy?

- Whoa! - Whoa!

(barking)

- Whoa! - Whoa!

(barking) (dramatic music)

- Whoa! - whoa!

(meowing)

- Whoa! - Look out, everyone!

(dramatic music)

(meowing)

- [Corky] Now where are we going?

- [Bill] We're heading straight for that fountain.

- [Corky] I hope we don't get wet.

- [Bill] We won't.

But I think that poor pussycat will.

(splashing) (dramatic music)

(meowing)

- I don't believe it.

This is terrible.

(dramatic music)

- Hang on, Corky, the car's coming towards us.

- You hang on, Bill.

I've got an idea.

(dramatic music) (barking)

Don't worry, Bill, everything's going to be alright.

Just hang on.

- I hope your idea's a good one, Corky,

and I hope it happens quickly.

(dramatic music)

Hurry, Corky, I can't hold on much longer.

- Two more seconds, Bill.

(whimsical music)

There.

(whimpering) (barking)

(screaming)

(meowing) - Good work, Corky.

- You might think it's good work, but I don't.

Just look at what you've done.

(dramatic music)

- Oh no! - Oh no!

Oh, no!

Oh no! - Oh no!

We're so sorry Mrs. Whistlehead.

- We were only trying to give Timmy his walk.

- But he didn't want to go.

- So we had to trick him into moving.

(barking)

- Do you know,

I do believe Timmy's looking thinner.

Yes indeed, you have lost weight, haven't you?

(barking)

Well, Bill and Corky, I don't know how you did it,

but you actually got Timmy to do some exercise.

Well done.

- Thanks Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Would you like us to take him home now?

- I think you'd better.

I have a very large mess to clean up.

- We can stay and help, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Thanks for the offer, Bill,

but you've done more than enough already.

- We'll see you soon, Mrs. Whistlehead.

Thank you.

And please say sorry to all the cats for us.

(meowing)

I think you better tie Timmy's leash to the tree, Bill.

We don't want him to get away again.

- Good idea, Corky. (whimsical music)

- [Corky] Make sure he's tied properly.

(barking)

No more chasing cats for you, Timmy.

- I think Timmy's so tired from all this exercise

he's not going to go anywhere.

- And I'm so tired, I'm not going to go anywhere, either.

- I wish my legs weren't so stiff,

then I'd be able to relax in my chair, too.

- Maybe after all the exercise you've done,

your legs won't be stiff anymore.

- You think so?

- Why don't you give it a try?

- Well--

- Go on, Bill, see if you can sit in your chair again.

- Okay.

Here goes.

(suspenseful music)

Brilliant, Corky.

My legs aren't stiff anymore.

- From now on Bill, I think we should exercise every day.

- That's a top idea, Corky.

- But right now, I think we both deserve a good long

rest.

- (chuckling) When you're right, Corky, you're right.

(whimsical music)

♫ Bottle Top Bill

- [Corky] What's today's adventure, Bill?

- [Bill] Today's adventure's called,

A Windy Day.

- [Corky] Will we have to very far for this adventure?

- [Bill] We won't have to go far at all.

Just out into the back garden

where it's a beautiful sunny day.

- [Corky] It's a great day for drying our washing, Bill.

- [Bill] It sure is, Corky.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] Even the birds look happy.

- [Bill] The birds are always happy, Corky.

And today, they've got a nice breeze to help them fly.

- Right then, let's get cracking.

I'll get the clothes line ready, Bill.

- And I'll bring the washing, Corky.

- It's about time we did the washing.

All the clothes are very dirty.

This looks like a good place.

(whimsical music)

- [Bill] Good sh*t.

- Perfect.

Where's that washing, Bill?

- Coming right up, Corky.

- Okay, let's start scrubbing.

(whimsical music)

The first thing we need to do

is go down to the stream and get some good fresh water.

(whimsical music)

- [Bill] Then we need our special water catching machine,

so we can fill our tub.

- [Corky] Where is our tub, Bill?

- [Bill] There it is, Corky.

Let's turn on the tap.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] Look at all that beautiful water, Bill.

Our clothes should be cleaned in no time.

- [Bill] Now that the tub's full,

we can turn the machine off, too.

(whimsical music)

- Right, Bill, put the washing in.

(whimsical music)

- In it goes.

- Now, let's get to work.

(whimsical music) (splashing)

- This washing should be as clean as a whistle now.

- Take a look, Bill.

(whimsical music)

- Paint me pink, Corky, this towel's still dirty.

- So is this tee shirt.

- Do you think we've forgotten something?

- I know.

We need some soap.

I'll get it.

- Good thinking, Corky.

- How much, Bill?

- Just a little bit, Corky.

Easy now.

- [Corky] That should do it.

Look at those bubbles.

- Right, let's get washing.

(whimsical music) (splashing)

Now, let's see how clean it is.

- Right, Bill.

- It's still dirty.

- This isn't clean either.

- There's only one way to fix this, Corky.

- What's that?

- [Bill] More soap.

A lot more.

(whimsical music)

- You don't think that might be too much, Bill?

- No way, Corky.

I'm just putting in enough

to get our clothes clean properly.

(dramatic music)

- It looks like it's too much to me.

- You might be right, Corky.

- I think I'm very right, Bill.

Look at all these bubbles.

- I can't see a thing.

- [Corky] Where are you, Bill?

- Here. - Where?

- Here, Corky, inside this bubble.

- Oh, no!

Bill, come back!

- I can't.

I don't know how to get out of the bubble.

- Oh dear.

What can we do?

- [Bill] Help me, Corky!

- [Corky] Don't worry, Bill.

I'm coming to help you.

(dramatic music)

- Uh-oh.

I don't like the look of this.

Watch out! (dramatic music)

- Careful Bill! (screaming)

Bill!

Are you okay?

- I think so, Corky.

(whimsical music)

And I think my hat's okay, too.

Now, let's see, how's the washing?

- [Corky] It's cleaner than I've ever seen it.

- You beauty.

Now we just have to hang it out to dry.

(wind blowing)

- [Corky] We can take it to my washing line, Bill.

- Ready, Corky?

- Ready, Bill.

(whimsical music)

This is good teamwork, Bill.

- Now, that's what I call a really top lot of washing.

- All this work has made me thirsty.

- Right Corky.

Time for a nice big glass of lemonade.

(whimsical music)

- Watch out, Bill! - Ouch!

(dramatic music)

Come on, Corky, let's get that lemonade.

- [Corky] It's hard to walk, Bill.

(both grunting) (dramatic music)

(bird squawks)

- Do you notice something, Bill?

- I sure do, Corky.

The wind has come out of nowhere.

- I hope our washing will be all right.

- It's just what we need, Corky.

The wind helps the washing dry faster.

- Are you sure?

- Too right.

Let's have a look.

- [Corky] I think we'd better hurry, Bill.

(whimsical music)

- Huh? Huh? - Huh? Huh?

- Oh no!

Our beautiful clean washing.

- And my hat.

- How will we get them back, Bill?

- We need help, and fast.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] What's this?

- [Bill] A very special flying machine

to help us get our washing back.

Jump in, Corky.

- [Corky] Right, Bill.

- Ready, Corky?

- Ready, Bill.

- Let's go.

(whimsical music)

- Let's get that washing, Bill.

- And my hat.

- There they are, Bill.

(whimsical music)

- We'll have them in no time, Corky.

Keep peddling.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] The washing's headed towards

Mrs. Whistlehead's farm.

(sheep bleating)

- [Bill] We're nearly there, Corky.

(sheep bleating) (whimsical music)

- Look, Bill.

Your best shirt has fallen

on one of Mrs. Whistlehead's sheep.

(sheep bleating)

It can't see where it's going.

It's jumping all over the place.

(sheep bleating)

- We better get it, Corky,

or Mrs. Whistlehead will be very cross.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] I think I can see Mrs. Whistlehead, Bill.

- [Bill] I hope she's in a good mood today.

- [Corky] Me too.

- Goodness me.

My poor sheep.

(sheep bleating)

- [Corky] Look out below!

- Morning, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Hi, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Bill, Corky, what are you doing to my sheep?

- We'll fix it in a jiffy, Mrs. Whistlehead.

- Even sooner.

- You'd better, or-- (blows whistle)

- Don't you worry, Mrs. Whistlehead.

We've got it all under control.

- Take us up, Corky.

- [Corky] We'll have your sheep back soon Mrs. Whistlehead.

(dramatic music) (sheep bleating)

- Follow that sheep, Corky.

- Will do, Bill.

Stand by, Bill.

- Here we go! (dramatic music)

Got it, Corky.

(sheep bleating)

That's the first piece back.

- Good work, Bill.

- But where's the rest of our washing?

(dramatic music)

- I think I can see it, Bill.

Looks like it's heading towards town.

- Then let's get after it.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] The town's such a big place, Bill.

I hope our washing doesn't get lost.

- [Bill] There are so many buildings

for it to fly in and out of.

- [Corky] And don't forget all the cars, too.

Let's hope our washing stays away from them,

or it'll get all dirty again.

- [Bill] There it is, Corky, I can see it.

(whimsical music)

- Aah!

- Aah!

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] I've got an idea, Bill.

Let's ask a traffic policeman if he can help us.

- [Bill] Good thinking, Corky.

He'll help us for sure.

(whimsical music)

- Can you stop that washing, please?

- [Bill] It's on the back of that car, there.

(dramatic music)

- Whoa!

- Thanks for trying.

- Looks like we'll have to keep peddling, Corky.

- [Corky] Bye, Mr. Traffic Policeman.

(whimsical music)

- [Bill] Now where are we headed, Corky?

- [Corky] Looks like the Town Hall, Bill.

- [Bill] Can you see the washing

in any of those buildings, Corky?

- [Corky] No, Bill.

I can't see the washing there.

I can't see it anywhere.

Where on earth could it be?

(whimsical music)

- There it is.

It's blown onto the Town Hall clock.

What do we do now, Corky?

- I'll fly up close, and you reach out and grab the washing.

- Spot on, Corky.

- [Corky] Be careful, though, Bill.

(dramatic music)

- I've got them, Corky.

- I think they've got you, Bill.

(clock bell ringing)

(grunting)

- Hang on, Bill.

- I'm hanging, all right.

- Don't let go, Bill.

- I'm beginning to feel dizzy.

- Hang on!

Oh no!

He's going to fall. (Bill screaming)

I'm coming to get you.

Grab the towel.

- I knew this towel would be useful one day.

- [Corky] Climb aboard, Bill.

- Thanks Corky.

(whimsical music)

- [Corky] And we've got all our washing back.

- But we still don't have my hat.

- [Corky] We'll find it.

- I don't think we'll find my hat here, Corky.

I thinks it's blown a long, long, way away from here.

I think it's lost.

- We have to look everywhere, Bill.

We don't know where it is.

- I hope we find it soon.

My head feels cold.

(wind blowing)

- At least it's not so windy now.

Your hat shouldn't be too far away.

(bird squawks)

Can you see what I can see, Bill?

- Clear as day, Corky.

- [Corky] That looks like your hat.

- [Bill] It is my hat.

- Then it should be on your head.

- You're right, Corky.

Let's get after it.

(whimsical music)

Come back, birds.

- They're heading for our house, Bill.

- Let's hope they stop soon.

All this peddling is making me tired.

- Me too.

(whimsical music) (bird squawks)

Look Bill, your hat's coming back.

- [Bill] But it's heading straight for the fish pond.

- [Corky] I hope it doesn't land in the water.

- Oh no!

It's going to get soaking wet.

(whimsical music)

- It's not wet yet, Bill.

(whimsical music)

Quick, Bill.

Put the wash basket on the pond.

Hurry!

- Here it comes.

(grunting)

You beauty.

We saved it after all.

(clapping)

Great.

It's in tip top shape.

That feels better.

- And look Bill, our washing's perfectly dry.

- And beautifully clean.

- I think we've done a good day's work, Bill.

- A top day's work, Corky.

- And a top day's work deserves a glass of lemonade.

(whimsical music)

I didn't know that doing the washing

could make me so thirsty.

- And I didn't know that doing the washing

could make me lose my hat.

(whimsical music)

- But all's well that ends well, hey Bill?

- (chuckling) When you're right, Corky, you're right.

(whimsical music)
