Whoo-hoo!

[engine chugging slows]

My friends

and I love to compete,

but when I was in Brazil,

I ran into an old friend

who wanted to be the best

at everything.

[whistle toots]

All aboard for a big adventure!

"Grudge Match."

[whistle toots]

-Oh, olá, Gabriella!

-Olá, Thomas!

-Have you met Raul?

-Thomas!

I remember you

from The Great Railway Show.

Oh, yes!

Didn't I b*at you?

Yes, you b*at me.

Raul, I can't believe

I traveled so far,

to see an engine I met before.

Perhaps the world is not

so big after all, Thomas.

Oh, heads up!

Game on!

Let's play keepy-uppy.

Don't let the ball

touch the ground.

I got it!

To me!

To me!

Oh...

[thud]

Oh, watch this.

Oops...

-Sorry!

-Ah, Thomas!

You've ruined the game!

I got it!

Whoo-hoo-hoo!

[Raul] Nice one, Emerson!

Well played!

Pass it to me!

To me!

Aww!

Yes!

It's Raul for Brazil

with the ball.

Ho!

He beats one.

Ho!

He beats two.

He sh**t, he scores!

Goal!

The little engine

all the way from Brazil!

Raul!

Simply the greatest!

[crowd chanting]

Raul! Raul! Raul!

[laughs]

Obrigado!

Thank you, thank you.

I am the greatest!

[laughing]

Hey, I thought we were trying

to keep the ball in the air,

not score a goal.

Well, tough luck.

I scored one anyway!

[sighs] I love games.

[laughs]

So do I, Raul.

[Raul]

So let's have another one!

Whoever can collect their goods

and bring them back

to the docks first

is the champion.

You're on!

-[whistle toots]

-[whistle blows]

[Thomas]

So Raul and I racedto see who was the fastest, but I kept getting distractedby all the wonderful sightsof Brazil.

[engine chugging]

Huh?

I'm right behind you!

Whoa-ho-ho-ho!

I'm winning!

Hey!

Wow!

Look at that.

Ooh, I just passed you!

Whoo-hoo!

[Thomas]

We picked up our cargoand both racedback to the docks.

[whistle toots]

Keep it up, keep it up.

Faster, faster, faster!

I'm the greatest.

I'm the greatest.

[shutter snapping]

Thomas is the winner!

By a buffer!

Whoo-hoo!

I'm number one!

[Raul]

We have to race again.

Give me a chance

to b*at you back

and be the winner.

[sighs]

I guess so.

Okay, you're on.

[whistle toots]

One-two-three-go!

Ha-ha-ha.

Whoo!

Why'd he go that way?

Did I...? Am I...?

The winner!

[Raul laughs]

As if!

[laughs]

I am the best.

I am the greatest.

Na-na-na-na-na.

Not really, Raul.

Thomas won the last race,

so you're tied.

You're equal.

Okay, so now we have to play

one more time,

to see who's the best engine

of all time.

How about a test of strength?

Um, okay, Raul.

Game on.

[sighs] Thomas!

You could have won!

I know,

but you were in trouble.

And some things are

more important than winning.

Thank you, Thomas.

You know, ever since you b*at

me at The Great Railway Show,

I've wanted to win

against you at something.

But I'd much rather

we were friends than rivals.

Me too, Raul.

Good. So...

Let's delivery some more cars

and this time...

I'll show you

some sweet shortcuts

with spectacular views.

All right!

I would love that!

I love to race and compete

against my friends.

But some things are

more important than winning.

One time,a soccer teamwere visiting Sodorfrom the mainland.James and I turned itinto a competition:Reds versus Blues. But neither of us won.All we did was causeconfusion and delay. When Raul and I met again,he really wanted to showthat he could b*at meat any cost. But he realizedthat being friendsis better than winning.

Who doesn't want to be

the best at something?

It feels great when you win.

But real winners

don't lose friends

-over a silly game.

-[whistle blows]

Come on, Thomas!

It's time to go.
