- Previously on "The Amazing Race,"

teams gathered at the starting line in Los Angeles

where a bombshell was dropped on them.

The team that is unable to complete the challenge

will be eliminated right here.

And Eric and Lisa bid farewell

in the earliest elimination ever.

- Now the shame of having to be that first team

is gone for everybody else.

- Once in Tokyo,

[crowd chattering]

Maria and Brian found their wasabi bombs too hot to handle.

[upbeat music] [Brian coughing]

You are team number one.

Meghan and Cheyne emerged victorious,

and professional poker players Maria

and Tiffany came in last.

The good news is that this is a non-elimination leg.

[teams cheering]

The race continued as teams then flew

into a monsoon Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

- Wow.

- Look at this.

- Do you play poker? - Yeah.

- [Phil] Brothers Sam and Dan discovered

Maria and Tiffany's secret.

- Yes.

- Maria and Tiffany, turns out

they're very successful poker players.

- [Phil] And then confronted them face to face.

- Poker, poker, poker, poker.

[all laughing]

- You're so cute.

- [Phil] At the Roadblock,

some teams couldn't control their ducks.

- No!

- Come on!

- [Phil] While others kept them in line.

- [Justin] It turns out he's the duck whisperer. Who knew?

- Yeah, I didn't know. [Justin laughs]

- Let's go, little fellas. Go.

♪ We're going over a bridge

- Leading Gary and Matt to a first place finish.

Gary and Matt, you're team number one.

But in the end, Garrett and Jessica finished last

and were eliminated.

This is the end of your amazing race.

teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

[exciting dramatic music]

[singers vocalizing]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[gentle music]

This is the Mekong Delta.

During the Vietnam w*r it was a place to be feared

as intense fighting between the Americans and the Vietcong

led to thousands of American soldiers losing their lives.

But today it is a place of beauty and simple living.

And traveling down the now-peaceful waters, the Bassac III.

This local riverboat was the second Pit Stop

in a race around the world.

During the Pit Stop, the Bassac III picked up anchor

and traveled from Cai Be to My Tho, Vietnam,

a destination unknown to the teams.

- It's going somewhere. We're not sure where.

- It's hard to believe that our Pit Stop is moving.

Where it's going to we don't know.

[bright music]

- [Phil] Gary and Matt, who were the first to arrive,

will depart from the docks of My Tho at : a.m.

- Here we go, buddy. Make your way to Ho Chi Minh City.

- [Phil] Teams will now travel by taxi from My Tho

to Ho Chi Minh City.

[upbeat music]

Once there, they'll search

for the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater,

where their next clue must be grabbed

from the mouth of a water dragon.

- [Gary] Taxi.

- Which way is the best way, do you think?

I say go that way.

- Well, I don't know Matt.

Matt is definitely proving himself,

but as a parent, it's still difficult to turn that loose

and just accept him as an adult.

- Pick a direction, Dad. Let's go.

It kind of irritates me when my dad takes control

and uses the father figure.

Hopefully he will see me as an adult.

There's one, there's one. - Ho Chi Minh?

- Make your way to Ho Chi Minh City.

- [Dan] Let's go. Let's go. Hey, taxi!

- They got it Dan, they got it.

Dan and I are two years apart and we're both gay.

But we are complete opposites.

- We are not going to find one.

- Dan is very impatient.

He gets frustrated very easily.

Let's go down this way, dude.

I am the older brother, and I just go with the flow.

Spontaneous, whatever happens, happens.

- What the hell? - Hang on. Just calm down.

Hopefully, I'll get him to calm down

and stay focused and not get too stressed out.

- Why, can we not- - Stop getting frustrated Dan.

- Ho Chi Minh City.

- Let's get a taxi.

I lost my dad two days before the race.

He was a great inspiration to me.

I grew up in the projects in New Orleans.

My dad told me no matter where you come from,

no matter who you are, you can set out

and you can do anything you want in life.

Taxi.

The last time I talked to my dad, you know,

he was like, "Win the damn race."

And that's what I'm going to do.

I'm going to represent my dad and we're going to do it tough

we gonna do it hard and we we'll do it hard for him.

- Ho Chi Minh City. - Let's go.

I'll let you lead, but let's not waste a lot of time.

The race is definitely harder, you know,

than we thought it would be.

It's survival of the fittest.

We don't even know if we're in Ho Chi Minh City now.

- [Keri] We are in Ho Chi Minh City.

- But we're a team that's built for this kind of stuff.

- [Keri] That's a theater?

- That doesn't look like a theater, come on.

- [Keri] Okay, you lead the way.

- No, I don't know where we are!

You know, really the truth of the matter is we're the lions

and some of these teams are running like a pack of gazelles

or zebras and we're going to take them down.

- [Keri] Lead the way.

- [Lance] There's no puppet thing here.

- [Keri] My help's not working. Go.

- [Lance] Keri, cut it out!

- Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater. Come on.

- Ho Chi Minh City.

- All right. girl, here we go.

- Consult the dragon puppet.

Your next clue will be on the tip of his tongue.

- Let's go left.

- English? - What are you looking for?

[speaking in foreign language]

- That's in Ho Chi Minh, right?

- Yeah. - Not here, not here.

Two hours from there.

- Two hours on the taxi?

Can you call a taxi for us?

- More taxi? We need more. - We have money.

- Make your way to Ho Chi Minh City. Okay, let's do this.

Cab. - Cab.

- Right here, right here, right here.

- [Zev] Ho Chi Minh City.

[Meghan cheering]

- Ho Chi Minh? - Go, go, go.

- Make your way to Ho Chi Minh City.

- Let's go. - Wait for me.

Being in Vietnam is emotional for me, because my father,

General Robert Malloy, he was sh*t down in ' and rescued.

- Are you ready? Let's go. - Yeah, let's go.

After surviving being sh*t at, I'm not sure how he did it.

You know, sheer adrenaline, will and determination.

I've always thought that's what I am made of.

- This sucks. We are screwed.

- [Sam] Calm down.

- [Dan] Taxi, taxi, taxi, taxi.

- Taxi! Ho Chi Minh City.

Go, go, go! - Damn it.

- English? - May I help you guys?

- [Keri] Yeah, where's the Dragon Theater?

- Go to Ho Chi Minh City.

Two hour. - Two hours?

Taxi? - Taxi!

- It's like being dropped on the planet Mars

because we don't know where we were dropped off at.

- Get your whistle and maybe we can call a cab.

- Good idea.

[whistle shrills]

Okay, let's go.

- Where's a taxi?

- [Mika] Taxi, okay, okay. We got to go.

- Sounds like you have to try and charm

the dragon puppet, Mika.

- I'll kiss him.

- [Canaan] Yeah.

- Ho Chi Minh City, wonderful. Cab.

- [Ericka] Ho Chi Minh City.

[bright music]

- [Ron] You look refreshed today.

- I look good and I'm having a good time.

I don't know when I'm going to be back here in Vietnam.

I really want to be experience the place, enjoy the place.

The people are beautiful. They wave and smile.

It really does make one stop and feel emotional

about all the people who d*ed here.

[dramatic suspenseful music]

- [Matt] This is just unreal.

I've never seen so many scooters in my life.

Is just an organized chaos. It's just nuts.

- We just hit bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Now we gotta find the theater.

We're hoping that, you know,

the other teams are having a hard time.

- Yeah, there it is. Water Puppet Theater.

[upbeat music]

Reach on the tongue. Be quick.

Here, you just grab it. Don't worry about it biting you.

- I ain't worried about it. I can't get in the t*nk, though.

- Wait, wait, let me try. - Go ahead, go ahead.

[upbeat music continues]

- It was really tricky.

Those dragons were quick, they were fast,

and you had to have the perfect timing

in order to reach out and grab them.

Right there, you got it, yeah!

[musician vocalizing]

- Oh, that's it. That's it.

It was a b*llet with a stamp in it.

Do we read it?

- [Big Easy] No, there ain't nothing to read.

- [Phil] Teams must figure out they're looking for

the building shown on this postage stamp,

the Ho Chi Minh City Main Post Office.

When they get there, they'll find their next clue.

[upbeat music] - Let's go.

- You know? - This is the post office.

- Where, where? - Ask taxi.

- [Flight Time] Taxi! Post Office?

[upbeat music continues]

- [Gary] Get it!

- I can't reach it.

Come on! Got it.

It's just a stamp.

- [Gary] It's probably a building we need to go to.

- [Matt] Do you know where this building is?

- That is post office.

- [Zev] There's Gary and Matt.

- How far? - It's about one kilometer.

- [Matt] Let's just run it, Dad.

We don't have that much cash.

Let's just run this. - You sure?

- [Matt] What's a kilometer.

We got a kilometer, that's nothing.

[upbeat music continues]

- Hold up. [people cheering]

- Come on, Zev. We got to find it.

Yeah, you know? This way, this way.

Let's go Zev. - Which way?

- [Gary] You see, this is what I meant.

- [Matt] Let's just keep going straight.

- [Gary] We got to look for the building.

- [Matt] Dad, slow down.

[exciting upbeat music]

- Detour.

- Child's play or word play.

- In this Detour, teams have to choose

between the commotion of a noisy city park

or noisy city streets.

Their choice, child's play or word play.

In child's play, teams make their way to this local park

and choose a concrete animal from this kiosk.

They must then transport the heavy and unwieldy animal

along the bumpy pathways of the park,

picking up five balloons from vendors.

When they deliver the balloons and animal

to the children's playground,

they'll receive their next clue.

In word play, teams head to this hotel

and find the observation deck.

Then scanning the crowded intersection below,

they need to identify six Vietnamese letters

moving with the congested traffic.

Once they check with the security guard

that they have the correct six letters,

they'll need to leave the hotel

and get help from the locals to unscrambled the letters

and spell DOCLAP,

the well-known Vietnamese word for independence.

- Child's play. - Child's play.

- [Big Easy] Physically, we know we're strong.

- [Flight Time] Taxi?

- Matt, it's our cabbie.

- Oh, nice. Nice!

- [Both] Post office.

- He said it was one k. k's an easy run.

Turns out it's a little more than k.

So I probably should have listened

to my dad a little bit more.

- [Gary] He should listen to his dad more. [laughs]

[exciting upbeat music] [singers vocalizing]

- It's right here. - Okay.

- I see the animals over here.

That one is nailed to the ground.

It ain't going to move a lot. Come on!

Okay, go slow, hold on to the top of it.

- Stop talking and just pull it!

- Go, easy does it. - It's still a race.

- It's a race, but if it breaks and stuff gets everywhere,

it's gonna take forever for us to pick it up.

What we got first? - Red, red right here.

- [Flight Time] All right, come on.

- [Big Easy] We gonna get blue next.

- [Flight Time] We ain't going out there in front of that.

- [Big Easy] Go ahead, go ahead.

Nobody's gonna hit you, go ahead.

Go ahead. I got you!

- [Flight Time] All right, we together, baby.

- We together. - Come on, help me push it.

Thank you.

- We're going to orange, straight ahead.

- [Cheyne] Let me try.

[upbeat music]

[people cheering]

- [Meghan] This is our clue.

[exciting upbeat music]

- Thank you.

- All right, let's go.

- [Meghan] Will you take us?

- I did good to hide from them.

- You did.

[upbeat music]

- Come on, dragon!

I'm sitting here thinking maybe I just need

to talk to the dragon.

Maybe I just need to give him a little finger

to come over and help me out.

Come on, dragon.

I could have blown him kisses. The puppet didn't care.

- [Sam] Come on, Dan!

[upbeat music continues]

- Lean! Come on, Lance, lean!

Lean, Lance, lean.

- [Sam] Yes, yes! Good job.

[people chattering] - Got it!

[upbeat music continues]

- [Marcy] Lean forward, lean forward! Good job!

- This building on the stamp. We need to know where it is.

- [Bystander] This is the post office.

- Okay. - It's just a b*llet.

Where's the clue? - We have to tell them

we need to go to this place.

- Clue, we need to get a clue.

- You can take a taxi. - Can you tell him

where to go? - Where's the clue?

- Where's the clue? - There is none.

- Taxi! [whistle shrills]

Ron, I got one!

Hey, my whistle worked again, huh?

- How do you know they were at the clue? Did you see them.

- Yes, Lance, don't yell at me.

- Taxi, you guys get another one right now. Follow us.

- [Keri] Where's our clue?

Give it to them, give it to them. Clue?

[exciting dramatic music]

- [faintly speaking] Are behind us.

- Follow them, follow them.

- You have the clue? - No.

- [Keri] Where's the clue? Where's the clue?

- [Lance] I don't know. Where is it?

- I don't know, Lance.

- [Lance] Oh, gosh.

[exciting dramatic music]

- No.

- [Keri] Where's the clue, where's the clue?

- [Lance] I don't know. Where is it?

- I don't know, Lance.

Go inside, go inside.

[exciting dramatic music]

Why look at that. Give it here.

- Inside! There's a stamp in here.

- [Keri] Where are we going to find that?

So why don't we find where this is?

- Do you know? Come on. - Post office.

- Do you have the stamp? - Yeah.

Don't yell at me one more time.

[upbeat music]

- [Canaan] Mika, dance, dance, dance.

Let me try! [people vocalizing]

[exciting dramatic music]

- We're in gridlocked traffic because it's rush hour.

This puts New York, LA traffic to shame.

- [Flight Time] Go get yellow.

- [Flight Time] Go work it, girl, work it!

- [Keri] There it is right here.

- There it is right there. - Right there.

- Child's play or word play?

- We don't know any Vietnamese.

- Child's play. Taxi?

- We'll be back. Let's go, let's go.

- Child's play. - Okay.

- Let's go child's play. - Child's play.

- Taxi? - That's our cab.

- [Cheyne] No, no, no, no! This is our guy.

We paid him to wait. - We paid him to wait.

We paid him to wait!

- Taxi? - I'll go in back.

- Let's go.

- Tao Dan Park. - Let's go, Zev!

- You're good with words. - You're right.

All right, let's do the word play.

- Let's go with words.

- A Dong Hotel?

- Tao Dan Park?, okay?

- [Chon] You go Tao Dan Park? He don't know where it's at.

- Can you come in, get in, get in.

Come on buddy. Okay, what's your name?

- Chon. - Chon?

- Yeah. - Justin. This is Zev.

- [Flight Time] Here sheepy, sheepy.

- We got four we need the green on over here.

- Where's he at? - Right there.

- Here sheepy, sheepy.

- Show down. You're going too fast for me.

- [Big Easy] Okay, okay, my bad. I got you, I got you.

- Sam and Dan are following us?

- Get off and look where they're going.

- [Dan] That way, that way, this way. Yes, yes, yes.

- He was going that way. You need to calm down.

Here's the clue box.

- Detour.

- Child's play. - We'll do child's play.

- We'll help you carry. It's the faster one.

- Get it! Grab it.

[upbeat music] [people cheering]

- Thank you. - Come on!

- This way. This way.

- [Brian] Hey, guys.

- [Canaan] Come on, Mika.

[upbeat music]

- Get it? - Yes.

- Let's go show our cab driver this. Come on.

- Oh, there she is. - That's the last one,

now what? - Give five balloons

to the lady at the playground

and place your animals in one of the available stalls.

Let's go find the lady. Right there.

You push it. Okay, okay.

- [Flight Time] There you go wait, wait. Push it.

- [Big Easy] Let's go, baby. Right there.

- Animals. - Thank you.

We don't want to talk. Let's get the short sheep.

Red. Let's go. - To the left.

- [Cheyne] Come on, red. Thank you.

- [Meghan] Red and then blue.

- That stall right there. - Yeah.

Way to go, baby. Good job.

- [Big Easy] Ow! Make your way to Dien Co .

[exciting dramatic music]

- [Phil] Teams will race to Dien Co

at the busy intersection of Durong Vinh Vien

and Durong Ly Thurong Kiet,

where they'll find their next clue.

- Let's go. - Get a taxi.

Yo, yo, taxi?

- [Keri] Yep, this is it.

- [Lance] Go.

- Where are we going? - There's gotta be a clue box.

- [Mika] Right here.

[exciting upbeat music]

- Let's see what we got.

- [Lance] The clue box is right here! Damn it, Keri!

- Let's do the moving thing. Let's transport.

- Child's play. - Come on.

- Let's do child's play. - Child's play.

- Is this is hotel? - Yeah, this is it.

Word play. You're really good with words.

I'm sorry. [laughs]

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Oh, you're such a pretty sheep.

- Then we have green. - Last one.

- We're the only ones here. - Very good.

- [Ron] Here's the traffic circle.

How many letters do we need?

- Six. - Red letters, right?

There's one on the guy's cart, look?

C. There's another one.

A. - Oh, I see!

- [Ron] A diamond and a dot underneath it.

- [Marcy] Okay, there's a P. I got a P.

I got an O with a hat and a dot.

I got an L.

[exciting dramatic music]

- [Ron] I got another one going around.

O with a strait up-and-down line.

We have six letters.

- [Marcy] A dot O, P, L. I think we've got it.

No. okay, come on.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Justin] Thank you.

- Are we in the right place? - I don't know.

- You know that kiosk?

- Kiosk is up there.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Tiffany] You guys, right here.

The animals. Let's get this one.

It's closest. Right now.

- [Sam] See which one is light, Dan.

- [Dan] This one.

- There's a cow, Dad. - You got it.

- Here, grab the zebra.

- [Justin] I see it, Zev. Zev, dig, let's go, kid.

Bring that dolly over.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Let's do this. - Red first?

- [Justin] Yeah.

- [All] One, two, three.

- Oh, my goodness, make sure it's on, Zev. Hold it.

[exciting dramatic music]

- Dan? - All right, Zev.

- [Zev] We need to find the balloons. Red first.

- Let's cross over there. - It's tipping off.

Wait, stop, stop. - For what?

- [Zev] It's tipping off. It's falling off.

- Thank you. [horns honking]

I need you to push it back. Push it back.

The dolly's broken. - Oh, crap.

- Come on, we gotta get across the street.

- Dan, what's going on? - Go, go, go.

- We need a dolly? - Wait hold it still.

- Dan was super sweet. He came back and tried to help us.

As for much as we love those guys,

we don't want to impede their progress, though,

because they should race and do as awesome as they can.

You don't have to do this. We go back and grab another one.

- You sure? - Go.

Now we just have to get another one dolly.

- We need to get- - Orange, yellow, green.

- Be still, be still.

- The boys are behind us. - Yeah, thank you.

- Come on, one, two, three, push. Okay.

- Help me push. - Watch out.

- Damn it. - Thank you.

- [Justin] Watch out. Grab that, Zev, Zev, Zev!

- [Zev] Ah, oh, my God. This is awful.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Justin] Watch out. Grab that, Zev, Zev, Zev!

- Oh! - Ah!

[exciting dramatic music]

- [Zev] Bad news.

- Come on, please. Zev, come on, buddy!

The giraffe was a mistake.

We could've grabbed any animal,

but we grabbed the biggest, tallest thing

because it was closest to us.

- [Brian] Yeah, come on, babe.

- Oh, yeah. We need to get all this stuff.

It said in the clue that if a piece of your animal breaks

you have to pick it up so you can get your balloon.

- Let's go. Hold on, okay?

[horns honking]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

Thank you. Next one-

- [Zev] Orange!

- I say we do zebra.

- Zebra? We decided to go with the zebra.

It worked really well for us. [faintly speaking]

- Thank you. Kiosk?

[upbeat music]

- [Meghan] Right here, right here.

Move the stone. - Thank you.

Make your way to- - The intersection Dien Co.

- Taxi?

[exciting dramatic music]

You taste deliciously sweaty. - We are sweaty.

- There's the O. So I think it's two lines-

- Oh, yeah, hold on.

And a D, yeah. Whoo!

[exciting dramatic music]

- [Ron] Okay, so now we have to make the word downstairs.

- Ron, take a deep breath. - Yeah. I'm doing fine.

You're the one who seems a little hyped today.

- Easy. Back it up into the stall.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Matt] Find your next clue.

- [Justin] Okay, cab time.

- [Maria] Tiffany, can I go faster?

- Slow down. My legs are burning.

- Stop traffic. [horns Honking]

- Go, go. Take a right, take a right.

- Come on, they're going fast. Let's run.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Lance] Balloon! Go back, go back.

- Thank you. - Orange, babe.

We're doing good, come on.

- Come on, come on. - Lance go.

- Start looking for, Ron?

- I'm looking, let's just talk. I'm listening.

- We're going to gain time by being calm.

Now, we're gonna use the six letters

to spell a specific word in Vietnamese.

- [Ron] I'm just looking trying to

take in everything I see right now.

[Sam and Dan grunting]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- [Sam] Make your way to Dien Co .

- This is really heavy.

The detour was so incredibly tough.

I was gasping for breath like I've never had to gasp before.

- Green next one?

- Every other team has a man to lean on.

And we don't. It's just us.

It's stinking hard.

- [Maria] Come on fast please, Tiffany.

- [Canaan] Animals, animals.

- Slide it up. - We are doing good.

- [Mika] Red balloons are right there.

- We have to go here.

- [Zev] Slow down.

- [Justin] I'm not slowing down for you, Zev. Come on.

- We're doing great. Come on, we're right behind.

We are doing good, baby.

- One, two, three.

- Help.

- Now what?

- We're good? - We're good.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- [Brian] What does the clue say?

- [Ericka] Ask these girls?

- Where's the stall?

- The lady with the stall is right there.

- Here is the balloon lady. - Where?

- [Ericka] Pick it up!

- Put it down. - Thank you so much.

Come on, do it, do it, do it.

- Intersection of Dien . - Taxi!

- Team Zebra. - Team Zebra.

- [Maria] Durong Vinh Vien and and Durong Ly Thurong Kiet.

It will be okay.

[exciting dramatic music]

- [Tiffany] Oh, I might pass out.

- [Keri] We got to look for the balloon lady.

She's not here.

- [Dan] Where's the balloon lady, guys? Please.

- Hurry. - Okay, thank you.

- [Zev] Balloon lady.

- [Justin] Make your way to Dien Co .

- Dude, run!

- [Keri] Where's the balloon lady?

- [Lance] Keri, you know what? Keri, come on.

That is the balloon lady.

Come on! - Who?

- [Lance] The one taking the animals!

- Stop yelling. Stall, get it in the stall.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Find your next clue. - Let's get a taxi.

- It's a heavy SOB, agh!

Thank you. Dien Co .

- We need to get a cab.

- [Canaan] Taxi?

[energetic music]

- Ron? What about up there?

C-O-P-H-A-R-O. No, that's not it.

[energetic music continues]

- [Big Easy] At this intersection? Okay, okay, okay.

Excuse me? Dien Co?

Right here, right here. I see the clue.

- Roadblock. Who's ready for a complete breakdown?

- In Vietnam, almost everything that can be recycled is.

And in this Roadblock,

one person will find out what it's like

to be in the business of breaking down electronics.

Using these tools, each person must break down two VCRs

and toss their part into separate piles.

When all of their VCR parts

have been disassembled and sorted,

they're finished they'll receive their next clue.

- You go.

- All right. - Look at the demonstration.

Watch what they're doing.

- Durong Vinh Vien, baby?

- Yeah, this intersection. - Okay, okay, okay.

- [Meghan] This intersection. Okay, go!

- [Cheyne] Right here. Right here.

- I'm horrible at building.

- I think I will.

- You can seal the thing off.

There you go, there you go.

Hustle, baby, hustle, hustle.

- Got to get the front off.

- Do I look sexy doing this, baby?

[tool whirring]

- Get it off. That's what you do, baby.

I know you can do this.

- Dien Co .

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Matt] There it is, there it is.

- You. - I'll do it.

- Hustle baby, hustle. You got somebody right on it.

[tool whirring]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- I've taken apart VCRs before just by curiosity

of what was inside of them.

I just voom, voom, and went at it.

- Good job, baby. Just keep it up.

All the screws out.

- [Marcy] See if we can figure out what letters hang

with what other letters. - Yeah.

Like I can see what, C-A-P.

I mean, what does that mean?

- [Marcy] O-L-D.

- Old cap. Let's try old cap.

- O-L-D C-A-P. Okay.

[tools whirring]

- [Big Easy] Speed it up. There you go, there you go.

- [Gary] You're being too nice to it.

- [Meghan] You gotta rip, Cheyne, rip.

- [Big Easy] Right here, right here.

Get the next one, get the next one.

- One more. - Hustle, baby, hustle.

- Good job, Cheyne. Keep it up, one more.

- Let's go. Get the next one.

- [Meghan] Keep going, Cheyne. Keep going, Cheyne.

- [Ron] I'm trying to make a Vietnamese word

with these letters.

- Oh, I see.

I understand what you want. - L-O-C?

It's a game.

- What did he say? - Doclap?

- Right. D-O-C-L, doclap?

- [Ron] It's a big word. Everyone knows it.

- Yes. Yes.

- Thank you. Thank you.

- I think that's it.

[tools whirring]

- Take that out! Get it out!

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Cheyne, hurry. - I'm trying.

- Where do I go? - Right here, right here.

- That's it. - Taxi?

- Make your way to the next Pit Stop.

- Teams must race across town

and find the Reunification Palace,

famous for this pivotal moment in history

when a North Vietnamese t*nk crashing

through the palace gates and ended the Vietnam w*r.

This building is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Taxi!

- Globetrotters finished. - Damn.

- [Big Easy] We the first, dawg. We out.

- Is this it? - Yes, that's us.

- [Dan] Oh, there's the Globetrotters,

there's the Globetrotters. - The Reunification Palace,

you know? - No, no.

- Nobody knows?

- Roadblock. I'd rather you do it.

- I'll do it. - I'm going to do it.

- [Ericka] Let's do it, baby.

- Sam, just screw whatever you can.

- I am. Shut up, Dan.

- [Flight Time] Unification Palace?

- [Big Easy] Can't get a hit like this.

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. - Don't let surfer boy

b*at ya. - Unscrewed it, unscrewed it.

All the screws, all the screws. Almost there.

- Come on, Matt. - Cut wires. Cut wires.

You're doing great.

- You done, you done? - Am I done?

Good. Thank you. - Come on, come on.

- [Ericka] Cheyne's done, baby. Come on.

- Reunification Place.

- Yes? Thank you.

- [Gary] Great job, great job.

- Taxi? - Taxi.

- Last team to check in may be eliminated. Let's go!

- [Big Easy] Anybody speak English? Reunification Palace?

- Taxi? - Taxi!

- Flight, let's go.

Let's follow them and b*at them in a footrace, Flight Time.

They're right there.

- Go, go, go!

- Follow that cab. Go, go, go!

Meghan and Cheyne will never b*at us in the footrace.

We'll put some money up with that.

- Oh, dang it. I've got like seven cuts in my finger.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Wa-hoo! - Whoo!

- Make your way to the Dien Co intersection.

[whistle shrills]

- Maria. - I'm sorry.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

I'm not good at playing stuff together.

- Brian, the girls are here. - Who?

- The girls are here. - I'm good.

- I'm just telling you.

- I'm in the mother board now.

- How do I make it go?

[all laughing]

[tool whirring]

I like these power tools. These are badass.

[tools whirring]

- You're good, you're good! - Thank you, thank you!

- Yes, yes, yes, come on. - Knock it out, baby.

Knock it out.

- Make your way to the next Pit Stop.

- Got it. Thank you. - Thank You!

Reunification Palace.

- Taxi right here. - Oh, my God!

- [Dan] Taxi?

Taxi! - There's someone in there.

- Sam, this sucks.

- Dan, stop complaining, please.

- Can we have? - Can we get in?

- [Dan] Go, go, go.

- We're heading to the Pit Stop

so this is crunch time.

- [Flight Time] We're gonna run for it when we get there.

- [Big Easy] We are going to run for it, alright?

- It's going to be touch to outrun them.

- [Cheyne] I think we can b*at them if we get out first.

- They can take second this time.

- [Flight Time] They not gonna take it,

they want first just like we do.

- My dad just passed away.

And that's who I'm playing for so I gotta run hard.

- Be ready to get out fast. I see it, baby, I see it.

- [Meghan] A gate. A gate, a gate, go, go, go.

- My man, my man, right here.

- [Cheyne] Come on, baby, come on, girl.

- [Big Easy] Let's go. Run!

- [Cheyne] Come baby, Let's go.

- Go, go, go! - It's right here!

- [Cheyne] Come on, baby, come on, girl.

- [Flight Time] Go get that money!

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Yeah! - Meghan, come on. Come on.

- Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

- Thank you. - Thank you!

- Flight Time and Big Easy,

you are team number one.

- Damn it! - It's all right.

- That would make you team number two.

- Two. - Two.

- Well, I have some good news for you.

As the winners of this leg of the race,

you have won a trip for two from Travelocity

to gorgeous Aruba.

- Oh! - Never been there before.

- All right, you'll spend five nights

in an ocean front suite at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort.

Where you'll have reserve beach cabana every day

and take the sunset dinner sail,

a snorkel sail, and a jeep safari.

And you can enjoy that after the race.

This has got to feel good.

Three legs of the race, you guys have run in real close.

- I got a feeling we could see more sprints

to the finish with these guys coming up.

- Tough race. - Absolutely.

- We are doing our best.

We ran hard, we ran tough for my father.

He was taken from us too early, but he's here with us.

He was proud of me. Proud of what I've become.

- Get the clues. - I'll do it.

- [Zev] Go.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Maria] Zev and Justin just got here.

- [Tiffany] Okay.

- Whoo! [bystander laughs]

[tool whirring]

- Where's this one go, there?

- Yeah, Tiffany! Yeah!

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Now what? - Okay.

I figured out how to do this now.

- [Zev] Just take it out. Faster!

- [Justin] I'm trying, dude. Ah!

- Thank you, Roadblock. I can do this.

- [Maria] Mika and Canaan just got here.

- Come on, Canaan. Take all the parts out.

- Intersection. Dien Co .

- Back here.

- That's it. Let us out. - Where is it?

Down here he says. - Is this it, sweetie?

- I don't know, you asked him

because you are yelled at too much.

- Please go, honey. - Ask him.

No, 'cause I'm getting yelled at too much.

- Dien Co . That building?

- Down. - That building.

- This way? Let's go.

[triumphant music]

- Gary and Matt? - Yes.

- You're team number three. - Yeah!

- This is at the intersection of this and that.

Huh, I wonder what it is?

- Lead the way, whatever you want.

- Keri, cut it out. - I just don't want

to be responsible because I don't know where we are,

but I'm doing the best I can

and I'm getting yelled at. - I know honey, I know.

- [Keri] I'm pretty much getting done.

So you gotta stop if you want a teammate.

- [Lance] It can't be this far, man.

- [Keri] It can be.

- [Lance] Gonna have to ask again?

- [Keri] You're doing the asking. I can't.

- [Lance] Okay, Keri, thank you. All done with you.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[exciting dramatic music]

Dien Co ? Let's go to this guy up here.

Do you know where this is?

- Dien Co ? - Yes?

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Keri] It's so frustrating running with you

because you act like I know.

- [Lance] I know, we both don't know, honey.

- [Keri] But you're blaming me and we both don't know.

- Honey, you know this is an extreme situation, so let's-

- It's not actually an extreme situation.

We're finding directions and we need to be civil

with one another. - Okay, but you're not

not getting good directions either, so that's why-

- So why are you blaming me? Like I'm what?

The direction queen? - I'm not blaming you.

My frustration is not on you. It's on this whole.

- [Keri] Really, because all you do is yell at me

that's it's all my fault, I'll take my apology now.

- If that's the case, I'm sorry.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[triumphant music]

- Brian and Ericka, you're team number four.

- Yes! Comeback.

- [Ericka] Oh, my God!

- [Brian] Dead last to fourth.

- If you don't have patience in traffic

because you've never lived in Ho Chi Minh City.

- If you don't have patience with the opposite sex,

you should not live on the planet Earth.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Right there. Right there, I see it.

You have to break that stuff down and put it back together.

- Okay, I'll do it. [people cheering]

- Keep going. Thank you.

- Thank you! Reunification Palace.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Sam and Dan, you are team number five.

- Ah! - We'll take it.

- Oh, my gosh.

- Go, honey, go! Break it down.

Throw the parts over here. Good, good!

- Go, go, you're doing fine.

- [Keri] Bang it out. Bang it out.

Come on, baby, almost one down, come on.

- [Zev] Hurry up, they're catching up.

- A couple snags here on the second one.

- [Keri] Hammer it, hammer it. Yeah, going in the next one.

Throw it away, move on to the next one!

Move on to the next one!

- Oh man. - Bang it out,

rip it out, do what you have to.

- With the VCR, I decided I would just shred it

with my hands as opposed to take out each bolt.

That was kind of the man thing to do.

- Bang it out, baby. Smash it!

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- This it? - Yeah.

- Is it ? - Yeah.

- [Ron] Let's go down.

Let's see if we see number eight up there.

- [Keri] Come on, baby, hurry, hurry! Come on!

- [Mika] Okay, I think that's good.

- Okay, okay. Thank you.

Where is it? - Get that taxi, go.

[claps] Whoo! Go, go!

- Use the hammer, use the hammer!

Yeah, yeah! Go, baby, go.

Grab the one behind you. Grab the one behind you.

- Thank you. - Hurry.

- Are we last? - Yes, smash it out.

- Make your way to the next Pit Stop.

- [Keri] Go, go, go! We need a taxi.

- [Zev] Go, come on!

- [Justin] Come on, let's go, let's go.

- Really fast, really fast. Oh, man.

Son of a bitch.

- [Ron] OO right here. I got it.

- Where? - It's right here.

Last one, damn! I guess I should do it?

- [Marcy] Yeah. Good, good, good!

You're handy. That's good, you're doing good.

- I need a taxi. - Quick, quick, right there.

You get it. - Get in the taxi.

- [Lance] How?

- [Keri] Get that.

- This is us. This is us.

- Son of! - Let's go. Fast, please.

- [Keri] There's a taxi right there.

- Fast, please. Fast, please, please fast.

We finish before them and they get the taxi, that's it.

That's bad news.

- Good, good. You're doing good.

[tool whirring] This is looking good. Yeah!

Whoo, yay! We're almost there.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Maria and Tiffany? - Yes.

- You're team number six.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

[tool whirring]

- He's doing good.

When I first met him he told me he was really handy.

He's doing great.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Mika and Canaan? - Yes.

- You're team number seven. - Whoo!

- That's awesome!

[tool whirring]

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Whoo!

- Thank you. Reunification Palace.

The last team. We have to get a cab.

[whistle shrills]

- Go fast, yes, go fast.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Justin] Life or death.

- [Zev] Race, tell him we are on a race.

- We cannot go fast. I told him already.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- Go, go, go, go, fast!

- So many mopeds that we are trying to maneuver around.

- I don't know.

This could be the end of the line for us, but we'll see.

- Oh man, please get us there.

My heart is pounding now. I really want to make it now.

- [Marcy] We are going to make it.

- It comes down to a cab driver.

- Oh stop.

- [Justin] We're going to make a run for it, okay?

- Oh, I'm ready.

- [Justin] Please, sir, please?

- Should we hope for a miracle now?

- Yeah, come on.

- [Ron] So he knows where he's going.

It's going to be really tight.

- Never, never, ever give up.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

Hurry, hurry.

- Here. - In here? Okay.

Come on, baby.

- Bye! Thank you.

Let's go. There they are!

Come on, Zev!

- Which way? - I don't see it inside here.

- Where is it?

- [Ron] Right here.

[exciting dramatic music continues]

- [Justin] Zev! I see it! It's right there, buddy!

- [Zev] Here they are.

- I love you, kid.

[triumphant music]

- Zev and Justin, you are team number eight.

- Yes!

- Lance and Keri, you are still in the race.

You are team number nine.

That was very close. - Thank you, Phil.

- The lion is still alive. The lion is still alive.

- Oh yeah, baby.

- Right now the zebras and gazelles

are b*ating you to the mat.

- They can run fast,

but they're going to wear out soon.

- Would you say you're the most competitive person

on this race?

- Phil, I'll wrestle you right now on the ground.

- I don't want to do that

'cause I can see how strong you are.

- Phil, we'll take them on.

- Let's go. Let's go.

Hi, here we are. - Hello.

- Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

- Thank you. [sighs]

- Marcy and Ron, I'm sorry to tell you,

you are the last team to arrive.

- Ah!

- And you have been eliminated from the race.

- Oh, too bad. - We gave it our best.

- Oh, my God.

- I think you wanted a lot more out of this race.

- You know, I'm disappointed, deeply disappointed.

- But I'm really, really grateful

that I got the opportunity to be here.

My dad was a general in the Air Force.

He was sh*t down in Vietnam

and through his tenacity and determination,

he was rescued.

I just get choked up.

My dad, he used to always say,

You can't hit a home run unless you step up to the plate.

And I think going on "The Amazing Race"

was stepping up to the plate.

[gentle dramatic music]

[gentle dramatic music continues]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on "The Amazing Race."

- I need to put on a costume.

- [Phil] Zev puts on a monkey act.

- I think everyone that knows Zev

would like to see him wear a tail and a mask

pretty much at all times.

- [Phil] And one team breaks the cardinal rule.

- Ah. This is so frustrating.

- Oh, my goodness.

- [Phil] And loses their passports.

- It's pissing me off so much.
