15x06 - This Is Not My Finest Hour

Post by bunniefuu »

- [Phil] Previously on "The Amazing Race,"

brothers Sam and Dan started the race with a strategy.

- We probably won't tell the other teams that we're gay.

We kind of plan on flirting with the girls.

- Poke-a, poke-a, poke-a, poke-a.

[racers laughing]

- You're so cute.

- [Flight Time] Go, Big Easy!

- [Phil] Then, in Dubai, Globetrotter Big Easy

faltered at the roadblock.

- Get in there, get in that briefcase.

Don't get frustrated. Snap that thing open.

- [Phil] Dropping them into last place.

- [Big Easy] It's tore up.

- [Phil] Giving Mika and Canaan a step up.

- [Mika] Good job out there, by the way.

- I know, babe,

I just don't know. - This thing!

- [Phil] At the detour, Brian and Ericka struggled.

- [Ericka] I don't know what to do.

- [Canaan] Hey, don't lose the thing.

- While Meghan and Cheyne slid

to their third first place finish.

[racers whooping]

Meghan and Cheyne, you're team number one.

- Yes! - Whoo!

- I can't do it, Canaan! I don't wanna do it!

- [Phil] And in one of the most dramatic finishes

in race history- - Scared to death.

- [Phil] Mika was crippled by her fear of water.

- [Mika] Stop him! Stop!

- You're gonna make us lose the race

if you don't go down the waterslide.

- [Phil] Allowing the Globetrotters to catch back up.

- [Racer] Don't do it, Mika.

- Go ahead, don't [indistinct] this.

[Big Easy whooping]

- That's how you get it done!

- [Phil] But Mika could not complete the task-

- He's gonna hate me.

- Forcing them out of the race.

I'm sorry to tell you you have been eliminated.

[dramatic music]

Six teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

[dramatic music]

[singers vocalizing]

[dramatic music continues]

[dramatic music continues]

[singers vocalizing]

[music crescendos]

This is the Palm Jumeirah, a manmade island

off the coast of Dubai.

Shaped like a palm tree, it is actually bigger

than football fields and cost

more than $ billion to create.

At the top of the island, Atlantis the Palm.

This impressive luxury resort

was the sixth Pit Stop in a race around the world.

Meghan and Cheyne, who were the first to arrive,

Meghan and Cheyne, team number one,

[Meghan cheering]

will depart at : PM.

- Fly to Amsterdam.

- [Phil] Teams must now fly more than miles

to the city of Amsterdam.

Once there, they'll drive themselves to Afsluitdijk,

-mile causeway that connects North Holland and Friesland.

When they find the Lely Monument,

they'll find their next clue.

- To Amsterdam. [laughs]

Let's just get to the airport first.

- I think our focus is to stay in the front.

That's really the only way we know how to run the race

and that's what we're gonna continue to strive for.

If we have a target on our backs,

there's nothing we can do about it.

- [Meghan] International terminal. Let's go.

[dramatic music]

- [Cheyne] We need to travel

to Amsterdam as fast as possible.

- It's midnight, o'clock.

- Whoo. - Gonna book those.

- The earliest flight leaves at midnight tonight,

so it looks like we will most likely meet up

with all of the teams.

- Fly to Amsterdam. Let's go!

Let's hop in the cab. Airport, please, fast.

- Second place is awesome, but we've learned from poker

it's really, really easy to get comfortable

and get involved in pots that you shouldn't,

but we're not gonna get too comfortable

'cause we know that higher up there's a longer way to fall.

Sam and Dan are probably about a minute behind us.

- Fly to Amsterdam! [Dan whoops]

- Let's go. - Let's go.

- [Dan] Taxi, up here?

Wait, let's just go to airport.

- All right, Amsterdam. Yes!

I have a degree in anthropology.

I studied culture of all my college career.

I'm ready to see the world and travel.

It's what I want to do for the rest of my life,

so this is a great way to do that.

- I'll give it to him.

He is book smart and I'm more street smart.

We need to go to terminal one, please.

- And this guy's flying.

bucks says as we get there

before the girls with this guy.

- Yeah, you're the man. You're the man.

- Fly to Amsterdam. - Woo hoo hoo!

- [Brian] Come on, come on.

- [Ericka] Brian, Brian.

- [Brian] To the airport.

- I don't know if I'm, you know, becoming a nagging wife,

but you know, I do, I yell a lot

and I realize that and I hate it.

But as long as we're able to recognize the onset,

we'll be able to stop it before it gets too out of hand.

Hopefully we have enough of a lead

on that fifth and sixth group that we can make it.

- Yeah.

- Fly to Amsterdam. - [Matt] Oh! Taxi!

- To the airport. We're headed to Amsterdam.

- Before the race, the only time I've been

out of the United States was Canada

for a week of fishing.

- [Gary] Another continent.

- Yeah! Another continent.

[dramatic music]

- Thank you. - Come on.

We need the fastest nonstop flight to Amsterdam.

- [Ticket Agent] We have every night flight o'clock.

[dramatic music]

- [Ericka] Hurry, hurry.

- Come on, babe.

- [Matt] Here we go. Here we go.

- Fly to Amsterdam - Fly to Amsterdam.

- Oh, let's go. - Let's go.

Amsterdam. Here we go.

- [Flight Time] We're going to the airport.

- I definitely know a lot of team want to see us go

and I wouldn't want us there either, you know?

'Cause if come down to a foot race or anything close,

we're a very, very strong team.

Let's go, baby. We back in there.

Guess who's bizzack?

[dramatic music]

- There's everybody.

- What happened with Canaan and Mika?

- Big Easy, give 'em the replay.

- And when we got him to waterfall, she's crying,

she looked back like she was gonna do.

I said it is not worth it. If you scared, don't do it.

I was sad for her though, 'cause she was crying.

I didn't wanna see her cry, you know,

but I didn't wanna go home at the same.

[racers laugh]

[dramatic music]

- We were all sitting there.

It was a really comfortable setting.

So Dan and I decided to come out to the rest of the teams.

Dan and I both really usually like to come out to people

when it feels right at that moment.

- Okay.

- We have an announcement to make.

- We are the token gay people.

[racers laugh]

- Now the matching swimsuits make sense.

- That was our mom's idea, anyway.

The would idea is like

we don't think that we have to present that

like right when we meet someone, you know?

Yeah. And we're like from the Midwest.

So a lot of our family friends don't know.

So it's just kind of - They don't know?

- No. - They know now.

- Gay or straight, it doesn't matter.

They are still the most sweet and adorable

and gentlemanly guys on this race with us.

Who they choose to date,

we could really care less,

even though maybe there's a little teardrop

that it's not us.

- Should I tell Matt's adopted now?

[racers laugh]

[dramatic music]

- [Phil] All teams are now making their way to Amsterdam,

the Netherlands.

[dramatic music]

- Parking one parking one.

- [Meghan] All right, let's go.

- [Dan] Hurry. Hurry. Hurry.

- [Gary] Hurry up. Hurry up. Hurry up.

- Let's do this, Maria.

- [Flight Time] Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.

- [Ericka] Okay. Go, go, go, go.

Drive. - I can't get it.

Damn it. - Hold the bottom part of it.

- Baby, the what? What?

- All these kids aren't used to luxury cars.

- Let's go, bud.

- Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

- Let's go for it. Go, go, go.

- I'm holding it down.

- Are you kidding me right now.

- I'm holding it down.

- Don't get mad at me

'cause you don't know how to work the damn car.

[dramatic music]

- Okay. Just stay on this road?

- Yes, it should take us right to the dam.

- Try it again. And don't be so frantic.

Take a deep breath.

- I got the foot on the brake. It's ridiculous.

- Why are you yelling?

- Excuse me. Can somebody help me put it in drive?

I need to know how to put the car in drive.

Please, please, please.

Foot on the brake and push up. Right?

Does the door have to be closed, you think?

- There you go.

- Okay. Thank you so much.

Oh my gosh.

You have gotta be kidding me. You've got to be kidding me.

- Stop tripping out.

You dictate my mood

and you know I have a shorter fuse than you.

- Calm down, babe. You're good.

- Calm down, babe. Whatever.

- All right.

[dramatic music]

- That's gotta be it.

All right, we gotta park and walk over a bridge, babe.

Okay?

- You do? - Yep.

- Oh there's the monument. There it is.

- That's it right there, baby.

- [Cheyne] You ready?

- Yeah. - Right here.

Slow down. Slow down.

- [Meghan] Run up the thing. Okay?

Let's go.

- Hurry, Sam, hurry.

- Let's go.

- Let's go.

- Let's go, let's go.

[dramatic music]

- Good job. - Way to go, babe.

We're in front.

- [Phil] Teams must now drive

to the city of Groningen,

and make their way to Martinitoren,

the highest building in the city

and search for their next clue.

- Let's go.

- Route info.

- Make your way to the Martinitoren.

- The city of Martinitoren.

- And search for your next clue.

Let's go.

- This a one way road?

- Yeah, you have to go straight.

- What's the thing called, Dan?

- Martinitoren.

- Like martini as in the drink?

- Okay. Hop back on. - Okay.

- [Matt] We have to go one way out.

- [Gary] Follow 'em.

- We did not see Brian and Ericka anywhere though.

- Oh yeah. Huh?

- Brian was having trouble with his Mercedes.

- If we don't know anybody's name on the race,

we know Brian's 'cause we've heard a lot of,

"Brian, Brian."

[dramatic music]

- Hey monuments right here. Fast, fast, fast, come on.

- Brian. - Let's go, babe.

Come on. - Okay. Hold on.

- There it is right there, babe. There it is.

Make your way to the city of Groningen.

[dramatic music]

- Yeah. That's where we're going.

- Oh, I see it. There's parking right here.

- Okay. Let's go. Hurry.

- Park right here.

- Okay, come on. Go, go, go.

- [Meghan] Hurry.

- [Cheyne] Good job, baby.

- Roadblock.

- [Both] Who's got strong legs and keen eyes?

- For over five centuries

the Martinitoren has boasted the best views

of the city of Groningen.

Now teams must climb this impressive structure

in a Roadblock.

Teams must navigate their way up the narrow,

winding staircases and through the maze of doors

inside the tower's two floors,

counting the bells that make up the city's famed carillon.

If they come up with the right answer, ,

the carillon player will give them their next clue.

- I'll do it. - You got it, baby.

- Hurry, hurry, hurry.

Who's got strong legs and a keen eye? That's me.

Meghan, let's do this.

Meghan and I we're like we can knock this out

if we work together, count together.

So we just did it together.

- Let's go. Let's go.

[dramatic music]

This it's very steep.

- Glad I did the StairMaster at home.

- Okay. One. - We're good.

- Okay. - Here's one, two.

- One, two. There's one here, three.

- , , , . And then one over there.

Is that what it was?

Counting the bells was kind of crazy.

There's like really big bells. There were a ton of them.

. .

Okay. Let's keep going up.

- [Meghan] Okay.

- All right. Let's go.

[dramatic music]

- Who's got strong leg and keen eyes? I'll take this one.

- You got it.

- It's gonna be you on this one.

- All right, I'll do it.

- Here we go. Here we go.

Nine, , .

- Holy cow.

- [Both] Who's got strong legs and keen eyes?

- I'm doing it.

- You can do it, Tiffany.

- Count all the bells.

Where am I going?

- Thirteen.

Okay, here we go.

- There it is right there. There it is.

- [Ericka] Beautiful.

- Who's got strong legs and keen eyes?

You do it.

- Count all of the bells in the tower.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

The bell tower was dark and gloomy

and a little bit murky and there were spiderwebs

and it was just a lot going on.

I realized that it wasn't gonna be

as easy as it probably should have been.

- Oh, there's tons more up here.

[dramatic music]

- Oh my Lordy Jesus.

- Start. - All right.

- . - , .

[dramatic music]

Wait, here.

- , .

- And this is, did you do this one already?

[bells chime]

[dramatic music]

Sam.

Sam and I were up at the top,

they started ringing all the bells.

You couldn't hear anything. There's just bells in your ears.

And I couldn't hear what Sam was saying.

He couldn't see, you know what I was saying?

It was very difficult.

[bells continue chiming]

- You hand me the paper.

- ?

- That is correct.

- Thank you.

- Let me hand that to you.

- Thank you.

[bells chime]

- Good job, bud. - Good job, man.

[Matt whoops]

- Teams must now drive themselves

to the town of Virhuizen, De Marne and find this windmill,

where they'll find their next clue.

- You wanna ask somebody?

- Yeah, we're lost.

We need to find our way to here.

- Virhuizen.

[dramatic music]

[bells chime]

- Yes, the number is correct.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Yes, the number is correct. For you.

- Thank you very much. - Yeah.

[Meghan laughs]

- Did you get the number right?

- . - ?

- Yeah.

I whispered the number of bells to Tiffany

as she was running up the stairs.

It was a smart move in my opinion,

'cause they're a team that we can b*at.

- So now I get to find this player guy.

[dramatic music]

- Drive ourselves to the town of-

- Virhuizen De Marne and find the windmill. Let's go.

- Sam told the girls, we gotta go.

- Sam, you told the girls, come on.

- I didn't know, I got nervous.

- Do you guys wanna ask a taxi driver?

- [Dan] That's a great idea.

- [Cheyne] If we paid you, would you drive us?

- [Meghan] We'll follow.

- We'll follow you.

[dramatic music]

- Now, how do we get to the street to get us outta here?

- Go, you pass here across the bridge.

- It's Matt and Gary. It's Matt and Gary.

I'm just glad we're at the front of the pack right now,

because that means we'll go into the Detour first.

- You pass a police station,

there you find a way out of Groningen.

- Okay. - Okay. Thank you.

- Let's go, buddy.

[dramatic music]

[bells chime]

- This is the right number.

- Thank you.

- Take the clue. - Thank you.

- Drive yourselves to the town of Virhuizen De Marne

and find the windmill, come on.

- On, my God.

[bells chime]

- , .

[bells continue chiming]

[dramatic music]

- Yes, and here's your next clue.

- Thank you. - Good luck.

- [Flight Time] All right.

Whoo! - Yeah! Let's go baby.

- No. Oh my gosh.

- Good job, man, I was with you all away.

- Find the windmill.

- Let's go. Come on.

[dramatic music]

- Okay, here we go. Here we go.

Please be the right number.

- Come, on, baby. Don't give up.

[dramatic music]

- No, that's not it.

- Oh my God.

[dramatic music]

[bells chime]

Brian should have done this.

- Globetrotters just pulled out of here.

I know she's close.

She's gotta be close.

I mean every other team have figured this out.

- Okay, one, two.

[upbeat music]

- I think we just got to the town.

- Virhuizen. - Oh yeah.

Good, good, good.

Meghan and Cheyne are right behind us.

- The windmill, right?

- Yeah. And find the windmill.

[dramatic music]

- So we're looking for the windmill at this point.

- Oh there it is. - Good job.

- Here, Detour. Farmer's game or farmer's dance.

- Farm families in the north of Holland have been enjoying

simple country pleasures for generations.

Today teams must choose between two ways

the locals like to unwind after a hard day's work.

Farmer's game or farmer's dance.

In both Detours teams must don

these traditional Dutch costumes and ride bicycles.

In farmer's game, teams must find this creek,

strip down to their farmer's underwear and swim across.

Then using these unique looking clubs,

play three holes of farmer's golf.

Taking turns, teams must finish each hole

in eight or less strokes to receive their next clue.

If they are unable to finish

in the required number of strokes,

they'll have to keep playing until they're up to par.

In farmer's dance, teams must find this country festival

where one team member must ring the bell

on top of the high striker.

Then they'll have to learn a Dutch folk dance,

which they'll have to perform correctly in front of a crowd.

If their instructor is pleased with their work,

they'll reward them with some salted herring and onions.

When they finish the herring,

they'll receive their next clue.

- Let's do the game.

Over here? - Yeah, this it.

- Farmer's game or farmer's dance.

We can do farmer's golf.

- I am not a golfer.

- I can't dance. I can't do dance.

- Okay, and then you'll do your golfing one.

[upbeat music]

- I call the men's outfit.

Yes. [Dan groans]

- Sam was like, "I get the guy,"

and I was like, "All right, I'll get the girl."

All I cared about was b*ating Meghan and Cheyne.

- Oh, you're gonna be so pretty.

[Dan groans]

- Shoes, quickly, quickly. - Hilarious.

- Oh my freaking Lordy. These are big.

- Hilarious.

[dramatic music]

- Detour, a farmer's game or farmer's dance.

- Let's dance. [Gary laughs]

- This is hilarious.

Do the same thing as the boys.

You're not very good at dressing yourself.

- Here you go, dad.

- Is that the girl?

- Yeah. - [laughs] You dog.

- I've been dressed up before with the dress on

and a couple of pranks, Halloween.

Nothing you know, kinky.

- I cannot believe I'm doing this.

[bells chime]

- , , , , , , .

And a total of up here.

I think I might have it.

Okay. Hi again.

[dramatic music]

Okay.

It seems like this should be really easy,

but it's clearly not.

I just don't want to go home on account of bells.

- I feel bad for her, I know she's trying, you know,

she's so competitive, I know she wants it so bad.

She's gotta be close.

[upbeat music]

- Hold on my dress. I gotta get my dress.

- Tultel-too, Tultel-too.

You look so ridiculous right now.

- I know!

- Dude this is so cool.

[Dan yodels]

[upbeat music]

- Let's go.

- This is hilarious.

- I'm worried about golf. Like I'm not a good golfer.

- We get to switch hits and you'll be good.

- You look cute.

- You look cute.

[upbeat music]

- My dress is falling.

- Yeah. All right. Go dad.

Can you keep up?

- Let's go. - I'm going!

Dun and dun dun.

[dramatic music]

- Farmers game or farmers dance.

I think I'm good enough at both.

Just tell me what you're better at.

- I can do either.

- Just do the dance.

[dramatic music]

- [Flight Time] Right up here.

Virhuizen De Marne.

- [Big Easy] Where to windmill at?

- [Flight Time] Keep going, you gonna run right into it.

[bells chime]

- The hell. I'm going crazy.

Why is it going one way, it's going another way?

It's like insane.

- Tour de France, baby, Tour de France.

- Is it right here?

- Farmer's game right here.

- Just drop it.

- Okay.

- Strip down.

Just fast. We don't care.

- It's gonna be cold, dude.

- We're gonna strip down to our underwear,

that was provided- - Our long johns.

- We can jump in. - Just swim?

- Yes. Go, just jump.

- Here we go. There's the boys.

Let's go.

- Oh, it's cold.

- Strip down baby.

Let's go, quickly.

- I'm trying.

[Sam and Dan yell]

[Meghan yells]

- [Cheyne] I think we just go for it.

- Okay.

It's so cold. - Come on.

Stand up.

- Time to play a game, baby.

[dramatic music]

- We gotta go to the hole right there, Dan, come on.

That was a little stick to the shoe on the end of it.

- Yeah, stupid clogs. - Little clogs thing.

- That we got, and you can only get eight sh*ts

and if you didn't make it within eight,

you had start over.

- Watch out.

- Sam, don't do it too hard.

[dramatic music]

Sam, I said not freaking hard.

- I didn't hit it hard, dumbass, quit yelling.

- Think we're just going for it.

- Uh-oh. - It's windy.

I'm sorry. Let's go, let's go.

There's Sam and Dan.

- Try and lift it out.

- Ah.

I freaking don't play golf and I don't,

I'm not good at golf.

- It was tough.

Start again. Let's go.

- This stuff hurts.

- I know.

- Come on, come on, come on.

Good.

- Yes! - Hit it fast.

- Go, six.

- Oh, this is it? - It's right here.

- Yeah. Good.

- Yes. - Yes.

- I was really impressed he got it on the eighth hit.

His golf skills are apparently better than mine.

Put it there. - All right.

- Two more. [Sam grunts]

- Go, go, go.

[bells chime]

- We're gonna finish what we started

and we're gonna finish strong.

[dramatic music]

- Ring the bell.

[bell rings]

- That was a piece of cake. One hit.

I rang the bell.

- Perfect, good job.

Your instructor will teach you to dance.

[upbeat music]

[both laugh]

[dramatic music]

- Oh my gosh. They're humongous.

Oh there's a big spider.

- Why did these things keep falling?

- Maria for once was the man in the relationship

and wore the male costume, which was quite hilarious.

Once you're on, it'll be fine.

Once you're on, it'll be fine.

- These are not easy bikes to ride.

Who are we right now, like who are we?

[bells chime]

- Brian?

[dramatic music]

I'm not giving up, but I cannot figure it out.

- I know, take your time. Hey.

- Can't figure it out.

I swear to God. It's the hardest thing.

- Don't give up.

Take a five minute break and head back in there.

[upbeat music]

- [Sam] Hurry, hurry, hurry, fast, fast, fast.

- [Dan] Seven. You gotta get this.

[cow moos]

[Sam and Dan cheer] - Yes, yes, yes.

- Last one.

- [Meghan] I'm terrible at this.

- You're fine.

Pretend it's baseball, but it's on the ground.

[Meghan groans]

- [Cheyne] Took too many times, must try again.

- I hate golf.

I told Cheyne from the beginning,

absolutely don't wanna do golf,

but can't do anything about it now.

- Six. - sh**t, sh**t, sh**t.

- Seven. - [Both] Eight!

- Thank you. - Thank you very much.

- Teams must now bike through town to Zoutkamp Harbor.

This seaside retreat is the Pit Stop

for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Bicycles, so we have to go back across?

- Yeah. And we came from here.

- [Cheyne] You start.

- Ugh.

Horrible.

Awful.

- [Cheyne] Start again.

- Cheyne, I don't know how we're gonna get this.

It's so frustrating.

- Here, we got it this time, we got it this time.

We need a big tee off baby.

- I'll try my hardest.

- Nice, good job, baby.

We got it.

Get a big three, right here.

Nice. Good job, girl.

It took us a really long time to get the hang of it,

'cause it wasn't regular golf,

but she learned it after the first couple rounds.

Five.

Yes.

- Now I'm ready to go.

- Number two, right there.

- [Dan] I hope that dance wasn't too easy.

- [Sam] Holy crap.

[upbeat music]

[gong bongs]

- Hey dad.

- I just started getting a few, couple of lessons.

- Then I read that you have to eat herring afterwards.

I don't really like fish.

So I was like, "Let's go do golf."

- Let's go do the golf. - Let's golf.

We're doing the golf.

We're not dancers.

[dramatic music]

- Don't giving up.

Throw them on.

[bells chime]

- [Brian] Just don't give up, okay?

- [Ericka] Ugh.

- Give a kiss and go count some bells.

We're not giving up on this baby.

If we gotta stay here all day, we will.

Do not quit until the very end.

[upbeat music]

- Nice. - Yes.

Let's finish off, girl.

Nice baby.

Yes. - Thank you.

- Travel by bicycle to your next Pit Stop.

Hey you did great baby. You picked it up.

[Tiffany yodels]

- Stop it. Not funny.

[cows moo]

- Take turns hitting the High Striker.

Okay, you go first.

It has to reach the top.

[whimsical music]

Do you try now? - Yeah.

- Whoops. Okay.

That's really hard.

- How high does it have to go?

- No, all the way.

- [Maria] Are you serious?

- [Tiffany] Oh my God.

- Farmer's game or farmer dance. Let's go dance, baby.

[dramatic music]

- Not impossible. Everybody else did it, I can do this.

Seven and then there's the downstairs.

Hello, my friend. [laughs]

- You're laughing?

- Might as well.

I've already cried. You just didn't see that part.

[dramatic music]

[carillonneur laughs]

Oh thank you.

- All right. - Thank you.

[bells chime]

- I'm so proud of you, babe.

Come on, we're not done yet.

I'm so proud of her, I really am.

I mean she made my day by not giving up.

- I don't wanna be eliminated.

God, I don't want to be eliminated.

[upbeat music]

- This is it.

Yes! Finally!

- Come on. Phil.

[dramatic triumphant music]

- Welcome to Zoutkamp, the Netherlands.

- [Both] Thank you.

- Thank you very much.

- You guys like dressing up like this?

- No, we're not that kind of gay guys.

- Sam and Dan, your team number one.

[Sam and Dan cheer]

- Yeah. - Finally.

- And I have some good news for you.

- Yes? As the winners

of this leg of the race,

you have won a sand buggy.

- What? - What? Sweet.

- A big sand buggy.

- Finished first place today.

We were very, very excited about this.

Cheyne and Meghan had been first the past two times,

so it was nice to kind of take them off their throne

and get a win for us.

- This is hard to get dressed again.

Here's Gary and Matt.

Did you guys do the dance?

- [Both] No.

- [Cheyne] You could do the golf. You could do it.

- You could do it.

- [Gary] We gotta get undressed here?

- Yeah. - [Gary] We gotta strip down

what? To our underwear.

- Yeah. To our underwear.

- How the hell am I gonna keep these on,

swimming across that river.

- Cool.

[dramatic music]

- We look like some buffoons.

Right, right, right, right, right, right, right.

[attempt counter pings]

- Oh my God.

Get it really good.

- Are you serious?

- Oh my God.

- I can't even get mine up.

- We hit a way at this damned dinger, like no tomorrow.

- Let's just go. Let's just go.

- So we are thinking, "Oh, well hitting some golf balls

could be pretty easy."

[dramatic music]

- Oh, look at the balls.

- Right here's the balls.

First holes that one down there.

What, do you got your three wood there?

Just go.

[cow moos]

We can't let them catch us.

[bell dings]

- Way to go, baby.

- Here we go.

[upbeat music]

- As Globetrotters, we have dance routines, you know,

during the show.

- Me, personally, I mean I love to dance.

I enjoy it.

- [Both] One, two, three, four.

One, two, three, four.

One, two, three, four.

[upbeat music]

- [Meghan] Okay, let's go.

- [Cheyne] This way.

- Meghan and Cheyne, you're not team number one,

but you're team number two.

[Meghan and Cheyne cheer]

- That's okay.

[dramatic music]

- I can't stand the thought of going home right now,

especially with the day we had.

- [Brian] No bell's gonna keep us out, don't worry.

- [Ericka] There it is. Right up there.

- Detour, farmer's game or farmer's dance.

- Farmer's dance.

- [Brian] We'll do the dance.

- [Maria] Good job honey.

Kick with your legs.

- [Tiffany] Freezing cold.

- Good job, babe.

- [groans] God, this wind is dreadful.

- That was eight. - Let's grab the ball.

[cow moos]

Come on. Oh my feet hurts so bad.

- Looking good in your undies.

- Matt and Gary are still here.

- That didn't work. - Okay.

- Don't even try.

- The girls had showed up and they were trying it

and they weren't having any luck.

- This is not regular freaking golf.

- [Matt] There we go.

[whimsical music]

- Let's go. - Okay.

Very cute.

[dramatic music]

Where do we go?

Come, come, come, come, come.

- Babe, my feet are k*lling me.

- Well, yeah, mine are too.

[dramatic music]

- This is not golf.

We don't golf with wooden sticks that look like shoes.

- Nice one, dad. Two more.

We can get this in two.

- My dad is not gonna be proud when he watches this.

- [Matt] Sweet.

- That sucked.

- Yes, eight. On to the next hole.

[Gary and Matt laugh]

- What do you think we should do?

Just keep trying?

- Honey, I can't hit that thing.

And you can't.

So we gotta focus on this.

- Come on. This is freaking nuts.

- Hey. - Let's go.

Come on, y'all.

[upbeat music]

[Big Easy claps]

Turn.

[upbeat music continues]

[Flight Time claps]

- We gonna be getting it.

Once we got it, it was "Soul Train."

Hey. - One, two, three, four.

- Hey. [ Big Easy groans]

- Out, in.

- Come on. - Out, left turn with it.

Whoo! - We pumping up, baby.

- Turn, turn, turn, turn.

- Come on, come on. - Got to give it to 'em.

[crowd cheers]

- Come on.

Right there, baby. - Yeah, baby.

- Thank you, thank you, thank you.

- Now, you have to eat something.

- Okay. [dramatic music]

- Ah. - One, two, three.

[crowd laughs and cheers]

- You okay?

- How do people wear these?

Your hat looks good.

- Oh gosh. How much further?

- We're not gonna be able to do this.

I can tell you that right now.

Look at them.

- Oh, birdie. - Birdie.

[Gary and Matt laugh]

[dramatic music]

- Let's go try to hit the stupid thing.

- I think they're going to the dance.

- Gonna go back and try to hit the dinging thing

and do the dance.

[dramatic music]

[crowd cheers]

- I ate mine in two bites of course. Did you like it?

- I'm not talking about it. - You gonna pass out?

- I'm not talking about that.

- Travel by bicycle to your next Pit Stop.

I don't wanna talk about, get the camera outta my face.

I don't want...

Did you see me getting down though?

Did you see me getting down baby?

- We gotta go.

Excuse me, sir, the Roushound Camp? This way, he said.

- Oh, my gosh. Okay.

[dramatic music]

- Okay, must be common physics.

Okay. That doesn't help.

- I swear I'm gonna fall on my feet.

How much further?

- We can catch him babe. Come on.

[dramatic music]

- Okay. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

- It's k*lling me. - Me too.

- Not as bad. - It's true.

- I did a little bit more than you did today.

- I know, it's k*lling my feet.

[dramatic music]

- Let's just hug it out for a minute.

- [Racer] We can do this.

[Maria and Tiffany sob]

[dramatic music]

- I feel like we can't do any of this.

- I know.

But come on Tiffany, you're my hero.

I've never heard you say you can't do something so.

- My hands hurt.

- I know you can.

That was really, really, really good.

I wish I could do that.

I really wish I knew how you're doing it.

I wish I could help.

- Brian, something's not right.

Read the clue again.

I just feel like this is a bit excessive.

- Oh, you gotta be me.

- What? - Apparently there

were some bikes we were supposed to pick up.

Dang it.

- I knew this was wrong. We were supposed to be on bikes.

It's k*lling me.

- Me too.

- The least you could do is be compassionate.

[dramatic music]

- We still racing.

The Globetrotters are still racing.

- There we go. Parking.

- Here come the fellas, baby.

- Flight Time and Big Easy,

you look ridiculous.

[both laugh]

You a team number three.

[both cheer] - Hey, we'll take it.

- That's what I'm talking about.

[cow moos]

- [Both] Six.

- Seven, eight.

Thank you so much.

- Travel by bikes to the next Pit Stop.

[low dramatic music]

- Damn it.

- If you wanna quit right now, we quit.

- I'm not saying I wanna quit.

I'm just saying my knee hurts.

- I understand. - I'm a little bit agitated.

- My feet hurt. My back hurt.

- I'm not giving you any credit for that.

[low dramatic music]

- Oh my God.

- You have no idea what kind of pain I'm going in.

- I do. - Two hours.

- I do. - Stair stepping.

- I do. - Seriously.

Give me a little bit of time.

[slow dramatic music]

- Hey, I think we're almost there.

Finally.

[suspenseful music]

- What are you thinking?

- Let's just go do the other thing,

'cause I don't know, we've tried this a lot.

Let's go. - Okay.

- We gotta park them here.

- Oh we do? - Yeah.

[dramatic music]

- Gary and Matt, your team number four.

- Four? - Oh man.

- All right, I'll take it.

- We will.

- Come on, momma.

Let's hurry. Let's hurry.

- All right, we gotta bust this out.

Like immediately.

Isn't that one of those things

- I don't know. - Bong.

[Bell dings] [Ericka cheers]

Great job, baby.

- [Brian] We rang the bell.

- And then had us a traditional dance.

- That was good. That was good. That's okay.

- Oh, good job, dude.

- So it's just hard

because we were now back at the golf course,

weaker than we were before,

and even more freezing than we were before.

- [Brian] All right, here we go.

Hit it band.

One, two, three, four, turn two, three, back.

- [Both] One, two, three, four.

- Turn, two, three, back.

[dramatic music]

- Damn it. - It's okay.

Look at the little cows.

- I can do this. I know I can. I can feel it.

- In. Out. And turn your girl around.

- I think the dance was a good choice for us to do

because it just brought us back down to earth.

[upbeat music]

[group claps]

- That was the moment

that I totally fell in love with him again.

Turn, and we're through.

- Yay!

[crowd cheers]

Was it perfect?

- Thank you. - Yes!

- Oh, herring.

- [Crowd Member] No, no, no.

- Oh, yeah?

[crowd cheers]

[dramatic music]

- Damn it.

- Don't try to overthink it.

- It's okay.

- Closest we've gotten so far.

- All right. Got it next time.

[upbeat music]

- I'm almost done.

Wow.

Thank you so much.

- Travel by bicycle to your next Pit Stop.

Are there any bikes?

- I'm gonna ask if we could borrow some.

- There's two right there.

- Excuse me.

Can we borrow two bikes?

We'll bring 'em right back after we're done. I promise you.

Thank you so much.

Hey babe, grab this one.

This guy was very nice to let us use these.

- Yes he was.

- That was good. That was good.

It's okay. It's okay.

- We're getting better.

[Tiffany groans] It's okay.

- Brian Kleinschmidt, I really do love you,

but this was not my finest hour.

- Brian and Ericka, you're the fifth team to arrive.

[dramatic music intensifies]

- Wait. - However,

your clue clearly stated that you were meant to ride

a bicycle to the Detour.

You did not do that.

- Right.

- For that you have incurred a minute penalty.

So you'll need to wait out that time

before I can check you in.

So why don't you go and sit at the bench over there?

Wait out your time.

- [grunts] please.

- We can do this. We can do this.

[suspenseful music]

- Like we could do it, if it wasn't this windy.

[Ericka groans] - Babe, babe, babe.

You gotta stay calm. - I'm sorry. I know.

I'm really nervous. I really wanna stay.

- Just stay calm. - I can't believe.

- Right now there's nothing we can do about it.

- I know. - So just gotta stay calm.

- I know.

[dramatic music]

- Okay, let me see if I can try.

I don't think I have anything else.

I don't feel like my arms are working anymore.

- God, Ugh.

- We were so frantic today and we just,

we wanted to try to finish strong.

Even if we came in last and we were eliminated,

we just don't wanna be eliminated.

[dramatic music]

- Okay, guys, come to the mat.

[dramatic music continues]

Brian and Ericka, you a team number five.

[Ericka sobs]

- [Brian] Way to not quit way, way to not quit.

Way to not quit.

[slow suspenseful music]

- I think I'm done.

- I wouldn't even have made it this far

if it weren't for you.

So I don't like, I'm not gonna tell you what to do.

- [Both] Here comes Phil.

- Maria and Tiffany,

I understand that you want to give up on the race.

- We don't wanna give up on the race,

but we do not foresee that we'll be able

to finish this challenge with this weather.

We are quitting the race.

And as a result we understand will be eliminated.

- We know in our hearts that we've really, really given,

not just this challenge,

but every challenge are all and that's all we can do.

Tiffany's been my hero, this entire race.

And I see her as completely invincible,

but I have to remember that, you know,

at the end of the day, we can only do so much.

[slow mournful music]

[slow mournful music continues]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on "The Amazing Race" teams have a blast

in Stockholm, Sweden,

[bombs explodes]

[Sam and Dan cheer]

And then the race returns

to one of its most unforgettable Roadblocks.

- They did this one season,

and one person did it for eight hours.

- Why on earth would you tell me that right now.

- [Phil] Where teams must endure An Amazing Race Switchback.

- Sam, don't stop. Keep it rolling.

- Shut up.

I am gonna k*ll my brother.

- You alright, baby? - No.

I can't do this anymore.

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music]

[singers vocalizes]

[dramatic music continues]
