Mr. Sparks: The night
was quiet,

the school empty,

and after a busy day
of training

at Hero Elementary,

my students were back
for more!

- Fur Blur, where are you?

[whooshes]
- Fear not!

We shall find you and save you.

- You know she's not really
in trouble, right?

This is basically
hamster hide-and-seek.

- [squeaks]

- Sí, but it's also
great training

for nighttime rescues.

[car horn honks]
Oh, here's the rest

of the class now.

We had to wait for Papi
to get home

so he could drive us.

[cell phone rings]

My dad thought I might
get hungry,

so he made me a little snack.

- Whoa!

What does a big snack
look like?

- You do not want to know.

- [laughs]
Well, we're all here now,

so we can get back
to nighttime rescue training.

So Fur Blur is hiding, and--

[loud beeping noise]

[dramatic music]

- - The Sparkinator.

[gasps]
There must be trouble.

- [squeaks]

- Help!

There's a monster!

- Monster?

There's no such thing
as a monster.

Right?

- That's Mr. Quivers.

He looks really scared.

We've got to help.

- Well, who's the crew
who knows what to do?

[heroic fanfare]

all: Sparks' Crew
to the Rescue!

♪ ♪

Mr. Sparks:
And so my heroic students

raced to Mr. Quivers' house

and discovered a monster
of a mission.

♪ ♪

- I tell you,
it was a monster,

right there in my backyard!

It scared poor little Bitsy.

- [whimpers]

- [squeaks]

- [yips]

- Don't worry, sir.

We're here to help.

- Oh, come here, Bitsy.

- Mr. Quivers, can you describe
exactly what you saw?

- Hmm?

The monster was all gray
and hairy...

- Thought projecting!

- With sharp teeth...

and lots of eyes.

Whoa!

Oh.

Uh, something like that,

but I only saw it
for a moment.

Oh, and it made
weird clicking sounds.

- We'll find out what it was
and take care of it.

- Oh, thank you!
The backyard's that way!

I'll be inside,
protecting Bitsy.

[investigatory jazz music]

- You don't really think

there's a monster back here,
do you?

Lucita: No, Sara,

but Mr. Quivers
must've seen something.

- How can we figure out
what he saw?

- I know!
We can use our...

all: Superpowers of Science!

- Let's start by observing.

Yeah, we can look around to see

what we notice.

Whoa!
Ow.

- [laughs]
Pretty hard to observe

in the dark.

- Not for me.

I brought
my Night Vision Goggles.

- Good idea, AJ.

- But looking isn't
the only way to observe.

We can listen, too.

[clicking noises]

- [gasps]
I hear something.

- Shh, listen.
[clicking noises]

It's that clicking sound

that Mr. Quivers
was talking about.

- Sounds like it's coming
from behind the grill.

- We need more light.

Aha.

♪ ♪

[energetic swing music]

- Ah!

- Got you.

Aww, it's okay, AJ.

It's just a mother opossum
and her babies.

- How do you know?

- I read about opossums
in a book.

I've always wanted to see one.

- And now you've seen...

One, two, three, four,

five, six, seven!

- Why do you think

she's carrying her babies
like that?

- Maybe to keep them safe.

They are pretty small.

Maybe they can't walk
very well yet.

- Yeah, maybe she gives them
a ride,

like how my papi gave us
a ride to school tonight.

[gasps]
She's like an opossum minivan.

[laughter]

- Mr. Quivers will be happy
to hear

there's nothing to worry about.

- [squeaks]

- There's six of them?

- Plus the mother.

- Seven?

Seven monsters!

- No, not monsters.
They're just--

- Well, whatever you call them,
they're after Bitsy!

Just look at her.
She's terrified.

- [whimpers]

- Don't worry, sir.

We'll take care of it.

- Oh, good.
We'll be inside.

- We tried to explain,

but he still thinks
he has a monster problem.

- It isn't a monster,

but it is a problem.

- Yeah, Bitsy's really scared,

and when animals are scared,

sometimes they do bite
or scratch

to protect themselves.

- Oh.

What if Bitsy gets so scared

that she hurts
the mother opossum?

- [gasps]
Or the babies?

- That would be terrible.

- Aww, why'd the mama opossum

have to pick this yard, anyway?

- Good question, Benny.

- There must be something here
that she likes.

to see what we notice.

- [sniffs]

[shudders]

- Speaking of garbage,

Sara: Eww.

Is that really
what opossums eat?

Ugh.

- In that book I read,

it said they're not picky.

In the wild, they eat plants,
fruit, bugs, and snails,

but in the city, they eat
whatever they can find.

AJ: Including dog food.

- Ah, the babies like it, too.

Maybe that's why she's here:

to get food for her babies.

Sara: Aww, just like
my dad does for me.

- Hmm.

If she's here for the food,

I wonder what would happen
if all this food was gone.

- I guess she'd have to leave
to find food somewhere else.

- And she and Bitsy

wouldn't scare each other
anymore.

- So what are you saying?

- I think we're saying
Sparks' Cleanup Crew...

all: To the Rescue!

[energetic music]

♪ ♪

- Time to bubble up.

- And shovel up!

♪ ♪

- [yips]

[whines]

♪ ♪

- [whooshes]
Yes!

♪ ♪

AJ: It's a shame to throw out
all this food.

- Maybe we don't have to.

- Ah, you have an idea?

- What if we took this food

somewhere else,

somewhere that would be safe
for the opossums?

- Yeah, a safe new home.

Maybe they'd follow the food.

- Do you have a place in mind?

- The safest place
in City Town.

Come on!

[upbeat music]

- You wanna bring the opossums
behind the school?

- Why not?

It's nearby,

and nobody will bother
the opossums back here.

♪ ♪

- There is a fruit tree
for food,

and cozy places to hide.

- Ah, esta perfecto.

- But how will the opossums
know to come here?

- Easy.

We'll leave a trail
to help them find it.

- Aha.

♪ ♪

- There,
that's the last of it.

- I hope this works.

- We're about to find out.
Look.

♪ ♪

- Oh, come on, mama!

Follow the trail.

Oh, yeah.
I knew it would work.

- We did it!
They left!

[chittering noise]

- Uh-oh.

Someone missed their ride.

- [gasps]
That baby is left behind.

- Oh, no!

Oh, what do we do?

This is terrible!

- Oh, my, Bitsy.

Those kids need help!

I've got to do something!

[chittering noise]

[opossum clicking]
- Listen!

That baby's making
that clicking sound.

- [clicks, chitters]

- Wait, I hear another sound.

It must be the mother.

They're calling to each other.

[opossum clicking]

Oh, she heard him!

She came back!

Mr. Quivers:
Don't worry, kids!

I'll save you
from that monster!

- [yips]

[yelling and grunting]

[resounding twang]
Oh, my lower back.

- Wait.
There is no monster.

Look.

It's just a mother opossum

and her babies.

- W-w--I saw the--

[sputters]

It had so many eyes.

- I think you saw the mother

carrying her babies
on her back.

- But what's she doing
in my yard?

- Finding food.
You had a lot of food around.

- Yeah, the mother
just wanted the food

for her babies.

[opossum clicking]

- [gasps]
Aww, look.

Together again.

- They'll follow that trail
of food to their new home.

- Fantástico!

- Bye, mama.

Bye, babies.

- Look how she carries
them around, Bitsy.

Isn't that funny?

[chuckles]

- [barks]

[laughter]

- Thanks for your help,
young heroes.

I guess I overreacted
a little.

- No...
you overreacted a lot.

- But you gave us

a great search-and-rescue
training mission.

- Yeah, we got to see
how an amazing animal

looks after her babies!

- And prove that your yard
is completely monster-free.

[loud growl, all start]

- Oh, uh, sorry.

This mission
is making me hungry.

Who's up for a snack?

- [barks]
Benny: Oh!

Me, please!
- I am!

Mr. Sparks:
And so my hero students

took care of the problem,
and all the parents

who take care
of their young ones every day

are heroes, too.

[quiet music]

Mr. Sparks: It was a calm day
in City Town,

but a soapy situation
was about to bubble up

at the Super Duper Store.

- Ooh!

- Oops.
Sorry.

- Oh, that's all right.

I can get this cleaned up
in no time.

Attention, everyone.

We need the Soap-a-roni
in aisle three

for a juice cleanup.

I believe it's apple.
Over.

[jaunty music]

♪ ♪

[robot beeping chaotically]

Ah!

What's wrong with this thing?

[robot whirring]

Hey, that's not nice!

[dramatic music]

[customers quavering]

Come back here, Soap-a-roni!

Whoa!

♪ ♪

[yells]
Whoa!

We need some heroic help.

Mr. Sparks: Meanwhile,
at Hero Elementary,

a training exercise
was making my class

bananas!

[energetic music]

- [laughs]
Fur Blur!

- Come back here, you!

- Remember, class,

your mission is to catch
Fur Blur--uh, I mean,

the Banana Bandit.

She's stolen every banana
in the city.

♪ ♪

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

Oops.
Sorry, Lucita.

- Never fear.
I am faster than fruit.

[dramatic music]

Hey!

Uh, whoa!

Okay, maybe not that fast.

[energetic music]

- Gotcha.

Huh?
Where's she go?

- There she is!

- [gasps]
Lucita, look out!

- Whoa!

- Gotcha!
- Sara, give me a push.

- [whooshes]
- Whoa!

- Oh, too strong!

Too fast!

Whoa!

- [gasps]

- Whoa, whoa, whoa!

[both gasp]

all: Whoa!

- Oh, no!

all: Whoa!

- Well, I love how you each
tried your own thing.

- [squeaks triumphantly]

[loud beeping]
- The Sparkinator!

There must be trouble.

- Come back here,
Soap-a-roni!

Whoa!

- Looks like
the Super Duper Store

has a super soapy problem!

- That worker needs our help.

- Well, who's the crew
who knows what to do?

all: Sparks' Crew
to the Rescue!

♪ ♪

Mr. Sparks:
At the Super Duper Store,

my hero students
prepared to face

their soapiest challenge yet.

[heroic music]

- Don't worry.
The Sparks' Crew is here...

To help!

- Whoa!

[mischievous music]

What's going on
with that machine, sir?

- Oh, the only way to stop
the Soap-a-roni

is to turn its switch off,

but the floor's so slippery,
I can't catch it.

[sedate jazz music]

AJ: I see the switch.

It's on top
of the Soap-a-roni.

- I'll go in, turn it off.

No prob.

Soap-a-roni.

- Sara, wait!

- Aha!
Gotcha.

[energetic music]

Whoa, whoa!

This floor is slippery!

♪ ♪

Lucita:
[straining] Almost!

Alm--

♪ ♪

- It's soapy bubbles
versus my bubbles.

May the mightiest bubble
win.

[Western showdown music]

♪ ♪

- Hey!

- [gasps]
Sorry, AJ.

- [grunts]

No, my backpack!

- It's okay, AJ!

Look, the soap is
just on the outside.

Your gadgets are safe inside.

- Phew.

- We've gotta think
of something else.

- Yes, keep thinking!

Mr. Sparks:
So the Sparks' Crew

did some thinking
in the electronics section,

where TVs were % off
until Saturday.

Wow.

- How are we gonna stop
this thing?

- I don't know.

We should call Mr. Sparks.

- Hola, class.
How's it going?

- Not good.

- Ah, we can't catch up

with that dastardly
disinfector.

others: Huh?

- You know,
that soapy robot thing.

others: Aha.

- The Soap-a-roni
is too fast,

and the floor
is too slippery.

None of our superpowers worked.

- Hmm.

Are there any other powers

you haven't tried yet?

- Oh, yeah.

We can use our...

all: Superpowers of Science!

- Fantástico!

- Okay, let's start
by making a plan.

- Okay, but what kind of plan?

The floor is so slippery.
Mr. Sparks: Hmm.

Is there a way
you can use that to help you?

- Hey, yeah!

Maybe we can slide
across the slippery floor

to get to the Soap-a-roni.

- Forget it.
I do not want to fall again.

- Hmm.
Maybe if we ride in something,

we can slide without falling.

- Ah, I like where this plan
is going.

- Okay, but what can we ride in
that helps us slide?

[gasps]
I got it!

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

- A raft!
Perfect.

Let's go catch
that Soap-a-roni.

♪ ♪

- Okay, Sara.
On the count of three,

give us a super strong push.

One...

I didn't say two or three!

[all yelling]

It's working!

- We're going too fast!

Watch out!

♪ ♪

We changed direction.

♪ ♪

Now we're heading
the wrong way!

- Look out!

- Bubble up!

[bubbling]

Now we're heading
the other wrong way.

- We keep changing directions.

- Gotcha.

- Whew.
- Whew.

- Well, that didn't work,

even though I gave you
the strongest push I could.

- Just like
when you pushed me too fast

on my skates this morning.

- We went too fast and too far,

right past the Soap-a-roni.

- So if a super strong push

made us go too fast
and too far,

maybe a weak push
will make us go slower

and not so far.

- I'm on it.

One really weak push
coming right up.

[quirky music]

- Huh?

- Whoa!

[worker crashes]

- Okay, I think I know
what the problem is.

- My clothes are all wet,
and it feels icky?

- That too,

but we went too slow
that time.

I don't think that push
was strong enough.

- Yeah, and we didn't go
far enough

to catch up to the Soap-a-roni.

[gasps]
I know.

Let's do a super-duper review.

Hmm.
[gasps]

Okay, this is us.

- That's not us.

That's a Branch-Man
limited edition action figure.

- [laughs]
I'm just pretending it's us.

Okay, and pretend this
is the Soap-a-roni.

- Oh.

You're making a model
to show us your idea.

- Right.
Now, at first,

Sara gave us
a really strong push

and we went way too fast.

Zoom!
[toy crashes]

- On it!

- Right past the Soap-a-roni.

Then we kept
bouncing off of things

and changing directions.

Bing, bang, boing!

- I was not a fan
of the bing, bang, boing.

- Then we went too slow

and couldn't catch up
to the Soap-a-roni.

- Aha!

If my strong push
made you go too fast,

and my weak push
made you go too slow,

then what if
I give you a medium push,

kind of in between
strong and weak?

- Oh, that push
might just be strong enough

for us to catch up
to the Soap-a-roni.

- It's a good prediction.

Let's test it out.

[energetic music]

[boat pops]

- That was not a good sound.

- Oh, no!

Branch-Man made a hole
in the raft.

- Branch-Man, how could you?

- Now how will we catch
the Soap-a-roni?

- Without a raft,
I don't know if we can.

- Fear not, for I shall make us
a new raft!

Bubble up!

[dramatic music]

- This is perfect, Benny.

- And just in time.

There goes the Soap-a-roni.

♪ ♪

Sara: It's go time!

One medium push
coming right up!

- It's just the right speed!

We're catching up
to the Soap-a-roni.

Lucita:
You've got this, AJ!

Get ready to turn it off, AJ.

♪ ♪

Now!

[robot powers down]

- Yeah!
- We did it!

- Great idea!
- Ha-ha!

- Oh.

- [gasps]
- Oh.

- How did you manage
to turn it off?

- Well, all we needed
was a medium push

to catch up to the Soap-a-roni.

- Oh, thank you, Sparks' Crew.

You saved the day.

- Whoo-hoo!
- Yes!

[people cheering]

♪ ♪

- [gasps]

- It's okay.

There's still
one more heroic thing

we can do.

Help clean up.

Sparks' Crew, grab a mop!

Mr. Sparks:
