McNally: Previously on "Rookie Blue"...

[g*nsh*t]

1519! Officer down! We got a officer down!

Wes: I heard she got sh*t. Is she okay?

Dov: We don't know yet.

You guys must be pretty close.

You could say that.

She's my wife.

Whatever this is, I don't totally hate it.

Me, neither.

So let's just keep open with each other.

[chuckles] Sounds perfect.

Ford: Collins.

Swarek: Ford! No!

[g*nsh*t]

[panting]

[siren wailing]

Sam, I love you.

5x01 - Blink

[indistinct shouting]

Man: Let's go! Let's go!

[monitors beeping]

Is everything okay?

Fisher: I don't know. There's no time for imaging.

We need to get the bleeding under control first.

It's major surgery. We're doing our best, but he's lost a lot of blood.

And we haven't had any luck tracking down his next of kin.

Man: Make sure the blood is in the O.R.

[breathing shakily]

[indistinct shouting]

Woman: Let's go.

Come on! Let's move it, people!

[siren wailing]

[police radio chatter]

Andy: How much do you want?[/i]

Just anything with blood on it.

Keeping my bra. I don't care.

I'm prepared to defend that decision.

Chris just grabbed whatever was in your locker, so I'm not sure any of it matches.

Well, I'm not sure any of me cares. It's fine.

This morning, I was thinking, "you know, my life's pretty good.

You know, nice boyfriend. No drama.

Just chugging along. No big deal. Walk in the park."

Literally, I was walking in the park with Chloe, and I blinked.

[sirens wailing]

[police radio chatter]

Okay, one more time, let's walk it though.

Okay?

Collins, you're in the parade room with Officer Cruz.

I come through the door. You don't see me.

I'm Kevin Ford, and then I say...

"Collins."

Collins. And Swarek... where was Officer Swarek?

Ford, stop.

And I swivel. One sh*t... bang.

Bang.

And I fall back into the glass. All right.

[indistinct conversations]

Give me a sec, will you?

[clears throat] Detective Peck.

Hey. To evidence, please. Thanks.

You look terrible.

Ah, thank you, Inspector. That's a nice tie.

Eh, I got dressed in the dark. You know, didn't want to wake Jamie.

[laughs]

[chuckles]

Inspector John Jarvis, this is Detective Traci Nash.

It's nice to meet you. I wish the circumstances were different.

Were you guys around for this circus?

No.

No.

Good. You can work it.

Yeah...

Where's Officer Collins?

He should be here any minute.

Good, 'cause S.I.U. needs a statement.

Okay.

All right.

[police radio chatter]

I wonder how he's feeling.

It was... it was a clean sh**t, John.

No, I mean about Swarek.

You know, balloons, bottle of whiskey, you know.

It's hard to know what to get a guy took a b*llet for you, huh?

[monitor beeping]

[whispers] Now, Chloe, this is... this is good. This is good, okay?

The surgery went better than they hoped.

Yeah, except for the fact that I now have a blood clot that could k*ll me.

Just rest.

Hey, doc says it might go away on its own.

Listen. Why didn't they take it out?

It would have involved another surgery.

Your parents... they're not back yet.

Someone had to make the call.

And that's what you decided... to leave it in there inside of me like s-some sort of... ticking time b*mb, Frank?

I didn't decide. Your husband did.

Sorry.

Yeah. Wes is here.

What? Is... Where is where is Dov?

He's here, too. They're both waiting outside.

[sighs]

[telephone rings]

[man coughing]

[button clicks]

[indistinct conversations]

[chuckles]

Just so you know, Chloe hates roses.

Just saying. She thinks they're predictable.

Oh, yeah? She like bears... cheap, little bears made in China?

[elevator bell dings] "Get well soon." She like that?

[sighs] It's 3:00 A.M., man. Not a whole lot of choice.

Hence, the roses.

Fair enough.

[buzzer]

Any news?

Oliver's sleeping. Sam just went in to surgery.

What about Chloe?

She's awake.

Well, can I see her?

Dov, she's asked for her... to spend a little time with Wes.

[sighs]

Dov, I don't know what's going with that girl.

I love her like my own daughter, but why she ever married that man is beyond my comprehension.

And if you ever quote me on that, you'll be working desk until I retire.

You know, uh, I got to get out of here, just for a few minutes. I need some air.

Yeah, yeah, go ahead.

Go get something to eat. Both of you.

I'm not hungry.

That's an order, McNally. There's a diner down the street.

Be back in 20. Anything happens, they will call you.

Hey, trust me. Grilled cheese, a couple of Irish floats it'll save your life.

All right.

[horn honks]

Okay, "Irish float"? I don't even know what that is.

Well, it sounds disgusting.

I don't care, though. I'm too tired to make a decision.

Well, at least you got a decision to make.

Oh, yeah? What's that?

Andy, she's married.

My amazing, beautiful, hilarious girlfriend just got sh*t, and she's married to another man.

I know. It doesn't make any sense, which means you have to hear her out.

There's got to be an explanation.

Either way, I mean, there's no contest.

The guy was holding a stupid bear.

Yeah, which she probably likes.

Chloe Price, open book.

Enjoys, you know, long walks on the beach, cheap toys, and getting married and not telling anybody about it.

Okay.

Can I help you?

Uh, yeah. We'll get two grilled cheese, side of fries, and, uh, two Irish floats. Thanks.

[both sigh]

Okay, man, we've been up for 22 hours.

Okay? Let's just get something to eat. And then we'll go back and figure it out.

[sighs]

Hey. [sighs]

You hungry?

Uh, nope. Only want alcohol.

Uh, it's... it's up there.

But why don't you eat something first?

Oh. Yeah, okay... if it's got alcohol in it.

You okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.

It's not like I'm the one who got sh*t. [sniffs]

Maybe we shouldn't have left the hospital.

Holly, there are 30 other cops waiting around.

There's really no point in me being there.

No one's looking for my shoulder to cry on.

Gail...

Mm.

[gulps, sighs]

You know what, though?

We could go back as the big gay distraction.

Yeah, let's... let's give people something to talk about.

I mean, now that I've come out to my brother, that juicy bit of news is just gonna spread like herpes.

There's no going back now, girlfriend.

There ain't no going back.

Um, could we get a couple glasses for these, please?

Nope.

[slurps]

Mnh!

[slurps]

Will Wonders never cease.

Hell... what is that, Scotch?

Irish whiskey, vanilla ice cream... a strangely elegant combination. [door opens]

[siren wails in distance]

[door closes]

Rough night?

Not as rough as ours. Not that I'm comparing.

It's okay. You can compare.

It's fine. I'm fine.

Please, four ginger ales.

You catch that?

Mm-hmm, pancakes, macaroni-and-cheese balls, three eggs, and four ginger ales. So?

How high you got to be to want to eat that?

Mnh-mnh. You need to let this go right now.

Dov, I'm serious. I don't feel like being a cop tonight.

Let it go.

You got an E.T.A. on Collins?

Haven't been able to reach him.

Find him.

The last thing this division needs tonight is another problem.

Inspector, there is no problem. Collins will be here.

Good, 'cause S.I.U.'s waiting to clear him.

It's protocol. It's very simple.

You don't sh**t a guy, leave, and then not come back, right?

If I were your boss, I'd tell you that you have half an hour to get him in here.

And are you?

Am I what?

My boss.

Huh. That's a funny question.

Right.

[cellphone ringing]

I wonder what else she didn't tell me.

Hey, maybe if I'd been there when she got sh*t, she would have told me about Wes, but...

Dov, I was with her.

The only thing she said was to tell you not to worry.

In fact, you're the only person that she brought up.

What about Swarek? You were with him in the ambulance, right?

Yep.

Did he say anything?

No. Not really.

I mean, I-I might have said a couple things.

Oh, yeah?

Yeah.

Like what?

Just girly, gushy stuff.

You probably don't wanna know.

Such as?

Like, "I love you."

Mm-hmm.

Oh. S...[inhales deeply]

Uh, okay. Uh...

What about Nick? I mean, did... are...

We're great.

Yeah?

Yep, happy and, uh... I'm happy.

It's just... I don't know, Dov.

Okay? I'm... I'm... I'm sitting there, and I'm watching Sam bleed, okay?

And... and I'm... I'm just slammed right back into how I used to feel.

I'm in the ambulance, and I... I can't help but feel like if he dies, then I will, too.

Courtney: [sighs] I'm so thirsty.

So, yes, I said, "I love you."

Check it out.

They're not eating.

Of course they're not eating.

They're high as bananas.

"Bananas"?

Really? You're not gonna give me a pass? I'm a bit tired.

Zach: Uh, hey... hey, could I get another side of these pancakes, uh, and some fries?

Yeah? You haven't eat anything I brought you. - So?

So...

I'm out. I'm not dealing with this.

And... in the spirit of not wanting to be a cop tonight, I got this.

He asked you for pancakes.

Okay, you know what?

Is he gonna pay for this?

Are you the waitress?

Yeah.

Did you take his order?

You gonna get him some pancakes now?

Whoa. Whoa, guys.

Whoa.

a top-down catastrophe of conflicting loyalties, poor communication, and weak leadership, resulting in multiple injuries and at least one death.

And while I have a strong feeling that Detective Swarek may be at the heart of it all... with holding information, bipolar girlfriend now under S.I.U. investigation...
