Beauty & the Beast...

Someone's got you hunting beasts.

Vincent only has two missions left.

That's not a good thing?

The last mission could very well be Vincent.

Reynolds: He's alive.

Vincent: What's my next move?

We should have Thanksgiving dinner with my father.

What?

He already admitted to knowing about Muirfield.

Whoever's after Vincent, they want to exterminate all beasts.

That's because they're dangerous.

Tori, this is Detective Chandler's boyfriend, Vincent.

I know that she has some sort of effect on you.

Tori: I told you we shouldn't have come here.

Tori, are you okay?

(bellowing)

There are two of them now.

Just get up here; I told you my driver would be fast.

She's going into the city.

Now, I promise, your secret's safe with me.

I can't verify it's your handler, but according to the documents Gabe brought up, which apparently includes a new target...

Tori.

Do you hear that?

Church bells, right?

He could live by a church.

That call with his handler, JT and Tess heard church bells in the background.

(bells tolling)

(Tori grunting anxiously)

(device beeping)

(whimpering)

Tori... listen to me, okay?

Whoever did this knows me, they know what I can do.

More importantly, they know what I can't do.

And I cannot step off this pad free you, and get us out of here before this place blows.

Not without your help.

The only chance we have is if these people didn't know what we can't do together.

(whimpering)

How you... help me.

Tori, look at me.

Listen, listen.

Now don't look away, okay?

Now, I need you to stop being afraid and start getting pissed at what they're doing to us, what they want, and they want to k*ll us.

We're not gonna let them, are we?

(growls)

We are gonna hunt them down, we are gonna find them, and we are gonna stop them, and we are gonna k*ll them.

(roars)

(engine revving)

(tires squealing)

Catherine, can you please slow down?

You can't save Vincent if you get yourself k*lled.

Don't worry about me; just keep up.

It's not just Vincent we need to worry about, either.

It's Tori also.

We don't even know where she is, either.

Now that Reynolds knows she's a beast...

He might be after her, too.

We got to get back to the city fast.

Hang on; it's Tess.

Where's Cat?

I'm following her.

We're heading to Vincent's house, but why?

All right, we just got word of an expl*si*n at Tori's penthouse.

What?

Do you have any idea where Tori is?

No.

Do you have any idea where Vincent is?

No, but what are the chances the expl*si*n was an accident?

I'll meet you there in an hour.

All right.

Catherine, you still there?

Yeah, what did Tess want?

(sirens wailing)

Cat, no, no.

No what? Talk to me.

Look, the arson investigators don't know enough yet.

Okay, what do they know?

They know that if anybody was inside...

No, Vincent could've gotten out.

Except Reynolds knew what his powers were, Catherine, and if it was a trap...

You mean what his powers are.

Maybe he's at the houseboat.

No, he's not, all right?

I checked.

And he's not with JT either.

If Gabe's right, and this was a trap, he would've been inside.

I really... I'm sorry.

You can't tell me that he's dead.

I don't believe it.

I won't believe it; it can't end this way.

All right, listen, you're right.

We don't even know if they were in there for sure, so let's wait until we do know.

Either way, we need to focus on getting your father and making him pay for everything he's done.

Vincent, Muirfield, beast hits, everything.

And we can't do that without you, because we need your help to figure out how to bring him down and fast, before he bolts, which you know he will do, especially if he thinks he succeeded.

So go home, take a shower, take a minute, and then come back and meet us at the precinct, okay?

Okay.

(phone rings)

I'm listening.

Both the targets have been eliminated.

Do you have proof?

Proof?

They were vaporized.

The proof is telling you that the job is done.

You said that last time, and it wasn't done.

Yeah, because last time you gave me the wrong intel on Vincent.

Okay, let's just say that this time, I overcorrected.

Now pay me.

Or the next place I rig is gonna be yours.

(wind whistling)

Vincent.

Oh, God, thank God you're okay.

(crying)

I thought you were dead.

Not yet.

Um...

My father...

I know; I figured it out, and I will deal with him, but first we need to help her.

Is she goona be ok?

Yeah, I think so.

She just got knocked unconscious.

You know, that was a pretty big expl*si*n.

We were lucky to get out of there at all.

How did you get out?

(sighs)

It was Tori.

I... I don't know.

It's like she amplified my power, you know?

I was stronger, I was faster.

Everything happened at the same time.

She broke the chains, I got to her, I got out the window just before the blast.

Obviously Reynolds didn't count on Tori and I working together, huh?

Listen, Cat, I hope you don't mind me bringing her.

I just... I-I didn't know where else to go, you know?

But based on the way that you and I last...

Look, obviously, we have a lot to talk about, including the kiss, but I-I think that our fight had more to do with my father than us.

Come on, it wasn't your fault.

You had no idea he was behind this; none of us did.

But now that I know, I'm gonna k*ll him.

V-Vincent, where are you going?

You-you can't do that.

Why not?

Because-because you can't.

It's wrong.

Wrong?

Catherine, he brainwashed me, he took away my life, my memories, then he made me k*ll for him, and when he was done with me, he tried to k*ll me, so I'm not giving him another chance.

I know that he is a terrible man, and he has only done terrible things to you, but-but he's not a beast.

He's a human being, and you can't just k*ll somebody in cold blood.

You can't cross that line again, otherwise...

Otherwise what?

Otherwise, you lose your humanity.

You are lost to everything we have fought so hard to keep you from becoming.

If you cross that line, there's no turning back for you or for us.

So there is still an us.

I hope so.

I want there to be.

But there can't be if you choose to do this, because I can't be with someone who ever would.

That's a line that I can't cross, not as a cop or as a person.

I can't just let him get away with it.

He won't.

We will find a way, I promise.

In fact, Gabe is working on a plan right now, and I am going to go meet him at the precinct.

I'm gonna change and go.

Just take care of Tori.

Vincent, trust me.

My father is going to jail.

One way or the other.

Okay.

She's sleeping on your couch?

Recuperating on my couch.

Do not be jealous of her.

I'm not jealous.

I just don't like what Tori does to Vincent, how she affects him.

It's like ever since she came into his life, he's gone farther and farther to his beast side.

Okay, one beast at a time.

First we'll deal with your father, then little Miss Glowy Eyes.

Here, drink this.

Don't you have anything a little stronger?

(chuckles)

(exhales)

You know, we took a pretty hard fall.

We're lucky to be alive.

(sighs)

Thanks to you.

Well, actually, thanks to the both of us.

You know I couldn't have done it without you.

I don't understand.

Why did he want to k*ll me?

What did I do?

Tori, you didn't do anything.

Okay, Reynolds believes that it's his job to eliminate... people like us.

Why?

Long story.

The short of it is he believes that we, well, might just be like your father.

Who's gonna stop him from trying again?

I mean, it's not like we can go to the police for justice, right?

Catherine is the police, and she's going after him as we speak.

Right.

So she's going after her father?

Let's just let it play out.

I'll get you some ice.

(knocking on door)

Come in!

I thought it'd be easier to coordinate from my place, since Reynolds has already compromised my office computer.

Sit.

No thanks.

Let's just get started.

Okay, I've got a plan, but to be honest, it is a bit of a long sh*t.

We're gonna try and get your father to incriminate himself.

What? This-this is the plan?

You want to get my father, who's been five steps ahead of us this entire time to suddenly confess?

I can't believe this.

I promised Vincent that we would bust him.

And we will.

How?

First, Reynolds needs to believe that Vincent and Tori really are dead, so we can get him to think that someone is blackmailing him with evidence that links him to all of the beast killings.

Wait, is there evidence that links him to the killings?

We didn't think so at first, but we might be onto something.

Tess?

Okay, what's the first thing you examine when investigating a m*rder?

The crime scene.

All right.

What's the second thing you examine?

Body.

Right.

So we did a search of every one of the bodies that was admitted to the medical examiner's office.

Guess what we found?

Bodies?

Actually, no.

Sebastian Clifton, Zachary Hayes, Eddie Long, three of the beasts that Vincent k*lled.

Each one was admitted, but they all suspiciously bypassed autopsies and went straight to the crematorium.

Reynolds was worried about someone finding them.

And if he's willing to risk everything to make those bodies disappear, maybe all we have to do is find one of them and use it to rattle him.

But I thought that you said the bodies were cremated.

Not necessarily.

Yeah.

New York has a three-week backlog of John Does.

There's a chance one of these bodies is still at play.

Okay, but who's blackmailing Reynolds?

We are. Problem is we need him to think someone with real evidence is.

Someone who legitimately knows enough to harm him, beyond bodies.

Uh, what about the man who kidnapped Tori?

(phone ringing)

The one who rigged the b*mb?

Sure, that'd be great.

We don't know who he is.

What if Vincent tracked him.

He's done it before.

Well, if he can, he'd better hurry.

Reynolds just booked a flight to Geneva.

Which means unless we find someone to blackmail him before tomorrow, it's over.

We lose Reynolds.

And I lose Vincent because he will k*ll him.

That's it?

That's your plan?

Basically, yeah.

Why would Reynolds incriminate himself, especially with the body that I k*lled?

Well, we're not trying to build a case that we can try in court.

We don't have the evidence for that.

Obviously.

We're hoping we can scare my father into thinking that we do.

Or rather, into thinking that his accomplice does.

Someone that Reynolds might think has a lot of incriminating evidence against him.

And, uh, to get this body, you guys want me to walk into the M.E.'s office and steal it?

Gabe: You won't be stealing it, JT, okay?

You're a professor, just say that you need a cadaver for an upcoming study.

And don't worry, Tess will be there with you the whole time.

Perfect.

Anyway, it looks like our best option is Zach's body, because there's still a good chance that he's among the John Does waiting to be cremated.

Dare I ask how you actually k*lled Zach?

It might help us narrow down the search.

I broke his neck.

I twisted it right around.

Lovely, okay.

So, we'll just look for that.

While you look for the man who kidnapped Tori.

Can you do that?

Not without Tori.

He took her to her apartment.

She saw him rig the expl*sives.

Does Tori even know how to track?

I'll teach her.

Sorry, just to be clear.

Without the accomplice alive, this plan doesn't work.

No, no, no, I just need you to keep your eye on the place 'cause I-I won't be back in town until...

(cell phone ringing)

Well, hold-hold on.

Agent Reynolds.

(digitally altered voice): Check your encrypted email.

Who is this?

(dial tone drones)

You okay?

I still can't believe that he tried to k*ll me.

Us.

What type of a person thinks that he can get away with that?

Reynolds isn't just FBI.

He was the main player in Muirfield.

So he thinks he can get away with anything.

But he won't.

All right.

How do I do this?

Close your eyes.

Trust me.

Now focus on your inner beast senses.

I don't know what that means.

Don't worry.

It'll come to you.

Just concentrate.

Focus.

Smell.

Sound.

Movement.

Vibration.

Become one with your surroundings.

And when you see him... open your eyes.

See who?

The accomplice, the man that brought you here.

But he's not here.

Of course he is.

He never left.

You just have to find him.

Close your eyes.

Concentrate.

Sound.

Smell.

Movement.

Vibration.

I see him.

Vincent: Good.

Whoa.

Tell me what you see, what you smell.

He's got a small cut.

He's bleeding.

He smells like his work.

Like his bombs.

It's all over him, it's... it's overwhelming.

That was amazing.

I had no idea.

What's next?

Next.

We track him down.

Uh, that's not him.

What Professor Forbes means is it's not the right subject for the study.

I thought you said your study was about neck injuries.

Yeah, but we're looking for something more... twisted... type.

Mind if we keep browsing?

Okay.

Browsing?

We're not at a bookstore.

Just try to be a little cool, okay?

Is that what the problem is?

I'm not cool enough for you?

What are you talking about?

Nope, next.

We actually need a male for this study.

I'm sorry to be so picky.

Of course.

Did you not get my text?

Yes, I got your text-- all 11 of them.

Well, were you ever planning on responding?

JT, now is not the time and certainly not the place to be having this conversation, okay?

Okay, fine.

And besides, just because it happened once, doesn't mean it has to happen again.

I thought you just said this wasn't the time or place.

'Cause it seems like we're having the conversation.

We're not. Let's just find Zach, okay?

Fine.

Whoa, bingo, that's him!

I mean, uh, that's a good one.

Broken neck-wise.

Uh, solid injury there.

We'll take him.

It.

What?
Okay, look, I am telling you this will work.

I used it to bust a perp once who was pretending to be a victim using it.

Menthol ointment?

Just put a little on your fingers and pretend to dab your eyes.

I promise you, you will tear up.

I am so angry with my father right now, I am not sure anything will work.

Just remember what we're trying to do here.

Play on his emotions, make him worry that someone is closing in on him.

So kicking him in the face is out?

Yeah.

(knocking)

Not now!

Dad?

Catherine, I wasn't expecting you.

Sorry, my idea.

Spur of the moment thing.

Lowan.

What's going on?

Uh, Gabe's gonna help me with Vincent.

Thought maybe we could join forces.

See if we can figure out who Vincent's handler is together.

Yeah. Please, sit.

Well, have you found anything?

Well, actually, maybe.

We got an anonymous tip around noon today.

A tip, really? About?

Well, it was kind of cryptic, but someone else apparently knows about the beast killings.

Or at least that's what I took from the call. You?

No, definitely, I just don't...

I don't know why they called us.

They didn't give us any new information.

Did you recognize the voice?

Digitized.

But it seemed credible because whoever it was told us to check-in with the M.E.'s office and sure enough.

All of the beast bodies had admitted there.

But one of them has gone missing.

Missing?

Zachary Hayes, remember him?

He's the guy who att*cked Catherine at her reunion a couple of weeks ago?

Well, what about him?

(crying): He's, um... it's one of Vincent's friends.

Muirfield apparently experimented on him, too.

That's probably why the Handler had him k*lled.

But why would he suddenly take the body out of the morgue?

And why call the cops?

Unless it wasn't the Handler.

Interesting.

Do you think maybe he had an accomplice?

He could be using Zach's body to blackmail the Handler, maybe called us to make the Handler think that he'd turn him in if he didn't pay.

What do you think?

I think, uh...

It makes sense.

Which means if we can find the accomplice first, we can try and get him to turn the Handler in anyway.

Meanwhile, we'll follow up with the M.E.'s Office, and see if we can track him down from there.

Keep me posted.

I don't know what I'd do without you.

That's not possible.

You're supposed to be dead, man.

I'm hard to k*ll.

Don't move.

Don't move.

I said don't move!

I don't know how you got out of there, all right?

But either I'm walking away from this, or neither of us are.

You know I'll find you again.

Maybe... maybe not.

I'll take my chances.

(snarls)

No!

(roars)

What have you done?

We needed him alive.

We needed him alive!

Well, that's that.

Uh, Katherine.

She didn't have a choice, okay?

She had to do it.

What, now you're defending it?

No, but he had a b*mb on him, he had his finger on the detonator.

But Tori got to him before the b*mb went off.

Couldn't she have done that without k*lling him?

I'm sorry.

Oh, you're sorry.

Great.

I didn't mean to, it just... happened.

But you did do it, and now our only chance of getting my father to confess is dead.

So what?

It was a stupid plan anyway.

Excuse me?

Tori...

No, it was, you said so yourself.

I also said it was our best chance.

Right.

To save her father.

The man who tried to blow us up.

Gabe: Exactly, Tori.

We don't just k*ll people out of revenge, we arrest them.

It's called the law.

Well, the law kind of sucks.

Especially when people like her father get away with almost trying to k*ll us.

That isn't right, either, is it?

No, but...

Okay, wait.

You just want to take the law into your own hands?

Decide for yourself who's innocent or guilty, who lives or dies?

Is this what you feel, too?

Is this what you taught her?

Of course not, but...

But what, Vincent?

Are you seriously okay with this?

I don't want Reynolds to get away with it, either, okay?

You know he will find a way.

So, wait, now you want to k*ll him, too?

I want justice.

So do we.

But you can't give it to us. We can.

Catherine: Don't you see?

This is what we were talking about.

This is exactly the line that you can't cross.

If you do, everything is lost, Vincent, everything.

He didn't try to k*ll you.

It doesn't matter.

You can't do this, no matter what.

It's the only thing that separates good from bad, us from...

Beasts?

Like me?

Like Vincent?

Do you agree with this?

I don't know.

Tori: Easy for her to take the moral high ground when all she cares about is saving her father's ass.

Tori, it's not just about that, okay?

Bunch of sanctimonious crap... how dare she lecture us?

She's acting like we're the bad guys.

We didn't do anything wrong.

We were the ones who were wronged.

By somebody who's been-been using you, hurting you, for months.

Yeah, believe me, I know.

So what are you gonna do about it?

Vincent, why are you fighting this?

Fighting what?

Fighting who you really are, inside.

Catherine's right.

You have to choose who you want to be, not based on the past, but on the future.

And the only way to do that is to stop fighting your inner nature, our inner nature.

Look at me.

You saved me, Vincent.

You opened my eyes to a world that I could have never imagined.

You showed me what I was born to be, and because of that, I...

I feel free for the first time in my life.

Let me return the favor.

Let me help you feel what I feel.

Let's take care of Reynolds... together, so that he can never hurt us again.

Well, this sucks.

Yeah, just like the last year and a half of my life.

You don't mean that.

Don't I?

Okay.

Maybe I don't.

But... remember when I said I felt like I was losing Vincent?

There's still a chance to save him.

I mean, if we can bring down Reynolds before he...

No, it's... it's too late, he already made his choice.

Maybe I've been kidding myself this entire time.

Maybe... maybe love really is blind.

Tori's right.

Vincent's more like her than me, which means... maybe I never really could change him.

Maybe he didn't want to change.

Now you're just letting her get in your head.

Or... maybe it's time to let go.

Stop fighting.

Stop trying to save someone who can't save himself.

Or won't.

Guys, we have an idea.

New plan?

Same plan, slight adjustment.

Vincent got the Bombmaker's phone.

So?

Gabe: So... we can still use it to thr*aten Reynolds with blackmail.

But the Bombmaker's dead.

Well, Reynolds doesn't know that.

So we just contact Reynolds, make him think that the Bombmaker wants to meet and then get him to confess.

Confess to who?

To me.

I will convince Reynolds that I got to the Bombmaker first and that I'm the one who's blackmailing him.

He won't be surprised.

He knows I've been on his trail.

Nice save, huh?

Actually, it was mostly my idea.

No way.

Sorry?

No way.

It's too dangerous.

I'm not gonna let you do it.

But it's the only way you can bring down your father and save Vincent before he kills him.

Yeah, and risk losing you in the process?

If my father figures out why you're really doing this, he will k*ll you.

Catherine...

I have been trying to save Vincent since the day you saved me, and this is the way, I'm convinced of it.

I need to do this, I want to.

For Vincent... and for you.

(phone ringing)

(phone buzzing)

We're on.

JT's and Tess are almost done loading my evidence into the car, including Zach.

I still don't feel good about this, Gabe.

My father's not stupid.

What if he checks the evidence?

He won't.

He'll be too shocked to see that I'm the one blackmailing him.

As long as he still thinks I have the Bombmaker in custody, I'm good.

If he doesn't, you're dead.

We've already gone through this, Catherine.

Okay, at least let Tess...

Gabe: No.

You already said that your father isn't stupid.

He'll be checking for backup and if he sees it, I will be dead.

It's bad enough that you'll be nearby, but it's our only chance to record him, because he will be looking for a wire.

I don't know.

It's just all been such a roller coaster.

I can't believe it's finally coming down to this.

I don't know how to thank you.

Don't thank me, till he's in jail.

(phone ringing)

It's my father.

Why's he calling?

(phone continues ringing)

He can't be onto us, can he?

Answer it.

Hello?

Reynolds: Hey.

Catherine: Hi.

Th-Thanks for meeting me on such short notice.

No, is everything all right?

Uh... you said on the phone that it was important.

Right. Sorry.

I'm just a bit crazed right now.

A lot going on all of a sudden.

Uh, yeah? Like what?

My section chief pushed up my next assignment, which means I have to leave.

When?

Tonight.

I'll be gone for a while, I'm afraid, which is why I wanted to meet with you.

I wanted to tell you in person.

I wanted to say... good-bye.

Wow. Um...

I don't know what to say.

Well, believe me, uh...

I'm as disappointed as you are.

I doubt it.

No, I, uh...

I just mean that, we were just starting to get to know each other.

I was really hoping that things would turn out differently.

Me, too.

Look...

I am sorry I couldn't help more with Vincent.

No, it's okay, I understand.

I will find the guy who did this.

I'm sure you will.

I better go.

Good luck.

You, too.

(bell on door jangles)

(car pulling up)

Showtime.

Come on, Gabriel.

You!

Whoa, easy, Bob.

I don't think you want to be sh**ting me right now, unless you want to spend the rest of your life in prison.

Reynolds: Where is he?

Gabe: Wilkes? Your b*mb maker?

He's safely sequestered somewhere until he gets his half of the money.

Chatty guy, too, can't shut him up.

He's not a big fan of yours, obviously.

How do I know you really have him?

Didn't you get his text?

You think I'm stupid enough to wear a wire?

Where's the money?

Pop the trunk.

Pop the trunk!

(keys rattle)

You know, at first I just wanted to bust your ass, but then I remembered how you tried to k*ll me when I was a beast, and I thought, you know what?

I want more than justice.

I want money.

Enough to help me disappear.

Well, that's everything I got on you, my whole case... except for Wilkes, of course.

Who is more than willing to throw you under the bus, tell the cops who ordered all those hits if you don't pay.

Beast hits?

Vincent Keller, Tori Windsor, Zachary Hayes.

The cops don't know they were beasts, they just know that they were assassinated.

And conspiracy to commit m*rder's a pretty big-time charge.

You're bluffing.

Your call.

I should never have taken you off of my list.

I should've had you k*lled, too.

Gotcha.

Take my car, the money's inside.

Sorry?

We're switching cars.

I'm not loading all this crap into my car, not here. Not now.

What's the matter, Lowan, don't you trust me?

Gabe: If anything happens to me...

Relax, I'm not stupid, either.

Besides, I just got back with my daughter.

You think I want to ruin that?

(engine starts)

Don't worry, I'm not getting in that car.

I'll wait for the b*mb squad.

You go arrest that jerk.

(g*n cocks)

(tires screech)

Hands up!

Now!

Let me explain. Shut up.

But I need to...

You have the right to remain silent.

Anything you say can...

Catherine, please!

I never wanted to hurt you.

I tried everything to keep it from you, to spare you from this, but I should've known that was impossible.

But you have to understand, I had to do it.

I had to k*ll all the beasts to make amends for helping make them in the first place.

I made a mistake, I had to correct it.

By k*lling Vincent?

Yes, especially Vincent.

They only get worse, Catherine, you know it, you've seen it.

It was the only way I could protect...

Watch out! Watch out!

(grunts)

Catherine?

Catherine?!

(loud bang)

(gasps)

(screams)

(growls)

How are you still alive?

You used me.

You did this to me!

I did it to stop the others.

To stop what Muirfield did.

You did this!

(groans)

And I would do it again to save my daughter from a beast like you.

(growls)

You failed.

Let him go.

I can't let you do this.

Vincent, we've got him-- it's over.

It'll never be over as long as he's alive.

Oh, he's going to jail, I promise.

He'll get out.

You can't stop him, but I can.

(voice breaks): Please... please, don't!

I am begging you!

You still have a choice.

You can choose to walk away and save yourself... save us.

Please don't make everything that we've been through, everything that we've meant to each other be for nothing.

Don't do this.

(coughs)

(truck horn blares)

You are under arrest.

♪ I know everything you don't want me to... ♪

I'm gonna confess to everything.

Ordering the hits, my association with Muirfield, everything except beasts.

♪ Oh, I don't love you Only because I don't want anybody coming to you for answers.

You think that's gonna stop them?

I don't know. I hope so.

Because more than anything else, I want all of this to end for you.

You don't have to believe me, Doesn't really matter if you do, I guess.

But I want you to know that I did everything I could to protect you from this... from them.

Well, it's too bad Vincent's still alive, huh?

But at least he's out of your life, and I'll take that.

You're gonna thank me one day, I know you will.

I know you hate me right now, but one day you're gonna have a life, a normal life, which is all I ever wanted for you.
