Beauty & the Beast...

Sam: I want you to help me find the people who k*lled my son.

(both grunt)

You're under arrest.

If you're hoping to get classified names or something, it's encrypted, NSA level.

These people are above the law!

What people?

Who are they?

Whoever they are, you'll never get your revenge now.

I know what you're doing.

You're trying to win her back by proving you're not the beast she thinks you are.

Why do you keep ending up in Vincent's arms?

Look, Catherine, are you with me?

Or are you with him?

We have to talk.

Now that Sam's in jail, things need to change between us.

I'm with Gabe now.

I completely understand.

I don't even know how Sam got the beast serum in here.

He didn't have it on him when we arrested him.

Gabe: Well, he smuggled it in somehow, and that inmate's going to die unless JT gets here with that antidote fast.

Okay, I'll call JT.

While you're at it, check and see if he's made any progress on breaking the encryption code on that flash drive we found with Sam.

Whoever he thinks k*lled his son has got to be on that thing.

But he didn't have a chance to get anything off it or the CIA server before we caught him.

Maybe he backed it up to a cloud or something?

All I know is Sam was hell-bent on breaking out of prison, and that could only be for one reason-- to get revenge for his son.

And God only knows what he has planned considering all the carnage he's caused already.

I can't believe we have to catch this guy again.

I was thinking about finding Sam, Gabe.

What, that he saw some big, bad beast?

I mean, really, who's gonna believe that?

Now, obviously the guy's got a lot more problems than me, so I'm not too worried about my future.

Well, what else is new?

Anyway, now we know why Sam att*cked Judge Westbrook.

Yeah, apparently Westbrook is part of this secret society, a bunch of power brokers whose identities he's gonna keep secret with his life.

We think that Sam holds one of the people from that organization responsible for what happened to his son.

So, wait, what are you saying?

That one of them was trying to make a beast and experimented on his kid?

Wow. It doesn't get more evil than that.

It would explain everything Sam's done to get to this point, to get his revenge.

Problem is, according to Westbrook, these members, they don't actually know who each other are.

They only communicate through some CIA server which Sam blew up.

Which triggered an emergency meeting at some charity event which Sam can now attend because he has the pin.

Pin? What pin?

I said stay away!

Why did you have to save them?

Why didn't you just let him k*ll them all?

That's what they deserve.

I know, they are awful people, they did awful things.

(sobbing)

They k*lled my boy.

Vincent: And we're gonna make them pay, Sam.

Okay, we're gonna do it together, but we got to do it the right way.

You can testify against them, you can show the whole world exactly what you have uncovered.

It won't matter; they're above the law.

No, they're not, Sam.

Nobody is, okay?

Not, not them, not you, not me.

Listen, Sam, I have been exactly where you are.

All right, I've tried to make the pain go away by making the people who caused it pay, you know, doing it my way, but it doesn't work, Sam.

Okay, it just causes more pain and more destruction.

Listen to me, man.

Look at what you're doing.

You're trying to hurt them, but you're hurting yourself.

It's, it's not gonna bring your boy back.

Okay, but you can make a change, Sam, you can change tactics.

All right, we need you to help us to put these people away so they will never hurt anybody else again, okay?

We need you, Sam, come on.

That's it.

Come on, come down.

(sighs)

No!

(growling)

Why'd you save me?

You should have let me die.

Hey.

Hey.

You okay?

Yeah. I don't know, it's a little bittersweet, though.

Yes, we finally stopped Sam, but, I don't know, it feels a little hollow, don't you think?

We broke up their secret society.

Just take a little bit of digging.

We can put them away for a long time.

Yeah, I still wished I could have done more, though.

That's the old you talking.

The one that used to take the law into his own hands.

I like the new you better.

Oh, you do, do you?

Six years is a long time to hold onto all that pain and anger.

Can't even imagine.

I can.

All that time before we met, you know, chasing after the people that did this to me.

I don't know, it really consumes you, you know?

It can change a person.

Don't worry, I am never going back to that life again.

I believe that.

I still think you both took a hell of a risk.

It worked out, though, didn't it?

Depends on how much of a case I'm able to build against them.

Fortunately Sam's willing to help.

You don't think they'll say anything about...?

I doubt it.

Especially since they were the ones behind the beast experiments in the first place.

Another thing you don't have to go back to.

Yeah.

Well, uh, I should probably get going.

(siren wailing)

You don't want me to come up, do you?

No.

God, you are making a big mistake, Catherine.

You know that.

Gabe, please don't...

He is a beast and he always will be.

He is not gonna change.

He has already changed.

Don't be so naive, Catherine.

Look...

I can't keep protecting you against him.

Protect? I don't need you to protect me from anything.

I'm sorry, that's not what I meant.

Yes, it is.

Be honest.

Okay, you want honesty?

You may think that Vincent has changed, you may even believe that he actually has, but I used to be what he is, and I know sooner or later, he is going to hurt you...

Gabe... and you will be sorry!

Gabe, please.

The only thing I am sorry about is that things didn't work out between us, because I cared about you.

I still do.

Sure.

I do.

And I'm sorry.

I won't let him hurt you.
