male narrator: Bury your friend... your minister... the saviour of France.

narrator: While you weep... and mourn... as the pain overwhelms you.

[Indiscernible chatter in background]

We're almost dry, Madame.

I keep expecting him to walk through that door.

Barking orders, face like thunder.

An endearing temper.

You knew where you were with him.

We'll fetch some more wine from the garrison.

[Indiscernible chatter in background]

He hasn't touched a drop.

[Indiscernible chatter]

Tell him, Sylvie.

We all need some good news.

This is not the time or the place.

[Banging]

Treville gave his life for the country he loved.

He was a father to all of us.

We will never forget his bravery or his sacrifice.

He won out against the cowards who sh*t him down.

But we few here owe him much more.

We owe him everything we are.

soldiers: Yeah, that's true.

He didn't care if you came from a farm, he didn't care if you came from the streets.

All he saw was the man that you could become, the soldier!

everyone: Aye, yes!

[Sniffs]

He gave us a home, he gave us a family.

[Sniffs]

We were all young cadets once, arriving at the garrison full of self-doubt, but it was Treville who always believed in us.

And it was that belief that made us into... musketeers!

[Indiscernible chatter in distance]

Only D'Artagnan is dead.

They are in no position to protect the Queen and her son from us.

We have their powder, enough to reduce Paris to ashes and take our pick of the spoils.

Haven't they risked enough already?

[Laughs]

Half of my men have already deserted me.

[Grunts]

Constance: We've recovered two wagons.

Sylvie: Some more horses.

We have no medical supplies left.

[Bell tolling in distance]

Athos: Weapons?

No, the armoury was completely destroyed.

Listen, they must have taken some of our g*n powder.

The garrison would've gone up twice as fast if it'd all been there.

We'll take the wounded to Christoph's Tavern.

We're leaving the Garrison?

There is no Garrison, Brujon.

Wherever we draw breath, make a stand, save a life, that is the garrison, we are the garrison.

My favourite part of a battle is always its end.

[Water splashing]

But the time has come to restore yours.

A Queen has many protectors, but for too long you have had none.

That is why I am disbanding my musketeers.

And reforming them as your musketeers.

[Applause and cheering]

Their depleted ranks will be redrawn from the very streets they are to protect.

And under their watchful gaze, Paris will always be safe.

[Applause]

crowd: Long live the Queen!

[Applause and cheering]

[Laughs]

Porthos, you will return to the front as General du Vallon.

[Applause and cheering]

Show our soldiers they fight for a country where any man can rise if his talents merit it.
