Previously on... Beauty & the Beast.

We're no closer to finding whoever's put up this bounty than when we first got back from our honeymoon.

I want to put an end to this once and for all.

We need to find whoever's behind this bounty first.

(gasps)

Your agent knew who the beast was, and you had to know, too. Come on!

(g*nsh*t)

(Vincent groaning)

Doctor: Doctors make the worst patients.

How is he?

Doctor: If he lays low for a while and makes a passing attempt at being a good patient, he'll recover fully.

Catherine: Whoever's behind the bounty knows that you are the beast now.

They don't want to capture me.

Unfortunately, they want to k*ll me.

(siren blaring in distance)

(panting)

(groans)

(low grunt)

(quiet panting)

(low creaking nearby)

(quiet gasp)

(silenced g*nshots)

(exhales)

I told you we should've stayed at a hotel.

(panting)

Wake up.

Come on.

All right, start talking. Who sent you?

Come on, pal, please, I don't have time for this, all right?

You're screwed and I'm pissed, 'cause I really don't like being woken up in the middle of the night with someone trying to k*ll m...

It's getting worse, isn't it?

I'm fine.

I'm fine. Now, look, she may have knocked you clean out, but I will rip your stinking heart out.

So, last chance. Who sent you?

Catherine: Why does whoever hired you want to have Vincent dead now instead of just captured?

I don't know what you're talking about.

(frustrated groan, yells)

Why did you do that? You heard him, right?

He doesn't know, okay? His heartbeat's steady.

He's telling the truth. We're wasting our freaking time.

He is a lead, our only chance to get ahead of this-- otherwise, this is our new normal, Vincent.

Okay, look, just, why don't you just sit down?

Dr. Heidari said you shouldn't even be out of bed.

Yeah, well, Dr. Heidari doesn't know how dangerous it is for me to be in bed these days, does he?

Still, I need to get you back to the hospital.

I'm gonna bring him in for questioning.

No.

(panting): No, this is my... my problem... not yours.

Your problem?

Yes. The hit man is after me, he's not after you.

Try telling that to my pillow.

(exhales)

Hey... what's going on?

You want to know what's going on?

I'm sick to death of this crap.

You know what, I'm sick of ducking beasts and b*ll*ts and every other person that is after me, okay?

And I'm sick of ruining your life in the process.

You are not ruining my life.

There is a hit man lying in the middle of your living room again.

Just admit it, you would've been better off if you'd never found me.

Okay, you're feverish. I am calling the doctor.

How many times have you been sh*t at because of me, huh?

How many times have you been att*cked or kidnapped? Yeah, how many times you been kidnapped?

What, ten, 20 times?

Just admit it, you would be better off without me.

I just got a group text message from you.

What?

Yeah, it went to JT and Tess, also.

"911-- meet at café now."

It's a trap.

They think I'm dead.

They're going after all of us.

I got to go stop this.

Vincent, you can't.

(quietly): Damn it.

(horns honking in the distance)

Cat and Vincent aren't here yet?

Nope. Just me. Coffee?

Thank you.

They live right around the corner.

Why wouldn't they be here by now if it was so urgent?

I don't know, but whatever it is, it can't be good.

Hope Vincent's okay.

I hope we're all okay.

This is weird.

Meeting here at 3:00 a.m.? What the hell could it be about?

Maybe they just want to get us alone, to kiss and make up. (chuckles)

Okay.

Come on, relax.

I'm just joking.

Sheesh! At least you had a sense of humor when we were together.

Really? You think you gave me a sense of humor?

Yeah, I do, as a matter of fact. And gummy worms.

Got you into gummy worms.

That-that changed my life.

You're right. You're right.

See?

Yeah.

Just made you laugh.

(phone ringing)

Cat, where are you?

Are you at Il Cantuccio?

Yes, waiting for you with JT. Why?

No time to explain.

Somebody hacked Vincent's phone.

It's a trap.

You got to get out of there.

What do you mean it's a trap?

What are you talking about?

Get down!

(grunting, g*nshots)

(groans, gasps)

Oh, Vincent!

(groaning)

Let's go! Come on!

(Vincent groaning)

What the hell is going on?!

They're trying to k*ll Vincent.

They're trying to k*ll all of us. Where's Heather?

She's out of town. She's safe. He's burning up.

Oh. It's sepsis. He needs antibiotics.

(Vincent growls, Catherine gasps)

(pants, gasps)

I think he's fuguing like the old days.

He can't control it.

Go!

(groaning)

(glass clinking)

(g*n chamber cocks)

We need to get him to a hospital.

Even if we could, do you really think we can keep him from beasting out?

'Cause, if you can't, he'll be exposed.

Either way, he'll be exposed.

Half the block's called 911 by now. SWAT'll be on their way, they'll see him.

(growling)

(groaning and gasping)

Your apartment is close. Is Vincent's doctor's bag there?

Yes.

He's probably got antibiotics.

Can you give me cover fire?

Are you out of your mind?

You have a better idea?!

Hurry! Go! Now!

Go! Go! Let's go! Go! Go! Go!

(breathing loud, gasping breaths)

Vincent.

Vincent, I'm right here. I'm right here.

(wheezing)

(distorted): I love you. I love you.

Vincent, stay with me!

JT: Vincent! Vincent?!

Vincent! Oh, we got to get you out of here before someone sees what you did.

Come on! Come on!

(Vincent panting)

It's okay. It's okay.

I know you didn't mean to beast out, okay.

You don't have control. But we got to go before the zoo opens.

(elephant trumpeting)

We go to go before the zoo opens.

This isn't happening. No.

Okay.

Oh.

(panting)

This isn't happening.

(distant growl of animal)

This isn't happening.

You're fuguing, and it's obviously getting worse. Come on.

(panting)

Oh, no. (gasps)

No.

(elephant trumpeting)

Let's go!

What are you talking about, man?

Fugue states, Muirfield-- that's ancient history.

Great, now you're forgetting an entire decade.

For beasting out.

Oh, you stopped looking for the cure, JT, you gave up.

Okay, you didn't know that I knew that you volunteered me for the super soldier program, right?

But I did, I do.

I know you're Catherine's father, I know you work for Muirfield, and I know that you're supposed to be dead.

Well, at least in my world.

What, are you threatening me?

I'm an FBI agent!

Yeah, you want me to sh**t him?

No.

Tranq g*n's for me... in case I lose control.

Who are you? And how do you know I'm Catherine's father?

She doesn't even know that.

All that matters is that I know, and I need you to tell her for me.

Why? Why would I hurt her?

I promised her mother I'd never tell her the truth.

Well, it's not like you haven't broken promises before, is it, Reynolds?

You tell her, so she can believe what I have to say and she can help me.

Help you do what?

Help me make sense of all this, okay?

Help me get home so I can make things right for her.

Like it or not, your daughter-- she needs me.

And I certainly need her.

I'll tell you what.

You can do whatever you want to me, but I'm not gonna help you hurt my daughter.

(growling)

Vincent!

(growling)

Oh, my God, you're one of them, aren't you?

I thought Muirfield eliminated all of you.

Not all of them.

You-you all right, big guy?

Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay.

Let's go.
(computer chirping)

So, Joe stood me up last night again.

Really sucks when you're involved with your married boss, you know?

Tess, I keep telling you, there is somebody out there who is better for you.

Really? Like who?

Isn't that the guy who crashed your party?

Yeah, and his friend.

And you're trying to figure out who he is, why?

I don't know.

You don't know?

You are just gonna tease me.

Listen to me.

If you are thinking of having an affair, please don't.

It's not worth it.

No, I am not thinking about having an affair.

I love Evan.

Mm-hmm.

Look, I saw the plastic look on your face last night.

Just saying.

Anyway... that, um... that guy-- he, uh... he came to see me again last night... on the roof.

He said he needed my help.

And he seemed to know an awful lot about me.

That's really creepy.

What did you do?

I hit him in the jaw... twice.

But... the more that I thought about it afterward, the more I... started to wonder if maybe he knows something.

About what?

About, um... that night.

Oh, Cat, come on.

That's...

Okay, never mind.

Forget I said anything.

Seriously, what... what are the chances that that guy knows what happened that night?

Especially after all these years.

I know, but if he genuinely has answers, Tess, I need to know what they are.

Besides, why would he say this wasn't my fault if he didn't know something?

I don't... I just feel like you're grasping at straws.

Maybe I am, but I bel...

I believe him.

I don't know why, but... there's just something about him.

All right, why don't you go back to the rooftop, dust for prints, try to run it for DNA, something.

I'll let you know if anything pops up on facial recognition.

You're gonna cover for me?

Yes, but don't make a habit of it, okay?

Make a habit of what?

Evan. Well, what are you doing here?

I was wondering if I could take you to lunch so we can, um, talk?

Uh, she can't.

She's on a case, hot lead.

You actually better go, or you're gonna lose him.

Rain check tonight?

Sure.

Uh, coffee?

No, I'm good.

Okay.

(computer chirping)

Who the hell are you?

I saw him myself--

Vincent Keller.

It says in his file that he was k*lled in the Spera District with the rest of his troop.

Well, he looked pretty good for a dead guy.

Man: What do you mean?

Don't patronize me, okay?

I know what Muirfield is.

How do you think I found you in the first place?

Does that mean you're willing to work with us, Dr. Marks?

Finally put your cross-species research to work?

No, it doesn't.

I just want to know-- is Keller one or your experiments, or isn't he?

We've been looking for him, yes.

Where did you last see him?

Look, I don't want you to hurt him, okay?

I just want you to keep him away from my wife.

The only reason I called you was to prove to her that creatures like him don't really exist.

And now you know they do.

I just don't want to lose her, all right?

Understood.

We'll take care of it.

(phone beeps off)

(computer chirps)

(thuds)

(sighs heavily)

Why would Catherine even believe me anyway?

Because I believe she's looking for answers, all right?

The truth. You can tell her how much you loved her mother but how she dropped your deceitful ass when she found out you were militarizing her experiments behind her back.

How do you even know these things?

Look, Reynolds, I'm not gonna hurt Catherine, okay?

I love her very much, and she loves me.

Well, that's impossible.

You're one of them.

Well, at least you're consistent.

You hate the idea of us being together in both worlds.

What is it?

What's wrong?

Catherine.

(shouting): Catherine?!

Okay, what happened?

What's wrong?

What happened?

What's he doing?

No idea.

(growling, yelling, breathing loudly)

What's happening? Why aren't the antibiotics working?

I don't know.

They should be, but he seems to be getting worse.

I'm out.

(helicopter whirring)

Here comes the cavalry.

Yeah, and exposure.

(sirens blaring)

(loud panting)

Don't give up, Vincent. Come on.

Come back to me, please.

(panting)

Vincent.

Vincent, wake up!

Vincent, please.

Please don't give up.

I love you.

Keep on fighting, Vincent, stay with me.

(groaning)

Get out of the way.

What, are you gonna k*ll him now?!

I'm not letting that thing anywhere near my daughter.

I should never have let it get this far. He's a mistake.

I am her only hope, all right?

Muirfield has taken her.

I saw it all.

You saw what?

JT, go to the bathroom.

Get me something to stop the bleeding, okay?

Buddy, hurry.

I got to go track her now.

Okay, go.

Hey!

Let him go.

Come on. For Catherine, please.

(panting)

We've always had one thing in common, Reynolds.

We both want what's best for Catherine.

But right now, whether you like it or not, I am what is best for her.

FBI!

Vincent: Evan?

You? Wait. Where's Cat?

Muirfield took her. Catch up!

Lift your shirt.

(Vincent grunts)

They weren't supposed to take her.

How do you know that, huh?

You did this, didn't you? Aah!

Oh, oh, easy, easy. Relax.

Trying to protect her from you!

(panting)

She didn't make you up, did she?

You were there that night. You saved her.

Muirfield must have known how much she meant to you.

That's why they've taken her to get to you.

They're not gonna let her go, even if they have Vincent.

They don't leave loose ends.

Wait. I think I might know where they've taken her.

It's an old-old power plant, and it's high security.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy.

Show me.

It will be a trap.

I know.

I know. JT, we'll tell you the location.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'll do what?!

Buddy, believe me.

You've done it before, you can do it again.

The precinct's got high-level access.

The hot detective?

Yes. Her name's Tess.

I'm gonna what?

Come on, man, for-for Catherine.

Here, take this, too.

You might need it.

Jt: Still, why would Tess help me?

Because her partner's in trouble, and, buddy, you make her life so good.

Use gummy worms. Come on.

(Vincent groans)

Gummy worms?

(groans)

You really should see a doctor.

(chuckles): I ama doctor.

That's a very long story.

Cat never stopped believing you existed, you know.

Despite what everyone else thought.

I certainly didn't believe it.

Maybe I just didn't want to.

Drove a huge wedge between us.

What do you want me to say?

That you'll go away after this?

Wouldn't matter if you did.

Doesn't matter how much I love her, which, for the record, I do, completely.

Cat doesn't love me.

Not the way that I love her, anyway.

She's tried, I know she has, but it's like a part of her d*ed the night her mother did, and I just can't touch that.

But maybe you can.

Maybe you can give her the answers that she's looking for, heal her.

You're a good man, Evan.

I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you that before.

What are you talking about?

We just met.

Hi. Tess?

Yeah?

I'm... you know, JT?

So?

Didn't Agent Reynolds...?

Yeah, I know, he called, but I still don't know what's going on or who the hell you are.

Look, both of our friends are in trouble, which means we need to work together.

So... may I?

Hurry up.

Thanks.

Okay. Sure hope I know how to do this.

(keyboard keys clicking)

(computer chirping)

So who's your friend? Really?

All that matters is he's my friend, and I'd do anything to help him.

How about you?

Same.

Good.

Yeah. Hurry up.

Okay.

(keyboard keys clicking)

Gummy worm?

(laughs)

Seriously?

Made you laugh.

Thanks.

She's in there.

Yeah.

Are you sure your friend can disable their security system?

He hasn't let me down yet.

Hey.

Save her.

Always.

(grunting)

Why are you doing this?

What do you want?

(Catherine panting)

Man: We just lost the feed!

What the hell?

Man: We lost the feed!

Man 2: What's happening here?

I did it.

Vincent was right.

We've been hacked.

Surround the building.

Lock it down!

Come on, move out, move, move out!

(exclaims)

It's okay, it's okay.

It's okay.

I'm here to save you, all right?

(click)

Go.

Man: Descanso, Volve, this way!

Aah!

(groans)

You're hurt.

Yeah. What's new?

She's not here.

We got to get out of here.

This isn't the first time you've saved me, is it?

No.

I wasn't imagining things.

You were there that night.

Yeah, it was me.

All these years everybody thought I was crazy.

What's your name?

Vincent.

Where have you been all my life, Vincent?

(g*nf*re)

Get her out of here!

Come on, go, let's go!

Go!

Let's go!

To the tree line-- go!

Fan out!

(grunts)

Aah!

We got to keep moving.

Wait, wait. Wait, this isn't... this isn't right.

Right?

Yeah.

We have to run. They're gonna k*ll you. They're gonna k*ll us!

No, no, no.

It's not real.

All right? None of this is real, it can't be real.

(grunts) Stop!

What more do you want from me?

Shh! I don't understand.

What are you doing?

I don't understand, either.

I thought if I found you, helped you find the answers, everything would go back.

Back, what do you mean?

Back to what?

Back to us.

Back to normal.

(grunts)

Aah!

But things are just as bad here.

Maybe you are better off without me after all.

Vincent, listen to me.

I've spent most of my life looking for answers.

And now that I've finally found them, now that I have found you, I'm not giving up.

I am not losing you.

Hang in there, Vincent, please.

Don't give up.

Come back to me.

Don't give up, Vincent, please.

Don't give up. Come back to me. I need you.

I need you.

Officer: Check the alley.

I love you.

(growling)

Now, on me!

This way, this way.

I love you.

We're moving in.

I love you.

(growling, panting)

Where am I?

It's okay, you're okay.

You're home.

No scar?

No.

No scar. Oh, no scar.

You okay?

What happened?

Just... a terrible, terrible, terrible dream, that's all.

Officer: Wentzel, Harkington, enter the building!

Freeze!

NYPD. It's fine.

Medical attention's needed.

Officer: All right, stand down.

(sighs)

You know who I am, right?

How can you not know why they were sh**ting at you?

Well, I mean, they weren't exactly sh**ting at me, per Se.

So, what, you just happened to be here with Dr. Keller?

At 3:00 in the morning?

Yeah, well, you know...

Tess?

Uh, I'm sorry, Lieutenant.

He's actually not allowed to answer your questions.

Why not?

I'm why not.

It's all part of a classified DHS undercover operation, Lieutenant.

We'll take it from here.

But thank you for coming to our rescue.

Yeah, sure thing.

Anytime.

Oh, by the way, the sn*pers got away.

There's no sign of them, nothing.

There is no sign of the one who att*cked Cat and Vincent in their apartment, either.

Whoever's behind this knows how to cover their tracks. They're pros.

And there's no leads on who sent the sn*pers at all?

No. But, uh, we're starting to think that it's not whoever's behind the beast bounty. We think somebody else is trying to k*ll Vincent.

And k*ll all of us, too.

Okay, I'm not following.

It didn't make sense last week, either.

They've clearly been trying to capture a beast all along, so why suddenly go for the nuclear option?

Lure us all here for a turkey sh**t?

Okay, are you telling me we've got two sets of bad guys to worry about now?

Yes, and one is sending bounty hunters and the other is sending assassins.

Which means we're all still in somebody's crosshairs.

Okay. Hey, well, you better lay low until we figure this out.

Can you get police protection?

No, not without giving an explanation why, which I obviously can't.

All right.

Let me see what I can do, okay?

And have Cat call me as soon as she can.

Okay?

Eh, not very reassuring, was he?

Ah, feds.

(sighs)

Gummy worm?

Thanks. Idiot.

Made you laugh.

How is he?

Clinically? He's stable.

But as far as I'm concerned, if he doesn't start taking better care of himself, he is going to die.

All right.

You got sh*t last week, Vincent.

I told you to lay low and you didn't.

Well, something came up.

Look, can I go home now?

No.

I'm admitting you this time, whether you like it or not.

Maybe it'll give you some time to talk some sense into him.

Well, maybe staying here is the safer place right now, huh?

Especially with someone out there trying to k*ll me.

k*ll us.

Dr. Heidari's right, Vincent.

Big bad beast aside... you're still human.

Yeah.

I can't do this without you.

I don't want to.

You sure about that?

I'm positive.

I thought I'd lost you.

I mean, I knew it wasn't real, but it sure as hell felt like it.

And Evan was in your dream?

Mm-hmm.

In fact, you were married to the guy.

You probably won't believe this, but Evan and I actually had a bit of bonding time.

Yeah, okay, maybe I was hallucinating.

Yeah, you were hallucinating.

Yeah. And on top of all that craziness, you know, I actually did learn something.

And that, my dear wife, is that you are not better off without me after all.

I mean, yes, you saved me, you got me out of the shadows, but... in some ways I kind of saved you, too.

With your mom.

Right? I helped you find the answers to help you heal.

We helped heal each other, Vincent.

Yeah.

And while we're on that subject, you are not going anywhere until you've completely healed this time.

Well, sounds good to me.

But then what?

Doesn't change the fact that there's somebody still out there trying to k*ll us.

Or that someone else is trying to capture you.

Which leaves us where, exactly?

More determined than ever to kick some ass and finally get our happily ever after back.

Uh-huh.

On the other hand, maybe we should just move away from this window, just to be safe.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.
