MORGAN: Well, it was different.

I, uh, was on the run, Al.

AL: From what?

- What were you on the run...

That's what this is all about.

And the thing I did was cleanup.

Cleanup?

You know, like, k*lling them.

It was what I decided I could do.

That was my job, what I was good at.

I took a step back.

And figured out what I needed to... keep going, to keep helping.

DANIEL: You were there, Al. You saw me.

That's the place where I was gonna spend the rest of my days, alone, with that cat.

It's like, every morning, I just count up my regrets and... hang them over the shoulders and... start the day.

What do you do with the time that you have left?

That's the question.

STRAND: The universe has tested us in no uncertain terms.

There's a utility to that.

One becomes formed into something else.

A survivor.

There's power in that.

I think about those people sitting on piles of it...

This here is how we keep the convoy humming.

Polar Bear's dudes hooked us up with it when we got to the oil fields.

We go fill her up every couple weeks or so.

Gas is starting to go kaput.

It was hard enough trying to get places.

DANIEL: We drive the MRAP behind the tanker to keep it safe.

And we'd like to think our presence discourages them.

ALICIA: I'm in the Sprinter with Strand and Luciana, which means we're the lead vehicle when we go out.

It used to be because I was, like, the first line of defense, but now I'm helping map out which roads are still clear.

STRAND: She's my friend.

I wasn't with her when she needed me, but I'm with her now, and I'm doing what she can't.

[INDISTINCT CONVERSATIONS]

JUNE: Grace and I, you could say we're in charge of the caravan.

We left the river mill

'cause everyone we found who's needed our help was so far apart, it just didn't make sense to operate out of one place.

We try to keep everyone comfortable when we're taking them back and forth between the outposts we set up along the road.

I think we've got more important things to do.
