Amy: Previously, on "Heartland"...

I'm gonna walk away, and if you stop me before I get to my car, I'll come back.

[Emotional exhale]

Georgie: Could I go back to New York with you, not just to visit, but to live?

It was Peyton.

I have proof.

You posted the video from Dylan's computer, but I told him not to tell anyone.

Why would you do that?

So that I can b*at you, fair and square.

I very much doubt that.

See you at the Fall Finale.

I just can't keep waiting.

I gotta take matters into my own hands, I've gotta take the time I have left, and use it.

[Spartan snorts]

Amy: [Whistles]

Hey!

[Laughs]

Good.

Good!

[Whistles]

Hey!

Hey!

Good boy.

[Whistles]

Here!

[Hooves rustle in the foliage]

[Spartan snorts]

[Truck rumbles]

[Gravel crunches]

Georgie: [Sighs]

You guys are amazing.

[Sighs]

Thanks.

Yeah, it definitely helps relieve stress.

Speaking of stress, I've gotta go over to Westfield today.

Why?

I forgot some tack and brushes there.

I'm kinda dreading it.

You want me to go with you?

Yeah, that'd be great, thank you.

Yeah, no worries.

Wow.

Yeah, I thought it would be helpful to keep a record of whose stone is whose, you know?

Just to help our memory, as we get older.

Excuse me?

As we all get older, Grandpa, and you know, for future generations.

Yeah, I think that's a great idea.

[Camera clicks]

Thank you.

So Amy and Ty, they pick a stone for Lyndy yet?

No.

Did I forget someone?

No, no.

You didn't, I did.

[Hooves clomp, horse snorts]

[Georgie sighs]

Stop acting like we're sneaking in.

I just-I don't wanna run into Dylan or Peyton.

Lainey: Where's her horse?

Probably out pulling a plow.

[Girls giggle]

Dylan: Georgie!

It's good to see you.

I'm just here to clear some stuff out, I won't be needing the stall anymore.

Well, don't feel like you can't use our arena.

I can talk to my aunt, she'll come around.

Don't bother.

Look...

about Peyton, and the way things turned out, I-I want you to know how sorry I am.

I'm over it.

How's Phoenix?

He's better.

We're ready for the Fall Finale.

And you can tell Peyton that.

[Tack jingles]

[Sighs]

Thanks for picking me up, by the way.

I'm putting new tires on the truck.

Just when Tim asked me to cover a clinic at the school.

Hey, I don't' believe it.

That's that same truck, that lemon!

It's still for sale.

You kinda got suckered into that thing.

What are you doing?

I'm gonna deal with this once and for all.

Deal with what?

Something I've been meaning to do for a long time.

You got a minute for a pit stop?

Apparently I do.

[Cows moo]

[Horse pants]

[Hooves thud]

[Horse whinnies]

Ah!

[Thuds]

Woman: You okay?

Ah!

Ah!

Dylan!

Are you all right?

[Pained groans]

Val offered Flame for Georgie to ride at the Fall Finale.

I don't believe her!

Oh, I do, that is so Val.

And you said no?

Well yeah, of course I did.

After everything that Val's put her through, of course she should say no.

I think you should take her up on it, you have a better chance of winning.

Excuse me?

Dad!

That's not a reason to make a decision.

Yeah!

And I would never do that to Phoenix!

We're partners, we've come way too far for me to just quit on him.

Georgie, that horse is still recovering from an injury.

He's fine, and what about Dylan?

When he recovers, he won't have a horse.

Ah, that's his problem.

And you don't owe the Westfields any favours.

Now you go with the horse that gives you the best chance of winning, there's no doubt about it.

People switch horses all the time, don't they, Lisa?

But Dave Chalmers might not.

You heard him, he hates that animal, I think he's just keeping it out of spite.

So what are you saying?

I'm saying we switch 'em out.

Switch 'em out?

Yeah.

You're crazy.

Maybe.

Are you in?

Absolutely.

Yeah?

Yeah.

I'm sure looking forward to Lyndy's day.

Lou and Lisa have a real nice lunch planned.

Yeah, Lou was telling me about it.

Grandpa, this might sound crazy, but I think I remember my naming ceremony.

Is that possible?

I mean, how old was I?

Well, you couldn'tve been more than a year, a year and a half.

I remember.

You do?

Yeah.

Mom was riding a horse, and I think that she did some kind of trick, or something.

But it was really special for me, and I want it to be special for Lyndy, too.

Well, I was thinking, I'd like to make the day even more special.

Yeah?

Wouldn't it be nice if we surprised Lisa, and got her to pick a stone of her own?

To tell you the truth, I can't believe we haven't thought of it before now.

You know, she has had a rough year, and this could be the perfect surprise for her.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's something we could definitely talk about.

Um, but not right now, I should get Lyndy in her own bed.

Okay.

Amy: Grandpa wants Lisa to get a stone on the same day as Lyndy.

Okay.

Okay?

Just...

it's okay?

Why can't Lisa have her stone naming on her birthday?

Or an anniversary?

Amy, I think you're being a little too sensitive about this.

No, I don't think I am.

I do, I mean, let's be honest, she's probably not even gonna remember it.

Yes, she will.

No, she won't.

Well, don't put too much pressure on yourself.

Really?

Is that what Liberty work is to you, running around in circles with a horse?

Well, I-that's what it'll be to her, I mean, I like it.

It's-it's...

it's beautiful.

[Laughs]

But you don't have anything to prove to her.

Yes I do, I have big shoes to fill, Dad.

I remember Mom being this strong, fearless horse woman.

Like you.

She was a superhero to me, and I wanna be that to Lyndy.

Honey, you already are.

Okay...

stay with it.

Okay.

Dad?

Yeah?

Have you heard anything?

No.

No, I told you, as soon as I hear something, you'll be the first to know.

So, you're happy that you're sticking with Phoenix?

Yeah.

I am.

So riding Phoenix, is that a, a long term decision?

You're talking about New York, aren't you?

I'm wondering which way you're leaning on that, yeah.

I'm going.

I think.

Well, don't make any hasty decisions.

Jack, am I an idiot...

for not picking Flame?

The people on that website, they trash Phoenix, and they call him a cow pony, and I know that's not true, but...

And that's all that matters.

Georgie, you can't make any plan based on the actions of thoughtless people who hide like cowards behind their words.

I'll never understand why some people insist on using that internet to deliberately hurt other people, it's not right.

So don't you doubt yourself.

And don't doubt Phoenix, either.

He'll get you where you wanna go.

I know.

I'll try.

[Phoenix huffs]

[Remi barks in the distance]

Hey!

Um, I forgot to tell you, we're having a lunch on Saturday.

It's Lyndy's naming ceremony.

Doesn't she already have a name?

[Laughs]

It's a family tradition.

All the new babies through the generations get given on a stone on the fireplace, which then becomes theirs forever.

Hmm.

Anyways, can you come?

Well, can I come as me this time, or...

do I have to pretend to be Peter?

I apologize for that.

In the future I promise to refrain from inappropriate requests, and terrible business advice.

In the future?

Can you come?

Is Peter gonna be there?

Yes.

So I understand if you opt out.

I know there's tension.

Actually no, there's- there's no tension.

We're good, we're tight, ever since we babysat Lyndy together.

Really?

Well then, I guess I'll see you there.

Hey is uh, is Jack in?

I think he's in the barn.

Hey, when did you and Peter babysit Lyndy together?

So I wanna give you one more chance, Georgie.

Val, stop it.

I already told you, I'm sticking with Phoenix.

Really?

You still wanna compete with this unreliable, poor excuse for a jumper?

Yes!

So you can find another rider for Flame.

And I will, you can be assured of that.

But Georgie, it's time you woke up.

[Huffs]

You're making a very big mistake.

Announcer: Second place goes to Peyton Westfield, and her horse, Flame, owned by Briar Ridge Stables.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Announcer: And first place goes to Georgie Fleming Morris, riding Phoenix Rising, from Heartland Ranch Stables.

Good boy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

[Laughs]

Good boy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

You were amazing today.

And we showed 'em.

Yeah.

Wyatt: Hey.

[Phoenix snorts]

Hey.

You did it.

I just wanted to come by to say congrats.

Thanks.

Wow, I bet this will stop all those evil internet trolls now, huh?

[Sighs]

Maybe, I-I hope so.

Listen, I am...

I'm really...

No, no, no.

I didn't come by to make you feel like you had to say anything, or...

No, I just...

I wanted to thank you for the phone call, it was really thoughtful, and it helped me a lot.

Good.

I'm glad.

I almost didn't call, all I needed was to make another stupid assumption of how you're gonna react.

What assumption?

I just shouldn'tve given you that ultimatum.

Total fail, you know?

It's like I said, I'm just not good at that kind of stuff.

Yeah.

You aren't.

Total fail.

Okay.

Well...

I'll see ya.

Yeah.

Yeah.

[Brush rasps]

I shouldn'tve driven away.

[Mitch and peter talk quietly]

Um...

hey, Mom?

Um...

I've decided I'm gonna stay here.

You were right, I...

I can't run away.

Is that okay?

Yes, of course.

I mean, I'm a little...

you know...

but of course.

[Cowbell clangs]

Jack: Come on over here, everyone!

Now, first of all, we want to say a big congratulations to our first place winner, who rose to the occasion when it could have been so easy to quit.

Yeah, Georgie!

Woo!

Jack: You made us awfully proud today, Georgie, and I know you'll continue to do that, wherever you are.

[Lou chuckles]

Now, this year has been...

well, a pretty crazy ride for all of us.

It's been a year of some huge highs, and...

and some deep lows.

It's a year that threatened to tear us all apart, but instead, I believe it brought us together.

And we're here today to celebrate the family.

It's a family that continues to grow.

We're all gathered here to officially welcome Amy and Ty's daughter.

Now, what started out as a Bartlett tradition [Small chuckle]

has uh, well, it's become...

a Bartlett Fleming Morris Borden tradition.

And it's as unique as the child we're celebrating.

So now, let's welcome this beautiful baby, and bless her with name, and a stone of her own.

Thanks, Jack.

Okay, Lyndy, you ready?

[Lyndy coos]

[Laughs]

Do you wanna pick a stone, sweetie?

This is mine.

This is Dad.

How about up here?

Right there?

Do you wanna touch this one right here?

[Lyndy coos]

Yes!

All: Yay!

[Laughing]

Lyndy Marion Borden, welcome to this family, my little one.

You're a very lucky girl, I hope you never forget that, and may you always have joy and love in your heart, and may you always have good health.

And bear your name with honour, and grow to be a wise, and understanding person.

[Lyndy laughs]

[All laugh]

To Lyndy.

All: To Lyndy.

Cheers.

[Glasses clink]

And there's someone else...

that we need to honour today with a stone.

Someone who has been a part of our family for a long time now, and someone who we couldn't live without.

And we all appreciate her.

And we love her.

Lisa.

Oh!

Oh!

Oh, I didn't...

[Gasps, laughs]

Thank you, honey.

Oh...

thank you.

Pick your stone.

Pick my stone, well...

um...

where are you?

I don't know, I can't remember.

Oh, Grandpa!

[Laughs]

That's me.

All right.

Well, are-is that taken, if it's not, I'll take that one.

Well, I love that it's right beside me, it's yours if you want it.

I will, thank you.

Thank you, everybody.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Cheers, Lisa.

[Lyndy coos]

Um...

I'd like to say something.

[Sighs]

I guess uh, this might not be the most appropriate time, but I don't know when we'll all be together again in this room, and I promised I'd keep you in the loop about my health, and...

I got some results back from my latest tests.

[Sighs]

I'm clear.

The shadow's gone.

[Gasps]

You're clear?

You're clear?

Oh, good!

Tim!

Oh, Dad!

Mitch: That's great, that's good news, partner.

Amy: That's such good news.

Tim: Mm!

Hey, girls...

there's something else I should tell you, and you probably don't know this, but uh...

your father doesn't have a stone on that hearth.

You don't?

What?!

I...

Why not?

Talk to Jack about it.

Long story.

Dad!

But not for today.

Listen, everyone.

Amy has something that she wants to show Lyndy.
