Got a roll of duct tape for anyone else who wants to lodge a complaint.

Well, Patton's tracing the timeline leading to the bus att*ck, seeing if there's any anomalies to the routine.

The gunmen knew all the routes and where to spring the traps.

We might be dealing with an inside job.

Yeah, good.

Let's follow that theory.

Detective Drummond has patrol canvassing the residential area where Brooks and the gunmen got out of the SUV and started walking.

The less predictable, the harder to target.

What happened?

That's not even the alternate approved route.

- Why the detour?

- Dispatcher log said it was due to traffic conditions and road closures, except there weren't any.

Who is the prison's transportation dispatcher?

Guy named John Sawyer.

HANNAH: Let's bring him in.

This is bleak.

Man, no one knows Abel Brooks better than me, and I'm sidelined right now.

I should be out in the field.

Yeah, so should I, but I'm not.

We could pout about it, or we could search Brooks' prison boxes for clues about how he got out.

I had nothing to do with it.

I was just following the new procedure.

Checked in with the forensic techs filling in for Sebastian.

They find anything?

Well, they pulled a partial print off the coded Suzie letters Abel Brooks received in prison.

There's no match.

How about the cash our dispatcher got for changing the bus route?

There's no useable print and there's way too much DNA.

Well, that's odd, considering how little

- money circulates these days.

- [SIGHS]

They're working on narrowing the samples down, but it's like lifting individual layers of paint off an old house.

And none of those techs are like Sebastian, so...

I won't hold my breath.

Okay.

- I'll see you later.

- Okay.

The fugitives were careful inside the old couple's home, but they definitely cleaned up the bathroom.

Do you think we can get any biologicals?

Yo.

Sebastian, what do you think?

I think I broke Carter.

What, b-broke him?

What are you talking about?

Nothing, it's silly.

Um, yeah, have the, uh, have the forensic team pull the pipes out and maybe they can find some hair or skin samples.

Yeah, yeah, I will, but what happened with Carter?

Oh, it's...

nothing, really.

I just...

I might have told him about your profile, you know, got his nose all out of joint.

Well, of course it did.

- Well, none of us got upset.

- Are you kidding?

You wouldn't touch a doorknob for a week after I told you the OCD thing was a defense mechanism to make up for your fear of physical exertion.

That was to prove a point.

You know what, I don't need this right now.

Now I have to clean up your mess.

My me...

It's your profile!

We'll get into it later.

Didn't you say you want to tell me something about the case?

Yeah, actually, so, um, I was going through the logs of when I was undercover with the RAC, and it turns out that Brooks did mention the pit.

Told a couple of his guys that he was gonna go there to pick up some supplies.

Okay.

Is that it?

No.

Well, you know, we were staying out at that swamp house in the boonies, and when Brooks left and came back, it took him about an hour and a half.

You think it's enough for a geo-profile?

Uh, I hope so.

I'm cross-calculating it with locations that could be about minutes away from the swamp house.

It would also be someplace isolated.

A protected hiding place.

Yeah.

Let's see, we got, uh, commercial area, residential, privately owned.

Here's something.

Down I- .

By Bayou Savage.

Isn't that where the old fort is?

Yeah, and it's abandoned.

I'm up on the south fort wall.

Gonna head east.

Where are you and Hannah?

East side tunnel, moving south.

Copy that.

HANNAH: If this is a wild goose chase, Sebastian's a dead man.

He's a dead man anyway.

Uh, what happened to "I feel guilty about abandoning Sebastian"?

Sebastian happened.

He told Carter I profiled him.

I can't imagine that went over very well.

I couldn't even look at you when you did that to me.

Really?

Because you said it was "so cool." Oh, yeah, sure.

Everybody loves having their personalities boiled down to a list of weaknesses and flaws.

Didn't stop you from being curious about Carter's profile.

Okay, well, I thought that was funny.

Anyway, you were wrong about him.

- You were off the mark with him.

- How so?

Look, he's not detached.

He may seem aloof, but he's reserved.

Well, you say reserved, I say aloof.

Either way, it's the armor that he wears.

But by all means, tell me more, Agent Lovestruck.

Oh, co...

Ladies, found something.

East side, end of tunnel.

You found the pit?

More than that.

I found Abel Brooks.

Two masked suspects coordinate a sophisticated plan to get Abel Brooks out of prison, just to k*ll him the next day.

Why?

GREGORIO: Brooks is the highest-ranking member of the RAC.

Probably the only one who knew where that pit was.

So they break Brooks out, let him lead them to the pit, k*ll him and take whatever's stashed there?

That's the most likely theory.

But how does it help us find our suspects?

You know, it's hard to believe they were even members of the RAC.

This is a brotherhood based on deep racial ideological affinity, no matter how disgusting.

So, someone from Brooks' past, someone that he trusted enough to help him with the break.

Give my girl a gold star.

You get something from the partial print

- off Brooks' Suzie letter?

- Come on, Pride.

You know I'm good.

I narrowed it down to names out of the database.

I cross-referenced it with the surveillance footage of the folks who met with Brooks at the RAC.

I used facial recognition, and poof...

Lucy Jacobson.

They met in high school.

They dated off and on for years.

Not much of an employment record.

She's in and out of low-paying jobs when she's not doing time for minor drug offenses.

She lives with her mama.

She ever associate with the RAC?

Not that I could find.

But she did keep in touch with Brooks before he was arrested.

You thinking she might be one of our masked accomplices?

PATTON: I can't say that.

But I did get a sample of Lucy's voice from her social media, and I played it

- for the prison dispatcher.

- Let me guess...

he recognized her voice as fake DHS agent Suzie Warner.

PRIDE: Got a location on Lucy?

She hasn't been at her mom's in a week.

Then put out a BOLO.

HANNAH: It would make sense that Lucy would help break her boyfriend out of prison, but would she k*ll him after?

Depends on who the other suspect is, and if she was in on the k*lling or coerced.

Could be the next to die.

So is the target still on Sebastian's back if the prison break was all about grabbing the stash?

It's too soon to tell.

We don't even know what the stash is.

Sebastian stays in the safe house until we can track these suspects down.

Who is the other suspect?

The brains of the operation, is my guess.

Someone smart enough to create the plan.

Driven, capable and deadly.

SEBASTIAN: This doesn't make any sense.

Brooks is dead.

He's the one that wanted to k*ll me.

We should be back out in the field.

Well, there's no guarantee the other two aren't gunning for you, too.

Why?

Well, you are kind of annoying.

Okay, but seriously.

The whole team took out the RAC.

Hannah sh*t Jim Keene.

Yeah, well, you're the one who infiltrated their ranks.

You're the traitor, as far as they're concerned.

Yeah, but there's no "they" left.

We can't confirm that.

Until we do, you're under my protection.

Oh, yeah, does that mean you're gonna take a b*llet for me?

Hmm.

I haven't decided yet.

Hey, listen.

I shouldn't have said anything about that profile.

That was stupid.

I'm-I'm really sorry.

Look, the problem isn't that you told me.

The problem is that it exists.

Tammy assumes the worst about me...

That everything about my personality has a negative justification.

W-What's that supposed to mean?

It means it's not exactly well-adjusted to put down roots by house hunting for yourself, your roommate and her girlfriend.

- That was Tammy's idea.

- Was it?

Or was it all just based on a misunderstanding?

What misunderstanding?

The realtor wasn't supposed to send you the listings.

It was just for Gregorio.

She doesn't want to live with you anymore, Sebastian.
