Updated, Submitted & Corrected by: Adam :)

Amy: (voice) Previously on Heartland

Lou: I thought once the new Maggie's was opened

you'd be home for good -

Lou: Georgie. you have to understand it's a franchise

Georgie: Yeah, It's a franchise so you'll open up another one and another.

Lisa: I am broke. I am having a very heard time keeping my business afloat.

Lou: I think you can be a really good fit for the management position.

Jen: I would love that.

Lou: Good.

[Lou and Jen both chuckle]

Georgie: I decided not to go. I'll miss home and everyone here.

Wyatt: Anyone in particular?

[NOW BACK TO THE SHOW]

[The horse "Flyer" snorts and whinnies as his jockey rides him around
the track. Lisa is watching the horse run the track.]

[In Amy and Ty's barn loft home. Any is attending to Lyndy on the table.
She is reading from a children book as she finishes dressing Lyndy.]

Amy: (reading) "A moose and a goose together had juice, but not the
hippopotamus"

[Amy lifts Lyndy up into the air]

Amy: (to Lyndy) I know your dad does a much better job than I do but
he's busy saving the wolves right now. He'll be back home soon though, okay?

[Her phone rings and she picks up and looks at it.]

Amy: (answers) Hello. Hi, Lisa, yeah...

[Pause as she listens]

Amy: Right now?

[Pause as she listens]

Amy: No, I-I can't... I've...

[Pause as she listens]

Amy: Okay. I will meet you there. Bye.

[Phone beeps off]

[In the barn Lou and Mitch hugging and kissing in a loving embrace. Amy
comes down the loft stairs carrying Lyndy in her carry basket and walks
in on them.]

Amy: (clears throat) Hey.

[Lou and Mitch separate quickly]

Lou: (embarrassed) Hi Amy. Uh, Mitch and I were just catching up.

Amy: I can see that.

Mitch: (embarrassed) I'm gonna get back at it.

[Mitch leaves barn]

Lou: Okay.
[Amy just gives a closed mouth smile.]

Lou: There's my little baby niece.

[Lou approached Lyndy and Amy and gives her a tender tickle.]

Lou: (to Lyndy) Hi sweetie. Where are you guys off to?

Amy: (smiling at Lou) Oh, I'm meeting Lisa at the racetrack.

Amy: Sounds like she's having a problem with one of her racehorses. I
was gonna drop Lyndy off with Grandpa for a bit.

Lou: I can take her in for you.

Amy: You sure?

Lou: Yeah. And uh, listen... About Mitch.

Amy: Are you guys back on?

Lou: I don't know. We haven't really had a chance to talk about it.

Amy: Well, yeah. Probably because of all that "catching up" you've had
to do.

Lou: (embarrassed) Yeah.

[Out in the pasture riding along a fence line is Georgie and Wyatt.
Georgie is on her white horse "Flame" and Wyatt is on a brown with black
main, a Heartland horse.]

Georgie: So, Lou's bringing our mom to Maggie's today. How did she
feeling about it?

Wyatt: She's really excited about this job actually.

Georgie: I think she'll do great.

Wyatt: Hum! So you glad to be sticking around for the summer?

Georgie: Yeah, I mean, I'm gonna miss Lou and Katie of course, but I'll
get to compete on Flame, and hanging out with you. There is gonna be
lots of fun stuff to do. There is these cool outdoor movies and Summer
fest will be a blast.

Wyatt: That sounds awesome, but...

Georgie: What? What's up?

Wyatt: I kinda flunked my math final.

Georgie: Oh!

Wyatt: Yes. So I have to make that up. I can either do a retest, or I
can go to Calgary for summer school. So, I'm gonna do summer school.

Georgie: You're not even gonna try to pass the retest?

Wyatt: No. I've been studying, but... Algebra, you know, it's k*lling me.

Georgie: Yeah. Word problems are the worst.

Wyatt: Yeah. So we'll just hang out when we can.

[Inside Heartland house, Jake is sorting the mail and Lou is making
Lyndy comfortable in her carryall.]

Jake: Yeah, see there she is.

[Lou lifts Lyndy out of the carryall]

Lou: You're gonna have your hands full, thank you for offering to watch
Katie and Brick too. Jen's in a pinch for child care.

Jake: Yeah, it's no trouble, They're good company for each other.

Lou: Katie can't stop talking about Brick ever since the Mini-bronc clinic.

[Lou puts Lyndy back into her carryall.]

Jake:
Ha! Ha!

Lou: (comparing Katie & Lyndy) Oh, I remember when she was this age. Now
it seems like Katie is growing up so fast.

Jake: Yeah. So what's your plan for her this summer, now that Georgie's
staying put?

Lou: Katie's still coming to New York with me.

Jake: Why? You're gonna be awful busy, aren't you?

Lou: Don't remind me. The soft launch is only a month away, and I still
have a ton to organizing to do.

Jake: It doesn't sound like you'll have much time for Katie.

Lou: Well, I'm hiring a full-time nanny.

Jake: Well, I hope you know that Lisa and I, we're more than happy to
pitch in. Georgie is here. Maybe you'd consider Katie being here too?

[Lou stops to think about Jake's offer.]

[At the local race track a horses with jokey are running laps. In the
stands Amy is heading toward Lisa.

Lisa: (to Amy) Hey there.

[Referring to a horse being unloaded from a trailer.]

Lisa: This is Fairfield Flyer.

Amy: (approaches) Wow, He's beautiful.

Lisa: I was all ready to sale and now he is just performing poorly, and
the sale has fallen through.

Amy: I'm sorry to hear that. So what can I do?

Lisa: I just don't know what is going on, I mean, he-he's just not
living up to his potential, and I would love if you'd just please ride
him and tell me what you think?

Amy: Yeah.

[Any is riding Fairfield Flyer as Lisa watches. Another horse on the
track flies by Fairfield Flyer like he is standing still.]

Amy: (on horse) Come on. Hey! Hey! Get up! Get up! Get up! let's go!
Come on!

[Flame snorts]

[One of Lisa riders rides up beside Flame]

Amy: (to Flame) Ho.

Rider: I'll take him.

[Amy dismounts in front of Lisa]

Ranch hand: (to horse) Come on.

Amy: (to ranch hand) Thanks.

Amy: (to Lisa) I see what you mean. You know, I'm having a hard time
getting him to focus and respond. It's almost like he's tired. Is that
possible?

Lisa: No, I mean, he-he's had the same training regime for months. I've
had two vets come out. He's got no physical issues. I need to to figure
out what the problem is.

Amy: I don't know, Lisa. I mean, I would love to help you, but Ty being
gone...

Lisa: What would it take for you to say yes?

Amy: (sighs) I would need to work with him at Heartland where I can be
close to Lyndy...

Lisa: I can do that, fine. And then you'll make him a priority.

Amy: Yes? I'll do my best, but these things take as long as they take.

Lisa: I understand, I have just spent so much money on Flyer, and
it's... having an impact on my business. So I just need you to get to
the bottom of it, as soon as possible. Okay?

Amy: Okay.

Lisa: Thanks.

[Lisa walks away leaving Amy thinking with a puzzled expression on her
face.]

[OPENING MUSIC LYRICS]
And at the break of day
you sank into your dream
You dreamer
Oh, oh, oh, oh
You dreamer
You dreamer
[MUSIC ENDS]

[Outside of diner "Maggie's, Feed Store, English & Western Tack & Feed]

[Inside diner Georgie and Adam are talking at counter. Georgie is dress
in her waiters outfit at work.]

Adam: I'm sorry, Georgie, not happening.

Georgie: C'mon Adam.

Adam: No. Forget it.

Georgie: Please? Do it for me?

[Adam gives an Exasperated sigh]

Adam: Fine. OK. I have some time tomorrow afternoon.

Georgie: (Smiling) Thanks. It means a lot.

Adam: See ya.

Georgie: See ya.

[Adam leaves and Jade steps next to Georgie also a employee of Maggie's
Dinner and starts to talk.]

Jade: What was that all about?

Georgie: Oh, Wyatt failed his math final so I asked Adam to tutor him.
Now all I have to do is convince Wyatt.

Jade: Okay. That's a terrible idea.

Georgie: Why?

Jade: Well, for starters they have nothing in common. And, you know, it
can get to be pretty messy when different parts of your life start to
interact, especially different parts of your love life.

Georgie: Love life? Wyatt and I are just friends and so are Adam and I now.

Jade: Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you.

[Lou and Jen are in the back of the Feed and Tack part of Maggie's
discussing business.]

Lou: So we just got in a new shipment, so we're pretty good for stock
right now. But the inventory is tracked through the register, so you'll
know when you'll need to re-order.

Jen: Okay.

[Lou and Jen enter the restaurant part of the store and bump into
Georgie and Jade.]

Georgie: Hey, how's it going so far?

Jen: I've got a lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to diving in. Lou
tells me you two have been working here a while, so I'm really counting
on your help to get me up to speed.

Jade: Well, I have a lot of great ideas, if you're open to suggestions.

Jen: Yes, of course.

Jade: Okay. Great. Because last year I pitched this open mic night. It
was awesome, everybody loved it. And of course Tim reneged on his
promise to do more of them, and...

Lou: (cuts Jade off) You know this really a more of a show-and-tell day
for Jen why don't we let her settle in.

[Lou and Jen continue on sitting down at the counter.]

Jen: So a sister location, huh? Brooklyn, New York! Wow!

Lou: Yeah. Wow. It's all feeling pretty crazy right about now.

Jen: That's a big deal. are you doing anything to celebrate?

Lou: I don't know, I hadn't thought about it. I mean, it's a nice idea,
but I'm pretty swamped as it is so...

Jen: Well, thank you for the tour. I should get going and pick up Brick.
It was really nice of Jack to offer to watch him.

Lou: He's happy to do it. And Katie.

Jen: Wow, what a life saver. You know, Brick took his dad's death pretty
hard. And he even stopped speaking for a while. So it is so nice to see
him come out of his shell with your daughter.

Lou: Yeah.

Jen: Makes me feel like moving here wasn't a bad decision. And that was
too much information.

Lou: Not at all. And you know what? Katie loves Brick; she hasn't
stopped talking about him.

Jen: That's great I'm a little worried what's gonna happen when Katie
goes back to New York. Anyways I'll see you tomorrow.

Lou: Okay.

Jen: Thank you.

[Jen leave the store. Lou looks back as she was leaving.]

[Amy is now at Heartland riding Flyer]

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on.

Flyer: Snorts.

[Flyer is acting up, turning his head, and fighting Amy. She gives a
frustrated grunt.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on, boy. Let's go!

[A truck drives down the ranch road passing by Amy toward the ranch house.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Flyer, stretch out! come on, come on.

[Flyer shakes his head rattling his tack.]

Flyer: Snorts.

Amy: (to Flyer) Get up, get up! Let's go!

[Flyer does not settle down still giving Amy a slow ride.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on.

[Flyer starts turning right but Amy holds his head forward. He is not
wanting to run full out.]

Amy: (to Flyer) That's better. come on, come on!

[Flyer starts to run better.]

Amy: (to Flyer) There we go!

[Amy heads Flyer toward the ranch house. Coming toward her is Georgie
still in her waitress outfit. Amy slows Flyer down as they come to the
fence gate.]

Flyer: Snorts.

Georgie: Who's this guy?

Amy: Fairfield Flyer, Lisa's racehorse.

[Amy dismounts Flyer.]

Flyer: Whinnies.

Amy: (to Flyer) Hey! Hey! Hey!

[Flyer rears up but Amy holds him.]

Amy: Whoa.

Georgie: What's up with him?

Amy: Most racehorses can be high-strung, this guy is beyond nervous. I'm
trying to get him to calm down a little bit.

Georgie: What are you going to do?

Amy: (She sighs.) I think I'm gonna put him in the barn with the other
horses. See if that mellows him out. Then I'm gonna call Lise's trainer.

[In side the house Katie is at the table playing with her tea set. From
the kitchen walks Lou.]

Lou: Hey kiddo.

Katie: Hi mommy.

[Lou moves next to Katie and bends over.]

Lou: Do you mind if I join you?

Katie: Hm hm.

[Katie is pretend poring a cup of tea. Lou sits down next to Katie.]

Lou: How was your day?

Katie: Good.

[Lou looks down at Katie and smiles.]

Katie: We helped GG baby-sit Lyndy, and tomorrow we're gonna help him
fix the fence!

Lou: That sounds awesome. Hey, listen, sweetheart. I was talking to
daddy, What do you think spending the summer here?

Katie: Like Georgie?

Lou: Yeah, exactly like Georgie. You could be with everybody here, ride
your pony, hang out with Brick whenever you want.

[Katie gives Lou a hug.]

Katie: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!

[Katie end the hug.]

Katie: Will you be here?

Lou: I have to go back to New York. but I am gonna come and visit you
and Georgie as much as I can. And your daddy is gonna be here a lot too.

Katie: I am gonna miss you, Mommy.

Lou: I'm gonna miss you too.

[In side the kitchen of the house Jack, Lisa, and Amy holding Lyndy.]

Lisa: (To Amy) I'm gonna get my trainer to call you.

Amy: Okay.

Lisa: Okay.

Amy: Thanks for dinner.

Jack: You give us a shout if you need anything.

[Amy smiles at Lisa and Jack.]

Amy: Will do.

[Lou walks into the kitchen.]

Lou: So I just talked to Katie about the summer. And it turns out she'd
really like to stay here too. It was nice of you two to offer. Of
course, Peter and I, ....

[Lou's phone rings]

Lou: We're gonna be here as much as we can. I'm sorry.

[Points at her phone.]

Lou: I gotta, I just gotta take this.

[Lou exits to the dining room but Lisa and Jack can still hear her talking.]

Lou: (from dining room) Nicole, hi. What's up?

[Jack is doing dishes. Lisa turns and gives Jack a "What The" look.]

Jack: I was gonna tell you.

Lisa: (angry) How could you not run that by me first?

Jack: I didn't think I had to.

Lisa: Jack.

Jack: Lis. This is a good thing. Katie will be with family, and not with
some nanny in New York City.

[Lisa turns away from Jack.]

Lisa: I know, but that's so much.

[Lisa makes a Big Exhale and turns back.]

Lisa: Yes, you're right of course, I'm sorry. It's just I have a lot on
my plate.

Jack: Now, we've talked about this. What's going on?

Lisa: Okay, this is just between you and me though, okay?

Jack: All right.

Lisa: I couldn't find a tenant for my house in France. And I stand to
lose Fairfield. It's been with my family forever, and I cannot be the
one to lose it. So I'm seeing the bank in the morning to refinance, I
need money to cover costs until everything is finalized, and so I'm
forced to sell Flyer. I felt okay about it because Nathan Stockwell, I
like his operation; I like how he treats his animals. But he's backed
out because of how Flyer is behaving. If Amy doesn't figure out what's
wrong with him, and I can't convince him to reconsider, then I'm going
to have to auction him.

Jack: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that.

[Lisa steps into Jacks open arms and cries.]

[Georgie and Amy are in her apartment in the barn, making phone calls
while Georgie is looking up on the computer Fairfield Stables.]

Amy: (on phone) Nothing else you can tell me.

[A pause to listen. ]

Amy: (on phone) I appreciate it. Thanks. Bye.

[Amy exhale and goes over to Georgie who is on the computer and sits on
the corner of the desk.]

Georgie: You okay?

Amy: (tired) Yeah. It was just a really long night.

Georgie: Lyndy?

Amy: No... Flyer. He was so restless. He just kept pacing in his stall
calling out.

Georgie: Was that Lisa's trainer?

Amy: Yeah. He said Flyer hasn't been performing very well over the past
couple of months. But nothing in his routine has changed. He still has
the same trainers, the same workout routine, the same food. Same people
around him.

Georgie: Well, it looks like he lives a pretty pampered life.

[Georgie is looking at the web sight of Fairfield Stables, the pages of
the horses.

Amy: Most racehorses do. You know, they train hard so they need to be
well rested.

[In the stable Flyer]

Flyer: Snorts.

Amy: If he's not settled at night, that might be the reason why he's not
performing.

Georgie: Yeah, I guess that can make sense. But here's what I don't get.

[Georgie looks down at the web sight]

Georgie: It says here that he won a bunch of races eight years ago.

Amy: Flyer is a three year old. That can't be the same horse.

Georgie: How can this be wrong?

Amy: I don't know, I'm gonna go find out.

[Jack and Lisa are siting at the kitchen table. Jack is reading a
article from a copy of the Hudson Times news paper.

Jack: It says here a trailer carrying goats slid into the ditch on
Highway 10,

[Amy walk into the main house behind Jack and Lisa.]

Jack: (continues reading) And several of the goats escaped.

[Jack chuckles Amy walks by them toward the sink]

Lisa: Hi, did you talk to my trainer?

[Amy puts her water bottle by the sink and turns toward Lisa.]

Amy: I did. And I didn't really find out anything new, but Georgie found
an article on your website... Flyer is a three year old. How did he win
races eight years ago?

Lisa: Oh he didn't, technically.

Amy: What do you mean?

Lisa: The horse that you are working with is not the original Fairfield
Flyer, the one that won the races. This one is a clone.

Amy: A clone? Why didn't you tell me this before?

Lisa: Maybe I anticipated this response, but I don't see why it matters.

Amy: First of all, I have a lot of concern for the health and welfare of
cloned horses.

Lisa: Amy, you know horses get the best of everything. Which is why I
don't understand what's happening with Flyer, he should be performing
like his genetic twin.

Amy: That doesn't guarantee that he's gonna be a winner! Lisa, who even
buys a cloned racehorse?

Lisa: Lots of people do, Amy. In face, my purchaser was prepared to pay
a premium for him.

Amy: I thought the racing association didn't allow cloned horses to compete.

Lisa: Clones are an accepted in polo, and the Olympics, and other
equestrian events. And before long the racing world will be on board
too. What is the big deal for you about a cloned horse?

Amy: For starters, cloning can result in malformed organs, respiratory
issues compromised immune system.

Lisa: OK, Amy, if you don't wanna work with the horse, that's fine. I'll
find someone who does!

Amy: Yeah. Well, maybe you should!

Lisa: Fine.

Jack: Okay, I think we can all just take a breath.

[Lisa jumps up and starts to storms out]

Lisa: I don't really have time for a breath. I have a meeting in town.
Excuse me.

[Lisa leaves angry. Amy scoffs.]

Amy: Did you know about this?

Jack: No. No I didn't. She could have been a little more up front about
it, I guess.

Amy: Yeah. She could have. Cloning! I mean, how long has she been doing
this anyway? How long has she been doing this anyway. What was she
thinking. That the first Flyer made a whole bunch of money so let's just
clone him and make some more! Since when has Lisa been just about the money?

Jack: It's never been just about the money for Lisa... that's part of
what got her in this position.

Amy: What position?

Jack: Being forced to sell a horse she doesn't wanna sell.

Amy: Hold on, if she doesn't want to sell the horse, then why is she?

[Jack gave Amy a reluctant grunt.]

[Georgie and Wyatt are sitting at the counter on the stools in Maggie's
Dinner.]

Georgie: Maybe if you had a tutor you'd have a chance at passing the retest.

Wyatt: Yeah, maybe, but who?

Georgie: Adam.

Wyatt: You serious? No. No way. I don't even know the guy.

Georgie: He agreed to help.

Wyatt: You talked to him about it already?

Georgie: Actually, he'll be here any second.

Wyatt: Seriously?

Georgie: Come on. I'm just trying to help you out. So? Will you do it?
Please? He can be a little hard to get to know at first, and he might
seem a little bit odd, but...

[In walks Adam and heads over to the counter, takes off his backpack,
and sits.]

Adam: We should get started.

[Wyatt look at Georgie. She gives him a two handed thumbs up before
going back to work. She meets up with Jade.]

Jack: (sarcastic) So that went well.

[Georgie ignores Jade as she looks with a smile on her face.]

[Amy and Jack are in the ranch house around the table.]

Amy: I had no idea.

Jack: Amy, I don't want you to do anything that makes you feel
uncomfortable...

Amy: I don't agree with it, grandpa. but I will see what I can do to help.

Jack: It'll mean a lot... to Lisa and to me. Thank you.

[Lou and Jen are standing in the court yard of the Dude Ranch. Jen is
standing in a small area with a pole fence, wood chairs placed around a
stone fire pit. Beyond the pole fence is a large pond looking at the
view. Lou is walking with her phone texting.]

Jen: What a beautiful spot.

Lou: Well, it's a mess right now. And it's normally full of guests this
time of year. But with me away in New York things have fallen through
the cracks.

Jen: Now, you got me. Don't worry, I'll get it all cleaned up and get
your bookings back on track.

Lou: I'm so happy to hear you say that. You have no idea. And by the
way, if you have any suggestions about this place or Maggie's... just
let me know. I'm all about empowering the people I work with.

[Lou turns to leave but Jen stops her.]

Jen: Actually then, I do have one suggestion.

Lou: Oh, already... fire away.

Jen: Last night, I was thinking about the launch in New York, what if we
did something at the diner to celebrate? Hold an event? Just before you
leave. Something little, maybe with music?

Lou: You know that open mic night Jade talked about, really wasn't as
successful as she made it sound.

Jen: Maybe, but it's really about celebrating your success, plus it
would give me a chance to meet my customers!

[Lou's phone chimes. Lou looks at it. It is Mitch.]

Lou: Oh sorry.

[Lou reads the texts and answers.]

Lou: (text from Mitch) Hey, can we talk?

Mitch: (text from Lou) Later. In town picking up supplies.

Lou: (text from Mitch) With Jen at the Dude Ranch. Heading into town
soon. Meet there?

Mitch: (text from Lou) Sure. Meet me at the park when you're done.

[Texts ends.]

Lou: Um, okay, sure...

Jen: Great! Then I will head to Maggie's now.

Lou: Great. I'll meet you there.

[Lou sends more texts after Lou leaves.]

[City park with large open red on white gazebo in center. Lou is sitting
on a white painted bench as Mitch carrying drinks toward her.]

Mitch: I just finished picking up supplies. I was heading back to Heartland

Lou: Well good.

[Mitch hands Lou a drink and then sits down beside her.]

Lou: Look at us having a coffee date.

[Mitch takes off his cowboy hat and kisses Lou. He pulls away and starts
to talk.]

Mitch: (chuckles) Lou...

[He puts his hat down on the bench seat.]

Mitch: What are we doing here?

Lou: OK. OK. I guess we have to talk about this eventually. I know you
didn't come back here for me, but here you are... and here I am. Maybe
we can just forget about last year? Start fresh.

[Mitch cringes but let Lou continue to talk.]

Lou: (continues) Look... things are still crazy busy for me in New York,
and they're only gonna get more nuts as we ramp up to open. Honestly? I
can't wait for it to be over. But Katie and Georgie are here and I'm
gonna be back a lot more and... maybe we could just... see what happens?

Mitch: I don't-I don't wanna see what happens. The fact is, Lou that I...

[Mitch sighs deeply.]

Mitch: I'm in love with you. And I'm in this, if you are.

Lou: Yes. Yes, I'm-I'm-I'm in. I'm so in.

Mitch: Yeah?

Lou: Yeah.

[At the counter in Maggie's, Adam is helping Wyatt with his math.]

Adam: (reading from math book) Ed cuts a piece of paper from one corner
to the other making two triangles. If the paper is 8 centimeters' long
and 5 centimeters' wide, how long is--

[Adams phone rings playing a song and he answers it.]

Adam: (to Wyatt) I've gotta take this.

Adam: (on phone) Hey, did you get the tickets?

[There is a short pause.]

Adam: (on phone) Awesome! Okay... I can't really talk.

[Adam glances quickly at Wyatt]

Adam: I'll call you later. Bye.

Adam: (to Wyatt) Sorry. My girlfriend.

Wyatt: Was that ring tone Endless Days?

Adam: Yeah. I'm a big fan.

Wyatt: I have never met anyone who's even heard of them.

Adam: You're kidding? You're into music?

Wyatt: Yeah. Big time. I even mess around a bit on the ukulele.

Adam: Cool.

Wyatt: You heard any of their other stuff or just that?

Adam: I have the whole collection. I have it on, I have it vinyl. You
want to go back to my place and listen to it.

Wyatt: Sounds good.

[Adam and Wyatt start gathering their papers. Georgie who had been
watching and listening comes over to them.]

Georgie: Hey, how's it going?

Wyatt: Not bad.

Georgie: Where are you off to?

Adam: My place.

Wyatt: Yeah, he's got a really cool record collection. So we're just
gonna go study there.

[Adam gets up and heads toward the door.]

Georgie: (to Wyatt) I thought you and I were gonna do something later.
My shift is almost over.

Wyatt: Yeah. We'll just... hang out after?

Georgie: Yeah. Okay... sure.

Wyatt: Okay, bye.

[Jade comes over to Georgie.]

Jade: Well, looks like the odd balls hit it off. I guess everything
worked out for you after all.

[Georgie realized that she had been dumped.]

[Amy is alone in one of the outside corrals rubbing Flyer down.]

Amy: (Flyer) Food boy.

[She continues to rub Flyer as she softly talk to him in a gentle voice.]

Amy: (Flyer) See, that feels good, doesn't it?

[Behind her Lisa quietly walks up behind Amy. Hearing something Amy
looks up and sees Lisa.]

Amy: Lisa.

Lisa: Hi.

[Amy continues to rub Flyer.]

Lisa: Look... I'm-I'm sorry. Of course I should've told you that he's a
clone.

Amy: (sighs) It's okay. I went and had Cassandra from the vet clinic out
to check him over, and you were right, there is nothing physically
wrong. She said that message might help calm him down.

Lisa: I'm surprised after our conversation that you're working on him at
all.

Amy: Don't think this means that I'm suddenly okay with cloning. Because
I'm not. But Grandpa told me about your... financial problems... and I
would like to do whatever I can to help him go to a good home.

Lisa: Well... I appreciate that. Thank you.

[Lyndy starts to cry.]

Amy: (turns to Lisa) Bur right now, I have a little girl who needs me.

Lisa: Of course.

[Lisa turns to the retreating Amy and gives a look of disbelief.]

[Jen and Lou are exiting the front door of Maggie's Diner.]

Jen: I think I wanna open it up and expand the party outside.

Lou: Outside?

Jen: Yeah! Can't you picture it with the stage and the lights, and all
kinds of stuff.

Lou: Oh Jen... I don't know. I remember my Dad grumbling about some town
by-laws.

Jen: Oh yeah, I've already cleared it with Municipal Services.

Lou: You did?

Jen: Yeah. It's the kind of person I am, But I know you're really busy
so I will take care of everything.

Lou: Okay.

Jen: Okay, I gotta go. Sorry.

[Jen races off back inside Maggie's Diner to meet a customer waiting.]

Jen: Hey, let me take care of that.

Man: (customer) Okay.

[Lou is surprised. She exhales as she turns and enters Maggie's Diner.]

[Heartland front driveway. Mitch is watching Katie and Brick riding
horses. In front is Jack leading his horse and a white goat.]

Katie: Mitch look we found a goat. I named him Floppy. Isn't she adorable?

Jack: I found him up in on the north fence line.

[Mitch walks over to get a better look at the goat. The goat tries to
make a get-away but Jacks roap stops it.]

Jack: Come back here now. I'm guessing it came from that accident.

Mitch: Oh yeah. Yeah, I heard about that.

Jack: I didn't think it would be a good idea to leave it out there on
its own. So I brought it home.

Mitch: Probably be an easy target.

Jack: Well, if you find a place to put it I'll call the newspaper.

[Jack heads for the house. Mitch takes control of Floppy.

Floppy: Bleats.

Mitch: Sure, great. Okay kids; let's get this goat settled in.

Katie: Okay.

Brick: Come on, Floppy.

Floppy: Bleats.

[Mitch, Floppy, Katie, and Brick head for the barn to take care of the
horses and Floppy.]

[Inside the ranch house kitchen is Lisa. Jack enters.]

Jack: Lis, you'll never guess--

[Jack stops and in front of him are two travel bags.]

Jack: What's this?

Lisa: This isn't working. You clearly do not respect the severity of my
situation or-or my time.

[Jack takes off his cowboy hat as he looks at Lisa in shock.]

Jack: Well... I think that's overstating things a little.

Lisa: Is it? You-you agreed to have Katie come and stay with us for the
entire summer without checking with me. And...

Jack: And what?

Lisa: You ask me to share things with you and then you break your
promise by telling Amy about my personal finances! Did you realize that
if it gets out, it can jeopardize any business dealings.

Jack: Amy's not about to tell anyone--

Lisa: You don't know that! We're clear not on the same page about this.
And I just don't... I'm going back to Fairfield.

[Lisa being all worked up grabs her files bag and puts it over her
shoulder and heads to her bags and picks them up.]

Jack: For how long?

Lisa: I don't know. This isn't working for me right now.

[The door slams behind her.]

[Katie is out by the chicken pen in the side yard by the barn. She is
feeding Floppy the goat.]

Katie: There you go, Floppy.

[Leaning against Mitch's truck is Georgie and Mitch.]

Georgie: He's adorable!

[Mitch chuckles.]

Mitch: (to Geordie) So? I hear you're sticking around for the summer.

Geordie: Yeah. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to compete on Flame.

Mitch: Yeah, that makes sense. Sounds like Lou is gonna be around a lot
more too, once they open up that new location.

Geordie: I doubt it.

[Her and Nicole are talking about opening another one. I know she want's
to be home more, but I don't know how realistic that is.]

Mitch: Ha.

[The fields have a gentle wind blowing through them. The mountains have
a haze. Inside the ranch house there is a cold sadness because Lisa is
no longer there. Georgie walks into the house and finds a sad Jack
siting at the kitchen table deep in thought. She can hear her own
footsteps as she walks beside Jack.]

Georgie: You okay, Jack?

[Jack jumps at the sound of Georgie's voice.]

Jack: I thought you were going out?

Georgie: I was, but Wyatt bailed. He's studying with Adam instead.

Jack: Oh.

[Lou comes into the kitchen with a baby carrier.]

Lou: Shh. I'm baby siting for a bit.

[She puts the baby carrier into an empty kitchen chair and looks in.]

Lou: (to Lyndy) There we go. Amy is working with Lisa's horse.

[Lou starts rocking the baby carrier.]

Georgie: Oh well, my plans fell through. I can see if I can go help.

Lou: I think Amy would like that.

[Georgie leaves for the barn.]

Lou: Where is Lisa anyway?

Jack: Well, she's over at Fairfield.

Lou: Oh? Can I expect her for dinner?

Jack: I doubt she'll make it tonight.

Lou: Why? Is something wrong? Everything okay?

Jack: I'm not exactly sure.

Lou: Look, I know that Lisa and I don't always see eye to eye, but Amy
might have accidentally let it slip that Lisa is having money problem's.

Jack: So, now you know too? See this is... I shouldn't have said
anything. Lou, it's really none of your business.

Lou: I know. It's not. But I also know how stressful money problems can
be. I mean, it's been life for the past year, grandpa. It just sounds
like she's going through a lot.

Jack: Yeah. She was pretty upset when she left here. I didn't get much
chance to apologize and...

Lou: What's stopping you now?

Jack: Hmm.

[Out at the barn Georgie and Amy are exiting with Flyer.]

Georgie: You ever worked with a clone before?

Amy: Not that I've known of.

Georgie: I don't think it matters how he made it into this world. I
think he just needs to be treated like any other horse. I get that he's
supposed to be a big sh*t racehorse, and maybe he doesn't wanna be? He
supposedly had this great life, but seemed kind of boring and lonely to me.

[Georgie turns and walks away.]

Amy: Maybe she's right.

Floppy: Bleats.

[Flyer turns his head toward Floppy.]

Flyer: Snorts at Floppy.

[Amy follows the horse head and what he had just done.]

Floppy: Bleats back at Flyer.

[Amy smiles for the first time in days.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Do you two wanna meet?

Floppy: Bleats.

[Georgie moves Floppy into a fenced in area and holds him.]

Amy: Okay, Georgie let him go.

[Georgie drops the leash holding Floppy.]

Amy: Come on, Floppy.

[With Georgie f behind Floppy he heads straight to Flyer.]

Amy: I've heard that some racehorses can become really attached to
things like goats or pigs.

Georgie: Seriously?

Amy: I know it seems like a weird pairing, but I guess sometimes it just
works.

Georgie: So what do we do now?

Amy: Well, we'll let these guys hangout and get to know each other and
then maybe... Fairfield Flyer will be a little bit more relaxed and
focused on the track.

[Both Flyer and Floppy nuzzle and stay close.]

Georgie: Just like Wyatt and Adam.

Amy: What?

Georgie: Wyatt is struggling with math, so I asked Adam to help tutor him...

Amy: Okay.

Georgie: Wyatt and I were gonna hang out but he decided to tutor with
Adam instead. Then we were gonna hangout tonight and he bailed on me
again. I think he just wants to hangout with Adam. We're supposed to be
friends, so I don't know why he can't just be honest with me.

Amy: Are you sure that's what's bothering you?

Georgie: What do you mean?

Amy: Maybe you're interested in Wyatt as more then just a friend?

[Amy is in the barn when the door opens in steps Jack. In the back
corner Flyer and Floppy are tethered together.]

Jack: Well, I figured I'd come see this for my self.

[Amy chuckles.]

Amy: It's like he's a totally different horse.

Flyer: Snorts.

Jack: Well, you should know that... if he improves enough, Lisa is
hoping her buyer will take another look.

Amy: Yup. And who's the buyer?

Jack: Uh, Nathan Stockwell.

Amy: I know him. His daughter was a client of mine. Do you think maybe
it would help if I talked to him?

Jack: Well, it couldn't hurt. But here is the thing; Lisa doesn't want
word about her situation getting out.

Amy: Yeah, I get it. I won't, Grandpa.

Floppy: Bleats.

Jack: Ah. The goat's owner called me back. He's coming to get it.

Amy: Well, that can't happen.

Jack: What? Well, it's his goat. Prized goat apparently. I don't think
I've ever said those tow words together.

Amy: Grandpa, I'm not kidding, we can't separate these two. I mean, look
at them? This is the answer to Flyers problem. You've gotta figure
something out... For Flyer's sake and for Lisa's.

[Amy dressed up as a jockey holding Flyers lead and Georgie holding
Floppy's lead are in the front area of Heartland home.]

Georgie: Wow. Flyer does seem calmer.

Amy: Yeah, I guess he needed a security blanket.

[They both laugh.]

Georgie: Wow what now?

Amy: Well, let's see if it helped.

[Amy mounts Flyer and starts the run around the track. He is running
like a champion with Amy riding. She is smiling and having fun. Jack is
holding Lyndy.]

Jack: See, Lyndy, wave. Wave!

[Jack and Lyndy are waving.]

[Flyer and Amy race by Floppy held by Georgie. They ride up to Jack and
Lyndy and stop.]

Jack: Yeah, he's really coming along.

[Lou comes up and stands by Jack.]

Amy: Well, we should head out. Don't wanna be late.

Jack: Okay. Well, Amy you need to get ready.

[Jack hands Lyndy to Lou and takes the rains from Amy.]

Jack: I'll untack Flyer.

Amy: Thanks, Grandpa.

Lou: Hey, are you sure you don't wanna come? You know, Jen hasn't had
much time to put this together so there probably won't be many people there.

Jack: The one less body won't make difference. Plus I've got a few
things I need to take care of.

[Amy, Lyndy, and Lou arrive at Maggie's grand opening party. There are
people everywhere. There is drinks, country music and all sorts of items
to help a farmer out.]

Lou: Wow, this looks amazing!

Amy: Yeah!

Lou: Hey Jade.

Jade: Maggie's resident mixologist at your service

Lou: Wow, Maggie's has a mixologist?

[Both Amy and Lou take a tall glass of green juice from Jade.]

Lou: What are these?

Jade: No jitos.

Amy: (to Lou) Mmm. They're actually pretty good.

Lou: Mmm.

Jade: Yeah, if you guys like these you should try the real ones.

Lou: Chuckles.

[Lou looks around in the crowd and spots Mitch. They head toward each
other.]

Lou: Hey.

Mitch: Hey.

Lou: I didn't know you were coming.

Mitch: I had to congratulate the women of the hour.

Lou: Thank you.

[Amy finds Mitch and Lou.]

Amy: Hey, um, I'll catch up with you guys in a bit, there's someone I
need to meet.

Lou: (waves at Amy) Okay.

[Jen spots Lou and heads toward her. They meet in a hug.]

Jen: Lou! It's the guest of honor!

Lou: Hi. Oh my Gosh! This is amazing. Honestly I didn't think you could
pull it off in such short notice.

Jen: Neither did I.

[Both laugh]

Lou: Oh, I'm sorry. This Jen.

Mitch: Oh yeah, you're the new manager around here

Lou: And at the Dude Ranch. And this is Mitch, my--

Mitch: I work at Heartland with Tim and Jack.

Jen: Right. So nice to finally meet you. Okay, well... I'm gonna get
back to it, meet my customers. Have fun!

Lou: Okay. Listen, this time around, I really think that we should be up
front with people about our status.

Mitch: Yeah... about that.

Lou: What?

Mitch: You know what? This isn't really the time or place--

Lou: That doesn't sound good. Now you have to tell me.

Mitch: I'm really happy for you. For all your success with New York. I
mean, you... you deserve it.

Lou: But...

Mitch: But, I mean, this is only the beginning of your "American
Expansion." You guys are planning on opening up other locations, right?

Lou: Yeah, we've discussed it. Why?

Mitch: Listen, having you back here in my life has been... has been
amazing. And I got caught up, I did, but I have to be realistic here.

Lou: Where is this coming from? Mitch you said--

Mitch: I know. I know what I said. And I meant it. I do, every word.

Lou: So then what is the problem?

Mitch: I can't do this, Lou, I... I thought I could, but I...

Lou: Mitch...

Mitch: I can't. No misread signs, no misunderstandings. Although that
has been our go to. The bottom line is that you're not gonna be around
here. And I'd never be happy there, so the ball's in your court. You
have to decide what's important to you.

[Mitch gives Lou a kiss on the cheek. Lou gives a sigh of sadness.]

[Amy is sitting around a table with Nathan Stockwell.]

Amy: Thank you for meeting with me.

Nathan: Least I could do. Emma still talks about how you helped her out.

Amy: How is she doing? How's Thunder doing?

Nathan: They're both doing really well. Emma's getting married this fall.

Amy: Tell her congratulations form me.

Nathan: I will. Yeah, it's pretty crazy how the time flies. If you don't
that already, you're about to learn. So? Lisa tells me you're working
with Flyer?

Amy: I am. And I think he's worth another look.

Nathan: Well, I have to admit I did have high hopes. But I wasn't all
that impressed with his performance.

Amy: Well, we found some issues with his training routine, so we've
changed them, and it's made a huge impact. I really think it's worth
your time.

Nathan: I tell you what, I've got a young racehorse in my stable. Now
he's been on a winning streak. What do you say we put them head-to-head
on the track, see what happens.

Amy: Sounds like a plan.

[Amy holds out her hand and they shake.]

[Amy chuckles and Lyndy coos.]

[Back at Maggie's party there is a Country song sung by a female
singer. Jen is happy with all the chatter and laughter of the guests.
Georgie, Adam and Wyatt are talking. Georgie is not happy, no smile or
laughter. She is just quiet.]

Wyatt: I just took a crazy, tough practice test today.

Georgie: Oh, yeah?

Wyatt: Yeah! The good news is I passed! So I'm gonna take the retest.

Adam: He's totally ready.

Georgie: Well, yeah, that's... that's cool, it's great... I need to get
back to the kitchen so...

[Wyatt fallows her a few steps.]

Wyatt: Hey Georgie,

[Georgie stops and turns.]

Wyatt: You okay?

Georgie: (she looks down) Yeah. Of course!

Wyatt: Yeah? Because.. I don't know you seem kinda off. What... what's
wrong?

Georgie: It's you and Adam. Just didn't expect you guys to become such
great friends all of a sudden.

Wyatt: Look, he's a great guy. And I might actually have an outside sh*t
of passing this retest now, and that wasn't even like remotely a
possibility last week. And that's thanks to you. And if I do pass, the
retest, then me and you can hang out more.

Georgie: So... you'd like that?

Wyatt: Yea. Dun. That's why I've been studying so hard. Okay, I'll prove
it to you. Stay here, okay? Don't... just don't leave.

Georgie: What are you doing?

[Wyatt turns and runs up on the stage.]

Wyatt: Hi. Can I just really quickly use this?

Girl: Oh sure.

Wyatt: Okay, thank you.

[Wyatt puts the strap on the borrowed small ukulele. He taps the
microphone.]

Wyatt:
Testing. Hi, um... I'm Wyatt and I've never done this before, but this
is for someone special out there.

[Wyatt begins to sing a song while playing the ukulele.]

[SONG]

There's not need to complicated
Dress it up or overstated

[Jen sees her son on the stage and is pleased at what her son is doing.]

Without too much hesitation
Here is the way I feel
I like you, I like you

[Lou likes Wyatt singing]

Even when I don't try to
Yes, I do, That's the truth
I like you
[Georgie stands and looks up at Wyatt singing to her and smiles. She
likes it.]

[END OF SONG]

[A car drives up in front Heartland home and gets out. It is Lisa. All
along the wood pole fence are strung Christmas. A dinner plate with
flowers and candle rest on a table inside the pole fence. Jack sees her
and perks up with love.]

Lisa: Holly Molly.

[Jack chuckles.]

Jack: Good to see you.

Lisa: What is going on here?

[They step together and hold hands.]

Jack: Lis. I'm sorry. I know you're under a lot of stress, and I should
have never have added to that. I know I said too much to Amy, but I'm
hoping you'll understand I was only trying to help. I could do more, I
would, but you gotta know. I'm in your corner.

Lisa: I know. And I'm sorry. I overreacted. I knew it's so not like me.

[Both laugh.]

Lisa: I wonder if I can come home.

Jack: You are.

[Both Lisa and Jack hug with smiles on their faces. Jack looks at the
table.]

Jack: Well...?

Lisa: (With tears in her eyes) Laughs.

Jack: I bought you something.

Lisa: You bought me something?

[Wyatt is still singing his song on the stage. Lou and Amy watch Wyatt
sing.]

Amy: Wow. That was adorable.

Lou: So cute.

Amy: Where's Mitch?

[All Lou can do is sigh. Amy understands.]

Georgie: Oh.

[Jen gets up on the stage.]

Jen: Thank you all so much for coming to this event. I'm Jen, Maggie's
new manager. And I'm so thrilled to be working here, and to meet each
and everyone of you personally.

[Lou and Amy hug each other as they watch Jen up on the stage.]

Jen: We are all here because of one very special person. So give it up
for Lou Fleming.

[All the attendees stand and clap and cheer.]

Audience: Yeah Lou!

[Amy looks at Lyndy in the stroller and turns to Lou.]

Amy: I should probably get her home.

Lou: Oh yeah, I'll come with you.

Amy: No. Lou, this is your day. Just stay and enjoy it.

Lou: Okay.

[Lou gives her younger sister Amy a hug.]

[In the barn at Heartland Jack and Lisa stair into a stall. Lisa is
totally taken back at the sight of Flyer and Floppy.]

Lisa: (surprise) Huh? A goat?

Jack: sure seems to settle Flyer down.

Lisa: Well, you sure know how to sweep a girl right off her feet, don't ya?

[Behind Jack and Lisa walks Amy with her Lyndy in her baby carrier in
her arms. Jack laughs.]

Amy: What do you think?

Lisa: Uh, I... I cannot believe how relaxed he is.

Amy: He is going to take on a young racehorse at the track tomorrow.

Lisa: He is? Really? Is he ready?

Amy: I'm counting on it. I convinced Nathan Stockwell to give him
another chance.

Lisa: You did? Oh my... Thank you so much. Thank you both.

Floppy: Bleats.

Flyer: Whinnies calmly.

[Next morning Amy and Lyndy are looking at a computer screen. Lyndy is
staring at the screen and smiling.]

Amy:
Oh, you look really tired. How are you?

[Ty is on the other end of the computer connection.]

Ty:
I'm all right... How's my little girl doing?

Amy: She's doing great.

[Lyndy is looking at her daddy with a wide grin.]

Amy: I think she misses her daddy though, don't you? Can you wave to
Daddy? Say hi.

[Amy raises Lyndys right arm and waves it.]

Ty: Daddy misses you too, Lyndy. And my other girl? That race is today
right?

Amy: Yeah. I am a little bit nervous about it.

Ty: Don't be. You're gonna do great.

Amy: Thanks. I love you.

Ty: I love you too. Both of you.

Amy: Bye, Daddy. Bye...

[At the race track the weather is heavy scattered clouds. Nathan and his
trainer Chuck are watching. Amy is on Flyer waiting for the race to
begin. Lisa, Jack, and Georgie and beside Georgie is Floppy are waiting
when Wyatt walks up.]

Georgie: Hey! You made it.

Wyatt: Yeah, yeah, of course. It's not every day you get to see a
private horse race.

Georgie: Yeah.

Floppy: Bleats.

Wyatt: Notice anything different?

Georgie: No. Should I?

Wyatt: Maybe. You're talking to a free man.

Georgie: I don't get it?

Wyatt: Yeah. Um... I took the retest and I... passed!

Georgie: (excited) No way! Congrats!

Wyatt: Thank you. So I guess you'll be seeing a lot of me this summer...
if you want.

[The two horses are lined up, both nervously jumping about. They are
snorting.]

[Lisa and Jack are nervous. Lisa shows it the most.]

[The flag girl drops the flag and the two horses are off. Flyer is
slower at the starting line. The other jokey cuts in front of Flyer but
Amy quickly moves Flyer to the outside putting them a half-of-a-body
behind. Flyer starts to drop behind which worries Lisa. Going around the
first curve Flyer is about 5 length behind. On the back stretch Flyer
has not gained any lead.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on! Come on! Come on!

[Amy and Flyer are falling behind.]

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on, boy!

[On the bottom turn Flyer is still behind.]

[As Flyer rounds the final turn into the final stretch Floppy sticks his
head out through the fence.]

Floppy: Bleats.

Amy: (to Flyer) Come on, boy!

[There is a smile on Amy's face when she feels Flyers burst of speed.
Flyer sees and hears Floppy and puts on a sudden burst of speed until
the the two horses are neck to neck.]

Flyer: Whinnies back at Floppy.

[Lisa sees Flyer neck to neck with the other horse.]

Lisa: (excited) Oh. Oh. Oh.

Amy: (talking to Flyer) Yes! Come on! Come on!

Lisa: (yelling) Amy!

Jack: She's making a move!

Georgie and Wyatt: (yelling) That's good!

[Flyer pulls past the other horse with only one half of the final
stretch. A broad smile is on Amy's face as she knows Flyer will win.]

Lisa: (jumping) Oh! Oh!

[Flyer continues to increase his lead as he crosses the finish line and
wins.]

Lisa: Come on! Oh my goodness! Yes! Yea!

Jack: Oh my goodness!

Georgie: She did it!

Wyatt: That's good.

Georgie: Yes!

[Georgie leads Floppy onto the race track to be with Flyer in the
winners circle. As Amy brings Flyer up to Lisa and Jack are excited.]

Lisa: (yells happily) You two were terrific out there.

Jack: Nice job, Amy!

Amy: It was all down to this guy!

Georgie: You were amazing

Wyatt: Yeah, that was really great.

Nathan: (walks up) Well, Lisa... I can admit when I'm wrong. He clocked
a fast time. You've got yourself a deal.

Lisa: Well, Nathan, it's actually a package deal now.

Nathan: What does that mean?

Lisa: The goat goes too. I made a promise... It's all or nothing.

Amy: (smiling) The goat helps him focus.

Nathan: The goat?

Floppy: Bleats.

Amy: Well, you saw with your own eyes.

Lisa: I mean, you want a winner, or not?

Nathan: Who can argue with that? Deal.

[Nathan and Lisa shook hands.]

Lisa: Thank you.

[Nathan turns and heads to the stables.]

Nathan: (to Chuck) Hey Chuck, I bought a goat!

[Lisa hears what Nathan told Chuck and laughs.]

Floppy: Bleats.

Lisa: (to Jack) That is the best present you ever gave me.
