Don't you know,
can't you guess?

Team Avalor
is the best!

I've never seen
Avalor so excited.

They should be.
This is the first Peace Festival

in over years.

I guess old Queen Shuriki
wasn't so into peace.

Not so much.

But now that she's gone,
I thought it would be good

to bring back the festival,

to celebrate
the lasting peace

between Avalor
and the kingdom of Cariza.

But we all know
the real reason

everybody's excited
about the Peace Festival.

BOTH: Olaball!

( whistle blowing )

About time
you two showed up.

Team Avalor,
fall in.

I hope you all had
a good night's sleep,

because you're going to practice
until I get tired.

Take it to the hoop!
Take it to the hoop!

Ha ha! Rico scores again!

Looking sharp, Rico.

Feeling sharp, coach.

With Rico on the team,

we're going to b*at Cariza
like a dusty rug.

Abuela, it's just
a friendly rivalry

between the two
royal courts, remember?

Friendly? Ha!

This game is for
all the tortillas.

Running drills. Go!

( chuckles )
I'll pick you up later.

When she's done with us,

you might have
to scrape us up later.

( whistle blows shrilly )

Less talking,
more running.

We have to make
empanadas
for the festival,

and less than
a day to do it.

( door bell jingles )

Gabriel!

Mamá! Papá!
Sorry I'm late.

I had to take the princess
to olaball practice.

Oh, how's the team look?

Think they're ready
for the big game?

Beats me. You know
I don't follow olaball.

( scoffs )
Who doesn't follow olaball?

Mijo, help me
with the filling.

It's about time we bring
that award back to Avalor.

Right, Papá?

Trophy. It's a trophy.

Right. Trophy.

You know, I actually work
with the team spiker.

Striker. He's called
a striker.

- Right. A striker.
- ( pan clatters )

Well, filling's done.

It's not good enough.
I'll have to redo it myself.

( sighs )
I'm trying to help.

What do you want
from me?

I want you to help me
run the bakery.

- ( both straining )
- We've already been
through this, Papá.

I'm a royal guard now,
not a baker.

The name of this bakery
is Nuñez and Son.

I'm Nuñez, you're
supposed to be the son.

( all coughing )

Ugh, my lucky jersey.

I gotta get
back to work.

Gabriel.

( door bell jingles )

Please stay.

Just once,

it would be nice
if something I did
made him happy, you know?

I know.

But you know how stubborn
your papá can be.

You make me happy, mijo.

Thanks, Mamá.

All right,
hot potato.

Hot potato.
Around the horn,

and thread
the needle.

Goal!

Ow, my ankle!

Rico down,
Rico down!

Rico?!

Oh!

It'll be okay, abuela.

Here, Luisa.
Some té de manzanilla

to calm your nerves.

We lost our best player.

How could he do this to me?

Abuela, Rico's the one
with the sprained ankle.

Oh, he'll be fine
in a week.

But we'll endure humiliation
and defeat for an entire year.

I'm sure we can find
someone else.

The game is in two days.

Where am I supposed to find
another big, strong player

on such short notice?

- ( door opens )
- Princess Elena.

Just wanted to
let you know I'm back.

( teacup shatters )

Lieutenant Nuñez.

How would you like to be
on the royal olaball team?

Uh, me?
On the team?

You should ask my dad.
He's the olaball player.

It is you we need.

Young, quick, strong.

I'm sure he'd love
to see you play.

You know what?

He would love
to see me play.

All right, I'm in.

( squealing happily )

Ah, that's my boy!

Defending Avalor's glory.

Well, that's kinda
what I already do.

You know,
as a royal guard?

Right, but this is better.

Let me show you some of
my signature moves.

I call this one
the Roberto Rhumba.

Hey, no hands in olaball.

Sorry. Reflexes.

This one's called
the Roberto Roundhouse.

BOTH: Goal!

Ah, you two.

King Joaquin,
it's so good
to see you again.

The feeling
is mutual, princess.

This is Queen Teresa,

and our daughter,
Caterina.

Queen Teresa.

And it's a pleasure
to meet you, Caterina.

You can call me Cat.
Everyone does.

Oh, you have
a Danaus plexippus

on your shoulder, sir.

A what?!

It's okay, Esteban.

Danaus plexippus
is the scientific name

for a caterpillar.

You know that, too?

Doesn't everyone?

Well, it looks like you two
have something in common.

Your Majesties,
let the Peace Festival begin!

Huddle up. Wait.

- Where's Gabe?
- Right here.

( gasps )

Welcome to the team--

Lieutenant Nuñez!

Okay, you know the rules.

Their goal, our goal.

You can use feet, legs,
arms, head, but no hands.

Now let's play
some olaball!

- Naomi!
- Armando!
- Gabe!

Sorry. I wasn't ready.

Let's try that again.

Roberto Rhumba!

I'll get that.

Roberto Roundhouse.

Wow. Gabe is...

- Terrible.
- Yeah.

Ugh! Take five.

No, take ten.

Oh, just take away Avalor's
chance of winning the trophy.

Gabe, are you okay?

What's going on?

I hoped I'd be better
than when I was a kid,

but nope,
I'm still awful.

Then why did you
join the team?

Look, my dad only cares
about two things in this world:

baking and olaball.

And I'm no baker,
so that leaves olaball.

I know it's gonna
sound corny,

but I thought if I could
help the team win the trophy,

then I'd finally do
something to make him proud.

I know.

Pretty ridiculous.

Sorry, princess.

Thank you for
giving me a chance.

I don't want to
drag down the team.

I'm afraid I must
withdraw.

Yes! I mean, what a shame.

- He's not quitting.
- Yes, I am.
- Yes, he is.

Nope. I'm gonna
train him myself.

We'll work day and night.

We only have
a day and a night.

Well, that's more than
enough time.

Are you sure
about this, Elena?

Gabe, this is
important to you,

and that makes it
important to me.

So you'll
stay on the team?

If the coach
still wants me.

Abuela.

( sighs ) If you feel
that strongly about it, mija.

I do, so
let's get to work.

All right. I won't
let you down, I promise.

Team Avalor!

Ooh. Okay.

We'll work on
that, too.

( laughing )

BOTH: Whoa!

ISABEL: The voladores!

CAT: Looks like the ropes unwind
from some kind of wooden plank.

I'd love to get up there
and see how it works.

Hey, maybe they could
take us up.

Caterina, Isabel,
time for dinner.

ELENA: Almost.
Almost.

Almost.

I'm getting really
good at almost.

Come on, Gabe.
Just make one hoop.

The Roberto Rhumba.

I don't know why
I can't get it.

I've seen my dad
do these moves a zillion times.
