[engine rumbling]

[squeals]

Oh!

Ha-ha!

Ah!

[sputtering]

Huh?

[engine stops]

Uh-oh.

Ooh!

Whee! [laughing]

Whoo-hoo! Ah.

[squeals]

[gasping]

[screams]

[grunts]

[angry chattering, muffled]

[chattering continues]

[Charlie Brown] Snoopy! Breakfast!

Sorry for the rush service, Snoopy, but I'm late for the school space play.

Aaah! [grunts]

I knew I should have accounted for drag.

Ah-ooh?

[rocket whistles]

Sorry.

-Ah! -[metal clangs]

No dogs allowed!

Or birds.

[grumbling]

[children chattering]

[chatters, laughs]

Aha!

[metal clattering]

[Woodstock] Aha!

[Snoopy] Ha-ha-ha.

Places, everybody.

That's your cue, Charlie Brown.

Behold!

I am a mighty telescope, the window to the cosmos.

Ugh! Good grief.

What do I spy up in the sky?

I am the sun, the star around which all eight planets in our solar system revolve.

-Whee! -Ugh.

-Whee! -[laughing]

-[Woodstock giggling] -I am the powerful Saturn V rocket.

I helped send the very first humans all the way to the moon.

Beep-beep. Asteroid coming through.

Aaah! Ugh.

Oh!

I am humankind's intangible wonder, as we gaze upon the stars.

[pulley squeaking]

You look nothing like an intangible wonder.

I am a satellite circling Earth, receiving and bouncing information back home.

Without me, there wouldn't be television.

You're welcome.

[children cheering, applauding]

I am an astronaut.

A brave explorer who travels beyond our planet to study the mysteries of space.

Ooh!

When astronauts return from space, they're heroes.

People even throw them big parades.

Ah!

-[band playing] -[bird chatters]

[squealing]

I said, no dogs allowed!

-[Snoopy] Aaah! -[metal clangs]

[squealing]

[Snoopy] Uh-huh.

-[whistles] -[chirping]

It appears Snoopy is trying to blast off, Charles.

[sighs] Why can't I have a normal dog?

Aaah! [groans]

If he wants to get into space for real, he's going to need a little help.

You're right, Marcie.

You need some extra oomph getting off the ground, kid?

I've got a great throwing arm.

Actually, sir, I was thinking of NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Yeah. NASA builds rockets and spacecraft and plans missions into space.

They're the ones to talk to if you want to get a job as an astronaut.

The first thing you have to do is apply. Why don't we help you?

Let's see. Astronauts need to be courageous.

Ah-ah-ah!

-Curious. -[Snoopy] Ah!

[giggling]

Intelligent.

Don't forget, humbled by their place in the grand mystery that is the--

[blows raspberry] Space? What's the point?

Everyone's already explored all the good stuff.

Not true, Sally. There's still so much to explore.

This is Earth. And here's our place in the solar system.

And this is our interstellar neighborhood.

And here's the Milky Way, which is our galaxy.

And this is our local galactic group.

And this beauty here is Laniakea Supercluster.

[birds chirping]

-Too much? -Ah!

Oh.

I admire your determination, Snoopy. How could they say no?

Hoo-hoo! Hoo-hoo.

Ah!

Whoo!

[laughing]

-[crickets chirping] -Huh? Huh?

Huh? Huh? Huh?

[chuckling]

[sighs]

[groans]

-[snoring] -[birds chirping]

[snores]

[snores]

-[gasps] It's here! -Huh?

Linus! Lucy! Marcie! Sally! Franklin! Peppermint Patty!

Snoopy got a letter from NASA!

"Dear Snoopy, thank you for your application."

Oh. That sounds good.

Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

"We are sorry to say that you do not meet our qualifications at the moment."

Huh? Oh!

Oh. Sorry about that, pal.

[howling sadly]

[sighs]

Wait. There's something else in the letter.

"In appreciation of your interest, please accept these complimentary passes to Space Center Houston for you and your friends."

-Oh! -Oh!

Space Center Houston?

That's right next to Johnson Space Center where the astronauts train.

Where they sent a man to the moon.

Where they sell freeze-dried ice cream in the gift shop!

Come on, Snoopy.

What do you say we all take a trip down to Houston?

That would cheer you up. Right?

-[howling sadly] -[howling]

[crying]

Can't say I blame him for wanting to stay home.

I mean, it's not like he'd be able to sneak his way into the astronaut training program.

[laughs sneakily]

[whispering]

[both laughing]

[panting] Wait for me!

[sighs]
