Post by bunniefuu »

Everybody needs a hero Someone to save the day We've got a wing to ride on We are the bold and brave Look to the sky and you will find us High above the world Racing through the sky High above the world We rescue and we ride There's nothing we can't do Together we can't lose We're high above the world Nice flip, Aggro.

Thanks.

I've been waiting to try that move all day.

Summer and I have been practicing new Volley Rock moves ourselves.

We're H2-on it.

Whoo-hoo! Awesome move.

I call it the Dak Whack att*ck.

Burple! Not again.

Sorry.

Force of habit.

And it's Cutter from out of nowhere.

Yes! I remain the all-time champion of Volley Rock.

You might be the champion if we were keeping score, Cutter.

Wait.

We've been playing for fun this whole time? Mm-hm.

Over to you, Burps.

Maybe it's good we're not keeping score.

Sorry, guys.

No worries.

We'll get it.

I see it right down there.

Eels! Ew.

For the record, I don't eat rocks, I - What happened? - One thing dragons are afraid of, it's Surprise parties? No, Burple.

That's just you.

I'm talking about eels.

- Oh, right.

Them, too.

- They don't have eyebrows.

- You can't tell what they're thinking.

- Wait.

Summer's not afraid of eels.

Right? That's correct.

Summer is a Fastfin.

One of the few species with no natural eel phobia.

Eels? Yeah.

Pssh.

Easy.

Sweet.

Can you get our Volley Rock back? Well, I mean, I could, but it's getting late.

We should probably head home now.

What? Uh-uh.

I wanna play another round.

I wanna win another round.

I mean, I would if we were keeping score.

Come on, Summer.

Please? Look, I'm so desperate, I'm being polite.

Summer's right.

We should head home.

It's almost dinner time.

We could play one more round with this one.

Sorry.

That one was way down in stomach number four.

So, head home? - Back to The Roost.

- Dinner time! Sum? What's the rush? Why are we flying so fast? Uh, are we? Perhaps it just seems that way due to the slight north-eastern tailwind.

- Hey! - What was that? I don't know, but I think it's about to happen ag - That's what I call a power blast.

- I'm not feeling so - Maybe you got too much sun today, Burps.

- Or something I ate.

Could be literally anything.

- Unh.

- Watch it! Rescue Riders, get in formation.

Burple might need help getting home.

We've got you, Burps.

Oh, poor guy.

Don't worry, Burple.

We'll figure out what's wrong.

You might have a fever now, too.

Or maybe Aggro's standing too close.

- Sorry.

I'm worried about him.

- Dak, what do you think? Is this a fever? I don't know.

- What's a dragon fever feel like? - I wouldn't know.

I never get sick.

- Don't worry about it.

- I think I'm feeling a bit better? Doesn't get much worse than this.

Everyone, take cover! - Sorry, guys.

- It's okay.

But this is getting worse.

More than too much sun or something you ate today.

Something I ate yesterday? Time we checked the Dragon Diary.

- Uh-oh.

- Uh-oh? What do you mean "uh-oh"? A good "uh-oh" or bad "uh-oh"? Is there ever a good "uh-oh"? - He has the symptoms of Dragon Flu.

- Oh.

Doesn't sound too bad.

Isn't the full name "the Dreaded Dragon Flu"? Not helping.

Dreaded? Dreaded?! What does "dreaded" mean? It's not good.

Come on.

Burps can't have Dragon Flu.

That's super rare.

It's probably just a rock allergy.

If it were Dragon Flu, he'd be shivering.

He'd lose control of his powers.

And he'd be sneezing non-stop.

Besides, it says here Dragon Flu is super contagious.

And look, none of us got it.

- That's true.

- Don't worry, Ley.

Tomorrow, Burple will be feeling better than ever.

I know it.

Morning! How's everyone? Dak! We have a problem! Everyone is sick.

Correction.

Everyone but me.

I wonder why Winger, Cutter and Aggro got sick but you didn't.

- They were helping Burple.

- Could be.

Keep your distance to be safe.

Dak and I have to get the others outside before they wreck this place.

- On it.

- I'm on it, too.

Not on it.

But I support your mission to be on it.

Winger, you rest up.

Wait.

Even Winger's sick? We are in trouble.

Why don't you ask for my help? I'm clearly fine.

- Um, Cutter - I don't get sick.

Never have.

Never Seasonal allergies.

That's all.

How about some fresh air, pal? Is it normal to feel hot and cold at the same time? And also be craving pickles? Hurry up, Burple.

I'm trying to.

Whoa! What was that? Sorry.

I call it a back burp.

It's like a burp, but it comes out of my Hey! It was an accident, Aggro.

Yeah.

So was that.

You have a fever.

Here, this will help you feel better.

Keep an eye on Cutter.

He can't control his spike sh*ts.

- Make sure he doesn't get too close to - Don't worry about me.

I'm fine.

See? He's fine.

- Doesn't look so fine to me.

- Sorry.

I'm not good at this kind of dragony-doctory stuff.

I don't see anything in the Dragon Diary about a cure.

Maybe we should talk to somebody.

- Who? I doubt Duggard or Hannahr know.

- If Magnus Finke did, he wouldn't tell us.

- Marena! - Marena! She's been a lot of places.

If anybody might know A visit to Marena.

Now I know this is serious.

Dak, you have to keep the dragons comfortable.

Make sure they drink enough, eat enough, especially Burple.

Keep Aggro cool, help Cutter stay warm, and make sure they don't damage The Roost.

Maybe I should go talk to Marena.

You're a much better dragon doctor than I am.

Which is why I'm the one looking for the cure.

Or don't you think you can handle it? What? Oh, I can handle it.

I can handle it with my eyes closed.

Good.

But you might wanna keep your eyes open.

Don't worry.

I've got this.

You mean you've got this upside down.

Good luck.

One day acting as Leyla? Huh.

I can do this.

We can do this.

I'll be there with you.

Winger, you need to take it easy.

No.

I got this.

Really, I can help.

On second thought Don't worry, Wing.

Dr.

Dak has got this.

I sure hope Marena knows about the Dragon Flu.

- You mean the Dreaded Dragon Flu.

- Yes.

Ha! I could tell you some stories.

Please do.

I remember a Titan wing Submaripper who caught the Dragon Flu.

One sneezing fit and, bam, an entire village flooded! It was something to behold.

But the flu went away and the dragon was okay, right? I didn't say that.

So, what did you say? Everything that needed to be said.

Do you think you could maybe say a little more? Here is the bad news.

Left untreated, the Dragon Flu can have terrible effects.

Well, Aggro's already sneezing fireballs, so Worse.

It can cause wing freeze.

Some dragons even lose their ability to fly.

- We have to do something.

- Quickly! Never fear, Rescue Riders.

There is a cure.

Help-Kelp.

Grows in clumps on the ocean floor.

Red stripes down the middle.

What was that roar? Do you not believe me? I know my She was saying she knows that plant.

- Thanks for your help.

- But beware.

Where there's Help-Kelp, there are eels.

It's a delicacy to them.

We should be okay there.

Summer here is a Fastfin.

- Totally not afraid of eels.

- Oh, yeah.

Not afraid at all.

Just out of curiosity, any other cure? I'll ask her.

Summer was wondering, anything else we can try? Just hope your friends get better and do not lose the ability to fly for the rest of their lives.

Yeah, we'll do the Help-Kelp thing.

- When will you tell me what's going on? - What do you mean? I think I can tell when my best friend is upset.

I'm not upset.

Is it really that obvious? The truth is, I am afraid of eels, Leyla.

I know I'm a Fastfin, and I shouldn't be.

But I am.

When I was a kid, I was playing in a grove of seaweed with my friends.

They swam off but when I turned to follow, an eel lunged out and bit me.

It was horrible.

I never told anyone.

We aren't supposed to be afraid of anything, especially not eels.

It's okay to be afraid.

Not when you're a Fastfin.

When you're my friend, it's okay.

We all get scared, Summer, but the team needs us.

We're gonna get through this together.

Thanks, Leyla.

Besides, it's a big ocean.

We might not see any eels anyway.

All right.

There's water here for everyone.

Okay.

Need to get more water.

Sorry, Dak.

It's okay.

At least your aim's still good.

What's next? Lots of fish over there.

Just for you, Burple.

Mm.

Blankets to keep everyone warm.

Especially you, Cutter.

- Huh? - Sorry, Dak.

I think my fever's getting worse.

I always knew this is how I'd go.

Hungry.

You'll be fine, Burple.

We'll have you healthy again, soon! Just like me.

Just a tickle in my throat, that's all.

Still not sick.

Being Leyla for a day? Yeah, total breeze.

That's okay.

I needed to get more supplies anyway.

There! Gotcha.

- Wrong kind of seaweed.

- Again.

We've searched all the inlets, coves and shorelines around Huttsgalor.

Let's try the north side of the island.

I appreciate what you're trying to do, but we're running out of time.

- What do you mean? - There's only one way to do this.

If eels like Help-Kelp, we shouldn't be looking for the seaweed.

- We should be - Looking for eels.

Exactly.

That did cross my mind.

We can't let my fear get between us and helping the team.

Are you willing to give it a sh*t? I think I know where we can find some eels.

- You sure about this? - I'm a Rescue Rider.

Rescue Riders help their friends, even if that sounds really terrifying at the moment.

- I don't see any eels.

Maybe they left.

- I hope they left some Help-Kelp for us.

Eels! Eels! I'm sorry.

There were six! They were all around me.

- I didn't know what to do.

- Take a deep breath.

It's gonna be okay.

No.

It's not.

I don't think I can do this after all.

Well, maybe you can't.

But we can.

I told you, we can get through this together.

You can't ride with me.

It's way too dangerous.

- What if I can't get past them? - Then I will.

We can do this.

You can do this.

- This could be going better.

- Tell me about it.

At least The Roost is still standing.

For now.

- Hey! You're lucky I'm fireproof.

- Sorry.

I've failed at just about everything on this list.

I'm no Leyla.

- Then stop trying to be her.

- What do you mean? I mean, maybe you need to do her list your way.

Huh? Remember when we played Volley Rock and you came up with that move? That's what you need to do here.

Do it Dak-style.

You know what? You're right.

All right, stand back for Dr.

Dak.

That's the Dreaded Dragon Flu for you.

I've seen worse.

You're right, Winger.

This is fun.

Thanks, Dak.

I'm fine.

It's just a little chilly out today.

I know, you're fine.

And now everyone else is, too.

Okay, this is actually pretty cozy.

Good job, Dak.

Now, come on, wing it in for a real one.

Summer? Summer! And stay out! Yes! Whew.

"And stay out"? I know.

Dak is better at catchphrases.

- I've missed you.

- We were only gone for a few hours, Burps.

Oh, I meant eating.

I've missed eating.

- Awesome job finding the Help-Kelp, Leyla.

- It was all Summer.

You should've seen her.

Six eels and she didn't even break a sweat.

We were underwater, so, I couldn't tell.

Sometimes I wish I was a Fastfin so I wouldn't be so afraid of eels either.

Actually, I never told you guys this, but I am afraid of eels.

- Like you are.

- Really? - What? - You still got the Help-Kelp anyway? Talk about brave.

Being brave isn't about not being afraid.

It's about doing what you have to do, even when you are.

Hi-yah! - Impressive, Dak.

- How effortless I make this look? You didn't just keep things under control.

You took good care of them.

It actually turned out to be pretty fun, once I figured out how to do it Dak-style.

I'm just glad everyone is gonna be okay and this is finally over.

Oh, no, Summer! You, too? I'm afraid so.

- I'll get the Help-Kelp.

- Better hurry.

I think I'm about to Sorry, Burple.

It's okay.

I was due for a bath anyway.
