- Previously on "Escape the Night,"

unscripted, unrehearsed...

The guests faced challenges in a magical realm.

In order to defeat an ice witch...

- We need that gem.

- Joey and Andrea

walk the path of betrayal and decide who will die.

- No, no, no! - Tana!

- However, it is they who are betrayed.

- She didn't leave us the gem.

- What the heck?

[light music]

♪ ♪

- My bride.

- My husband.

[light piano music playing]

♪ ♪

- One, two, three. One, two, three.

One, two, three.

I made this...

for you.

- I love you.

- And I love-- [electricity zapping]

No! No! No! No!

No! No! - What--what happened?

- Someone sabotaged me! Just please leave me.

Your services are no longer required.

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

- Well, Tana's dead now.

And we have no gem.

- All we have now is this crystal.

- The crystal came from Sireen,

and she basically said, like, it holds magical abilities.

And I was like, "Okay, I'll take it."

- She just k*lled one of us

'cause we weren't playing by her rules.

And now we play by her rules,

and she doesn't give us a gem?

- So a life doesn't equal a gem at this point.

- There are no rules.

It doesn't matter who goes

into these little battles to the death.

Somebody's going to die. We just don't know who.

Last time, Tana wasn't even in the battle,

and she still d*ed.

- I still don't understand.

There's got to be something more to that.

[alarm blares, all exclaiming]

- And all of a sudden, there's this huge,

horrifying noise behind us.

- Oh, my God. Wow. - The home-defense system

has been enabled.

The estate is secure. - The door opened.

- There's a siren going, and that could mean anything.

- Let's go, let's go.

- What? - Wait, what is this?

- The next picture was a gear. This has to be the next monster.

- Wait, what is this? - Okay, wait.

There's ten minutes on this clock.

- We have this gear. We have this lock.

What else do we have? - Look for a clue.

- This is new. This is new. - So this means four numbers.

- Get the new stuff and put it here so we can figure it out. -Ok

- Wait, this says "rotate twice."

- Oh, we need to find

the missing gear, right here. - Is this it?

- Oh. both: Yes!

- Perfect. Good job.

Okay. - Maybe.

- Yeah. - Yeah, now rotate it twice.

- One. - No, one.

both: Two.

- So wait, you guys this just opened -So we need to put these in our spot.

- This just opened.

- Oh! - "The fuel cell must

"be secured correctly, or the machine will not run.

"Once in place, close the panel and pull

the lever on the right."

- This is the fuel cell, this crystal.

- That's the fuel cell. - Look at the picture.

- We need to put it in here.

- Go ahead. - And then pull the lever.

- What--Oh.

[gasping] - Whoa.

- What the heck?

- Whoa, okay. - Wait, pay attention.

It's gonna tell us how to put it together, I think.

- She looks like a robot.

It's a cyborg. - Subject, automaton bride.

- She's hooked up to a machine.

- Attempt 685. - Creepy.

- She's a cyborg.

- I think I found her wedding ring.

- The generator powering her heart...

- That's this.

- Broke under the constant strain.

The friction was just too much.

I need a human heart to do this.

My conscience is stolen.

- [gasps] Oh, no. - He's gonna take a human heart.

- That's this. - I, uh, have a proposal.

- I'm recording! - Who's that?

- Have you no manners? - Sorry, I just--

- Is it out? - Wait.

- Wait. - No, what did it say?

- 17, three-- - It was like a second on there,

but between all of us, we could all

remember one number and one order.

- I think it said 17 something. - 33.

- The one is this line. - This isn't the same lock.

- It looks like a one. - Okay, the 9 was the last one.

- 17, 9, 9.

- So, no, it's 7. It's not--that's a 1.

- It's 7, 2, 9, 9.

[all gasp] - It worked!

both: Oh, God. - Stand back.

- Okay. Okay, there's something in here.

- Joey finds this container.

And inside are blueprints for the automaton bride.

[alarm blaring] - Critical breach of security.

Target number 331 has been compromised.

- We may have cracked the code to get the blueprints,

but now we've triggered this other problem.

[doors locking] - The doors have been locked.

- Oh, God. - And the machine

will self-destruct in ten minutes...

- Oh, my God! Oh, my God! It's starting.

- Unless the override protocol is engaged.

- We are in go mode.

- Everybody just start looking for parts.

- Let's look around. - Find the parts.

- Okay, just split up. - I'm taking the ring.

I feel like it's gonna be very important.

- The machine will self-destruct in eight minutes.

- Oh, my gosh.

- I start looking around the room,

and the first thing I notice

is that one of the vents on the floor is loose.

Oh, I found a piece. - No way!

- I found one piece, just one. - Are you kidding? -Good job, Alex.

- It's this weird-shaped, little gold thing.

- Guys, is this-- wasn't this from the video?

- The machine will self-destruct in three minutes.

- Wait, I think we should use this on--

- On what? - I don't know.

- Where can you plug in a USB? - There's a key for something.

What can we plug this into?

Is there something to plug this in?

If we don't deactivate this home-defense system,

we're toast.

Think back to the video. What was this used for?

- Oh, wait. Right here, right here, right here.

- Oh, okay.

Good job, Tyler. - Oh, the clock stopped.

- We've done it. We've disabled the machine.

We can breathe for now.

- [exhales deeply]

- Aah! - What?!

- He has a gem. - You destroyed my life's work!

- We did nothing! - We didn't do anything!

[all screaming]

- [exhales deeply] He's only gonna be like that

for a couple of minutes.

We got to get out of here. [all shout]

- Oh, who's she?

Who is that? - Come with me.

- Go, go, go, go. - What just happened?

- Who are you? - What the hell was that?

- Jetpack Girl. Nice to meet you.

- Jetpack Girl? Hi. - Who was that?

- That was Cedric. That's my old boss.

He's a real assh*le sometimes.

He built this automaton bride to love him forever,

but it only awoke long enough to, like, crush his soul.

But he thinks someone sabotaged her.

And right now he thinks y'all did it.

- Yeah, I had everything to do with your automaton bride.

- I know what we got to do.

We got to rebuild his bride. Give him the blueprints, right?

- I have them. - Awesome.

- Oh, thank God. - I'm not quite sure

why Jetpack Girl is so invested in this.

- I just--I just want him to see that I can make

something that works, you know?

- If we do this, are we gonna get the gem?

- Um, I think we can arrange that.

- Okay. Let's go. - Follow me to the lab.

Watch your ass,

because he enabled the home-defense system.

- Okay.

If Jetpack Girl didn't come save us right now,

I feel like we would all be dead.

- Intruders detected.

- sh*t. You just stepped on a land mine.

It's gonna be fine. Stay put, stay put.

Or it'll blow your leg off. - Don't move.

- Okay? - This is a huge problem.

- Oh! That's less time than I thought you had.

Um... - Uh...

- So what do we do? - Targets, targets, g*ns!

- In order to defuse the b*mb, we have to hit

all these targets around the room

with these g*ns.

- We have to get all of these.

- Okay. - Quickly.

- Everybody just goes crazy.

- Come on! - It's just like,

pow, pow, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew.

[screaming] [g*nsh*t]

- I got one! - Got one.

- I wanted to be first!

Yes! - Anyone need a*mo?

- Oh, my God. Are we about to lose Tyler?

Got one. both: Got two.

- Got three.

- Oh, my God. - There's some up there.

And there's some up here. - Oh, my God, there's so many!

- Oh! - Yes, good job!

[g*nshots]

- We need to get on the stairs.

- Yeah! - Get better trajectory.

- Help, I need another one.

- Yes. - Thank you.

- Oh, good job! [cheering]

- Yes! Got it! Did we get them all?

- There are some all around there.

- Every time we think that there's no more targets,

there's still more targets.

- Yeah! Sick! - Come on!

- There we go. - Did we get them all?

- Yeah. - Double-check.

I don't see any more.

- No, there's one up there! - One more.

- Thank you, Alison.

- There's one left. Get it. - There.

- Intruder security measure bypassed.

- Do you think my leg is fine?

- Okay, we're good.

- You'll pay for what you've done!

- Oh, my God! - Cedric comes back in,

angry as ever.

- Watch out! Watch out! [screaming]

[all exclaiming]

- When Alison sacrifices herself for us,

I know for sure she is here on our side.

- Where are we? This is the Red Hallway.

- So then we go to a part of the house we haven't been in before.

And I thought we'd been everywhere.

And it was this lab with all these

broken bits of machine and bodies.

- Okay, not gonna lie, this is actually pretty sick.

- Oh, guys, there's the bride! - Automaton bride.

- Okay. - She looks so real.

- Okay. - Wow -That...

- Blueprints! -...is trippy. - You guys got those blueprints?

- "Gather the raw parts. Place them in the elevator

"at the end of the Red Hall.

"If they are correct, the master machine upstairs

"will assemble them so they can be placed

on the automaton."

- Can you guys check it out. I'm gonna go run interference, okay?

all: Okay. - So everybody just study these.

Look all around. - I'll look for this thing.

- Just look everywhere for everything.

- Everyone's frantically

looking in the lab for these five raw parts.

Oh, here's a piece. I find the first one.

There's a lightbulb, a circle thing,

and a little other thing and a thing.

There's too many things.

- I wish Cedric was a little more organized,

is all I'm saying.

- Is this one?

- I think it might be, yeah. - Bring it over.

- No, I don't want to go back there--I'm scared. Ew, gross.

- Up until this point,

I feel like I have been not that helpful.

Oh, my God, you guys. I found something.

And this is the first time I actually found something.

- Yay, Tyler! - You said we need a key?

- Yeah. - I just found

a whole bucket of keys.

- Oh. That's not good.

We are searching through jars and buckets,

behind every little inch,

every weird, kooky thing.

You're giving me fashion.

- Is this it? - Zippity-doo-dah, zippity-day.

- Oh, I found it!

- What is it? - Which one?

- Okay, so we just need the lightbulb.

- Oh, my God, Alison. - Alison!

- We got to hurry.

- Alison bursts into the room, hurt.

- Cedric is readying his Promethean Men.

- At this point, I don't know what a Promethean is,

and I don't want to find out.

- They're big, robotic monsters.

- Guys, did you hear that? - [gasps] Ew!

- There's giant robots coming to att*ck us, everybody!

- Then we got to be quick. - This is so frustrating.

There's so many objects in the lab.

I don't know if we're gonna find this part.

- You guys, we have to hurry.

Need a hand? - Oh, my God. Don't do that.

- You guys! I found it! - Hell, yeah!

I found three. - Okay, guys, quick.

- Here. - So we take all five...

- And put it in the elevator down the Red Hall.

- What's the skinny? I can't hold him off much longer.

- Everyone take one. - Let's go, let's go.

- Here, I got 'em, I got 'em I got 'em, I got 'em.

- Okay, let's go. - Be careful.

It's a g*dd*mn w*r zone out there.

- Should I have brought my g*n?

- Okay, come on, come on, come on, come on. -Go, go, go.

- We just place them inside? -Yeah, we just place them.

- Wait, is there anyone in there?

- Put it on the pedestal. - Put it on there.

- Is this five? One, two, three, four, five. -Come back

- Come on, come on, come on.

- By putting the five raw pieces in the elevator,

we're able to send it up the master machine

so the machine can send us back down

exactly what we need.

- When'd you get so bloody?

- She's been holding everyone off.

- Here we go. - Oh, God.

- I'm terrified-- We don't know what

is gonna be on the other side of that door.

- You got this, Jetpack Girl?

- And our hearts are racing.

But what ends up being there

is some type of weird little gadget and a robotic hand.

So I'm thinking we have to put them into the bride.

We got to run back and put them in.

- You guys go.

[suspenseful music]

Go! Go! Go!

[all exclaiming]

- Prometheans are terrifying.

They're just imposing.

- Wait, they're coming! - Put the arm in!

- Okay, where's the arm? - This arm, this arm.

- Okay, wait. Is this the heart for sure?

- The arm is in.

- Yeah, put it in there. That's all we have.

- This is so crazy.

We're literally about to bring this creature to life.

both: Ready?

- Did it work? - It's not working.

- I don't think I put it in right.

- She's supposed to come alive and seduce Cedric

so we can have that darn gem. - Girl, wake up.

- But she's not moving. - Okay.

- She needs electricity. - Ready?

- Okay, it's good. - Everybody stand back.

- Wait, wait, wait. - Wait, what's this?

- This just opened. - "You would never listen to me

"even though I was your partner.

"The thing you must add to your automaton

"to bring her to life is a real, b*ating human heart,

freshly pulled from a living person."

- Maybe there's another heart that we could use.

- Oh, wait, wait, wait! - No! Ugh!

No, no, no! - Oh, no. Not Jetpack Girl!

No, don't hurt her.

[gasps] No. - Oh, no.

- Ah. - Let her go.

- Everybody back up.

- We're here to help you.

- She just needs a b*ating heart.

It's what I was afraid to do before.

But no longer.

One of you will give up your heart so that she can live.

- No. - Or all of you will die.

- One of us real humans is going to have to die

so that this robot bride can live.

That's some bullshit.

- Select two from among you to do battle

with my Promethean.

- I have a great heart.

And I don't want it wasted on this automaton bride.

I don't know her.

- All right, everyone, I think we know how this goes.

- Ugh, I hate this part. I hate this part.

- What if we all put our names in?

She just picks two. - I like that idea.

- Even though I'm voting for myself...

Joey.

I hate it. Like, I don't want to go into this.

Yes. Okay.

My heart is racing.

I mean, actually, my heart is really slow,

and it's not a good heart to have.

- I'm willing to go against these Promethean men

not because I want to,

but because I feel like I'm the most capable in the group.

♪ ♪

- Alex. - Uh-oh.

- You can do this.

You're the strongest one out of all of us.

I know that he can handle himself.

And I feel sorry for whoever has to go up against him.

- Who is my opponent?

♪ ♪

- Gabbie. - Oh.

- [sighs] - Okay.

- I feel so relieved, but I know

that it doesn't even guarantee us a gem.

- Okay. - It's up to you guys.

- We say our good-byes, and I'm just thinking,

"This is probably one of the most brutal deaths."

- Somebody's heart is quite literally going to be ripped

from their chest.

- Whoa. - Oh.

- I've survived the challenge once before.

I can do it again.

- "You must each try to bring the steam machine to life.

"For every puzzle you solve, a Promethean takes

"one step closer to the other guest.

"Solve all four, then pull the lever.

The harder you work, the faster you k*ll your friend."

This is the only way we can get the gem.

- Ready?

Go. - There's blueprints.

I try to figure out what it is,

and I see this pump on the floor

that pops up balls.

- The ball flies out, and I catch it.

Did anything happen for you?

Every time one of us does something right,

a Promethean steps towards the other.

So every time he gets one step further,

this huge monster of a man steps towards me.

Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, oh, God.

♪ ♪

- Oh, my gosh. Okay.

Oh. What?

Okay. - I don't know!

- Square. There's no square to put this into.

I'm really hoping that I'm the one to find this crank slot,

but Gabbie has been one step ahead this whole challenge.

- I'm getting a little bit frustrated

because I've been figuring out everything

a little more quickly,

and Alex can see everything that I'm doing.

- What is this?

Str--Yes.

How you doing over there? - I don't know.

♪ ♪

- What?

♪ ♪

- Alex doesn't even notice that that thing is behind him,

and I'm almost done with that

by the time he realizes what I'm doing.

- Oh! Didn't even see that.

- I feel good. I'm way, way ahead right now.

Did something happen and I missed this?

- As soon as I plug the plugs into the outlets,

the bottom chamber opens up, revealing a toolbox.

- Did you do something? Damn it!

- Okay.

Oh, come on. - I don't get it.

You just plugged these in? - Yeah.

That's it?

[metal creaking, electricity zaps]

- I used to be pretty good at this when I was younger.

- Hey Alex, you want to try to help me out, fam?

- She's calling for help, and my brain is saying, "Ignore her,"

but my heart is saying, "Help her out."

- You plugged three plugs in?

One next to the pump?

- No. I did not. - There you go.

[electricity zapping] - I don't know what this means.

I know that I'm a lot behind.

But I'm still gonna work really, really hard

because I still have a chance to get this puzzle together.

- Okay.

- Any idea what we're building, Alex?

- I think you can get that one.

No.

Gabbie is completely flustered...

stressed out.

She looks like she's almost given up.

- I'm missing something huge, and I don't know what it is.

- Ohh.

- [groans] - You better hurry up.

- I don't know what I'm building.

I'm really falling behind. I'm really struggling.

And I kind of yell to Alex, "Hey, want to help me out?"

- I think I got a head start enough.

Turn your box over.

- Son of a bitch. - I'm shouting hints to Gabbie,

but there's no catching up now.

Oh, is this it?

- I'm putting my puzzle together as fast as I can.

I get pretty far. - I don't want you to die.

But one of us has to.

- I don't know how far along he is.

And then all of a sudden, I see him stand up,

and my heart drops.

Alex, no!

Pun intended.

Alex, give me another minute, please!

- I feel horrible that Gabbie's about to die.

I'm sorry.

But better her than me.

[clank, steam hissing]

- No. No!

Listen! No!

[both screaming]

Stop it!

[Kn*fe plunges]

- No! Gab!

Gabbie!

[heart b*ating]

♪ ♪

I've never seen a human heart ripped out of someone's chest.

I'm just glad it wasn't mine.

♪ ♪

- Okay, okay, hold on.

- Okay, I don't know, but they're coming towards us.

- Wait. He has a heart. He has a heart.

- Where's Alex? Where's Gabbie?

What happened? - What happened?

- Oh, gosh.

- Is that Gabbie's heart? - That's Gabbie's heart.

- Ugh.

[gags] - Oh, my gosh.

- No way.

Oh, he's gonna take it off. - Oh, no.

- Oh, my gosh. - [gasps] Beautiful.

- It's a female Frankenstein.

[soft music]

♪ ♪

- [gasps] - Oh!

- Oh, my God. [heart b*ating]

- What the-- - Oh.

- This is kind of sweet, though.

I feel like Cedric is honestly like a romantic.

He kind of has a heart.

I guess two hearts. Ugh.

- Oh. - Now give us the gem.

- We need the gem.

♪ ♪

- Come, my bride.

Let's go far away from this place.

- Why can't I have that? -[talking indistinctly]

-But it's kind of a little.. - But that's Gabbie's heart.

[somber music]

- Gabbie's death means the rest of us

are one step closer to getting out of this house.

- Well, let's put the gem in. - Okay.

- The gear. - What's next?

- What the heck is that? - It could be a beehive maybe.

- Maybe a planet. - Wait.

What time is it?

- It's five minutes to midnight.

- Oh, God.
