01x10 - Wedding Bells / The Old Man and the Lighthouse

Post by bunniefuu »

Come on, Keith, more sand on my feet.

This game is dumb,
let's do something fun.

What do you want to do?

Why don't we go out to the lighthouse
and check out old man McDougal?

Uh-uh.

That old guy is weird.
He probably keeps pet sharks.

Did you find the ball yet?

Shh.

Hey, duck, here he comes now.

(SINGING)

(SCATTING)

(ENGINE STARTS )

That guy gives me the creeps.

It must be creepy living out there
all alone in that lighthouse.

Creepy? I'll bet it's neat inside.

Let's row out there and take a look.

Hi, we're the Care Bears.

I'm Love-a-lot Bear.

l'm Bedtime Bear.

And i'm Champ Bear.

LOVE-A-LOT: And these are
the Care Bear Cousins.

Proud Heart Cat.

Gentle Heart Lamb.

Loyal Heart Dog with Cozy Heart Penguin.

Uh...

ALL: Hi.

You know, kids, Captain McDougal
may seem weird and mean to you,

but his job is very important.

That lighthouse warns ships
about the rocks in the bay

and helps them steer safely at night.

Without Captain McDougal
there would be many accidents.

Well, maybe the lighthouse is useful,
but McDougal's still weird.

Besides, anybody can run
that dumb, old lighthouse.

Nothing ever happens
on this bay, anyway.

I don't think they got the message.

Hurry, Amy, we want to get
to the lighthouse before dark.

Aye, it's getting too dark
for young'uns to be out on the bay.

And in a thimble like that.

(WIND BLOWING)

Looks like a storm's brewing.

AMY: The bay is getting rough.
Maybe we should turn around.

Come on, Amy, we can do it.

Besides we're almost close enough
to get a good look.

Wow, it's really getting rough out here.
Let's head back.

We can't.
We'd better aim for the lighthouse.

l've got to keep that light on them.

(HORN BLOWING)

Oh, no! They're out there.

Oh, no! What do we do now?

I'm scared.

Me, too. I think the island's that way.

And now the light's gone out, too.

Darn, my blasted light is out.

I've got to reach them in time.

All hands on deck. Raise the sail.

Anchors away.

-Main sail up. Heave ho.
-Main sail up. Heave ho.

-Heave ho.
-Heave ho.

Casting off!

Care Bears, to your cloud mobiles.

Take the wheel, Proud Heart Cat.

Proud to be of service.

Care Bear Cousins, put on your slickers.

We'll get the lighthouse working.

You Care Bear Cousins head for the kids.

Here it is.

ALL THREE: Oh, no!

Quick, turn around.

No, that way. The flashlight.

(FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING)

Come on, start, time's a-wasting.

Just get me to those youngsters.

Prepare for landing.

Listen, i think i hear a boat coming.

Look, i think i see a light.

Quick, grab the life ring.

-Who's out there?
-MCDOUGAL: Have you got it, lad?

lt's McDougal.

Just hang on tight,
i'll get us back somehow.

There they are. McDougal has them.

Now all they need is a little light.

Care Bears, prepare to stare.

Count down. Three, two, one.

Care Bear Stare.

AMY: Wow, how did the light go back on?

Just hang on tight.
That's a good question, lass.

Hey, McDougal saved us.

l guess we were wrong about McDougal.

-He really cares about people.
-He sure does.

But where are the Care Bear Cousins?

ALL: Yay! Hooray!

The Care Bears saved the kids!

Hooray for McDougal!

(DOOR CREAKS )

l expect you could use some of this cocoa
to warm your insides.

Boy, we sure were wrong about you,
Captain McDougal.

I'll bet you know lots of exciting stories
about thls old lighthouse.

Aye, lass. But i can't explain
where that light came from tonight.

But there was one time,
back in the gale of ' ,

when the waves were as high
as the spout of a great white whale.
