they're ready to defeat the Carnival Master.

Mortimer, what are you doing?

announcer: But they've been betrayed.

Calliope: There are eight artifacts

that this Carnival Master draws his power from.

( yelling )

announcer: And the Carnival Master is free.

Joey: This crystal, for some reason, it's calling to me.

( grunting ) ( cracking sounds )

We have to lock the town in time now.

He just literally brought the dead back to life.

There's this whole big scene on the back of it

that actually features the blonde woman

and the Asian man that I saw while I was dead.

"We were slaughtered by the Carnival Master

"because we didn't know his secret.

"He stole the Life Stones and placed his essence inside them.

"While they exist, he cannot be k*lled.

"You must find them, and with the power

of the cleansed artifacts, destroy him."

There's three Life Stones that we need to find,

and that's the only way we're going to be able

to destroy the Carnival Master.

"The first Life Stone lies at the heart

of a tree long passed."

- Tree stump. - The stump.

- The tree stump, okay. - Okay.

The only problem is, between us and there,

are just a horde of zombies.

"Be careful of his undead minions.

"If you're captured, you'll be taken to the cemetery

"where you must be rescued by two of your friends

"who need to lay their hands on the mausoleum.

"If you have not been freed in five minutes,

the undead will feast on your flesh."

If one of us gets captured, no matter what,

we have to get the other one back.

- I agree 100 percent. - 100 percent.

- We're in this together. - We've lost too many people tonight.

- We're in this together. - Ready, we do it on three.

( growling )

( dramatic music )

Maybe we can sneak through that side alley right there.

So at this point, we have a pretty good idea

of the layout of the town.

We have been running up and down this thing

for the entirety of the night.

Here it is, oh, my God, oh, my God, go, go, go.

- They're everywhere. - They're all over the place.

( growling )

Joey: Okay, through here.

Zombies are filling the streets.

We're having to run around, and I'm over here really dying.

- It's right here. - Wait, oh, we found it?

Oh, so we find the stump,

and I pull out the wand, and it's glowing.

- It's glowing. - What is that?

We place the magic wand there,

and it lets down the first crystal.

One of three that we need to somehow obtain

before the sun rises.

( screams )

"The second stone rests on the end of a hangman's noose.

"However, you'll need to wear

"his executioner's hood to see it.

"His raiments are high above,

where you challenged the Serpent's Tower."

We challenged the Serpent's Tower in Fatman Slim's.

And although I'm so, so, so, so, so scared right now,

all I can channel that into

is wanting to survive and get out of here.

- Matt: There's more of them. - Joey: We need to be cautious and slow, okay?

Matt: We need to head back to Fatman Slim's,

where we played the Serpent's Tower

for way too long, Teala!

Pick a block and just choose it!

Rest the dead.

Okay, I don't know how we're going to Fatman Slim's.

Matt: Okay, we can make a run to the merry-go-round.

These zombies are not having us in here, honey. They are hungry.

- Here, we got to go, right there! - Go.

Make a straight sh*t, head to the left.

Like, the zombies suddenly get more aggressive.

They're chasing us hardcore.

Try as we might to weave our way between them,

there's just too many.

Nikita slips through, but I get grabbed.

- No, no! - Joey: They got Matt.

Damn it. We were so close.

Matt somehow gets caught by the zombies

and is taken back to the graveyard,

and we only have five minutes to rescue him.

If we don't rescue Matt, he'll die.

- They're taking him back to the grave. - Okay.

Nikita: I cannot believe these damn things

are still chasing us.

Clearly, the undead is very physically active.

I hear them, and they rescue me,

and I'm out of the mausoleum.

Joey: Come on, we have to go.

Those F'ers move so damn fast.

I'm just running as quick as I can.

Where do I go?

( groaning, growling )

And we are safe. For now.

- Matt: So this is our home base? - Nikita: Yes.

"The second stone rests on the end of a hangman's noose."

So at Fatman Slim's, we're going to need some sort of

hangman's hood and hangman's noose

to unlock the second Life Stone.

- There's rope. - Oh, God.

I start following this rope, and it's going

all the way upstairs, which I had never been.

( grunts )

This rope is just tied, and all around,

and crazy in this little box, and of course, there's a note.

"The hangman's noose reeks of death,

"and makes one appear undead.

"The noose must be tied in the correct place

"to enact the hangman's power.

"The path of the noose can be seen

from a higher point of view."

- A higher point of view? - Out there.

Nikita: And as we're looking around,

we basically find this diagram,

and we notice that the rope

kind of has to be tied in a very specific configuration.

It's pretty much a really crazy triangle.

X marks the spot right between there.

- Great. - We got this.

Joey and I have a really good idea

about what we have to do in order to get

the second gemstone.

- So we found the noose-- - Both: And it's upstairs.

- Oh, the noose is upstairs? - Yeah.

And we can use this to sneak past the undead?

It says if it reeks of death, then you can blend in with the undead.

So we find out that the hood actually protects you

from the dead, and it makes you one of them.

Joey volunteers to take on the hangman's noose

so he can walk out amongst the zombies.

Let me--let me tie this for you, actually.

Because I did lighting design for years,

- Come on, Boy Scout. - Oh, my God.

- There is a lot of rope. - I know.

- Okay? - Okay.

Matt has some witchcraft going on,

'cause how the hell did he wrap up that rope so damn quick?

So I head outside with the rope and the hood on,

and I can't see anything.

I wish there was a way to barricade.

Fatman Slim's doesn't have the most robust

of security systems, so I had propped a chair

underneath the door handle, so that way,

the zombies couldn't break their way into the building.

Nikita: You're going to start at the merry-go-round.

To your left, right a little.

- Stop. - Stop?

- Yes, right in front of you. - Okay, and now what?

Wrap it around somehow, and secure it.

Oh, my God, guys, this is so scary.

I can sense the zombies around me.

- Nikita: It's okay, they can't see you. - Okay.

Yeah, grab that hook, and wrap it around the hoof of the horse.

- Okay. - You're good.

Joey: Somehow, I attach it to the merry-go-round,

and I am just happy I have accomplished something.

Keep going straight. There's a lot of them, but don't freak out.

- How close am I to the pole? - Nikita: Very.

- Left, left. - Your other left.

- Left? - Both: Left, left.

It is taking everything in our power to not have Joey

just walk blindly in circles the entire night.

- Oh, yeah. - I feel it.

I think they just think you smell really nice.

I thought at any moment, they were just going to

Finally, the triangle is made.

I need to stand in the center, don't I?

Matt: So Joey stands in the center of the triangle,

raises his hands, and a chest opens behind him.

Joey: So I make it to the chest, and I realize

that in my hand is the second Life Stone.

( screams )

you're not invisible anymore.

- Run in the drugstore. - Go in the drugstore.

- Run. - There's a back door.

So Joey gets locked out by my unfortunate oversight,

and has to sprint away.

Luckily, he's safe, but I'm a bit more remorseful.

They look to be centered around the police station.

- Okay. - Here I go.

- All right. - Damn it, I forgot.

- Oh, God. - Wait, he put the hood back on.

Good, did he? Okay.

I have a damn bone to pick with you guys,

dumping a chair in front of the door.

- We're going to direct you. - Joey, come towards my voice.

We're all reunited once again,

but the zombies are not stopping.

They are pounding on the door.

What does it say?

"The Maiden of Madness contains the third Life Stone.

"It will only release the crystals

once it has feasted upon the flesh of an undead mother."

We have to go back into the Maiden of Madness lair.

- No. - What's the Maiden of Madness?

- Where we k*lled Colleen. - Sorry, you might have to refresh me, because I was dead.

We basically had to throw her in there,

and we closed it on her. It was really gruesome.

This is way worse, but we know where it is.

Joey: Hold on, there's more to this.

"Caroline passed away two years ago from grief

"over her lost child, and they say she was buried

with a token of her daughter."

So the note makes mention of this woman named Caroline,

who was buried with some reminder of her child.

So it looks like we're headed back to the cemetery

to dig up some graves.

So that's how we'll find out who she is.

- Okay. - Based off the token of her daughter.

- Both: Okay. - This is not going to be easy,

especially since we know how difficult it was

trying to save Matt.

I can run out, distract them.

- Maneuver all of them, and then put on the hood. - Yeah.

So we come up with a plan. Nikita's going to distract,

while me and Matt go back to the cemetery.

Should we just start digging?

This is the sound that the clue was talking about.

Joey: We need to get back to Fatman Slim's,

and we just book it.

We know we need to get somewhere safe.

Actually, let's go to the arcade.

And we get into the arcade as quick as we possibly can,

and we just bar up the door.

We need to rejoin with Nikita before she gets captured.

I am feeling so tired.

I feel like one of those little dolls

that you press the bottom and they collapse.

one zombie separates from the pack.

and we regroup here, it's really close.

Yeah, we need to distract them.

Nikita: So since Matt was still, um, dead

for that whole part, I'm thinking

he should probably be the distraction at this point.

- Okay, ready? - Yup.

- Go. - Just walk straight.

I make my way down past the arcade,

and do what I do best-- make a spectacle of myself.

So I make it to the doll shop, and of course,

the damn door is locked.

Over here, look, a crowbar.

We're shaking this rattle for our dear life,

and we clearly see the mother coming slowly at us.

Joey: And she's like, oh, is that my rattle?

She didn't say that, but she implied it with her limp.

( muffled yell )

I wedge open this side window thing,

and Caroline just follows me in.

- Yes, come in, come to us. - I feel like I'm--

I'm having flashbacks to Colleen all over again.

So it looks like we're headed back to the Divine Lounge

before we're getting out of this one final time.

I think my fear of zombies is fully gone at this point,

because I am just full-fledged mad.

We see the box that Calliope

I saw the shape, and it was really weird to me,

but it kind of reminded me of the base

of one of the Life Stones, so I'm like, you guys.

I think we have to put it in there.

- Just shove it on in there. - I was right?

Oh, whoa, wow, oh.

- Oh, God. - (gasps)

Matt: We have access to the cards.

It's time to find the message that was left from our friends.

- Does that connect? - Yeah.

- Life Stone. - Which is the--

we're able to use the Lazarus harp

that brought me back from the dead

to bring back fallen champions, also from the dead.

( energy whooshes )

Nikita: All of a sudden, smoke starts to appear.

The room starts going crazy, everything's going wild.
