06x13 - Heiress Daisy Duke

Post by bunniefuu »

'Yee-haw'

Well, it was a sunny Saturday.

Bo and Luke was jawin'
about the upcoming hot race

and a cool woman in town

which had nothin' to do with
what they were about to face.

The Dukes was a
fixin' to lose Daisy Duke.

Now don't that turn
your bones to J-E-L-L-O.

It'll just be because
whipping your butt

always breaks
my heart a little bit.

Oh, come on.

And here comes law
enforcement's answer to Dopey

and the Seven Dwarves,
Rosco P. Coltrane.

'What do you say, we
got us some company.'

I assume it's Rosco,
that's Boss riding shotgun.

What the heck you
suppose they want?

What you doing with
that pen and pencil?

It's the only way I keep score
on your annual evaluation.

- Oh, is that today?
- Yeah, it's today.

- Ooh..
- Come on, go on will you?

Should we let him get us?

Oh, you wanna, you wanna
drop the whole bet, huh?

I don't wanna
drop the whole bet.

- Alright, you watch, you watch.
- I'm watching.

Bye bye, Rosco.

What's that? Watch them cans!

For goodness' sake! That,
that ain't gonna go good on here.

- Let me see that.
- Oh, we're gonna sink the..

And watch that
one! Watch that one!

Pull over. g*dd*mn, back up!

You should've saved some of
that fancy driving for Chester Flats.

Fancy driving? I was just
doin' my finger exercises.

Keep 'em on the wheel.

What kinda driving is that?

You're in serious trouble.
I'm Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.

And this is
Commissioner J.D. Hogg.

Oh, well if this
ain't my lucky day.

It is? Lucky day?

- My card.
- Oh!

- Mr. Harry Booboo?
- No, that's, Bozo.

- Bobo.
- Bobo, Bobo.

Oh, Harry Bobo,
Private Investigations.

Well, what are you
doing here in Hazzard?

This here ad brought me here
in last week's Hazzard Gazette.

Do either of you happen to know
who that young lady might be?

Are you kidding? Of
course, we know who that...

Ah! Da, da, da!

I'm conducting
this investigation.

Well, I..

Maybe we know
her, maybe we don't.

Why are you so
interested in her?

Well, Mr. Carter Stewart
is my client. My only client.

Wait a minute,
the Carter Stewart?

The Carter Stewart.

Hey, wasn't he the one who
lost his daughter and her husband

in that plane crash years ago?

That's right. But they never
found his grand daughter.

Now she was five at the time.

Well, what's all this got
to do with this here ad?

Well, when she was five

little Vivian was a spittin'
image of her mama.

I got a picture of
Vivian's mama right here.

Oh, here she is.

'When I saw the resemblance
between the lady in the ad'

'and Vivian's mama... '

You figured that this here
was little Vivian Stewart

all growed up.

- That's right.
- Is that all?

- Except for one thing.
- Uh?

Mr. Stewart has
authorized a payment

of $ , to anyone
responsible for her return.

Providin', of course,
she is Vivian Stewart.

Oh, provided of course,
she is Vivian Stewart

Listen, I'll tell you
what, Mister, uh..

Bobo.

Bobo! Bobo, listen, you
just come with us, huh?

Follow us to the
Boar's Nest, you know.

- Get this.. Alright, come on.
- Alright.

Are you thinkin' what I'm
thinkin' Boss is thinkin'?

Bo and Luke were making
life's weighty decisions..

Hazzard style.

While Daisy was fixing
to have more trouble

than she could say grace over.

- Well?
- : :

Well, you wanna concede and
save yourself some embarrassment?

Hold on a second, who's
tryin' to convince who of what?

Let's just let the
General Lee cool down.

I'll give it a try and
you can hold the watch.

Alright.

- This is it!
- Ah!

This is the place.
The Boar's Nest.

Now listen here, when we
get inside, you take a gander

at that gal who's hustlin'
beer. Don't you say nothing.

There's another one for you.

I didn't forget you honey,
there you go. Let's see.

Anybody else need a beer?

Well, well, well,
and well, Daisy.

I see you're working
yourself up into quite a sweat.

Remember what you said,
Boss, you said if I double my quota

I get tomorrow off and I
get to keep my tip money.

- I promised that?
- You sure did.

Yeah, uh, never mind about
that. Come on along, Mr-Mr. Bobo.

'Everybody okay here?'

Come on, step in to
my private office here.

Incredible. That girl out there

she's a dead ringer
for Vivian's mother.

- She sure is...
- But, is she Vivian's daughter?

Well of course, she ain't.

Of course, didn't you hear
me call her Daisy out there?

But she's gonna
be Vivian Stewart.

- Yeah.
- I don't get it, Hogg.

Maybe I can just find a
way to make Daisy Duke

think, act and talk like
that girl you're looking for.

I mean so good, that she
would be Vivian Stewart.

And what makes you
think I want any part of it?

Well that shiny threadbare
miserable suit you're wearing.

Yeah, and this tie, looks
like it's got the mange.

Listen, uh, if somebody
were to handover to you

even half of them ,
clams Mr. Stewart is givin' away

why, you'd be able to
buy yourself a mighty fine

brand new wardrobe,
wouldn't you?

- Well...
- You bet you could.

Just a minute here.
Gussie, uh, yeah.

Uh, listen, get me
Professor Crandall.

Uh, the Professor
Crandall. You know the one.

- Oh, say hello from Rosco.
- Too late.

Listen, you, Rosco, uh,
you know there's only

two flies in this
here arrangement.

- That's Bo and Luke Duke.
- That's who I mean.

'If you wanna get
your cut of this..'

I do.

Less overhead and
carrying charges

you get out there and make
sure that them two particular flies

keep away from me and
Daisy until we pull this off.

Oh, I'm gone.

That's how we do business
here in Hazzard, Mr. Bobo.

Oh, Professor Crandall,
eh, J.D Hogg here.

'Hey listen, I got a nice job'

While Boss was cooking
up troubles for Daisy

the Duke boys was racing
to see who'd take Muriel

into the clogging festival.

The cauldron was a-boilin'
in Carter Stewart's mansion,

they was gonna pour poor
little old Daisy in the soup.

And I hate that.

Why doesn't Harry call?

Could be 'cause he came
up empty... like always.

Before he left for Hazzard,
he said he had one of the best

leads he's ever had.

If he doesn't find her this
time I think it's about time

for an old man to
give up his dream.

And call off the search.

Now, that dude on
the right is bad news.

His wife is pretty
bad news herself.

As soon as he calls off the
hunt we become his sole heirs.

What if Harry
does find the girl?

Then we make sure our beloved
uncle never sees her, alive.

Nothing is gonna stand in the
way of us inheriting everything.

- You're doing alright.
- Yeah?

Well?

: : - You're kiddin'?

Ha ha ha A dead heat!

Too bad other folks
can't settle their problems

the same way, huh.

'Now, let me get this straight.'

Professor Crandall
here is a hypnotist?

And he's gonna hypnotize
Daisy into believin'

she really is Vivian Stewart?

Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you got it right.

'Y-you tell him, professor.'

Oh, it's quite simple really.

When she's hypnotized,
I'll program her

with the information
you'll have given me.

'Including some of the
characteristics her mother had.'

That's it, he'll program her

with all them
little family traits.

You do know all about
the family, don't you?

I mean, the idiosyncrasies,
skeletons in the closet..

I do. I've got to know
'em all, real well.

Good! Then we can make sure
that we'll make Daisy believe

she is Vivian Stewart.

Who's that?

Sheriff said you want
to see me, Mr. Hogg.

'Enos, Enos, listen.'

We've been getting
a lot of complaints

about all them potholes
up there on Cherry Lane.

Now, I want you to get out
there and don't you come back

until you counted every
single one of them potholes.

Yes, sir. But that could
take a couple days, sir.

Well, of course it could. So
get out there and start counting.

Yes, sir. Have a nice day, sir.

'There they are!'

We all remember that Boss
sent Rosco to handle the Dukes.

Rosco remembered,
too. Which is unusual.

Surprise, surprise.

For crying out loud,
what are you doing?

If you thinking about
citing us, you can forget it

'cause we're standing
on private property.

That's right. We got
written permission right here

from Mr. Chester saying we
can race all day. Take a look.

D-did anybody say anything
about citing you boys?

I didn't say
anything about that.

You boys just go round and
around just as much as you want.

Flash and I will just
relax here and watch you.

You can save
yourself the trouble.

We were just gonna
have us a beer.

- Oh, well, I'll buy you one.
- Are you feeling alright?

Don't look a gift horse in the
mouth. I'll take you up on that.

We'll meet you
at the Boar's Nest.

No you can't go to the Boar's
Nest. I mean we can't go..

Why not?

Why?

Flash, tell the boys why they
can't go to the Boar's Nest.

That's right, because,
uh, if I go to the Boar's Nest

the Boss will see. I'll
be drinking on duty.

We'll take a rain
check on it then.

You get yourself some rest.

Appreciate the offer, Rosco.

Rosco CB'd Boss.

Telling him that the Dukes
boys was heading his way.

Alright, Rosco. I hear you.

Why couldn't you
keep 'em out longer?

Alright, no use
crying over it now.

Over and out. Listen, we got
to do this thing real fast now.

I'm gonna call Daisy and see.

I'm gonna tell her she's
been working too hard

so she's gotta relax and we
got a new way for her to do it.

That's when you do,
what you do so well.

Rosco encourages us to keep
racing. Then offers to buy beer.

When we mention the Boar's Nest

he acts like he's
been snake bit.

I don't know, Bo.

I just know I don't like it.

Don't y'all worry none,
folks. It'll hit 'em eventually.

While they were wondering
what was going on

the goings-on were going on.

You're getting very sleepy.

You can't keep your eyes open.

'That's it.'

She's asleep.

Oh, she is, huh?

Alright, alright.

Now, then, tell
her about tonight.

Daisy, can you hear me?

Yes, I can hear you.

We want you to return
here tonight at eight o'clock.

You're to tell no one
where you're going or why.

And if Bo and Luke
come snoopin' around

you send them on their way.

'Now, when I snap my fingers..'

'...you'll wake up and
you'll feel real good.'

And you won't remember anything.

What am I doin' here?

Oh, Daisy, we were just helping
you relax in a nice new way.

On account you
was working so hard.

An-and now that you feel better

you just better get back
in there and finish up.

- Yeah, Boss.
- Mm-hm.

Excuse me.

Mm-hm.

Amazing.

But tell me, are
there any side effects?

She might be little short
tempered for a day or two.

But nothing serious.

What's the matter, Daisy?
You hardly touched your food.

All you doing is
looking at the clock.

Eh, Daisy? Daisy.

Daisy, where are you going?

What did I say?

You three have some
kind of a row or something?

No.

We saw her at the
Boar's Nest this afternoon

and she was acting strange then.

- We better go after her.
- Just a minute, Bo.

What?

Let her go. She's allowed
to have her moods, too.

She'll be back.

With Daisy under
hypnosis, Professor Crandall

programmed her from Bobo's
notes about Vivian's past.

Everything that happened
before Vivian disappeared.

Daisy was being convinced
that she was Vivian Stewart.

- That does it.
- It does, huh?

Don't forget we got to show her
the way she's supposed to dress.

We want to make sure
she dressed right, don't we?

Right.

Open your eyes.

Now, we need two phrases.
Similar but yet different.

To tell the young lady,
who you want her to be.

Now, one phrase
would tell her to be

Vivian Stewart. The
other, Daisy Duke.

And I got them, too.
Listen, how's this?

Jefferson Davis
Hogg and J.D. Hogg.

Excellent. Excellent.

Now, my dear, when
you hear the words

Jefferson Davis
Hogg you will become..

Vivian Stewart.

But when you hear J.D.
Hogg, you will be Daisy Duke.

- 'Do you understand?'
- Yes.

Go ahead, test her.

Oh, yeah. Alright, I will.

Eh, Jefferson Davis Hogg.

Hello, what's your name?

My name is Vivian
Stewart, naturally.

Boy howdy, how many husbands

would like to try
that on their wives?

Or vice-versa.

Hm, I see.

J.D. Hogg.

'Hello, what's your name?'

- Santa Claus.
- Eh?

Boss, you know my
name is Daisy Duke.

What the heck are you
asking me these questions for?

Oh, it works, it
works doesn't it?

Yeah.

Now, if there's anything
else you want to tell her

tell her before I wake her up.

Oh, yeah yeah,
there is something.

When you wake up, you
will go home and go to sleep.

And then in the
morning you will get up

and come back to
work at a.m. sharp.

Now, when I snap my
fingers you will wake up

and you will remember nothing.

Except what we
told you to remember.

- Boss?
- Oh, hello, Daisy.

Say, I wanna tell you,
you did a real good job

on the inventory tonight.

- I did?
- Yeah, you sure did.

And I hope you've enjoyed
yourself a relaxation, too.

And now it's time to go home.

- Goodnight.
- Goodnight, my Daisy.

Goodnight.

Goodnight. Thank you. Goodnight.

It's gonna work!
It's gonna work!

And now, mister, uh..

- Bobo.
- Bobo!

It's time for you to make
that $ , phone call.

Okay.

Yes, Harry. I've been
waiting for your call.

Where?

Boar's Nest in Hazzard? Go on.

I found your granddaughter,
sir. No doubt about it.

We'll leave first
thing in the morning.

Splendid, Harry.

Harry's found my Vivian.

This calls for a drink.

I'll go get that brandy I've
been saving all these years

for this very moment.

What do we do now?

You borrow a car
that Harry hasn't seen.

And we go to Hazzard..

Find out whether or not
Harry is tellin' the truth.

And if he is?

We'll see to it..

That little Vivian doesn't
make it back here alive.

Uncle Jesse, if she ain't
back here in five minutes

me and Bo are
gonna go look for her.

Just a minute, you two.
Just settle down and she'll..

There she is now.
All safe and sound.

You two have been
frettin' over nothin'.

Well, you were frettin', too.

We kept your dinner for you.

We can just throw
it in the oven and..

Yeah, we were sure
worried about you, Daisy.

Now ain't that somethin'?

Even hypnotized, you never
know how they're gonna act.

Let her go.

Tomorrow we're all going
to sit down there to breakfast

and nobody's getting
up until we find out

why she's acting tickier than
a hound dog at a flea circus.

I'm gonna make some coffee.

- Daisy!
- Hey!

Where do you
suppose she's goin'?

- I don't know.
- I don't know.

Hey, D-Daisy!

Oh, sh**t!

- Well, that tears it.
- W-W-Well, just go get her.

Bring her back here.

Bring her back if
we gotta hog-tie her.

If that's whats
you gotta do, do it.

But I want her sitting at
that table so I can talk to her.

Let's go, Bo. Come on.

Doggone! So sneaky.

I tell you, this is it.

There isn't anything
better than this.

Oh, I love this.

Luke, she's gotten
an awful big head start.

I heard that.

She must have taken
Peach Tree Road.

Hit it.

Neither rain nor sleet nor snow

can keep the
mail from it's task.

But Rosco wasn't the mail.

And the high winds
could slow him up.

But there was no
high winds that day.

Now Rosco's little
trap weren't subtle.

But it worked.

- You alright?
- Yeah, I'm fine.

sh**t. They're
both flat over here.

Yeah, flat as pancakes
on this side too.

Who could do a thing like that?

I don't know.

Ah, sh**t.

'One guess.'

'Here they are.'

Just like we planned.

Good morning, Rosco.

Alright, you Dukes.

See, you done messed
up again, haven't ya?

Did you gentlemen
happened to know

that you cannot drive
a vehicle with flat tires.

It's against the law.

Not only that. It's
dang near impossible.

Rosco, for crying out loud,
it ain't our fault. You did it.

- M-Me?
- What's going on, Rosco?

What funny business you up to?

Oh, see shame, shame
passing the blame.

I'm glad Flash ain't here to
hear these sinful accusations.

I gotta search your vehicle.

Hold on a second. What
are you gonna search for?

Hm? Oh, w-what for?

I'll know that when
I find it, won't I?

Just step back here.

Okay, let's see what we have.

Here, my look at that.

- What are you doing?
- Rosco.

Oh, there that's
a mess, ain't it?

He's obviously operating
under Boss' orders.

Oh, well.

'I'm going to let you off'

'with just a warning this time.'

But if I were you, I'd
clean up this mess.

Do you reckon the
funny way he's acting

has got something to do
with Daisy's been acting?

I don't know. Let's get this CB
back together as fast as we can.

So we can find out.

We've programmed the way she is.

I'll bet she'll come
right here at sharp o'..

Yeah! there she is now.

Friends, they're
up to no-o-o good.

Hey, you right on
time. a.m. sharp.

Good Lord!

She looks exactly like her ma.

'No doubt about it.'

'Oh, that's Vivian.'

It sure is a shame..

Her dyin' so young.

Come on. I got a lot of work
for you to do in this room.

Eh, first of all, I
want you to, um..

Wait a minute. Eh,
something wrong?

No, uh..

Oh, yes, Boss.

I can't recollect
how I got here.

- Oh.
- Or what I'm doing here?

I just...

Well I'm glad you told..
Jefferson Davis Hogg.

Vivian?

Yes.

Oh, Vivian, uh, look here.

I got you all them
clothes that you ordered.

My-o-my, this sure is pretty.

This ought to about
do it. Here we go.

The last time Luke tried that..

It fixed the stereo.

- Hold your breath.
- Give that a try.

Lost Sheep to Shepherd. Lost
Sheep to Shepherd. Come back.

'This is Shepherd, Lost Sheep.'

Hey, hey, you done good.

Listen, we got us a problem.

The boys got the CB working
to call Uncle Jesse and tell him

about their predicament
and their suspicions.

Well, alright. I'm going
out looking for Daisy myself.

Now if you're right about J.D.
being in the middle of this all

start at the Boar's Nest.

'In the meantime I'm
going to get a hold'

' of Cooter and send him
over there with some tires.'

Appreciate it.
That's a big - .

Oh my, oh my.

Vivian, you sure
look plum elegant.

Just like your
momma always done.

- Hey, Boss.
- Hm?

Listen, I-I..

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to
butt in with you and Daisy here.

Oh, wait a minute. This
ain't Daisy, you dodo!

- No?
- No, this is Vivian Stewart.

Vi.. Oh, Vivian Stewart.

Hello.

'Now, what kind of
news you bringing me?'

Oh oh, good news. Good news.

See, I took care of those Dukes.

The who?

The Dukes. You know, Bo
and Luke Duke, your cousins.

Oh, no, excuse me, officer.

My only cousin
is Alan Fairchild.

'Of the Savannah Fairchilds.'

Oh, the Savannah..

Don't you get it? Oh, Rosco.

I should've paid the professor
to convince you you're Flash.

So if Boss and Rosco are
trying to keep us and Daisy apart

for some reason.

You don't know what's
going on, do you?

No, I ain't heard
nothing, y'all.

Is there anything I can do?

We appreciate the offer, Cooter.

But I guess Uncle
Jesse's got it under control.

That is, if he can
find Daisy in time.

- In time for what?
- We don't know what.

But, we ain't gonna find
out standing around here.

Let's get going.

Sure thanks a lot,
Cooter. We appreciate it.

We'll catch you on
them tires next week.

'Yeah, that's what
you said last time.'

Come on, let's go, now.

- Come on. I'll lock up.
- Okay.

- Hey, Daisy.
- Jesse.

How come you're
dressed like that?

I beg your pardon, sir.

I really don't know
what you're talking about.

- My name is Vivian Stewart.
- Vivian..

J.D. Hogg, what are
you trying to pull now?

- Uncle Jesse.
- Yeah.

'What are you doing here?'

Well, I just brought
the truck and I..

- How come you're..
- Where did I get these clothes?

Uncle Jesse, I don't know
what's going on with me.

Jesse, you know my full name is
Jefferson Davis Hogg, don't you?

Excuse me, sir.

I don't know what
came over me, I..

Well, well, well, help her
to the car, why don't you?

Listen, Jesse, we're on
our way to Capitol City

to do a TV commercial
for the Boar's Nest.

- Ain't that somethin'?
- Well, how can...

Well, uh, Daisy's
gonna help out.

That's why she's
dressed so fancy.

But she don't even know me.

She acts like she's
just plumb loco.

Yeah, she's rehearsing,
don't you know?

Because the theme
of the commercial is:

"You won't recall a
thing when you drink

a Boar's Nest Sling."

- Get it? Ain't that good?
- No, I don't get it.

'What are you doing? Daisy.'

- Where are they going?
- Follow 'em.

Pass that old man.

Dang. Dang it.

Cut 'em off when they start
rounding that bend up ahead.

Watch it!

Daisy and Vivian
are both in trouble.

And that's double jeopardy.

Well, do we try again?

We do... but not now.

'Come on, let's get outta here.'

Luke's CB repair
was held together

by spit and baling wire.

And communications
with Jesse was a-teetering

precariously on the precipice.

That's about as
good as it's gonna get.

Shepherd, this is Lost
Sheep, come back.

This is Shepherd, Lost
Sheep. I hear you good.

Did you see Daisy?
Is she alright?

Yeah, I think I saw her.
I-I'm not sure I tell you.

I ran into little trouble
here on Blue Bonnet Road

'and I need your help. I'll tell
you about it when you get here.'

'We're on our way.'

Oh, did you hear that, Flash?

Luke just thinks he's
on his way, ah? Good!

Come on, darling. We're
gonna cut him off at the pass.

Well, Rosco took every shortcut
he could think of to catch up

with the boys... and he did.

Rosco was really cooking.
He was right twice in one day.

Alright... this is
your sheriff speaking.

Pull over and that's an order.

He's bird-doggin' us again.

Well, not for long. Hold on.

- Well, they look alright.
- Yeah.

Nothin's hurt but their pride.

I'll get even. I tell you.
Oh, darling! Are you alright?

What happened to the pick up?

I ain't got time to mess
with it. Let's get going.

Yes, sir.

- Here, gimme a hand.
- Up in there. Here you go.

This is the last straw. It's..

That's funny. You get
it? This is the last straw.

Jesse told the boys all about
runnin' into Boss and Daisy

and the stranger. And how
peculiar Daisy had acted.

And all about the car that
forced him off the road.

All I know is... uh-uh this
crazy driver come along

with this lady wearing
funny sunglasses

and run me off the road.

sh**t! It makes no
sense at all to me.

We do know that Rosco has
been trying to keep us away

from Daisy which
means that Boss has got

some kind of scam going on.

That puts Daisy right smack
dab in the middle, don't it

But there's no way Daisy'd help
J.D. out with one of his scams.

Well, that means that
either she ain't aware of it

or maybe she's doing
it against her will.

Let's head to Boss' office
and see what we can find.

Alright.

I was just thinking
about your grand daddy.

What was that you
used to call him?

- I used to call him grandpoppy.
- Grandpoppy! That's it.

Alright, in there.

The last straw. I
still think that's funny.

Don't you think
that's a little bit funny?

Oh, you don't think it's funny.

Alright, pull up.

- Little more.
- You got it?

- Yeah, I think so.
- Alright.

- Here we go.
- Watch your head.

Oh!

- You alright?
- 'Yeah, I'm alright.'

Hang on a second. There
you go. Watch your head.

We shouldn't be in here.

- Well, we're in here now.
- Yeah.

What is it we're looking for?

Oh, anything
that'll tell us about

what's happening with Daisy.

Yeah, I'll check the desk.

He's gonna come
back here any minute.

Well, we'll know
if they are here.

Hey... here's a picture of
Daisy I ain't never seen before.

What?

Uh, me neither. Uncle Jesse?

Well, oh, she never
had no clothes like that.

I wonder what it's
doing in Boss' office.

I don't know.

Hey, ya'll..

Look at here. The last
entry in Boss' ledger... says

he paid $ to a
Professor Crandall.

- You're kidding me.
- No.

You remember Professor
Crandall. He's the one..

Wait a minute. He's
that fellow that had you

believing that General Lee
was some sorta piece of trash.

- He's hypnotist, ain't he?
- That's right.

'You don't suppose J.D.
had Daisy hypnotized.'

Well, that does explain why
she'd know me one minute

and then wouldn't
know me the next.

I wonder what he's
got up his sleeve.

I don't know. Wait a minute.

Maybe it's got
something to do with a $

long distance phone
call to... Mr. Carter Stuart.

- Don't mean nothin' to me.
- Huh, me neither.

I-I've been reading something
about a Carter Stuart.

Uh, in the Hazzard Gazette.

- Newspaper?
- Yeah.

- Let's go.
- The story is in there..

Let's head over to
the files. Come on.

Come in.

'Um, Mr. Stuart, sir.
I'd like you to meet... '

Vivian!

Do you remember me at all?

Oh, yes, I do remember you.

Harry, I can't thank you enough.

Ahem. Ahem.

Well, the thanks
rightfully belong

to this gentlemen here, sir.

There just aren't words to
express my gratitude, sir.

Oh, why, just seeing the
two of you together now

oughta be thanks
enough for me, Mr. Stuart.

'Oh, didn't Harry tell
you that I had planned'

'to reward you
amply for your help?'

Reward? Uh, did you say reward?
Uh, for doing the right thing?

I don't know if my conscience
would allow me to take it.

Well, we'll discuss
all that over lunch

at which time, Vivian
can meet her cousin

Alan Fairchild and
his wife Bonnie.

"When Mr. Carter Stewart
was interviewed at his estate

"he said he would
continue to look for

"his long lost
granddaughter, Vivian

"no matter how long it takes.

"A reward will be paid to
anyone having any information

as to her whereabouts."

That sure looks like
the same picture we saw

in Boss' office, don't it?

Yeah, only this ain't Daisy.
This is Vivian's mother.

Daisy called herself Vivian
in front of the Boar's Nest.

'Then it all makes sense.'

Seeing that Daisy is a dead
ringer for Vivian's mother

Boss had Professor Crandall
come in and hypnotize Daisy

into believing
that she's Vivian.

That way, he could get
that whole reward to himself.

- That's right.
- Ain't that like J.D. Hogg?

Uncle Jesse, now, when
that car ran you off the road

where'd it go?

Uh, come to think of it,
they went after the car

that Daisy was in.

Then maybe there is somebody
who don't want Vivian to show up.

I think we owe ourselves
a visit to Carter Stewart.

I do, too. Listen,
we're gonna go do that.

Why don't you stay at the
farm and-and listen to the C.B.?

Maybe Daisy'll call or we
might need something, okay?

I'll be over here.

Tell me, child. You do
remember some things

when you were a little girl?

Yes. I seem to
recall some things.

Do you remember the
name of your favorite doll?

Her name was... Annie.

Annie... Annie Marie.

'And it was you who
gave it to me. Grandpoppy!'

Grandpoppy! My golly!

If you remember that name, there
is no need for anymore questions

Welcome home, Vivian.

Now then, sir. I insist
upon showing you

my gratitude, Mr..

Uh, Hogg, sir. J.D. Hogg.

What the heck am
I doing here? Boss!

Uh, that's Jefferson Davis Hogg.

'Vivian, what were
you about to say?'

Oh, listen. I don't think she
was gonna say nothing, sir.

She's so excited
on meeting her kin.

Uh, th-there just ain't
nothing more for her to say.

Ain't that right, Vivian?

I think you must
be right, Mr. Hogg.

'Well, of course it is.'

But, Mr. Stewart, what
were you just about to say?

Oh, yes, well, uh, Bonnie.

Uh, why don't you and Alan
show your cousin around a bit?

While I conduct
a little business

with Mr. J.D. Hogg here.

- Yeah.
- Boss!

Ah, Jefferson
Davis Hogg, that is.

I assume... you want the
$ , check made out

to Jefferson Davis Hogg.

No, J.D. Hogg will do.
That takes less time to write.

Alan honey, why don't
you take your cousin Vivian

for a nice ride. Maybe
up Red Ridge Hill.

Well, that'd be
real nice. Vivian.

- Thank you.
- My pleasure.

Now, you just do
what I told you to do.

And after poor Vivian's
funeral, we're gonna become

that old man's sole heirs.

Eh, what is this?

'Oh, no!'

- It's them.
- What's happening?

Well-well, I don't know.
Follow me around every place.

Luke, ain't that them glasses
Uncle Jesse was talking about?

- Could be.
- What're you boys doing here?

Listen, we came to find
Daisy. Now, where is she?

Look, you're on private
property. So, just...

Boss, there's no time for your
shenanigans. Where's Daisy?

Did somebody try runnin' you
off the road on your way here?

Yes, but we thought
it was an accident.

Yeah, well, w-what're
you asking for?

Well, because that
lady was in the car.

I don't know what
you're talking about.

Oh, besides, why would
I do anything like that?

I can answer that.

If anything happened to Vivian

they'd stand to
inherit a fortune.

Sorry, Hogg, but I didn't
think I'd get in anything like this.

Alright, lady. Where's
our cousin, Daisy?

Your Cousin Daisy? You
mean, she's not Vivian?

- Well..
- That's right, she's not.

She's our cousin, Daisy.
Now, where is she?

Tell us or you'll
spend your life in jail.

M-my husband, he just
took her up Red Ridge Hill.

It's just first turn off
you come to, hurry.

- You're going nowhere.
- Oh, yes she is.

She's going with us because
maybe there's something I can do

to make amends for what
I've done. Come on, come on.

- You get back in here.
- Get in there, honey.

Is something wrong?

Hm, seems like
it. I better check.

Alan's cuttin' the
brake line, folks.

Which means, if that car
starts off down that steep hill

it ain't gonna stop
till it hits Birmingham.

Vivian, would you mind
sliding over and driving the car

a ways down the hill?
I just wanna check.

- See if we're losing any oil.
- Of course.

Goodbye, Vivian Stewart.

Oh, my goodness.

Uh-oh! Next stop, Birmingham.

I bet you, that's Alan.

Yeah, that means Daisy is
on the other side of that hill.

Let's hope so anyway.

Bo, she ain't got no brakes.

You're gonna have
to cut in front of her.

sh**t! There's only one way
we can get around her now.

Hang on.

Friends and neighbors, I feel a
big one coming up. Watch this.

Well, we still got
a fine chance.

You're gonna have to get her
to stop before that corner there.

Okay, got it. Here she comes.

- Daisy, you alright?
- You alright?

Yes. Yes, I'm fine.

But my name is Vivian Stewart.

Oh, yeah. That-that's
our mistake.

Well, listen, uh, Vivian, can
we give you a ride into town?

No, I don't think so. I'd
better wait for my cousin, Alan.

Thank you. Thank
you for what you did.

Well, we-we're okay, uh..

- Listen, we'll take you to him.
- Yeah.

Well, I always have depended
on the kindness of strangers.

Well, come on then.

- That's far enough.
- What is this all about?

Cousin Alan, what are you doing?

These young men
just saved my life.

- I don't understand this.
- Temporarily saved your life.

I'm sorry, it's all
over, Cousin Alan.

That is unless
you pull that trigger.

Then it'll just be
startin' for you.

Oh!

Stop here. Alright.
Alright, come on.

Daisy! Daisy! Are you alright?
I sure hope you're alright.

Listen, will you forgive me
because listen, I know I spend

all my time trying
to make a buck.

'I never but never intended
to put you in no danger.'

Please believe me,
Daisy. Believe me.

I don't understand
why you call me Daisy.

My name is Vivian Stewart. I...

Listen, we're gonna take care
of that right now, right, Boss?

You're gonna take
care of it, right?

I sure am. Uh,
Vivian... J.D. Hogg.

- Daisy?
- Hey, Bo!

- Hey, Boss.
- Hello, Daisy.

- Thank you, Boss.
- Yeah.

Well, uh..

Wait, what am I doing here?

Thanks a lot Boss. It's a
long story. It is a long story.

We'll take you on and I'm
gonna tell you all about that.

Ah!

Alan and Bonnie got to inherit

a prison number,
instead of money.

Boss got Crandall
to de-hypnotize Daisy.

And after Carter
Stewart learned the truth

and who was
responsible for what..

He looked on the brighter side.

Especially when Daisy promised

to visit him regularly
in the future.

- Oh, I promise.
- Ah!

Boss and old Bobo felt
so bad about what nearly

happened to Daisy, Boss
gave Daisy the week off

while him and Bobo
did all of her chores.

Daisy did get something special.

Bo, Luke and Uncle Jesse

insisted on doing
all the cooking

and the dishes for one day.

They all got indigestion.

And things went back
to normal in Hazzard.
