- Mom?

- Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance, don'’t you?

- It'’s okay.

It'’s just me... Jax.

- How did you find me? - My sister...

The one I had no idea about until now?

She gave me your address.

- Jessie? She'’s all right? You'’ve seen her?

I'’ve been worried sick.

- Yeah, she'’s fine. She'’s staying with us.

- Thank heaven.

I'’ve been looking everywhere for her.

Has she met her father?

- Dad?

Yeah, she has. - Oh, no.

I was afraid of that.

Jake, he'’s...

Look, I know he'’s your dad,

but by now I'’m sure you can see his flaws.

- Okay...

Well, I guess it'’s time for me to ask you some questions.

This whole time I thought you were dead.

And then all of a sudden, you'’re alive and,

and I have this sister that I never even knew about.

How? Why?

- Your father must have erased your memory after I left.

- What? How? Why?

I'’m sure he was very angry.

- I just don'’t understand why you left.

- When I first met your father, he was so handsome and charming,

it was love at first sight.

He swept me off my feet.

You know, you look just like him.

- So, Jessie, where did your brother go today?

- Isn'’t he in school?

- No, he isn'’t.

They called and said he was absent.

I'’m worried about him.

- He'’s fine.

I mean, I'’m sure he'’s fine.

- Jessie, please, this is important.

I'’m his father.

- I'’m his sister, and I promised I wouldn'’t tell.

Look, we'’re all family and we all care about each other.

So, where is he then?

- Emma Alonso?

- Here.

- Maddie Van Pelt?

- Present and fabulous!

- How much time is left? [phone beeps]

- Seven hours, minutes, and seconds.

- [sighing]

- Andi Cruz.

- Present and ferocious!

- What are we doing here?

I have less than eight hours to go "pfft" forever

and we'’re spending it in history class?

- I'’m working on what to try next!

But until we get an idea,

the best thing we can do is what we always do.

Maybe that will trigger your memory.

- I, I didn'’t know about spells, or magic, or anything.

I didn'’t even know he was a wizard until after we had you.

Can you imagine keeping that a secret from me?

I didn'’t want that life.

You already had your powers and Jessie was just a baby.

Jake was already talking about her becoming something...

A Special One?

- The Chosen One.

But, of course, not what you wanted for Jessie, no.

- He wanted her to fight to become the Chosen One.

He said it was a great honor

but that it could be dangerous.

- Well, he'’s right.

- My little baby.

I had to get her out of there.

I wanted to take you too,

but I couldn'’t.

- And you just left me.

- It was the hardest thing I have ever done.

Not a day has gone by that I haven'’t regretted it.

But you'’re here now,

and I want to make it up to you.

Can you ever forgive me?

- Now what time?

- Six hours and minutes.

- Yes, just one minute after the last time you asked.

- Come on, Emma!

Tighten that thinking cap!

What?

It'’s something my dad always says.

- Ideas, people.

I need your help.

You remember that time you hit your head on the diving block

and I had to help you out of the pool?

- Uh...

What? No!

- Come on, you were so out of it

you thought you were drowning in a vat of pudding.

[girls chuckling]

- [clenching teeth] I think you'’re mixing up

all your memories, Daniel.

- Fine, let'’s say this happened hypothetically.

This is like that...

Times a million.

- Have you tried hypnosis?

I'’ve heard it'’s been used to recover memories.

- It can? - Oh, yeah.

The CIA does it all the time.

So I'’ve heard.

- This one time I saw a magician hypnotize people

to the point that they thought they were chickens.

- Fun!

- I'’ll take the risk.

Let'’s do it. [phone beeping]

- Okay, I'’m gonna need one of these hypno-wheels.

- Done.

Viola!

- It'’s "voilà."

Never mind.

- Relax your mind and stare into the wheel.

as you stare into the wheel.

Stare into the wheel.

- [clucking]

- Anything?

- No.

At least not for me.

- The special of the day is fried chicken!

Come and get it!

- [clucking loudly]

- I got her.

- Can you ever forgive me?

- You really should forgive her, Jax.

You know what they say.

To mess up is natural, but to forgive is...

It'’s way, way better.

- What are you doing here anyway?

- Young wizard,

do you think that with all of your father'’s resourcefulness

and cleverness, he wouldn'’t have been able to find Liana?

It has taken the powers of the entire Van Pelt coven

to keep your mother hidden.

Hmm?

- I thought you didn'’t want anything to do with the Realm.

- I didn'’t. But I knew I needed help

and I knew there were good witches and bad witches.

The Van Pelts are some of the good ones.

Unfortunately your father is one of the bad ones.

- And you just decided to help

out of the goodness from your heart, huh?

- What are you implying?

- Mom, she didn'’t care about helping you.

She only cared about keeping Jessie away from the Realm

so that her daughter could be the Chosen One.

- [high-pitched] What?

That is absolutely, % untrue.

[whispering] Okay, maybe it'’s like % true,

but mostly totally untrue.

- I, I can'’t be here, I have to go.

- No, don'’t go!

Now that I found you, or you found me,

I don'’t ever want to lose you again.

- I have to think about all this.

- Of course you do.

You'’re smart and you'’re brave and understanding--

everything I'’d hoped you'’d be.

Come back soon?

You know where I live.

- I do now.

- Take care of your sister.

or word problems.

- Alert, alert!

Nerd approaching! Nerd approaching!

- I just keep hoping something will suddenly make sense.

- Hey, Emma, I'’ve been doing some research

and one of the things that scientists say

is that a key to memory recovery is being in a relaxed state.

- If that'’s true then we'’ve been going about this all wrong!

- I don'’t know. I mean, what'’s more relaxing

than telling someone he'’s going to disappear forever

if he doesn'’t remember you in... an hour and minutes.

- Quick, we'’ve got to get Daniel to relax.

What'’s relaxing?

- Music?

- Yes!

Can I borrow this?

- Uh, sure. - Thanks!

What else?

- Uh, how about something to drink, like warm milk?

- Right!

Diego! Warm milk.

Anything else?

- How about a massage?

Uh, does anyone know Shiatsu?

- I do!

Happy to help. - Great!

Let'’s do this now!

Daniel!

You need to relax!

- Okay, Emma, yelling at him to relax

is not gonna help him relax.

Take a deep breath.

- [breathing deeply]

Try to relax.

It helps with memory.

- I don'’t know if I can.

- We'’re going to help you.

Diego, my best friend.

Maddie, my best girl.

I'’ve done some thinking and I'’ve decided.

- Yeah, Maddie.

- Anything for you, bro.

- Sweat pants have elastic waistbands,

Jax Three?

Jax Four?

- Hey...

Where'’s Emma?

- For the hundredth time, that is not my name!

- She'’s not gonna believe what just happened.

- Is it gonna help bring back Daniel'’s memory?

- No!

- Well, then do yourself a favor,

Girl'’s in the zone.

- It has to be in here!

Come on, Hexie, give me something I can use.

- Hi, Jax.

- Oh, hey, Daniel.

Well, let'’s see. You came out of nowhere and--

- Jax!

Not the time.

- You'’re not that bad.

- Well, you won'’t have to worry about me

being around much longer.

I just want to say goodbye.

- I'’m so sorry, Daniel.

I can'’t imagine what you'’re going through right now.

- I need to say goodbye to somebody else,

but I need your help.

You think you could help me out?

- Sure.

All right, I'’m ready to go back.

- Wait-- aren'’t you gonna--

- I just wanted to see them one more time

before they disappear forever.

And remember them...

just like this.

- Okay.

- [groaning]

- Easy, Emm.

Don'’t take it out on Hex.

- You'’re right.

I'’m sorry, Hex.

This is my fault, not yours.

Do you forgive me?

- Well, good luck, man...

whatever happens.

- Thanks.

Aren'’t you gonna come in?

- Not right now.

- Half an hour.

- [sighing]

- I'’m so sorry, Daniel.

I can'’t believe I did this to--

- It'’s okay.

You thought you were doing the right thing

by bringing me back to this life.

So, how should I spend my last half-hour?

The beach, the pool?

And don'’t say Sudoku, I get that you really love Sudok--

- Your house!

- Huh?

- Just come with me.

This may be our last chance.

Take care of Hex, will you?

- On it.

- Why are we here?

We already came here once and I didn'’t remember you.

- But we didn'’t go inside.

Yeah, you said the people here are kind of jerks.

- That'’s true.

But now'’s no time to be afraid of jerks.

- What'’s this for?

[doorbell ringing]

- You'’ll see.

Just play along.

- You again?

What do you want?

WOMAN: Who is it?

- The annoying girl from across the street again.

WOMAN: And what does she want?

We don'’t have any more cookies.

- There'’s been reports of gas leaks in the neighborhood!

This inspector thinks it may be coming from your house.

- Why does he have a...

Is that a snake?

- This is Francois.

He'’s a gas-sniffing boa.

He can detect leaks very well.

What'’s that, boy?

Methane gas?

- Maria!

We'’ve got a gas leak!

Get out of the house!

- Wait for me!

Wait!

- Hey, who are you with?

Where'’s Jax?

- I can go wherever I want whenever I want.

- Oh, yeah?

Cool, then, uh, I'’ll just text Jax

and let him know you'’re here... alone.

- No!

Just...

Can I just hang here for a few minutes?

Just need some time to myself.

- Are you okay?

- Yeah, I'’m...

[sobbing]

Oh...

That is the worst fake cry I have ever seen.

- It was pretty good. - Oh, please.

You know what, I have been known to bring down

an entire auto shop of mechanics with my fake cry.

Now, let'’s go.

- Whoa!

What'’s that?

- Uh, it'’s the, uh...

I guess it'’s okay for you to know.

This is the Hexoren, AKA Hex.

AKA Hexie, AKA my pal.

- You'’re friends with a book?

- This is not any ordinary book.

Practically every spell in the magic realm is in here.

Plus, he'’s an excellent dancer.

- So cool!

I mean, for a book.

Okay, you win.

But can you buy me a slice of pizza?

There'’s no food in the house since Dad and Jax just...

when they'’re hungry.

- Fine, but wait here.

[zipper dragging]

- Remember all the good times we had in here?

Remember our anniversary dinner,

when the T dumped orange goo on you?

Of course you don'’t remember.

It didn'’t look anything like this.

Go back out.

- Why?

- Just do it.

When things look right all will be clear,

get these people'’s stuff out of here.

- Hey, guys, uh...

You guys hanging out or something?

- Yup. - No.

I found this little troublemaker by herself at The Seven.

Thought I'’d just bring her back where she belongs.

- Well, thanks.

- That'’s it?

No reward?

- Uh...

Here. - What?

- Buy yourself something nice.

- Okay, you live in this house

and this is what you offer me as a reward.

Wha--no way, I'’m keeping it now.

- Is Emma still at The Seven?

- No.

She went over to Daniel'’s for one last-ditch effort.

- Hmm.

I better go check up on her.

You stay here.

- Hey!

Don'’t worry, Hexie, I'’ll bring you back

when you help me learn how to be a real witch.

[doorbell ringing]

[knocking]

- Emma?

Are you here?

Hello?

- Emma, you don'’t have to do this.

- But there'’s still a minute left!

We can'’t give up!

- Calm down, it'’s over.

If this is gonna be my last minute on earth

I don'’t want to spend it watching you clean out a garage.

[sighing]

I know you feel bad, but you shouldn'’t.

I don'’t see somebody who did something bad to me.

I see someone who did everything she could to help me.

- It wasn'’t enough.

- Maybe not.

But we must have been pretty good friends

for you to fight so hard to try to save me.

I really wish I did know you.

You'’re a great person.

Will you make sure Billy makes it home all right?

- What?

Oh...

Sure.

Daniel, we were more than friends.

You were my first love!

I cared about you more than anything in the world!

- Daniel, what are you doing?

I thought it might do the trick.

- No!

I'’m sorry, but I'’m with Jax.

- Is this the end?

- I don'’t know.

[liquid sloshing]

Emma.

I remember you. I remember.

Um, you'’re not gonna believe this,

but I think we'’re about to get pranked.

- Jax, when did you--

[kids laughing]

- You'’ve been hosed!

- Drive-by hosing!

[laughter] - [shouting]

BOTH: T ! [laughing]

- It worked!

Daniel remembers me!

Are you okay?

- Yeah...

It'’s all just kind of rushing in kind of fast.

Whoa.

Billy?

What'’s happening to Billy?

Why is that happening?

Make it stop.

- I don'’t think I know any spells

to stop snakes from fading away.

- Billy!

Try something-- anything!

- Uh...

From this world you must not veer,

stay with us, don'’t disappear.

- Where did he go?

He'’s not from this life.

He didn'’t belong here.

- Danny, I'’m...

I'’m sorry.

What'’s wrong?

- I just remembered everything.

- That'’s great!

- I remembered how I ended up in my other life.

You chose Jax over me.
