Hello,
little tree.

You look like you
could use some water,

on such a hot,
sunny day.

[giggle]

Nick!
What are you doing?

Look out beloooooow!

I thought you were going to
help me water my garden.

I will,
Sally.

I just wanted
to test out my new

rubber boots first.

[Sigh]
This is hard work.

Every plant in the
garden needs some water.

You know what we need?

A GIANT hose

with thirty nozzles,

so you could water every
plant at the same time!

We don't need a
giant hose for that.

We need RAIN!

Then the whole garden
could have a drink.

And we'd get nice
deep puddles too!

But I don't think
it will rain today.

There isn't a cloud
in the sky.

HUH?

The Cat!

The Cat in the Hat!

Hurray!
Yippee!

The one and only,
at your service!

We thought you
were a rain cloud!

You see, Cat,
we need rain,

so all the plants
in my garden

can have a drink
at the same time.

Well if it's rain you want,
it's rain you'll get;

I know a place where
it always stays wet!

Really?

You do?

Sure!

The rain forest of
Drippety-droppety-plop!

It's a special kind of forest

where it rains every day!

A forest of rain?

A rain forest,
to be exact.

Want to take a trip?

Great idea!

We can bring back some
rain for my garden.

Your mother will not
mind at all if you do!

Hey Mom!

Can Nick and I go collect
rain from the rain forest?

Of course honey!

But don't forget to
take an umbrella.

Yes!

We can go!
We can go!

I know!

As for
the umbrella-

I've got you covered!

Whoa!

Weeeeeeee!

To the thingamajigger!



A quick flick of the
the jigga-ma-whizzer,

and we'll be knee-deep
in water in no time.

Ah, if you hadn't
noticed I'm already

knee deep in water.

At least I would be
if fish had knees.

[giggle]

drippity-droppity-plop!

[Nick] Oh, this place
is awesome.

[Sally] And there should be
plenty of rain here.

Speaking of rain.

Come on under my umbrella
before you get too wet.

But...I'm not
wet at all.

In fact,
I haven't felt

a single
drop of rain.

And there's
no puddles either.

Not even a
teensy tiny one.

Hmmm.
That is strange.

But nothing
we can't handle.

I'll just do what I do
when I want something done.

Whistle a tune for
Thing Two and Thing one!

[whistles]



Aaaaand Voila.

It's raining.



[laughs] That's
not real rain!

[laughs] We need real
rain, from the sky!

Well, if you're gonna
be picky about it.

[whistles]

Aaaaw!

[crash, bonk, bang]

Silly cat, there's
plenty of real rain.

To find it you
simply have to-

LOOK DOWN!

[Fish] What?
No. No. No.

That's not what I was
going to say at all.

What I was going to
say.... was-

How very strange.

Why those people
look like ants

from way up here.

[Sally] Hey...
they are ants.

Oh, well that
explains a lot.

Maybe they know
where to find rain?

Only one way to find out.

Excuse me,

could you tell us where
all the rain is?

RAIN,
YOU SAY?

Uh!

No need to shout.

I'll adjust the
voice-a-ma-boomer.

You were saying?

We don't see much rain
down here, I'm afraid.

Not much at all.

[Nick]
But...

I thought this was
a rain forest?

Oh-ho, there's plenty
of rain to be found.

You just have to go up .

Exactly what I was saying.

Then up we shall go!

Quick!
To the thingamajigger.

Hey, that's
my line.



Here we go!

[honk]

Rain-ward HO!

Hey, where did
everybody go?

[Nick] Uh, we're still
here, Cat.

It's just hard to
see through all the mist.

I can feel a
little bit of rain,

but still not
enough to collect.

And there's no puddles
way up here either.

Whoopsie-doodle.

All this mist
is making it hard

to steer around the
branches and leaves.

[honk]

[crash]

[squawk]

Whoa...
What was that ?

[squawk]

There it is again.

[squawk, squawk]

It's a bird with a
bright colored beak.

Not just any old bird.
A Toucan!

[squawk]

[squawk]

What brings you to this
part of the rain forest?

We don't get many
visitors up here.

We're looking for rain to
bring home to my garden.

Well it gets
very misty

and wet here,

but if it's rain
you're after,

you'll just have
to go up, up, UP!

Hmmm, am I the only
one sensing a pattern?

But how do we keep from
getting stuck again?

The mist makes it

very hard to
see anything.

We'd be happy
to guide you!

Just follow our lead.

[squawk, squawk]

This is as
far as we go.

You can fly
upwards from here.

Yes indeedy!

Wow. The leaves are
so thick up here.

[Gasp]
That must by what's

stopping the rain
from coming down.

Just like the
Cat's umbrella!

much bigger!

that's better.

[Gasp]
There's the sky!

We're almost at the top!

[howling]

WHOA!
What was that?

It sounded like a howl,

but what could be
howling way up here?

Is that what I think it is?

[laughs]

RAIN!
- RAIN!

Now it's really coming down.

The higher we go,
the more rain we find.

Then let's go higher!

We want lots of rain!

Ah-ah, ah-ah.
Speak for yourself!

[struggling sounds]

[howling]

There's that
howling sound again.

[howling]

Look!

That's where the sound
is coming from.

It's those monkeys.

[howling]

Excuse me monkeys-
why're you howling?

Because we're
howler monkeys .

Howling is what
we do best!

We love to howl
most when it rains.

[howling]

Would you like
to howl with us?

Oh,
sure!

You bet!

We're at the very top!

And it's super rainy up here!

Now we just need
to gather the rain

to take home to
my little tree.

[gasp!]
Oh no...

we didn't bring anything
to collect the rain with.

Look at that big cloud.

[Heh] Too bad we can't
just take it home with us.

Who says we can't?



[Nick] [Gasp]
It's working!

Of course it is.

The blower-ma-jigger
is the perfect tool

for taking a cloud
home with you.

YAYYY!

Soon my garden will have

all the rain it can drink.

We went to a forest
where rain never stops,

it always pours down

in great drips and great drops.

But the ground of the forest

was really quite dry,

the leaves blocked the rain

as it fell from the sky.

So there's only thing

that you really must know,

You'll find plenty more rain,

the higher you go.



[howling and laughing]

That's it.

Drink as much
rain as you like.

[Gasp]
The rain is stopping.

Don't worry.
It will be back.

Even if we have
to go find it!

You don't need
your umbrella, Cat.

It stopped raining.

True, but an umbrella
also makes

a tremendous shade
from the hot sun.

Finally we agree
on something!

[sigh]

Look!

A nice big puddle!

Time to try out
my new boots!

[giggle]

YAHOOOOO!



It's been raining
for hours!

Oh, I wish
it would stop.

What are we going to do?

[Gasp]
I know!

I'm going to wear
my lucky sweater!

Something great always
happens when I put it on.

[laughs]

Are you sure you don't mean
something 'messy'

always happens when
you put it on?

somewhere...

Here it is!

[struggle grunts]

Something's wrong.

[struggle grunts]

[Sigh]
Why can't I get it on?

[laughs]

[struggle grunts]

And it is rather worn.

He needs a new sweater.

It's my favourite.

You know I have a friend

who has exactly the
same problem as you.

[Gasp]
He does?

He has to change his
'lucky sweater'

all the time.

Really?

Sure.

And he makes
that fun too.

He's Slyde the Snake.

He lives in the desert
of Zim-Zam-a-Doo.

Do you both want to come?

You're mother will not
mind at all if you do.

Mom, can we go
meet a snake

in the desert of Zim-Zam-A-Doo?

Sure, but don't get
sand in your socks!

on your hands.

[sniffing sounds]

[grunts]

is a split from growing too big!

Who can wiggle like a snake?

Slyde at his own wiggle!

I can't wiggle very fast.

My sweater is too tight.

Just like my old ssskin.

I've been itching
to get it off.

You can take off your skin?

Yep, that's what sssnakes do!

Sally, You wiggled the
bestest and the fastest.

But where are
Nick and Slyde?

[grunt] But, don't

My old ssskin was great,

but I'm too big for it now.
