Sister:
cubs don't always like

Their assignments from school,

But sister gets one that

Turns out to be really cool.

Teacher jane:
I've decided to give everyone a
project to do over the weekend.

I want each of you to pick
a member of your family

And tell us why
they're so special.

You can draw pictures, write
a story, whatever you like.

Then the rest of the class
will learn about them,

And you might learn something
about them, too.

Any questions?

My dog's a special member
of my family.

Do dogs count?

I once saw a horse at the

(Laughing)

No dogs or horses.

What about cats?

No dogs, cats, horses,
turtles, frogs or fish.

Only mamas, papas,
sisters, brothers,

Or other bears

Lizzy!

Hello, sorry I can't stay.

If I turn my car off,
it might not start again.

It's been running
a little rough lately.

(Motor banging)

Your car is running,
mr. Bruin.

You're right, I guess I should
be happy it's running at all.

No, mr. Bruin, he means
it's running away!

What?

Oh no, not again!

Gotta go!

I'll pick you up later, lizzy!

Ok, bye, dad!

Maybe after brother's finished
riding his bike,

You could borrow it
and I could ride your bike.

Probably not.

Brother doesn't let anyone
touch his bike.

Not even me.

Vroom, vroom!

Vroom-vroom-vroom!

Whoa... Whoa!

Looks like we need to raise
that seat a little.

We've already done
that, papa.

Twice.

Last time, you said it
wouldn't go up any more.

That's right, I did.

I guess you've just
outgrown it.

Time for a new one?

I have to pick up a few things,

So I suppose we could drop by
the bicycle shop on the way.

Yay!

Hear that?

Sounds like brother's
going to get a new bike.

And you know
what that means?

The "I get it after you get
too big for it" rule!

Brother gets a new bike,
and I get brother's old bike!

Then I can ride
your old bike.

Both:
yay!

I get brother's
old bike, right, papa?

So can I ride it now?

First, I have to adjust
the seat and the handlebars

To make them "sister" size.

Safety first.

(Honking)

How long will that take, papa?

No time at all.

Huh?

Now where did I put
that bike wrench?

This may take a while.

Sister:
what do you
want to play now?

I think we've
played everything.

Papa:
told you it would
only take a minute.

As soon as
I found my wrench.

Thanks, papa.
(Honking)

(Whistling)

That certainly looks sporty.

(Gasping)

It's beautiful!

I want to ride it!

Can i, please?

Please, can i?

Hey, it's my bike!

Hold on now, sister.

You know, I think this
might be a good time

To make some lemonade.

But... But...

Mama:
be back in a jiffy, lizzy.

Brother:
woo-hoo, look at me go!

Looks to me
like you have that

"I gotta have it"
look in your eyes.

Oops.
(Giggling)

Sorry, mama.

When brother and I left,
you were all excited

About getting his old bike.

His old bike's ok,
but his new bike

Is the most beautiful bike
I've ever seen!

If I'm not mistaken,
I'd say you've been taken over

By the green-eyed monster.

The green-eyed monster?

What's that?

When you wish you had something
that belongs to someone else,

The green-eyed monster pops up

And keeps telling you
"you gotta have it."

Understand?

Yes, but mama,

It's such a
beautiful bike.

(Sighing)

Brother's new bike
is really nice,

But I like
your bike, too.

But it doesn't have three gears
or a hand-brake

Or super-sport wheels.

Well, in five or six years,

Brother's new bike
will be yours.

(Honking)
(gasping)

Oh, there's my papa!

Gotta go, bye!

Come on, lizzy.

You have to hurry if we're
gonna make it to the library.

You know, mr. Bruin, I'd be glad
to help adjust a few things.

(Chuckling)

Thanks, but I wouldn't know
where to start.

Well, personally...
(Chuckling)

I'd start with a new car!
(Laughing)

(Coughing)

(Chuckling)

I'll keep your suggestion
in mind, mr. Bear.

Sister:
but it's my turn!

Brother:
no, it's not!

Sister:
yes, it is!

Brother:
you don't get a turn.

Speaking of turns...

I know.

(Grunting)

Now, hold on a minute.

Sister, there's no point
in wanting to ride this bike.

It's too big for you.

You wouldn't even be able
to reach the pedals.

Now, what's wrong
with this bike?

Sister?

(Door slamming)

It's not fair,
it's just not fair.

Not fair...

Not fair...

(Yawning)

Huh?

(Screaming)

Hi.

(Screaming)

Wait a minute,
I know who you are.

You're the
green-eyed monster!

Good guess.

I knew you were smart.

Come on, there's something
I want you to see.

You know,
you're absolutely right.

It's not fair that brother
gets a beautiful new bike.

And all I get is an
old hand-me-down.

Exactly.

That's why you deserve
a bike just like brother's.

All you have to do is prove
you're big enough to ride it.

Go ahead, prove it.

(Gasping)

It must have been a dream.

Dream or not,

I'm going to prove
I can ride that bike!

Yum, kodiak krunchers!

My favourite.

Brother, would you please tell
sister breakfast is ready?

Sister, breakfast!

(Nervous laughing)

Oh, you meant
go tell her.

No problem.

Sister, breakfast is ready!

I don't know what papa means.

This bike isn't so big.

Well, maybe
it's a little big.

Green-eyed monster:
no, it's not.

Just climb up on the steps
and get on that way.

Go ahead, do it.

I did it!

I knew this bike
wasn't too big for...

Uh-oh.

I can't find sister
anywhere, papa.

Me neither.

(Screaming)

I can't stop!

We found sister, mama!

(Screaming)

(Bike bell ringing)

Go, brother, go!

Ok, you're doing great.

Now, squeeze the hand-brake
nice and slow.

(Panting)

Thanks, brother.

Heh, it, uh, goes
pretty fast, huh?

Ah, there we go.

It's ok.

Oh, papa!

I almost crashed
brother's new bike!

Never mind the bike!

What about you?

I had a dream that
the green-eyed monster told me

I was big enough
to ride brother's bike.

So I tried, but my feet
wouldn't touch the pedals!

I almost wrecked your bike.

I'm sorry, brother.

It's ok.

It is a great bike.

I'd be jealous, too.

Now I know that
wanting something

That belongs to someone else
isn't a nice feeling.

I sure don't like it.

I'm happy
you got a new bike.

And I got a new bike, too!

Well, sort of new.

Hey!

I have an idea about
your "sort of new" bike.

(Bike bell ringing)

Hmm... Maybe I want
my old bike back!

It looks pretty good.

No way!

You just tell that
green-eyed monster to go away.

Sister's right.

You sometimes can't help it

When that old green-eyed monster
comes knocking.

But you don't
have to let it in.

Instead, just be happy for the
person who got something nice.

(Honking)

Hi!

I took your advice.

What do you think?

That's the most beautiful car
I've ever seen.

Uh-oh, mama.

Look at papa.

I think he's got that
"I gotta have it" look!

Wire wheels, leather seats,
racing stripe...

Papa, I think you'd better
watch out for you-know-who.

(Clearing throat)

Nice-looking car, mr. Bruin.

Congratulations.

Thanks!

Bye-bye.

Is the green-eyed monster
still knocking, papa?

Yep, but I'm not going
to let him in.

Maybe I'll give
our old car a wash

And shine it up a bit.

Good idea.
